スタッフYです。本来は珈琲がすきなのですが、ここのところ違うお茶にチャレンジしています。

今日は、紅茶にしてみました。

なぜ、紅茶にチャレンジしているのかと申しますと、日本生理人類学という学会の論文にて紅茶の香りが

女性の睡眠の質を高めることが明らかになったとのこと。

睡眠の質が良くない自覚がある健常な女性20名を対象に選出し、試験品は、紅茶の香り

（ダージリン紅茶の芳香蒸留水：アロマウォーター）とプラセボに水を用いての実験。

被験者の自宅寝室にて、超音波式ディフューザーを用いて、就寝時に紅茶の香りを揮散させる期間と水を

揮散させる期間の各1週間実施したそうです。

実験結果によると、なんと被検者の平均入眠時間が平均30分が15分以下となっており、睡眠時間も平均30分増えているとのこと。

とまぁ、こんな具合でスタッフYの人体実験が始まりました。

寝る前に紅茶の香りをかげばよいとのことですが、一旦紅茶派にシフトしてしまいますと、日中も紅茶生活になってしまった次第です。

最近いただいているのは、日本で生産された紅茶。

味覚を文章に落とし込むのは非常に難しいのですが、すっきりとした喉越しで、この紅茶のお里は日本だよねと、わかります。

日本茶の茶葉の記憶が私に沁みついているからでしょうかね、抵抗なく好きでした。

日本人と紅茶の出会いは、天皇でも将軍でもなく、意外なことに伊勢の船頭『大黒屋光太夫』という方。

1782年（天明２）12月、伊勢の白子浜（鈴鹿市）の出港し、江戸を目指していたのですが、駿河沖で暴風雨に遭遇し、

ロシアアラスカにある島に漂着します。その時の船積みの荷物が雛人形や、錦の衣装、陶器、金銀の品々だったため、

また、当時ロシアの船長や航海士は上流階級だったため、光太夫も身分ある行商人と誤解されたようです。

来賓待遇だったとか笑。

そこになんと、エカテリーナ二世に日本に帰る直訴ができるチャンスが到来、女帝も何度も光太夫を宮中へ招待して、

光太夫は日本について語ることがあったとか。後に、花柄の描かれたティーカップや＆ソーサ―で紅茶でのおもてなしを

受けたとの報告が残っております。

光太夫さん、高価な船積みの荷物のお陰ですごく貴重な体験をされましたね。

というわけで、店主から早々にいただきましたホワイトデーのお菓子（ありがとうございます）と共に、

人体実験いやいや、おいしくお菓子と紅茶いただきます。

梅の花も咲いて、私はすっかり春の気分になっています。これから本格的に訪れるであろう春を120パーセントの私で迎えるため、春らしい音楽を聴いています。準備運動はばっちりです^^

春らしい音楽を聴こうと考えて、真っ先に私が思いついたのはヴィヴァルディの四季でした。（「春」と入っているからという、とても単純な理由ですが…）

アントニオ・ヴィヴァルディが生まれたのは今からおよそ340年ほど前のことです。

作曲家、ヴァイオリニスト、音楽教師、司祭など彼はたくさんの肩書を持っていたようです。

今でも、「協奏曲の父」や「赤毛の司祭」など多くの呼び名がありますね。

四季は、「春」「夏」「秋」「冬」の四つからなりますが（ヴィヴァルディ本人がこう称したわけではないそうです）、

皆さまはどの季節が好きですか。

春を歓迎しているような美しい旋律で、そよ風すら感じられるような「春」ももちろん好きですが、私は「夏」が好きです。

照りつける太陽の様子や、稲妻と雷鳴の轟きが恐ろしい嵐の様子が目に浮かびます。

燃ゆる女の肖像という映画はご覧になりましたか。セリーヌ・シアマ監督による、フランス映画です。

カンヌ国際映画祭にて脚本賞や、クィア・パルム賞も受賞した、絵画のような美しい作品です。

舞台は18世紀フランス、ブルターニュの孤島です。

古い油彩画にまつわる、貴族の娘と、その肖像画を描く女性画家の思い出がとても鮮やかに描かれています。

劇中で、ヴィヴァルディの四季より「夏」が用いられていたのですが、思わず息を止めて聞き入ってしまいました。見知っていた曲が、今までとは全く違う曲のように聞こえました。

