梅雨入り前のカラッとした暑さが続く名古屋は、現在の気温２６度。お日様は隠れ、一日中曇りのようですが、紫外線がすごそうです。

昨晩、今日のお天気を見ようとスマートフォンのアプリを開くと・・・

軽度の汚染となっていました。

日中はあまり見ない画面なので少し驚きました…

「敏感な人には健康被害が生じるおそれがあります。」とあったので、皆さまも夜寝る時は窓を開けっぱなしにして寝ないように。

ですが、熱中症などはもう気を付けなければいけない季節です。ご注意ください。

ところで皆さま、夏も近づくこの季節になりますと、我が家のネムノキがとっても美しい花を咲かせます。

ネムノキはマメ科ネムノキ属の落葉高木です。地植えにしておくと１０ｍくらいにまで大きくなります。日本の風土に良く合い丈夫な事から、庭木の他、公園や寺社などにも好まれて使用されます。山野に自生していることもよくあります。

ネムノキの特徴は、水鳥の産毛のようなふわふわとした花と、葉の就眠運動です。花は花芯近くの白から花びらの先端に向かって淡いピンクへとグラデーションがついているのが印象的です。

そしてこのネムノキは、暗くなると眠る就眠運動と花の美しさからよく詩歌の題材とされます。

特に有名なのは芭蕉の「奥の細道」にある名句「象潟や雨に西施がねむの花」ですね。

このネムノキの葉は、鳥の羽に似た形状の「羽状複葉（うじょうふくよう）」です。羽状複葉とは葉柄の両側に小さな葉が羽のように広がっている様子を言います。

ネムノキの名前のは夜になると、葉を眠るように閉じることからつけられたと言われていて、「合歓木（ねむのき）」という漢字も、中国ではこの葉を閉じる様子を夫婦円満に見立てて名付けられたと言われています。縁起の良い植物ですね。

昼間は写真の奥にもあるように、花も萎れたように元気がなく見えるのですが、夕方になり辺りが暗くなってくると手前のように少しずつ開き始めます。

それとは反対にネムノキの葉は、暗くなると眠くなってしまうように葉を閉じてしまう姿が、いつ見ても可愛らしく、我が家の「眠り姫」と呼んでいます。

私も負けないくらい眠り姫ですが、私の場合は昼間の暖かい日を浴びると眠くなってしまいます。（笑）

現在１４時ですが、もうそろそろ丁度良い時間になってきました・・・

話が逸れてしまいましたが、このネムノキたくさんの花を咲かせるのですが、夜になって必ず花が咲くというわけでもなく気まぐれで開かない花たちもあるのです。

今日はいくつ咲いたかな～と数を数えたりするのも、その日の楽しみだったりするのです。

また今日の夜家に帰ったら数えてみなくてはいけないですね。皆さまはいくつ咲いていると思いますか？

By the way, everyone, in this season when summer is approaching, the silk tree of my home will bloom very beautiful flowers. Albizzia is a deciduous tree of the genus Albizia in the family Leguminosae. If you plant it in the ground, it will grow to about 10m. Because it fits well with the Japanese climate and is durable, it is also used in parks and temples as well as garden trees. It often grows naturally in the mountains.

The characteristics of Albizia japonica are the fluffy flowers like the hair of a waterfowl and the sleep movement of the leaves. It is impressive that the flowers have a gradation from white near the core to pale pink toward the tips of the petals. And this silk tree is often the subject of poetry because of the sleep movement that sleeps when it gets dark and the beauty of flowers. One of the most famous is Basho’s “Oku no Hosomichi”, which is the famous phrase “Kisakata and the flowers of Xi Shiganemu in the rain.”

The leaves of Albizia japonica are “feather-like compound leaves” that resemble the feathers of a bird. A pinnate compound leaf is a state in which small leaves spread like feathers on both sides of the petiole. It is said that the name of Albizia japonica is given because it closes the leaves to sleep at night, and the Chinese character “Nemunoki” is also named after the closing of the leaves in China. It is said that it was done. It’s an auspicious plant.

In the daytime, as you can see in the back of the photo, the flowers look dull as if they were withered, but in the evening, when the area becomes dark, they start to open little by little like the front. On the other hand, the leaves of Albizia japonica are so cute that they close their leaves so that they become sleepy when it gets dark, and they are called “sleeping princesses” at home. I’m a sleeping princess as much as I can, but in my case, I get sleepy when I’m exposed to warm daytime days. (Smile) It’s 14:00 now, but it’s almost time for me …

The story goes awry, but this silk tree blooms a lot of flowers, but it does not always bloom at night, and there are some flowers that do not open on a whim. 皆様こんにちは、スタッフYでございます。

