みなさま、こんにちはスタッフYです。

ご当地贔屓になるのですが、このところ愛知県出身の若者の活躍のニュースが多いなと少し誇らしく思っております。全国より多めに嬉しいニュースを見れるのも嬉しいかぎりでして…と、贔屓話をのっけから申し訳ございません。

そんな彼らですが、幼少期からの活躍もよく地方では取り上げれており、子どもの頃から成長し、全国そして世界に活躍している姿を見ますと、お母さんのような気持になって常々応援しております。それも応援したくなる要素なのですが、もうすっかり闘う舞台は愛知ではないなと、今は遠い所に送り出した我が子に勝手にエールを送っている次第であります。

先日は、瀬戸市出身の将棋の藤井聡太三冠（１９）王位、叡王、棋聖が、一宮市出身の豊島将之竜王（３１）に挑戦する第３４期竜王戦７番勝負の第４局が１２、１３の両日、山口県宇部市で指され、後手の藤井三冠が１２２手で勝ち、４連勝でタイトルを奪取し四冠達成。はたまたフィギアスケートの宇野昌磨君選手が、自己ベストを更新する得点をマークし3年ぶり2回目の優勝。他にも名古屋市出身の河辺愛菜選手。松生理乃選手の活躍、東海市出身の木原龍一選手と三浦璃来選手の三位入賞。そして、オリンピック時期ですと、出場した大勢の愛知県出身や愛知県ゆかりの選手の連日の活躍を地方局やメディアがこぞって応援。

わたくしは他地方をまあまあ巡って暮らしておりましたので、ここ愛知県の芸事やスポーツ事情が充実していることに、ここ名古屋に暮らしていてとても実感いたしますが、とにもかくにも施設が充実していること、全国はたまた世界に通用する指導やレッスンを仰げるお師匠さんや師がすぐにいらっしゃる環境にあること、そしてそれを支える理解ある家族のいる環境、すべてが揃っているのは愛知県だとスタッフY実感調べにて勝手にだしております笑。

それゆえに、知り合いの知り合いぐらいをたどれば、有名な選手の知っている方は結構多いような感覚でして、時代も地方も違いはしますが、「こんな世界観があったのか！」と、田舎者育ちのわたくしには、感動しかありませんでした。

そんな名古屋、昔から「芸どころ名古屋」などと枕詞を耳にすることも多いのですが、現在の若者たちの活躍と「芸どころ名古屋」の因果関係はあるのか。またとっ散らかった好奇心が湧いてまいりました。

もともと、名古屋は織田信長、豊臣秀吉、徳川家康を排出した土地でして、江戸時代においてその頂点にあったのは、いうまでもなく徳川将軍家であり、徳川御三家。その御三家筆頭である尾張徳川家初代の義直は、関ヶ原合戦のあった慶長5年（1600）家康の第九子として側室お亀の方との間に生まれます。

その母お亀の方の菩提寺である相応寺が古美術風光舎名古屋店のご近所にございますことは、いつかのブログにてご紹介いたしましたね。

御三家筆頭である尾張徳川家初代の義直は、慶長12年には8歳にして尾張に封じられますが、それが尾張藩の始まりでありました。初代義直は学問を好み、儒教に傾倒し、文治政策を推し進めます。その後、尾張藩は美濃と信濃の一部も加封されて、元和5年（1619）には総石高61万9450石といわれ、家格もあがります。

その後、七代藩主宗春は幕府の緊縮財政に対し積極的な自由放任政策をとり、よって結果名古屋の城下は栄え大都市と発展していきます。このような経済発展は幕府との確執を生むもとにもなりましたが、それと同時に華道、茶道、俳諧といった芸事を盛んにし、また他国から多くの役者が城下に集まるもととなり、今日名古屋が”芸どころ”といわれる基礎をつくりあげていったのでしょう。

その流れを汲んでいるのでしょうか、現在も名古屋出身の方は他県の私が思うに数多くの習い事をやっているような気が致します。それ故に素晴らしい選手や文化人がたくさん生まれる要因になっているのは当然の流れなのでしょうね。

「芸どころ名古屋」。先日のブログで述べた歴史的建造物や文化財などの保存、はたまた地方の有名なお祭りなどの無形文化財などの伝承もそうでしょうが、「芸どころ名古屋」のようなそのスピリットも、それら同様に受け継がれているものの一つでもあるのではと、ふとそんなことを思ったりも致しました。