こんにちは。名古屋は朝からしっとりとした小糠雨といったところです。

春の小糠雨は少し寒さの中にも暖かい空気が混じったような雨ですね。

春の情報は掴んでいたい性分なので、雨といえど、春めいた言い方はないかと調べてみました。

雨の呼び名はなんと400語以上のあるとのこと。春雨、紅雨、菜種梅雨、催花雨…などなど。春の雨にもいろいろ呼び名があるのだと。自分が生きている間に使わない言葉ばかりでは忍びないので、少しだけでも触れてみることにしました。

『小糠雨』とは音もなく降る細かな雨でして、季節は限定されない言葉ですが、春や秋の柔らかな季節に降る雨の方がイメージにあっているような気がします。

小糠雨の糠（ぬか）は、米糠のように細かな様子を表す言葉です。その糠の上につく小もまた細かなという意味ですから、小糠雨といえば本当に細かな雨という事になります。

また、細かな雨が音もなく降り傘を差さなくとも歩けるほどで、傘を差 しても傘に落ちかかる雨音も聞こえず、いつの間にか衣服がしっとりと 湿ってしまうような雨でもあります。

この雨音を立てないところから小糠雨 には「音なき雨」という名前も。ただし、細かくて音のない雨を甘く見ると、これが風邪の因になる事もありますのでお気をつけて。

親爺の小言と小糠の雨は後で効く

なんていう諺もあるようです。

本日は春繋がりで、春の名古屋の情報を少し。

古美術風光舎名古屋店から車で15分、お隣東区にあります徳川美術館の特別展のご紹介です。

毎年この時期に私の大好きなこちらの美術館にて、『尾張徳川家の雛まつり』と題して、尾張徳川家の姫君のためにあつらえた雛人形や雛道具が展示されております。スタッフY、各地の雛人形の展示を結構巡っておりますが、徳川美術館の雛人形、お道具は私史上1，2位にランキング入りするのではと勝手に思っております。

こちらの、雛人形お道具はさすが尾張御三家筆頭の名にふさわしい質の高さを誇っておりまりまして、

実際の婚礼調度品をそのままミニチュアにしたかのような雛道具の精巧な作りは本当に圧巻です。また今年は尾張徳川家21代義宜(よしのぶ)夫妻が長女紹子（つぐこ)氏のために作らせた内裏雛飾りも初公開のようです。

内裏雛もさることながら、スタッフYがいつも注視しているのはお道具です。

尾張家11代斉温（なりはる）継室・俊恭院福君の雛道具は素晴らしいらしく、蒔絵の払箱は、近衛家の家紋である抱牡丹紋と、徳川家の葵紋を散りばめてた図柄に、金具は銀が用いられています。現存する大名家伝来の雛道具の中で、もっとも大揃えで豪華なお道具だそうです。

今年は、福君の実際の婚礼調度品の払箱と、雛道具の払箱を見比べられるよう展示されているそうです。

遠方の皆さまも自粛期間が明けましたら、是非観にいらしてみて下さい。

The lacquer box of the lacquer work of Fuku-kun, the 11th generation of the Owari family, is wonderful, and the pattern is studded with the Konoe family crest, the peony crest, and the Tokugawa family crest. 暖かい春までもう少しという今日この頃でしょうか。

本日は、骨董・古美術とは一見関わりのないような宇宙の話しです。笑

先日、NASAの火星探査ミッション「マーズ2020」の探査車『Perseverance（パーセベランス、パーサヴィアランス）』　が、火星のイシディス平原西端にあるジェゼロ・クレーターへの着陸に成功したとのニュースが出ました。

着陸直後に届いたモノクロ画像に続き、Perseverance （＝火星の岩石を収集する火星探査機）が撮影した最初のカラー画像などがNASAのジェット推進研究所（JPL）から公開されています。