先日の友人との会話なのですが、「お天気って、旅の８割くらい気分と印象を決めるよね。」という話になりました。お天気に恵まれた旅って、それがどんな場所でも、あとからの自分の記憶はまあまあ2割増しほど印象が良く、「あそこよかったよね。」と、いうことになるのですが。

だったらお天気もよく気候の良い日を目掛けていけばよいでははないか、と最近逆の発想を思いつきまして。本来の衝動派と相まって、先日急に朝思い立って行ってまいりました「修学院離宮」。

一度訪れたことはあったのですが、その際の大変感動したことがずっと私の中では忘れられない場所でありました。訪れたのは、もちろん紅葉の美しい最高の快晴の日。ですから、また訪れる際も、ここは絶対お天気の良い日にしたいと以前から勝手に心に誓っておりました。

というわけでの突然の訪問というわけですが、さらなる突然過ぎる理由がもう一点。

ご存知のとおり、こちらの修学院離宮、桂離宮や京都仙洞御所と同じく宮内庁が管理しておりまして、見学は無料ですが見学の際は事前の予約申し込みが必要になります。なにせ事前予約の人数が現在は各回２０名、一日２回ですので一日に合計４０名。（変更する可能性もごさいますので、ご興味のございます方は、宮内庁の申し込みをご覧になってください）トップシーズンなどではやはり人気でして、３か月前からすでに抽選となり、予約で埋まってしまうという激戦でございます。

事前予約もなく何故に突然行こうと？。それはですね、なんと各回１０名の当日券というものがございまして、無謀にもそこの枠を狙っていって行ってまいりました。

お天気の良い日を絶対に狙いたいという私のような人間にとっては、この１０名の枠をダメもとで狙った方がよいのではということで、この10名×2回の枠を目掛けて整理券配布開始１１時にあわせて、現地へ向かいます。

しかし、道事情がいろいろ思うようにいかず、到着はなんと11：30。ダメかな…。と、半ばあきらめていたのですが、なんと残り数枚が！。15：00スタートの回になんとか滑り込めました泣。

そんな修学院離宮、詳しいご説明は次回のブログにつづってまいりたいと思いますが、何故私にとって印象深いのかと申しますと、私の中ではここは「借景の極だな」と、その風景に感動しながら離宮を巡った記憶がございます。けして華美な離宮ではございません。

扉をくぐった途端、その扉の向こうに「ここは桃源郷か」と、錯覚するかのような景色と時間流れの中、自然と融合するかのようなさりげなくお手入れのされた山荘と庭、そして広い敷地内では附属農地として農作物をゆったりと育てていたりと、比叡山などの山々を背後にこんな世界があったのかと大変感動致しました。

そして、その日はもちろんぬけるような青空でありました。ここの風景と共に映えた青い空が今でも大変記憶に残っております。

そんな感動を季節を違えてまたいつか訪れたいと、ひそかに企て、いよいよ先日、快晴を選んで無謀にも予約券もなく訪れることになったというわけであります。

時間は15：00少し前になりました。

これから1時間30分ほどですが、職員の方の説明を聞きながら離宮内を巡ってまいりますが、写真は自由ということでしたので、皆さまと少しでも共有できたらと思いまして、次回のブログは、つたない写真ではありますが、お伝えしていきたいと思います。

That’s why it was a sudden visit, but there is another reason why it is too sudden.

As you know, the Imperial Household Agency manages the Shugakuin Imperial Villa, Katsura Imperial Villa, and Kyoto Sento Imperial Palace, so you need to apply for a reservation in advance when you visit. After all, the number of people who make advance reservations is currently 20 people each time, twice a day, so a total of 40 people. (If you are interested, please see the application of the Imperial Household Agency as it may change.) In the top season etc., it is a fierce battle that reservations are already filled from 3 months ago.

Why do you want to go suddenly without prior reservation? .. Well, there is a ticket for 10 people each time, and I recklessly aimed at that frame.

For a person like me who absolutely wants to aim for a sunny day, it is better to aim for this 10 people frame with no use, so I am aiming for this 10 people x 2 times frame We will head to the site at 11 o’clock when the numbered ticket distribution starts.

However, the road conditions did not go as expected, and the arrival was at 11:30. Is it not good…. I had given up halfway, but there were still a few left, and I managed to slip into the start at 15:00 and cry.

I will continue to explain the details of Shugakuin Imperial Villa in the next blog, but the reason why it is so impressive to me is that this is the pole of the scenery, and I was impressed by the scenery. I have a memory of visiting. It is not a gorgeous palace.

As soon as I passed through the door, I was wondering, “Is this the Taoyuan Township?” I was very impressed by the fact that there was such a world behind the mountains such as Mt. Hiei, as I was able to relax and grow crops as an attached farmland in the garden and on the large site.

