先日からこのニュースを聞いてうずうずしているのですが、昭和２４年に焼損し、現在、国の重要文化財に指定されている法隆寺の金堂壁画が、１０日から２７年ぶりに公開されるというニュースが。

奈良県斑鳩町にある法隆寺の金堂壁画は、飛鳥時代に描かれたとされる古代の仏教絵画の傑作であることは、皆さま歴史の教科書でご存知がと思いますが、残念なことに昭和２４年の火災で焼損したことは有名な事件。現在も国の重要文化財に指定されていますが、平成６年の一般公開を最後に、原則非公開とされてきました。

こうした中、法隆寺は文化財を守る大切さを知ってもらおうと、６年前に委員会を立ち上げて一般公開に向けた準備を進めております。今回の公開は、法隆寺の文化財保護のためのクラウドファンディングにて寄付をした計500人が対象でして、一日の見学者の数を事前に申し込んだ５０人に限定し、あわせて１０日間公開することになったとこのと。

よって、私は見に行くことはできませんが行かれる方、羨ましい限りです。

公開される１２枚の壁画は、高さが３.１メートル、幅が１.５メートル～２.６メートルで、如来や菩薩などが描かれております。焼損してなお、法隆寺金堂壁画は国の重要文化財に指定されており、仮に焼損がなければ、国宝でまた、その上に位置するものだと研究者の多くが考えているくらいですから、その文化的価値はいかほどのものか。

そのスゴさ、まずは巨大壁画であることです。金堂外陣を飾る全12面のうち4面の大壁は幅約2.6ｍ、高さは約3.1ｍあり、日本の絵画のなかでも最大級のもののひとつ（小壁8面は幅約1.5ｍ、高さは同じ）。そして、仏様の姿が超絶に大きいようで、等身大の仏の姿は他に類を見ません。

時代も飛鳥時代と古く、世界に類例が残っていない歴史的価値が高いとのこと。それは、日本が当時手本とした中国、唐の都の長安にあったような最高の仏画の写しではないかと考えられているようです。同じような作品は大陸には残ってはいませんし、敦煌莫高窟（とんこうばっこうくつ）の壁画ともつながりはありますが、敦煌は中国のなかでは地方都市ですし大都会の中心ではありません。金堂壁画こそが最先端の都の、仏画の直系という可能性があるということのようです。

また、金堂は古来、法隆寺の僧侶でさえも特別な法要のとき以外は立ち入ることが許されない聖域とされてきたようでして、壁画の存在が一般に知られるのも江戸時代になってから。修理のための浄財を募るご開帳が初の公開だったといわれておりますので、火災によって鮮やかな「極彩色」は失われてしまいましたが、火災以前は色彩もあせることなく残っていたことでしょう。

焼け残った輪郭から、かつての様子がうかがえますが、焼失してしまったものの、それでもお目にかかりたいと思わせることさえも、この法隆寺金堂壁画を引き付けて止まない所以なのでしょうね。

話は変わりますが、その火災について当時ロンドン・タイムスの東京支局長であったフランク・ホーレー氏は、こう語っております。「法隆寺は外国人にとっても非常に興味を持たれ、こんどの戦争中もフランスではパリ大学のオーボァイエという若い婦人が“金堂の研究”を発表し、アメリカでも最近ワシントン博物館のアッカー氏が、日本での金堂研究を翻訳して出版したところ、大変売れ行きが良かったというほどで、こうした人たちが法隆寺が焼けてしまったと聞いたらどんなに悲しむことか。日本人はこうした“貴重なもの”の取扱いが全く下手でデタラメだ。」と。

ですが、火災によって国内でもやはり「先人たちが残した文化財を火災から守ろう」という世論が高まります。昭和２５年に文化財保護法が制定され、昭和３０年からは、１月２６日を「文化財防火デー」とし、文化財の防火設備の点検と整備を行うとともに、消防演習などを実施して文化財を火災から守る運動を展開することとなっております。やっと、文化財保護の意識が芽生えたのがこの時代なのでしょうね。

残念なことに、昔の生活は火災との戦いであり過去の文化財や建造物は大概、落雷、火災、戦火はたまた放火による焼失により、それらはほとんど残らず、歴史や文化財や建立物について触れるたびに残念と思うことは度々。