Perseverance が火星に降り立つ様子や、地面の様子が高解像度なフルカラー画像で収められているようです。

なんだか遥か遠くではものすごい技術を駆使し、ものすごいことをやっていますね！

そして、Perseverance  が火星への降下中に撮影した動画や、初めて録音された音も公開しているとのこと。

スタッフ I 、この画像を見た感想＿火星版ロビンソン・クルーソーとも呼ばれる長編小説「火星の人」を原作とする、映画「オデッセイ」のまんまじゃないか！と思いました。

というのも、NASAの惑星科学部長（すごい役職ですね笑）のジェームズ・L・グリーンは、”「火星の人」は程々に現実的だ”と述べているそう。

科学的正確性も併せ持っているほど、ストーリーの面白味が増すのでしょうね。

地球人はどうしてこんなにも火星火星！と惹きけられているのかと思うことがあります。

科学の進展によって様々な真相が解明されつつも、一般人からしたら謎だらけですよね。

ますます神話的魅力を増していると言われる惑星。

古来より人間は未知のものにロマンを感じたりしてきたのでしょうね。

ここで古美術話…

骨董品や古美術品は人からひとへ渡っていく過程で、それぞれに思いを巡らしたり、こんな人がこんな風に使っていたのかなと想像を膨らませたり、新品には無いエピソードを考えるのが面白さの一つだと思います。

時には勝手に自分だけの歴史を作ってみたり…

そういう点では、遥か彼方の宇宙も身近にある古美術品も人々を魅了する共通部分があるんじゃないかとこじつけてみました笑。

クイズです。ここは、何の施設でしょう？

答えは、図書館。カフェではありません笑。岐阜県や近県の方は、ご存知でしょうね。

古美術風光舎　名古屋店のあります名古屋市内から車で1時間半、お隣岐阜県に2015年に開館しました『みんなの森　ぎふメディアコスモス』の中にあります、岐阜市立中央図書館です。

6年前に開館しましたがなかなか訪れることができず、やっとの訪問。密を避け、また、夜が素敵とのことで夜の訪問にいたしました。

設計を手掛けたのは、建築界のノーベル賞”と称されるプリツカー賞を受賞した伊東豊雄さん。伊藤豊雄設計事務所です。

伊東豊雄さんは、せんだいメディアパークや、松本市民芸術館など国内外の建造物を手掛けていらっしゃる有名な建築家でして、

落ち着いたらこちらの図書館は一度は見に行かねばと思っておりました。

図書館に入るとまず目に飛び込んでくるのは、天井から吊るされた巨大な傘のような〝グローブ〟とよばれるもので、図書館の象徴的な存在となっております。11個のグローブにそれぞれ名前がついており、「文学のグローブ」「展示グローブ」「ゆったりグローブ」など、それぞれのグローブの模様が違っていて、そのグローブは入り口の案内板と対応しており、本を探す時に便利ですね。グローブの大きさは、行って体感してみてください笑。

しかしこのグローブ、視覚的なインパクトを与えるだけだけで無く、その機能もしっかりとした意味がありました。

上部は開閉式で季節ごとに自然喚起できるようになっており、グローブの中に立つと、空気が流れているのが体感できます。

また、そのグローブに沿って本棚が渦巻く様に配置しており、奥と手前の本の背表紙がしっかりと見え、無意識に本が探しやすくなっておるではないか！

本棚も低めに設定しており、図書館の全景が見渡せ開放感も抜群。

それから、なんといってもこの天井。緩やかに曲線を描いており、たわんだ天井の印影がグローブを大きく包み込んでいます。

構造は、地元の銘木「東濃ヒノキ」を使った細長い板状の木材を組み上げ、木材が自然にたわむ力を利用してこのような形状を保っているとか。図書館建設時、ちょうど東日本大震災直後で材不足だったこともあり、比較的とりやすい長い板を利用する設計にしたそうです。このたわんだ天井、私は時空が歪んだような感覚になるのですが、木材でできているせいからか柔らかく暖かい印象で、この歪んだ空間に包まれててもいいと思ってしまうのは、私だけでしょうか。