And, of course, that day was a clear blue sky. The blue sky that shined with the scenery here was still very memorable.

I secretly planned to visit such an impression in different seasons, and finally the other day, I chose fine weather and recklessly visited without a reservation ticket.

The time is a little before 15:00.

皆さま、こんにちは。スタッフＭです。

今朝は、よく通る道の花々がいつもより美しく見えたので写真を撮ってみました。

同じ道でも、その日の気分だったり、時間によって全く見え方が違うことってありませんか。

私は、今日の運勢が最下位でしたが、この花々のおかげでとても癒されたので気持ちも少しハッピーになりました。

以前のブログで「お食い初め」についてお話させていただいたのですが、今回は最近、私の韓国の知人の子供が生後１００日のお祝いをしたという話を聞いたので、「お食い初め（韓国編）」としてご紹介させていただきます。

お隣の国、韓国では日本と同じように生後１００日を迎えると、感謝の意味も込めて家族や親戚、近所の方も呼んで皆でお祝いするそうです。

現在は家族や身内だけで行うことも多いようですが、生後１００日を祝う習慣というのは昔から変わりません。

具体的にお祝いの日には、元気で長生きするよう願いが込められたチマチョゴリなどの服を着て、皆で食事をします。

そして１段または２段からなる、専用のお祝いの台座を用意し、果物や花、お餅、ケーキ、写真等を綺麗に飾りつけし、記念日を過ごします。

韓国ではお祝い事の際に、お餅を食べたり配ったりする習慣がありますが、生後１００日のお祝いにもお餅が欠かせません。

１００日のお祝いとして用意されるのは、白いお餅と小豆の粉をふったお餅の２種類が代表的です。

白いお餅は、神聖さや純潔さを表すものとして、長寿の意味が込められています。小豆の粉をふったお餅は、小豆色が悪い気を払うものとされています。

どちらのお餅もたくさん用意して、台座に飾ったあとは、お祝いに来てくれた人たちやご近所さんに配ったり、食べたりします。

この２種類の他にも、万物の調和を意味する５色のお餅や丈夫に育つようにという意味を込めたきな粉餅を用意する場合もあるそうです。

そして最近、韓国では日本も増えてきていますが、家族写真を写真館で撮る文化が浸透しています。もともと韓国には写真館がたくさんあり、節目節目で記念に写真におさめることが一般的になっているようです。

そして贈り物編として、韓国では赤ちゃんに「ペギルパンジ」と呼ばれる小さな金の指輪が贈られるそうです。

それこそよく知られているのが、ヨーロッパの１００日の贈り物として「銀のスプーン」。中国では１００日になると人生初めての剃髪を行い、剃った頭髪で「胎毛筆（たいもうふで）」と呼ばれる筆を作る習慣があります。一生に一度しか作れない貴重な筆は、とっても記念になりますよね。

当店にも様々な骨董品がありますが、もしかしたらこれも誰かからの大切な贈り物だったのかもしれません。そしてとっても大切にされて、今このように綺麗な形で残っているのでしょう。

そう考えると、やはり魅力があるこのお仕事です。

In China, it is customary to shave for the first time in life after 100 days, and to make a brush called “Taimofude” with the shaved hair. A precious brush that can only be made once in a lifetime is a very memorable one.

There are various antiques in our shop, but maybe this was also an important gift from someone. And it is very important, and it seems that it remains in such a beautiful shape now. With that in mind, this job is still attractive.

皆さま、こんにちは。

最近、家の近所を散歩し始めたのですが、公園でダッシュしている男性がいたので真似して走ってみたら太もも裏を痛めたスタッフNでございます。

準備運動の大切さを身に沁みて感じました。

さらに、先ほど、ポスティングの帰りに歩きスマホの男性とぶつかりそうになり、大事故になりかけました。

歩きスマホ本当に危ないです。やめましょう。

ひやっと続きだったので、平安神宮の写真でも観て癒されることにいたしましょう。

平安神宮と言えば、藤原紀香が結婚式をしたところというイメージが強いですね。

ここで平安神宮について調べてみました。

平安神宮（へいあんじんぐう）は、京都市左京区にある神社でございます。

1895年（明治28年）4月1日に平安遷都1100年を記念して京都で開催された内国勧業博覧会の目玉として平安京遷都当時の大内裏の一部復元が計画されました。当初は実際に大内裏があった千本丸太町に朱雀門が位置するように計画されましたが、用地買収に失敗し、当時は郊外であった岡崎に場所を移して1893年（明治26年）9月3日に地鎮祭が執り行われました。社殿は平安京の大内裏の正庁である朝堂院を模し、実物の8分の5の規模で復元されて1895年（明治28年）に完成しました。