最近のニュースですと、先だっての首里城の火災や、少し前ですとフランスのノートルダム寺院の火災などは記憶に新しいかと思いますが、私はかなりショックを受けました。火災によって、これまで幾百年千年の年月、悪環境や風雪にも耐え生き残ってきたものが、一瞬にして火に包まれ消えていくのだという悲しい映像に、言葉をなくしていまいました。

それ故に、悔しくも一部だけ残っている仏像や、建物の一部だけ当時の様子を残す様子などを拝見いたしますと、奇跡的にのこっている建造物や仏像などの文化財などが、尚の事たくましくも愛おしくも感じ、そこが私にとって、歴史的建造物や文化財を引き付けるきっかけであるかもしれません。

どんな形でも生き残りづけるものの象徴のような法隆寺の金堂壁画の公開。もうそれらの失った年月を取り返すことはできませんが、今後どのような形であっても残り続けてほしく、また残さねばと歴史ファンのみならず、今、歴史の先頭に立っている自分たちが再認識するきっかけであったような気が致します。

とすると、弊店の古美術たちも当時の時代をどこかですり抜けて生き残ってなかなかたくましいメンバーではありますね笑。

It is said that the opening of the book to solicit purification goods for repairs was the first public release, so although the vivid “extreme color” was lost due to the fire, it must have remained without fading.

先日、都内へ行って参りました。それについてはまた述べると致しまして、いつも上京した際にはどこか美術、建築、最新スポットをパトロールしておりますわたくしですが、先日も上野界隈の美術館を巡ろうとふらっと上野に降り立ったのは良いのですが、月曜日であることに気づくという失態を犯してしまいました。

月曜日は、美術館好きにとっては、がっかりする曜日でして。はい、どこも閉館日でございます。

そんなわけで、がっかりしながら上野の森を引き返していいたところに「上野東照宮」の入り口に差し掛かりました。せっかく来たのだし一度も立ち寄ったことはないので、立ち寄ってみようかな。と、ふらりと訪れたのですが、またしてもノープランが功を奏しました。

本日は、黄金のパワーを堪能していただくべく、お写真を多めに掲載しておりますよ。

『上野東照宮』

こちらの上野東照宮、今の今まで実は知りませんで。入り口は上野の森の名ストリートから外れるからだったせいか、東博へ向かうことにいつも気がとられていたせいか、全く気付かず。

上野東照宮は、大河ドラマ『青天を衝け』にて前将軍・徳川慶喜が、江戸城を出て上野の寛永寺に閉居いたしておりましたが、その寛永寺のお隣に。その言われは時間の都合上割愛致しますが、東照宮が東照大権現、すなわち徳川家康を祀る神社であることはみなさま周知のことと思われます。そんな東照宮、日光や久能山のものが有名ではあるのですが、上野にも東照宮があることすら知らずにおりました。

家康らが帰依した天海僧正が寛永寺を開山した際、境内には多くの伽藍や子院が建てられましたが、上野東照宮もそのひとつとして、寛永4（1627）年に東照社として創建され、正保3（1646）年に朝廷から「宮」号を授かって東照宮となります。その5年後の慶安4（1651）年、三代将軍家光が、日光まで参拝に行けない江戸の住人のために日光に準じる豪華な社殿を、という趣旨で造営替えをしたといわれ、その社殿がいまも残っております。小さな、日光東照宮といったところでしょうか。しかし、全てが本格的な素晴らしい造りそして、黄金の輝きは間違いありません東照宮です。

上野東照宮といえば、勝負事や試験んなどでお参りする方が多いようですが、なんと関東大震災でも倒壊せず、太平洋戦争では社殿の裏に爆弾が投下されたものの、不発弾だったため被害を受けなかったという、まさに奇跡の賜物。不負不滅のパワーが宿っているようですね。故に、江戸初期の権現造りの粋が上野の地にそのまま残っており、江戸に居ながら江戸の最高峰の建築も堪能できます。といいつつも、わたくし始めての訪問なのですが、ひとたび足を踏み入れた途端、やはり江戸の佇まいがそのまま残っており、日光にいかなくてもこちらも素晴らしくよいではないかと思ったりもいたしました。

社殿はもちろんのこと、唐門、透かし塀、銅灯篭、それに鳥居も、すべて重要文化財に指定されおり、少しだけ国宝、重文マニアの私がなぜ今の今まで訪れたことがなかったのか。