図書館は夜でしたから人もまばらでしたが、目的の違う様々な年代の方がそれぞれゆっくりと居心地よく過ごしておりましたね。

スタッフYもしばし、このグローブの下で本を読んでおりましたが、夜に来て正解でした。ほんのりあかりのついたグローブの下はあたたかな祠のようで、何故だか広い空間にも関わらず、本にとても集中できます。いつまでも居たくなる居心地のよい図書館でした。ご近所の方羨ましいですね。

お伝えするのがなかなか難しいので、是非一度体感しにいらしてみて下さい。

It opened 6 years ago, but I couldn’t visit it easily, so I finally visited. I decided to visit at night because I avoided the crowds and said that the night was wonderful.

The design was done by Toyo Ito, who won the Pritzker Prize, which is called the “Nobel Prize in the architectural world.” Toyo Ito Design Office.

Toyo Ito is a famous architect who works on domestic and foreign buildings such as Sendai Media Park and Matsumoto Performing Arts Center.

When I calmed down, I thought I should go to see this library once.

When you enter the library, the first thing that comes to your eyes is what is called a “glove” that looks like a huge umbrella hung from the ceiling, and has become a symbol of the library. Each of the 11 gloves has a name, and each glove has a different pattern such as “literary glove”, “exhibition glove”, and “loose glove”, and the glove corresponds to the information board at the entrance. , It’s convenient when looking for a book. Please go and experience the size of the glove.

However, this glove not only gave a visual impact, but its function also had a solid meaning.

The upper part is openable so that you can naturally arouse each season, and when you stand in the glove, you can feel the air flowing.

In addition, the bookshelves are arranged so that they swirl along the glove, and the spine of the books in the back and front can be seen clearly, making it easier to find books unconsciously!

The bookshelf is also set low so that you can see the whole view of the library and the feeling of openness is outstanding.

After all, this ceiling. It draws a gentle curve and wraps the glove greatly.

The locals also assemble elongated plate-shaped wood using the famous wood “Tono Hinoki” and use the force of the wood to bend naturally to maintain this shape. When the library was constructed, there was a shortage of materials just after the Great East Japan Earthquake, so it was designed to use a long board that is relatively easy to take. This flexible ceiling makes me feel that space-time is distorted, but because it is made of wood, it gives a soft and warm impression, and I want to be surrounded by this distorted space. Is it just?

The library was sparse because it was night, but people of various ages with different purposes were spending time and comfort.

Staff Y I used to read a book under this glove, but I came at night and the answer was correct. Under the glove with a slight light, it looks like a warm shrine, and for some reason, despite the large space, you can concentrate on the book very much. It was a cozy library that made me want to stay forever. I envy the neighbors.

人生にはいろんな時間の過ごし方があるなとつくづく思います。

話は変わりまして、ある中学校の美術科期末テスト。

問題形式がスタッフ I の時代とは様変わりしていました。

（何十年も前の話なので当たり前ですが…笑）

配点の大半はプリントされている作品を見て、作品名・作者名・そして所蔵場所まで答えるというものです。

（そして裏面には実技としてスケッチを描く。）

出題作品の中に洋画家・荻須高徳氏の「広告のある家”パリの屋根の下”」がありました。

稲沢市ご出身の方だったのですね。

（愛知県つながりで出題されたようです。）

氏の作品は外国人画家が制作したような印象を個人的には受けます。

半世紀あまりにわたってフランス・パリに暮らし、生活の匂いが漂うパリの裏街を描き続けたということで、納得です。

性に合い、すっかり魅了されたのでしょうね。

安住したいと思い、かつそこでのお仕事をし続けられるなんて羨ましいかぎりです。

戦後再び渡仏してからの作品は人の姿が消え、次第に人々の暮らしや息づかいが感じられる穏やかで静かな変わっていったそう…

パリ市長に”最もフランス的な日本人”と称され、様々な賞も授与されたとのことです。

素朴さもありながら、リアルにも感じる_

今なおファンの多い画家さんだと思います。

稲沢市荻須記念美術館にて展示されているそうですので、名古屋からほど近い場所でパリの雰囲気を感じられますね。

スタッフ I 、学生さんたちに負けないよう芸術の知識を増やさねば！と感化されております。

I think that there are many ways to spend time in life.