博覧会に先立つ3月15日には、平安遷都を行った天皇である第50代桓武天皇を祀る神社として創祀されました。皇紀2600年にあたる1940年（昭和15年）に、平安京で過ごした最後の天皇である第121代孝明天皇が祭神に加えられました。平安神宮では京都を守る四神の御守が授与されております。

1976年（昭和51年）1月6日、火災（平安神宮放火事件）が発生し本殿・内拝殿など9棟が炎上、焼失しました。ただし、東西の両本殿から御神体は運び出されて無事、外拝殿である大極殿も延焼をまぬがれました。創建が比較的新しかったことから当時はこれらの建物は文化財指定を受けていなかった為、再建の為の国からの補助金が見込めませんでした。しかし、全国からの募金により、本殿や内拝殿は1979年（昭和54年）4月に再建されました。この火災は、後に日本の新左翼活動家加藤三郎の犯行と判明したそうです。

社殿は、平安京の大内裏の正庁である朝堂院（八省院）を縮小（長さ比で約8分の5）して復元したものでございます。大きく赤く光る朱色が特徴的な正面の門は、朝堂院の応天門を模しております。その内側の左右の殿舎は朝集堂の再現でございます。外拝殿は朝堂院の正殿である大極殿（左右には蒼龍楼と白虎楼が付属する）を模しております。1895年（明治28年）に完成致しました。

基本的にはこれらの建築様式は、平安時代後期（11 – 12世紀）の第3次八省院（延久4年（1072年）再建、治承元年（1177年）焼亡）を再現したものとなっております。この時の大極殿などの姿は、後白河法皇が作らせた「年中行事絵巻」に描かれているそうです。ただ、大極殿と応天門の間には本来は会昌門と朝堂12堂が存在し、応天門の左右には翔鸞楼と栖鳳楼という楼閣が付属していましたが、これらは平安神宮では復元されておりません。また、平安神宮の社殿の瓦はすべて緑釉瓦となっていますが、近年の研究によると平安時代の大極殿では軒先と棟部分だけにしか緑釉瓦は使われていなかったと推定されております。

2010年（平成22年）12月、大極殿など6棟が国の重要文化財に指定されました。また、参道の大鳥居は24.4mの高さがあり、国の登録有形文化財に登録されております。

敷地面積は約10,000坪の日本庭園である「平安神宮神苑」を含め、約20,000坪ほどございます。

今回、平安神宮神苑を眺めながらの朝食プランというのがホテルでついておりまして、恐れながら行ってまいりました。

平安神宮神苑（へいあんじんぐうしんえん）は京都府京都市左京区にある池泉回遊式の近代日本庭園でございます。平安神宮の大極殿背後の周囲三方に配された南神苑、西神苑、中神苑、東神苑で構成され、面積は33,000平方メートル、作庭は小川治兵衛、1975年（昭和50年）に国の名勝に指定されております。

明治28年（1895年）、平安遷都千百年祭が開催されるにあたり創建されることになった平安神宮の社殿一帯の風致保存のために庭園を築造することになり、神苑造営が企画されました。 当初に設けられた本殿東西の蒼龍池（東池）と百虎池（西池）の二つが最も古いそうです。

生きてきた中で、こんな優雅な朝食はないくらい幸せなひと時でありました。

たまたま他にお客様がおらず、貸し切りだったので、朝の静かな平安神宮を堪能することができました。

庭園の椅子や石が、作者が風景が美しく見える場所を教えてくれていると、スタッフの方が教えてくださったので、素敵な風景の写真を撮ることができました。

途中まで自分が貴族のような気分で歩いておりましたが、途中の橋で鯉と亀に麩菓子をあげるのに夢中になっておりました。

亀と小さい魚にあげたいのですが、風で飛ばされて大きな鯉ばかりに横取りされるのが悔しくてついつい・・・。

同じ時間に結婚式もされていたようですが、残念ながら会えませんでした。

今から１２００年前、京都が生まれたばかりの風景をさながらに体感し、感動致しました。

日本に生まれて良かったとしみじみ感じた日でございました。

Heian Jingu is a shrine located in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City.

A part of the back of Ouchi at the time of the relocation of Heiankyo was planned as the centerpiece of the National Industrial Exhibition held in Kyoto on April 1, 1895 (Meiji 28) to commemorate the 1100th anniversary of the relocation of Heian. Initially, it was planned that Suzakumon would be located in Senbon Marutamachi, where the back of Ouchi was actually located, but the land acquisition failed and the location was moved to Okazaki, which was a suburb at that time, in 1893 (Meiji 26). The groundbreaking ceremony was held on September 3rd. The shrine was reconstructed on a scale of 5/8 of the actual shrine and completed in 1895 (Meiji 28), imitating the Chodoin, which is the main office of the Ouchi back of Heiankyo.