神社好きスタッフｍは、先日『津島神社』に行って参りました。

津島神社は、愛知県津島市にあり除疫、授福の神である牛頭天王信仰の中心社で、かつては「津島牛頭天王社（つしまごずてんのうしゃ）」と称されていました。

540年、欽明（きんめい）天皇元年の鎮座と伝えられており、1470余年もの歴史を誇ります。

御祭神は建速須佐之男命（たけはやすさのおのみこと）。

御相殿には建速須佐之男命の御子・大穴牟遅命（おおなむちのみこと）がお祀りされています。

京都の八坂神社と並ぶ天王社として崇められ、全国に3000以上点在する津島神社の総本社でもあります。

「尾張津島天王祭」という大祭でも有名で、日本三大川祭りの一つに数えられます。

尾張の夏の夜の風物詩となるこちらの御祭は、天王川にまきわら船が浮かぶのですが、そこにはおびただしい数の提灯が灯され、灯と水の織り成す幻想的な情景は時代絵巻そのものです。

そんな素敵な津島神社で先日は、11月の風物詩である「菊花展」を開催されていました。

偶然でしたが、せっかくなので拝見させていただきました。

菊と一言でいっても種類がたくさんありまして、思わず見入ってしまいました。

オードックスなものから、花火のようなもの、花びらが反っているものなど、本当に様々です。

愛知県は菊の生産量が全国１位ですが、その県で行われる菊花展ですのでそれはそれは圧巻です。

１１月２３日まで開催されているようですので、ご興味がある方はぜひいかれてくださいませ。

皆さま、こんにちは。

近年コロナの影響で家に居ることが多くなり、ペットを飼う人が増えたようですね。

ペットショップに行けば、猫や犬がいますが値段を見てみると需要が高まっているからか数年前より高くなっていると思います。もしかして、こちらのブログを見ている方の中にもペットを飼い、家族が増えたという方もいらっしゃるかもしれません。

その一方で、動物愛護団体などの方々はそれを危惧していますね。勢いで飼って、お世話の仕方を知らなかったり、飼育を放棄してしまうのではないかと…。

実はわたしも犬を飼っています。本当に可愛いです。友人には愛犬を可愛がることばかり考えてるよね？と言われてしまったこともあります。財布の中にお金が入っていると、犬のおやつを買って帰ってきてしまいます。もう１１歳になりますが、今も昔も変わらず愛くるしいです。ですが長生きしてほしいので、おやつはあげても指定の体重を越えないようにしています。可愛くおねだりされるとあげたくなるのですが、そこは我慢…。

わたしはペットを飼って後悔をしたことはありません。日常の中で彼らのためにしなければいけないことは増えますが、それ以上の癒しをくれます。

皆さまの中にも何かペット飼っている方はいらっしゃいますか？

ペットを飼っている方々はそのペットを家族とみなしますよね。ある人にとっては兄、姉であり、ある人にとっては弟、妹、人によっては妻、子供だとおっしゃるかもしれません。どちらにしろ愛される存在ですね。

きっと何かペットを飼うときに、その「何」かをとても迷われると思います。犬なのか、猫なのか、またはもっと違う生き物なのか…。

現代では様々な動物を個人で飼育ができるようになってきていますね。

え！この生き物個人で飼えるの！？と思うものまでいます。

今日はそんな生き物を少し紹介しますね。

まず一つ目は、クジャクです。

驚きますよね。確かに鳥をペットとして飼う人は多いと思います。ある意味クジャクもその中に入るというような感じだと思います。日本国内のショップで購入して飼育する分には許可や手続きなどは必要ないようです。

二つ目は、ワラビーです。

ワラビーとは？となっている方もいますよね。

ワラビーとは小型のカンガルーで動物園などで見ることが出来ます。

ペットとして実際に飼っている人もいるようです。

三つ目は、アルパカです。

そうです、あのクリクリの目に長いまつげふわふわもこもこに包まれたあの生き物です。

サイズもかなり大きいですよね…。

日本では唯一生産、販売を行っている牧場があるようで、ペットとして飼育することが出来るようです。また、草食動物のため一匹ではなく多頭飼いする方が良いそうで、飼育はかなり大変になりますね。