表参道を歩いていきますと、突き当たりに見えてくるきらびやかな門が。「唐門（からもん）」（1651年造営、国指定重要文化財）に辿り着きます。正式名称は「唐破風造り四脚門（からはふづくりよつあしもん）」。左右の柱には、江戸の名工・左甚五郎作といわれる龍の彫刻があしらわれているのですが、徐々に近づいてみましょう。

偉い人ほど頭を垂れることから、向かって右にある頭を下に向けた龍が昇り龍のようです。彫刻が生き生きとしているので、夜になると不忍池に水を飲みに行くという伝説もあるようです。

細工が細かいですので、じっくり鑑賞いたしました。

さて、こちらの上野東照宮、500円にて内覧も可能です。せっかく来たのですから500円奮発致しましたよ。

500円奮発して大正解。中には丁度誰もおらず、この黄金の拝殿を独り占めではないか。

左脇から社殿に入ると、目の前に拝殿、幣殿、本殿が。その豪華さにまず目が奪われます。こちらは、権現造りで、「金色殿」と称されたといわれるだけのことはあり、お天気も良かったことも相まってかなり眩しいです。この輝かしい色彩は、2013年に終えられた修復によって蘇ったのですが、見ごろである全体が金色はもちろんのこと、軒下には極彩色の彫刻がほどこされており、その一つ一つが日光の東照宮に負けず劣らず豪華。調和がとれ、キンキラだというのに品位が保たれているのですから、これは風格と威厳と荘厳さと…言い尽くでないですね。

張り巡らされた塀も、重要文化財。菱格子の向こう側が透けて見えるため透塀と呼ばれ、ひとつひとつにちがった動物や鳥などが細かく彫られており、ひとつひとつチェックいたしました。楽しい。

That’s why I came to the entrance of “Ueno Toshogu” when I was disappointed when I was turning back in the Ueno Forest. I’ve come all the way, and I’ve never stopped by, so I think I should stop by. I visited there, but the no plan was successful again.

“Ueno Toshogu”

I don’t really know about Ueno Toshogu here until now. I didn’t notice at all, probably because the entrance was off the famous street of Ueno no Mori, or because I was always aware of going to Tokyo National Museum.

In Ueno Toshogu, former general Yoshinobu Tokugawa left Edo Castle and closed at Kaneiji Temple in Ueno in the taiga drama “Reach Beyond the Blue Sky”, but next to that Kaneiji Temple. I will omit that statement due to time constraints, but it is well known that Toshogu is a shrine dedicated to Tosho Daigongen, that is, Ieyasu Tokugawa. Such Toshogu, Nikko and Kunozan are famous, but I didn’t even know that there was Toshogu in Ueno.

When the Tenkai monk, who was devoted to Ieyasu and others, opened Kanei-ji Temple, many temples and children’s temples were built in the precincts. Then, in 1646, he received the “Miya” issue from the imperial court and became Toshogu. Five years later, in 1651, the third shogun Iemitsu is said to have rebuilt a luxurious shrine that conforms to Nikko for the residents of Edo who cannot go to Nikko. It still remains. Is it a small place like Nikko Toshogu? However, everything is a genuine and wonderful structure, and there is no doubt that the golden brilliance is Toshogu.

Speaking of Ueno Toshogu, it seems that many people visit for games and tests, but it did not collapse even in the Great Kanto Earthquake, and although a bomb was dropped behind the shrine in the Pacific War, it was not damaged because it was an unexploded ordnance. That is exactly the gift of a miracle. It seems that it has immortal power. Therefore, the essence of Gongen-zukuri in the early Edo period remains in Ueno, and you can enjoy the highest peak architecture of Edo while staying in Edo. That said, it was my first visit, but once I stepped in, the appearance of Edo still remained, and I thought it would be great even if I didn’t go to Nikko. ..

Not only the shrine, but also the Karamon, the open-air fence, the copper lantern, and the torii are all designated as important cultural properties, so why did I, a national treasure and an important cultural property, never visit?

As you walk along Omotesando, you will see a glittering gate at the end. You will arrive at “Karamon” (built in 1651, a nationally designated important cultural property). The official name is “Karahafu Shikyakumon”. The left and right pillars are decorated with dragon sculptures, which are said to be made by Hidari Jingoro, a master craftsman of Edo, but let’s gradually approach them.

The greater the person, the more his head hangs down, so the dragon with his head on the right is like a rising dragon. There is a legend that the sculptures are so lively that they go to Shinobazu Pond for water at night.