しかし、いいこともございました。

ポスティング中に、ポストの上にいる可愛らしい白黒にゃんこに出会いました。

近くに行っても逃げないので、いつもの定位置なのでしょう。

この家に来た郵便屋さんはさぞ、ほっこりなさることでしょうね。ただし、猫好きに限りますが。

先日行った建仁寺のお話をしたいと思います。

実は建仁寺、知り合いにつれていかれるまでは存じ上げませんでした。

いざ行ってみると、今まで知らなかったのが悔やまれるくらい素晴らしいところでございました。

建仁寺（けんにんじ）は、京都市東山区にある臨済宗建仁寺派の大本山の寺院でございます。創立者は源頼家、開山は栄西でございます。かつて京都五山の第3位でありました。

俵屋宗達の「風神雷神図」、海北友松の襖絵などの文化財を豊富に伝えております。山内の塔頭としては、桃山時代の池泉回遊式庭園で有名であり、貴重な古籍や漢籍・朝鮮本などの文化財も多数所蔵していることで知られる両足院などがございます。また、豊臣秀吉を祀る高台寺や、「八坂の塔」のある法観寺は建仁寺の末寺だそうです。寺号は「けんにんじ」と読むが、地元では「けんねんさん」の名で親しまれております。なお、しばしば日本最初の禅寺といわれますが、これは間違いで、博多の聖福寺（妙心寺派）が最初の禅寺だそうです。

日本に臨済宗を正式に伝えたのは栄西であるとされております。栄西は永治元年（1141年）、備中国に生まれました。13歳で比叡山に上り翌年出家。仁安3年（1168年）と文治3年（1187年）の2回、南宋に渡航致しました。1度目の渡宋はわずか半年でしたが、2度目の渡宋の際、臨済宗黄龍派（おうりょうは）の虚庵懐敞（きあんえじょう）に参禅致しました。

建久2年（1191年）、虚庵から印可（師匠の法を嗣いだという証明）を得て帰国致します。当時、京都では比叡山延暦寺の勢力が強大で、禅寺を開くことは困難でありました。栄西は初め九州博多に聖福寺を建て、のち鎌倉に移り、北条政子の援助で正治2年（1200年）に建立された寿福寺の開山となります。

その2年後の建仁2年（1202年）、鎌倉幕府2代将軍源頼家の援助を得て、元号を寺号とし、京都における臨済宗の拠点として建立されたのが建仁寺でございます。

特に、中庭は四方どこから見ても美しく時間を忘れて皆畳の上に静かに座っておりました。

畳に座って中庭をぼんやり眺めるだけでも、建仁寺に来る価値があると思います。

創建当時の建仁寺は真言院・止観院を構え、天台・真言・禅の3宗並立でありました。これは当時の京都では真言、天台の既存宗派の勢力が強大だったことが背景にあるそうです。

寛元4年（1246年）6月と翌寛元5年（1247年）、そして建長8年（1256年）7月に焼失し衰微しました。しかし、正嘉元年（1258年）5月、東福寺開山の円爾（聖一国師）が当山に入寺し仏殿などを復興致します。翌、正元元年（1259年）には宋僧の蘭渓道隆が11世住職として入寺し、臨済禅道場となりこの頃から純粋禅の寺院となります。文永2年（1265年）には臨済禅寺となり、寺名を建寧寺に改名致します。

そして、康永元年（1342年）寺名を建仁寺に戻します。

応永4年（1397年）11月、応仁の乱に巻き込まれて焼失致します。文明13年（1481年）にも炎上しており、当寺は火災が多く創建当時の建物は残って。おりません。

天正年間（1573年 – 1592年）に安国寺恵瓊が復興に努め、江戸時代にも修理が継続して行われました。

法堂（京都府指定有形文化財） は仏殿（本尊を安置する堂）と法堂（はっとう、講堂にあたる）を兼ねている当寺の本堂でございます。明和2年（1765年）再建され、2002年（平成14年）創建800年を記念して天井に小泉淳作により「双龍図」が描かれました。方丈と渡り廊下で繋がっております。

写真で見ても伝わるこの迫力、素晴らしいですね。実際には、想像よりも天井が高く広かったので驚きました。

方丈（重要文化財） – 長享元年（1487年）の建立で、もと安芸国の安国寺にあり、安国寺恵瓊が慶長4年（1599年）に建仁寺に移築したものでございます。東側に設けられた大玄関を介して本坊と連結しており、創建当初は杮葺であったが元文元年（1736年）に瓦葺きに改められました。建物の外周すべてに建具が入り壁が少ない構造のためか、1934年（昭和9年）の室戸台風で倒壊し、1940年（昭和15年）に創建当初の杮葺で復旧されました。その後1962年（昭和37年）に銅板葺きに改められていたが、2013年（平成25年）に杮葺に復しました。各室には桃山時代の画壇を代表する画家の一人である海北友松の水墨障壁画がありましたが、現在は襖から掛軸に改装され、京都国立博物館に寄託されております。台風被害の復旧後は、日本画家橋本関雪による障壁画『生生流転』（しょうじょうるてん）『伯楽』『深秋』『蕭條』『松韻（寒山子）』（計60面、1940年完成）が設置されております方丈前庭「大雄苑」 -枯山水庭園。1940年（昭和15年）の作庭。