日本でペットとして飼える動物を三つ紹介しましたが、もちろん犬や猫に比べると飼育が大変で、多頭飼いするのが望ましいものや、広大な土地が必要であったり、餌代だけで月に十万円ほど必要な動物もいます。このように大変なので、ペットとして個人で飼育している方は少ないですが、ある意味覚悟して購入する方が多いと思うのでそこはいいなと思いました。

みなさま、こんにちはスタッフYです。

先日からこのニュースを聞いてうずうずしているのですが、昭和２４年に焼損し、現在、国の重要文化財に指定されている法隆寺の金堂壁画が、１０日から２７年ぶりに公開されるというニュースが。

奈良県斑鳩町にある法隆寺の金堂壁画は、飛鳥時代に描かれたとされる古代の仏教絵画の傑作であることは、皆さま歴史の教科書でご存知がと思いますが、残念なことに昭和２４年の火災で焼損したことは有名な事件。現在も国の重要文化財に指定されていますが、平成６年の一般公開を最後に、原則非公開とされてきました。

こうした中、法隆寺は文化財を守る大切さを知ってもらおうと、６年前に委員会を立ち上げて一般公開に向けた準備を進めております。今回の公開は、法隆寺の文化財保護のためのクラウドファンディングにて寄付をした計500人が対象でして、一日の見学者の数を事前に申し込んだ５０人に限定し、あわせて１０日間公開することになったとこのと。

よって、私は見に行くことはできませんが行かれる方、羨ましい限りです。

公開される１２枚の壁画は、高さが３.１メートル、幅が１.５メートル～２.６メートルで、如来や菩薩などが描かれております。焼損してなお、法隆寺金堂壁画は国の重要文化財に指定されており、仮に焼損がなければ、国宝でまた、その上に位置するものだと研究者の多くが考えているくらいですから、その文化的価値はいかほどのものか。

そのスゴさ、まずは巨大壁画であることです。金堂外陣を飾る全12面のうち4面の大壁は幅約2.6ｍ、高さは約3.1ｍあり、日本の絵画のなかでも最大級のもののひとつ（小壁8面は幅約1.5ｍ、高さは同じ）。そして、仏様の姿が超絶に大きいようで、等身大の仏の姿は他に類を見ません。

時代も飛鳥時代と古く、世界に類例が残っていない歴史的価値が高いとのこと。それは、日本が当時手本とした中国、唐の都の長安にあったような最高の仏画の写しではないかと考えられているようです。同じような作品は大陸には残ってはいませんし、敦煌莫高窟（とんこうばっこうくつ）の壁画ともつながりはありますが、敦煌は中国のなかでは地方都市ですし大都会の中心ではありません。金堂壁画こそが最先端の都の、仏画の直系という可能性があるということのようです。

また、金堂は古来、法隆寺の僧侶でさえも特別な法要のとき以外は立ち入ることが許されない聖域とされてきたようでして、壁画の存在が一般に知られるのも江戸時代になってから。修理のための浄財を募るご開帳が初の公開だったといわれておりますので、火災によって鮮やかな「極彩色」は失われてしまいましたが、火災以前は色彩もあせることなく残っていたことでしょう。

焼け残った輪郭から、かつての様子がうかがえますが、焼失してしまったものの、それでもお目にかかりたいと思わせることさえも、この法隆寺金堂壁画を引き付けて止まない所以なのでしょうね。

話は変わりますが、その火災について当時ロンドン・タイムスの東京支局長であったフランク・ホーレー氏は、こう語っております。「法隆寺は外国人にとっても非常に興味を持たれ、こんどの戦争中もフランスではパリ大学のオーボァイエという若い婦人が“金堂の研究”を発表し、アメリカでも最近ワシントン博物館のアッカー氏が、日本での金堂研究を翻訳して出版したところ、大変売れ行きが良かったというほどで、こうした人たちが法隆寺が焼けてしまったと聞いたらどんなに悲しむことか。日本人はこうした“貴重なもの”の取扱いが全く下手でデタラメだ。」と。

ですが、火災によって国内でもやはり「先人たちが残した文化財を火災から守ろう」という世論が高まります。昭和２５年に文化財保護法が制定され、昭和３０年からは、１月２６日を「文化財防火デー」とし、文化財の防火設備の点検と整備を行うとともに、消防演習などを実施して文化財を火災から守る運動を展開することとなっております。やっと、文化財保護の意識が芽生えたのがこの時代なのでしょうね。