みなさま、こんにちは。

最近、着物を着るようになって日本古来の模様にとても興味を持っているスタッフｍです。

着物の勉強を我流でやり始めたばかりなので、そこは興味のあることしか頭に入ってこないのでありますが…。

先日、我が家の食卓で「市松文様とは」という話になりました。

息子がテレビを見ながら、「このチェック模様ってかっこいいよね。」というようなことを言っていたので

「それって市松文様って言って、日本古来の模様なんだよ。」と私が申しますと、

「え、これ、日本に昔からある模様なんだ？！」と驚いていました。

そこで、一世を風靡したアニメ『鬼滅の刃』の主人公、竈門炭治郎が来ている羽織の模様が、緑と黒の正方形を互い違いに並べたチェック模様の市松模様であるこったことを思い出させると、「確かにね！」と納得の様子。

でも、なぜ市松模様というのかは知らなかったので、さっそく調べてみました。

すると、それまでは「石畳」もしくは「霰（あられ）」と呼ばれていましたが、江戸時代に佐野市松という歌舞伎役者がこの柄の袴を身に着けていたため「市松模様」と呼ばれるようになったようです。

なるほど！

チェック柄に自分の名前がついてしまうとは、イギリスのタータンチェックのようでかっこいいですね。（ちょっと違いますかね…。）(笑)

なぜ、模様の話題を出したのかというと、今日インスタグラム用に写真撮影していた金工作品の『銀宝箱』がとても素敵だったからなんです。

こちらの宝箱、手のひらにすっぽり収まるサイズのものですが、観音開きの扉を開けると、中から小さな引き出しが出てきます。

３段ある引き出しの模様がすべて違う模様で描かれていて、その細工の細かさにただただうっとりしてしまうんです。

それが、こちら。

三段の引き出しの一番上は「市松文様」です。

同じ柄がどこまでも途切れることなく続く様子から「子孫繁栄」「事業拡大」の意味があるそうです。

この引き出しの内側には緑のベルベットが丁寧に敷かれていて、大切な指輪などのジュエリーをしまっていたのかしら、と想像してしまいます。

真ん中の段は「青海波（せいがいは）文様」です。

穏やかな波を描いた模様で、どこまでも続く波模様には「未来永劫穏やかに暮らしていけるように」という願いが込められていて、結婚祝いにもつかわれるそうです。

この模様、以前飛騨高山に旅行したときに、陣屋のお庭でも目にしました。

その時は母と一緒だったのですが、母が「青海波砂紋だね。」と言っていて、私はその時初めてその模様の名前を知りました。

庭に池や水の代わりに砂や小石を敷き、その表面の砂にほうきなどで波などの模様を描いたもので、枯山水と呼ばれる庭園で使われる技法のようです。

一番下は「鹿の子文様」でしょうか。

鹿の子とはその名の通り、小鹿の背中のまだら模様に似ていることに由来します。

鹿は神の使いとも言われ、縁起の良い動物であり、また生命力や繁殖力に優れることから「子孫繁栄」の象徴として用いられています。

また、絞り染めでは、生地を少しだけつまんで糸を縛り、染料につけて糸をほどくという大変手間のかかる技法で作られる文様のため、総鹿の子絞りの着物は贅沢品とされていました。

そして、扉の裏には桜の花が描かれています。

桜文様は、寒い冬を越え、春の訪れを告げる花であることから「物事の始まり」を意味する模様です。

It is a pattern that depicts a gentle wave, and the wave pattern that continues forever contains a wish to “live calmly in the future”, and it is said that it is also used as a wedding gift.

I saw this pattern in the garden of Jinya when I traveled to Hida Takayama before.

I was with my mother at that time, but her mother said, “It’s a Qinghai wave sand crest.” I knew the name of the pattern for the first time.

Instead of ponds and water, sand and pebbles are laid in the garden, and patterns such as waves are drawn on the sand on the surface with a broom, which seems to be a technique used in the garden called dry landscape garden.

As the name suggests, Kanoko is derived from the fact that it resembles a mottled pattern on the back of a fawn.

The deer is also said to be a messenger of the gods, is an auspicious animal, and is used as a symbol of “prosperity of offspring” because of its excellent vitality and fertility.

Also, in tie-dyeing, the kimono of Sokanoko squeezing was regarded as a luxury item because it is a pattern made by a very time-consuming technique of pinching the fabric a little, tying the thread, soaking it in the dye and unwinding the thread.