庭園「〇△□乃庭」 – 2006年（平成18年）北山安夫による作庭でございます。

風神雷神図 – 俵屋宗達筆。金地の二曲一双屏風のそれぞれに風神と雷神を描いております。たっぷりと取られた余白が広い空間を暗示し、天空を駆ける両神のダイナミックな動きを感じさせます。印も落款もありませんが、俵屋宗達の代表作として名高いです。原本は京都国立博物館に寄託され、常時の公開はされておりませんが、複製の屏風および陶板は建仁寺で見ることができます。元々は京都の豪商・打它公軌（うだきんのり/糸屋十右衛門）が建仁寺派である妙光寺再興の記念に俵屋宗達に製作を依頼したもので、その後、妙光寺から建仁寺に寄贈されました。

壮大な天井画、絵にかいたような中庭、今にも飛び出しそうな襖絵などが堪能できるアーティスティックな建仁寺、大好きになりました。

次回京都旅行に来た時も、ぜひ行きたい場所です。

皆さま、こんにちは。スタッフＭです。

今日は雨予報でしたが、いつのまにかすっかり晴れて、蒸し暑さが戻ってきました。

ゴールデンウィークも明けて、そろそろ4月の環境の変化なども合わせて一気に疲れがくる頃ではないでしょうか。

私の今年のゴールデンウィークはというと、せっかく行動制限のない連休でしたが、どこにも行かずいつも通りの日々を送っておりました。（笑）

そこで今回は「次の連休こそ行きたい場所」について書かせていただきます。

私のここ最近行きたい場所が、「沖縄・座間味島」です。

今、朝ドラでも話題の沖縄ですが、もともと本島も離島も大好きで訪れたことがあるのですが、「座間味島」には一度も行ったことがないのです。

座間味島は、面積6.7㎢、人口６００人ほどの小さな島で、砂浜と「ケラマブルー」と称される美しい青い海で有名で、世界中のダイバーが「いつか訪れたい」と願う海だそうです。

もちろんダイバーだけでなく、２０１４年に座間味島のある慶良間諸島が国立公園に指定されたことで一般の方にも広く知られるようになりました。

座間味島は港や商店がある座間味村の中心「座間味集落」、ミシュラン・グリーンガイド2つ星の古座間味ビーチ東側の「阿佐集落」、ウミガメと出会える確率が高いと言われる西側の阿真ビーチ近く「阿真集落」の3つに分かれています。