残念なことに、昔の生活は火災との戦いであり過去の文化財や建造物は大概、落雷、火災、戦火はたまた放火による焼失により、それらはほとんど残らず、歴史や文化財や建立物について触れるたびに残念と思うことは度々。

最近のニュースですと、先だっての首里城の火災や、少し前ですとフランスのノートルダム寺院の火災などは記憶に新しいかと思いますが、私はかなりショックを受けました。火災によって、これまで幾百年千年の年月、悪環境や風雪にも耐え生き残ってきたものが、一瞬にして火に包まれ消えていくのだという悲しい映像に、言葉をなくしていまいました。

Although it is still designated as a national important cultural property, it has been closed to the public in principle since it was opened to the public in 1994.

Under these circumstances, Horyuji Temple set up a committee six years ago to raise awareness of the importance of protecting cultural properties, and is preparing for the public opening. 先日、都内へ行って参りました。それについてはまた述べると致しまして、いつも上京した際にはどこか美術、建築、最新スポットをパトロールしておりますわたくしですが、先日も上野界隈の美術館を巡ろうとふらっと上野に降り立ったのは良いのですが、月曜日であることに気づくという失態を犯してしまいました。

月曜日は、美術館好きにとっては、がっかりする曜日でして。はい、どこも閉館日でございます。

そんなわけで、がっかりしながら上野の森を引き返していいたところに「上野東照宮」の入り口に差し掛かりました。せっかく来たのだし一度も立ち寄ったことはないので、立ち寄ってみようかな。と、ふらりと訪れたのですが、またしてもノープランが功を奏しました。

本日は、黄金のパワーを堪能していただくべく、お写真を多めに掲載しておりますよ。

『上野東照宮』

こちらの上野東照宮、今の今まで実は知りませんで。入り口は上野の森の名ストリートから外れるからだったせいか、東博へ向かうことにいつも気がとられていたせいか、全く気付かず。

上野東照宮は、大河ドラマ『青天を衝け』にて前将軍・徳川慶喜が、江戸城を出て上野の寛永寺に閉居いたしておりましたが、その寛永寺のお隣に。その言われは時間の都合上割愛致しますが、東照宮が東照大権現、すなわち徳川家康を祀る神社であることはみなさま周知のことと思われます。そんな東照宮、日光や久能山のものが有名ではあるのですが、上野にも東照宮があることすら知らずにおりました。

家康らが帰依した天海僧正が寛永寺を開山した際、境内には多くの伽藍や子院が建てられましたが、上野東照宮もそのひとつとして、寛永4（1627）年に東照社として創建され、正保3（1646）年に朝廷から「宮」号を授かって東照宮となります。その5年後の慶安4（1651）年、三代将軍家光が、日光まで参拝に行けない江戸の住人のために日光に準じる豪華な社殿を、という趣旨で造営替えをしたといわれ、その社殿がいまも残っております。小さな、日光東照宮といったところでしょうか。しかし、全てが本格的な素晴らしい造りそして、黄金の輝きは間違いありません東照宮です。

上野東照宮といえば、勝負事や試験んなどでお参りする方が多いようですが、なんと関東大震災でも倒壊せず、太平洋戦争では社殿の裏に爆弾が投下されたものの、不発弾だったため被害を受けなかったという、まさに奇跡の賜物。不負不滅のパワーが宿っているようですね。故に、江戸初期の権現造りの粋が上野の地にそのまま残っており、江戸に居ながら江戸の最高峰の建築も堪能できます。といいつつも、わたくし始めての訪問なのですが、ひとたび足を踏み入れた途端、やはり江戸の佇まいがそのまま残っており、日光にいかなくてもこちらも素晴らしくよいではないかと思ったりもいたしました。

社殿はもちろんのこと、唐門、透かし塀、銅灯篭、それに鳥居も、すべて重要文化財に指定されおり、少しだけ国宝、重文マニアの私がなぜ今の今まで訪れたことがなかったのか。

表参道を歩いていきますと、突き当たりに見えてくるきらびやかな門が。「唐門（からもん）」（1651年造営、国指定重要文化財）に辿り着きます。正式名称は「唐破風造り四脚門（からはふづくりよつあしもん）」。左右の柱には、江戸の名工・左甚五郎作といわれる龍の彫刻があしらわれているのですが、徐々に近づいてみましょう。