The story has changed, a junior high school art department final exam.

The question format has changed from the time of Staff I.

(It’s a story decades ago, so it’s natural … lol)

Most of the points are given by looking at the printed work and answering the work name, author name, and even the holding location.

(And draw a sketch on the back as a practical skill.)

Among the questions asked was “House with advertisement” Under the roof of Paris “” by Western-style painter Takanori Ogisu.

You were from Inazawa City, didn’t you?

(It seems that the question was given in connection with Aichi Prefecture.)

I personally get the impression that his work was made by a foreign painter.

I am convinced that I lived in Paris, France for more than half a century and continued to draw the back streets of Paris with the scent of life.

I think he was completely fascinated by his gender.

I’m jealous of wanting to live comfortably and being able to continue working there.

After the war, the work after returning to France disappeared, and gradually changed to a calm and quiet atmosphere where people’s lives and breathing could be felt …

He was called the “most French Japanese” by the Mayor of Paris and was awarded various awards.

It feels real while being simple _

I think he is still a painter with many fans.

It is said that it is exhibited at the Oguisu Memorial Museum of Art in Inazawa, so you can feel the atmosphere of Paris in a place close to Nagoya.

Staff I, I have to increase my knowledge of art so as not to lose to the students! I am inspired.

皆さま、「花の兄」って言葉を聞いたことございますでしょうか？

スタッフＴは、昨年２月の茶道のお稽古で、お茶勺の銘に使わせていただきました。

梅の別名なんです。早春に他の花に先駆けて咲くので、このように呼ぶのですね。

じゃあ、梅・桃・桜の順で咲いていくのだから、

弟たちは桃や桜かな～なんて思っていたら、

「花の弟」は菊の花の喩えでした。

その年の最初と最後に咲くから兄と弟ってことなんですね。

（梅は花の兄　菊は花の弟（『譬喩尽（たとえづくし）』江戸後期の諺語辞典　天明6年(１７８６)序））

そして、「花の父母」とは、「雨」や「露」のことだそうです。

それらが草や木を潤して育てることから生まれた言葉だとか。

そのおかげで美しく花開くことが出来るんですね。

他にも、花笑み　花色衣　花筏　花吹雪　花霞・・・

日本語には花に関する素敵な言葉がいろいろあります。
スタッフＴがいつも楽しみにしていた茶道の稽古は、
年初より先生の御配慮でお休みが続いております。
茶室の緊張感のある雰囲気が懐かしく思い出されることです。

名古屋市でもワクチン接種が始まりました。

できるだけ早く日常生活が戻ってくることを祈っております。

Flowers related etc.　 (from antique art Fukosha)

Have you ever heard the word “older brother of the flower”?

Staff T has used it as a name for the  bamboo teaspoon at the tea ceremony lesson in February last year.

It’s another name for plum. It blooms before other flowers in early spring, so it’s called this way.

Well, the plums, peaches, and cherry blossoms will bloom in that order in spring. If plum’s younger brothers were vaguely wondering if they were peaches or cherry blossoms ” younger brother of the flowerr” was a metaphor for chrysanthemum flowers. It’s come from  the first and the last of the year. (Ume is the older brother of flowers, Kiku is the younger brother of flowers (“Parables”, a proverbial dictionary of the late Edo period, Tenmei 6 (1786) introduction~))

And “parents of flowers” are “rain” and ” dew “.

It is said that the word was born from the fact that they moisturizes and grows grass and trees.

Thanks to that, beautiful flowers can bloom.

flower smiles=come into bloom, flower-colored clothes, flower raft=a mass of petals floating on the surface of the water, hanafubuki=cherry blossoms falling in the wind・・・There are many beautiful words about flowers in Japanese.

The tea ceremony practice that I have always been looking forward to has been closed since the beginning of the year due to the declaration of an emergency. I miss the tense but peaceful atmosphere of the tea room. Vaccination has also started in Nagoya. I hope our daily lives will return as soon as possible.