中でも私が気になっているスポットが座間味集落にあります「古座間味ビーチ」です。

話が変わってしまいますが、実は昨年からサーフィンを始めまして。なので海のアクティビティがかなり気になっているのです。

そこで今年こそは、サーフィン＋ダイビングも始めたいなあと思っております。

これもあり、この古座間味ビーチに興味を持ちました。

話が逸れましたが、座間味がなぜダイビングスポットで有名なのか。それは海が穏やかで砂地が多いこと、そして透明度の高い海と世界に誇るサンゴ礁。

とくにサンゴ礁の美しさは言葉にならないほどなんだとか。座間味島のある慶良間諸島には現在２５０種のサンゴが生息します。

これは世界に生息するサンゴの１/５に匹敵し、その群生する密度や種類の豊富さから非常に貴重なエリアとして世界中から知られています。

また５～６月の大潮の際にはサンゴの産卵も見られるということで、その様子はまさに星空の下にいるような雰囲気だそうです。

一度でいいから見てみたいですよね。

こうやって調べているとますます行きたくなります。

週末にかけて雨ということで、気分もブルーになってしまいそうな今日、皆さまいかがお過ごしでしょうか。

今回のブログでは少しでも晴れた気持ちになれるよう（最近の出来事を話したいだけです）お食い初めについてお話させていただきます。

というのも実は先週、姪っ子の「お食い初め」を行いました。私自身、初の行事ということで、とても楽しみにしていた行事の１つなのです。

簡単にお食い初めについて説明させていただきますと、お食い初めは「１００日祝い」「百日祝い」とも呼ばれる生後１００日のお祝い事です。

平安時代から行われている、歴史のある伝統行事で”一生、食べることに困らないように”と赤ちゃんの健やかな成長を願って行われます。

お食い初めでは初めて箸を使ってお魚を食べさせる真似をすることから「箸揃え」「箸祝い」「真魚始め（まなはじめ）」とも呼ばれるそうです。

このように地域によっても色々な呼び方で呼ばれていますが、赤ちゃんが数か月間無事に成長してきたことを家族でお祝いし、感謝するという意味合いは変わりません。

お食い初めの起源や由来は、平安時代に遡り、赤ちゃんにお餅を食べさせる「百日（ももか）」という行事があり、これがお食い初めの始まりと言われています。

最初は、生後５０日に行われていたので「五十日（いのか））の祝い」といわれ、食べさせるお餅を「五十日餅（いのかもち）」と呼んでいました。重湯の中にお餅を入れ、そのお餅を赤ちゃんの口に少しだけ含ませるというものでした。やがて五十日のお祝いが百日になり、鎌倉時代には餅から魚肉に変わり、「真魚初め」と呼ばれるようになりました。

昔は衛生面や栄養面も良くなく、無事に育つことが難しかったので、様々な節目で赤ちゃんの成長を祈る儀式やお祝いが行われてきました。そして歴史を重ね、生後１００日頃にお祝い膳をこしらえ、お祝いするという伝統が現代に伝わっているそうです。

お祝い膳は、日本古来の献立「一汁三菜」が基本とされています。鯛など尾頭つきの魚と、赤飯、吸い物、煮物、香の物が献立となります。また、生後１００日前後は、早い子ですと乳歯が生え始めることから、「歯固めの石」を用意し、丈夫な歯が生えるようにという願いを込めます。

献立の内容は、地域で特色も多く、地方ごとの名産物が加えられたりと様々。

北海道では小豆ではなく甘納豆を入れてお赤飯を炊くことが定着していたり、大阪などでは「多幸」という語呂合わせから、縁起の良い食べ物とされ歯固めの石の代わりにタコを使う場合もあるそうです。

地域によっては、歯固めの石として他に「梅干し」「栗の実」「紅白餅」などを使ったり、九州地方では漆塗りの食器の代わりに松竹梅と鶴亀の絵が描かれた「ポッポ膳」と呼ばれる食器を使用したりもするそうです。

地域によっていろいろな形のお食い初めがあり、それだけでも面白く興味深いですね。

今回姪っ子のお祝い膳はスタンダードなもので、鯛、赤飯、吸い物、煮物、香の物という献立と、歯固めの石が用意されていました。

普段はミルクしか飲まない姪っ子ですが、その日は口に赤飯を運ばれるとおっきくあけて食べようとしていたのがとても可愛らしかったです。

お食い初めは地域にとっても違いますが、国によっても祝い方が様々あります。

次回は、世界のお食い初めについても調べてみたいと思います。

こちらの「ルーツ」、よく見ますとその膝を抱えて座っている姿には8つの言語が。それらの文字を使って型取った巨大なパブリックアートであります。使用されている言語は、日本語、中国語、アラビア語、ヘブライ語、ラテン語、ギリシャ語、ヒンディー語、ロシア語の8種のようですが、かろうじて日本語は読み取れますね。それにしても、巨人。

この「ルーツ」は、それぞれの文化を映し出す文字を通じて「世界の多様性」を表現し、「多様な文化の違いを越えて、人々が平和的に共存すること」を象徴する作品として、そして虎ノ門ヒルズをルーツ（起点）に、世界の人々が共存する国際的な街づくりを進め、東京を世界一の都市にしたいという願いを込め、この広場に座っております。

そして、作者のジャウメ・プレンサですが、彼はスペインを代表する世界的なアーティスト。鉄やブロンズ、ガラスなどの素材に哲学的なメッセージを込めた作品を多く制作し、造形性の高さとコンセプトの深さを高く評価されております。

1999年には、舞台美術界のアカデミー賞とも言われるプラハのカドリエンナーレでゴールドメダルを受賞するなど、数々の賞を受賞。日本では2010年瀬戸内トリエンナーレにて瀬戸内海の男木島に船の発着場の設計を行っているようですね。

そんな巨人の佇むこちらのオーバル広場。もちろん都会で一息つけるエリアであるのですが、この芝生においてなんとヨガ活なども行われているようです。オフィスだけだと思われた虎ノ門一体において、このような開放的な自分活動もできるんですね。

そしてこの虎ノ門ヒルズ、全体もまだまだ進化途中なのですが、これら全てが完成すると区域面積7.5ha、延床面積80万m²、約30万m²の国際水準のオフィス、約720戸のレジデンス、約26,000m²の商業店舗、約350室のホテル、約15,000m²の緑地空間を備え、道路や鉄道などの交通インフラとも一体化した複合都市となるとのこと。先日訪れた名古屋の「ノリタケの森」ではないですが、このところの都市計画が大変面白い。