偉い人ほど頭を垂れることから、向かって右にある頭を下に向けた龍が昇り龍のようです。彫刻が生き生きとしているので、夜になると不忍池に水を飲みに行くという伝説もあるようです。

細工が細かいですので、じっくり鑑賞いたしました。

さて、こちらの上野東照宮、500円にて内覧も可能です。せっかく来たのですから500円奮発致しましたよ。

500円奮発して大正解。中には丁度誰もおらず、この黄金の拝殿を独り占めではないか。

左脇から社殿に入ると、目の前に拝殿、幣殿、本殿が。その豪華さにまず目が奪われます。こちらは、権現造りで、「金色殿」と称されたといわれるだけのことはあり、お天気も良かったことも相まってかなり眩しいです。この輝かしい色彩は、2013年に終えられた修復によって蘇ったのですが、見ごろである全体が金色はもちろんのこと、軒下には極彩色の彫刻がほどこされており、その一つ一つが日光の東照宮に負けず劣らず豪華。調和がとれ、キンキラだというのに品位が保たれているのですから、これは風格と威厳と荘厳さと…言い尽くでないですね。

張り巡らされた塀も、重要文化財。菱格子の向こう側が透けて見えるため透塀と呼ばれ、ひとつひとつにちがった動物や鳥などが細かく彫られており、ひとつひとつチェックいたしました。楽しい。

That’s why I came to the entrance of “Ueno Toshogu” when I was disappointed when I was turning back in the Ueno Forest. I’ve come all the way, and I’ve never stopped by, so I think I should stop by. I visited there, but the no plan was successful again.

“Ueno Toshogu”

I don’t really know about Ueno Toshogu here until now. I didn’t notice at all, probably because the entrance was off the famous street of Ueno no Mori, or because I was always aware of going to Tokyo National Museum.

In Ueno Toshogu, former general Yoshinobu Tokugawa left Edo Castle and closed at Kaneiji Temple in Ueno in the taiga drama “Reach Beyond the Blue Sky”, but next to that Kaneiji Temple. I will omit that statement due to time constraints, but it is well known that Toshogu is a shrine dedicated to Tosho Daigongen, that is, Ieyasu Tokugawa. Such Toshogu, Nikko and Kunozan are famous, but I didn’t even know that there was Toshogu in Ueno.

When the Tenkai monk, who was devoted to Ieyasu and others, opened Kanei-ji Temple, many temples and children’s temples were built in the precincts. Then, in 1646, he received the “Miya” issue from the imperial court and became Toshogu. Five years later, in 1651, the third shogun Iemitsu is said to have rebuilt a luxurious shrine that conforms to Nikko for the residents of Edo who cannot go to Nikko. It still remains. Is it a small place like Nikko Toshogu? However, everything is a genuine and wonderful structure, and there is no doubt that the golden brilliance is Toshogu.

Speaking of Ueno Toshogu, it seems that many people visit for games and tests, but it did not collapse even in the Great Kanto Earthquake, and although a bomb was dropped behind the shrine in the Pacific War, it was not damaged because it was an unexploded ordnance. That is exactly the gift of a miracle. It seems that it has immortal power. Therefore, the essence of Gongen-zukuri in the early Edo period remains in Ueno, and you can enjoy the highest peak architecture of Edo while staying in Edo. That said, it was my first visit, but once I stepped in, the appearance of Edo still remained, and I thought it would be great even if I didn’t go to Nikko. ..

Not only the shrine, but also the Karamon, the open-air fence, the copper lantern, and the torii are all designated as important cultural properties, so why did I, a national treasure and an important cultural property, never visit?

As you walk along Omotesando, you will see a glittering gate at the end. You will arrive at “Karamon” (built in 1651, a nationally designated important cultural property). The official name is “Karahafu Shikyakumon”. The left and right pillars are decorated with dragon sculptures, which are said to be made by Hidari Jingoro, a master craftsman of Edo, but let’s gradually approach them.

The greater the person, the more his head hangs down, so the dragon with his head on the right is like a rising dragon. There is a legend that the sculptures are so lively that they go to Shinobazu Pond for water at night.