どの計画も、働くことと暮らすこと活動することの境界線や、ビルや人工的な建物と緑の境界線をとっぱらい、すべてにおいて「共生」の中、そこでいかにそこでいかに時を快適に自分らしく過ごすかを目指しているように私にはみえてまいります。

そんな中「ルーツ」は、ぬけるような青空を背にして、進化する風景や忙しく行き交う人々やくつろぐ人々を、ゆったりと座って眺めているような象徴的でありました。

そしてその後、ヒルズを後にし折角虎ノ門に訪れましたので、23区内で最も標高の高い山に登頂してまいりました。出世の階段を上って「愛宕神社へ」笑。

傾斜40度近くの階段を上っていきましたが、決して後ろを振り返ってはなりません…。曲垣平九郎、どうやって馬で駆け上ったのか、ありえん…と、息を切らしながら一気に階段を駆け上がるのが精いっぱいでありました。

とまあ疲れきって階段の記憶しか残っておりませんが、虎ノ門界隈、意外とゆったり過ごせ、ゆったりと都内を過ごすことができました。皆様も、是非一度訪れてみては。

つい先日まで桜の追っかけみたいなブログばかり綴っていたというのに、先日、お知り合いの方から「芍薬」をいただきました。こんな風に季節の草花を追っかけておりますと、季節はどんどん進んでまいりますね笑。

昨年も店舗に飾っておりましただ、本年もできるだけたくさんの方と愛でたいと思い、店舗に飾っております。昨夜いただいた時には、ピンポン玉のような蕾であったのですが、今朝にはその蕾が緩み、眠っていた花弁がいよいよ光を浴びて目を覚ましてきたようです。あの蕾の中によく収まっていたものだなと思うほどに花弁があふれでて、開いた花は手のひらを広げたくらいの大きさにはなっているでしょうか。

この大胆で妖艶なこの花が咲ききる様子にまさに虜。わたくしは「まさに花の女王」だなと毎年勝手に思っているのですが。

ところで昨日いただいたこの芍薬、毎年同じ方からいただくのですが、実はその方もお知り合いの方からいただくそうです。お花を生業としている方なのですか？と尋ねたところ、全くの家庭栽培とのこと。ですが、これは家庭栽培の域をこえておりますね…。こんな私にまでお裾分けしていただけるのですから、かなり栽培していらっしゃるのでしょう。ちょっとおかしなことになっておりますが、この場をお借りして「ありがとうございます。今年もとても綺麗です。」と、お礼を申し上げたいと思います。

芍薬、実は日本へは平安時代以前に薬草として伝えられましたが、その後は観賞用として多数の園芸品種がつくられ、それらは「和シャクヤク」と呼ばれます。「和シャクヤク」は一重咲きや翁咲きなど、比較的シンプルですっきりした花形のものが多く見られます。また、ヨーロッパでも育成されており、その品種は洋シャクヤクと呼ばれ、こちらは手まり咲きやバラ咲きなど弁数が多く香りの強いものが多いのが特徴のようです。最近は両方の交配による新しい品種も育成され、また、ボタンとの交配種もつくられたりシャクヤクは様々な品種が多く見られておりまして、このところの芍薬に目が離せませんね。

そんな芍薬ですから、昔から虜になった方はもちろんどこにもいたようです。

そんな思いが残っているのがまさに絵画。現在のようなカメラや携帯はない時代ですから、キャンバスの中に残したいと思ったことでしょう。ゴッホ「芍薬バラのある器」、マネ「芍薬の花瓶」など数々の有名な作品に残っておりますが、その妖艶な姿をどのように伝えようかと考慮する画家たちの様子が伺い知れます。どちらの作品の芍薬も華やかな花弁の多いタイプでして、花瓶からあふれんばかりの様子から、虜になった気持ちが伝わってまいりますね。

そしてですね、日本にも虜になった絵師が。葛飾北斎の「芍薬　カナアリ」という作品に、カナアリ（カナリア）と共に芍薬が描かれております。こちらの芍薬は、オランダ芍薬のようだということで、花弁割とシンプルですが、大胆な花弁を表現したかったのでしょうか、画面いっぱいに描かれております。

このように芍薬の虜となったのは、私の私のお知り合いと芍薬を育てているその方だけではなかったようですね…。といいますか、時代やお国を越えてみなさん虜になっているようでした。

と、ブログを綴っておりましたら、花びらが益々大きく咲いてまいりましたよ。

The petals are so overflowing that I think they fit well in those buds, and the open flowers are about the size of an open palm.

The appearance of this bold and bewitching flower in full bloom is truly captivating. Every year I think that I am the “queen of flowers”.

By the way, this peony that I received yesterday is received from the same person every year, but in fact, that person is also said to be obtained from an acquaintance. Are you a flower profession?