The cherry blossom pattern seems to mean “the beginning of things” because it is a flower that heralds the arrival of spring after the cold winter.

冷え性には辛い季節がやってきました。

一日に何回外で「寒い」と言っているのか…。

朝起きて、必ず家族に聞くことは「今日どれくらい寒いかな？」です。寒いことに変わりはないのに、なぜか聞いてしまいます。だいたい返答としては、「昨日より寒い」or「昨日よりは寒くない」です。共感してくださる方も多いのではないでしょうか？冬が一番好きだという方に理由を聞いてみたいくらいです…。

夏は部屋を冷房で冷やすととても気持ちがいいですが、冬は暖房で暖めても夏程の快感は得られないと個人的に思っています。冷え性だからでしょうか？

ちなみに冷え性の人はどれくらいの割合でいるのか気になったので調べたのですが、男女全体で６割ほどいるようです。やはり女性の方の方が冷え性だという人は多いようです。

わたしは寒がりなだけなので、夏が来てもさほど他の人よりは暑さを感じにくいのですが、寒がりで暑がりの人は一年の内快適な日が少なくて大変だなと今思いました…。

寒い季節がやってくると、服装も変わりますが食事も変わりませんか？

夏だったらさっぱりした料理…冬になるとぽかぽかする料理になります。

寒い季節、家庭で人気だと思われる鍋料理！

色々なバリエーションがあって凄く楽しめますよね？家庭でも、友人とでも、お店でも楽しめます。

普段は辛いものは食べないのですが、鍋料理になると辛いものも食べたくなってきます。

寒い季節は辛いもので身体を温めるというようなことを聞いたことがある人や言っている人も多いのではないでしょうか？確かに、辛い物を食べると体が熱くなり、寒さも忘れますよね。

辛いものといえば…唐辛子。

ですが、実は唐辛子…冷え性の人には向いていないかもしれません。

調べてみたのですが…

唐辛子に含まれるカプサイシンなどの辛み成分が口の中を刺激（味覚性発汗）することで、体が熱く感じ汗をかきます。ここまで聞くと、え、良いことじゃないの？と思います。

しかし、「汗をかく」ことは体の熱を逃がす放熱手段なのです。

発汗によって体の中の熱が奪われ、体表温度が下がります。結果的には、体温低下になり、唐辛子を食べる前より体が冷えてしまう可能性もあるそうです。

運動をした後は汗をかきますが、それをそのまま放置しないでくださいとよく学校の先生に言われていた気がします。そのまま放置すると、体温が下がり風邪になるからだと言われていました。それと同じですね。

ちなみに、カプサイシンなどの辛み成分は口の中を刺激して発汗が起きますが、胃の中に入ってしまえば汗はかかないそうです。皮膚に触れるとヒリヒリしたりするそうです…催涙スプレーなどにもカプサイシンが含まれており、くしゃみや涙が出るようになっていますね。

辛い物が好きな人は多いですよね…

辛い物を食べると発汗して体温が下がりますが、逆にそれが爽快な気分になり癖になることもあるようです。特に暑い地域では辛い物がこのような理由で好まれています。

辛い物は少量だといいけど食べ過ぎは良くないというのは、医学的にも正しいようです。

ですがそれでも食べたくなりますよね…。

辛い鍋を食べると、少しの間だけ暖まりますし、人と囲んで食べると心も暖まります。

皆さま、こんにちは。

二年ほど前から行きたいな行こうと思っていた場所にやっと行けました。

この言い回し…さぞや遠い所だと思いますよね？　いいえ、違います。近場です。

ただ近場ゆえにいつでも行けると思い、放置していただけです。

名古屋市民は一度は訪れたことがあるのではないでしょうか？わたしが行きたいなと思いやっと行けた場所は『名古屋港水族館』です。

愛知県の中でも有名な水族館だと思います。

わたしは小学生の頃に遠足で行ったことがありますが、当時は年パスを持っていて先生から当日券を貰えなかった寂しさを覚えています。

時々行きたくなり行くのですが、ここ数年は行けていなかったので久しぶりに行けて、ものすごく感動してしまいました。

名古屋港水族館は入り口を通ってすぐに大きな水槽があり、水族館のメインと言っても過言ではないイルカやシャチに会うことが出来ます。久しぶりに生で見たのでチケットを通す前に立ち止まってしまいました…。チケットを見せて中に入場すればもっと近くで見られるというのに、あまりの嬉しさで止まってしまいました。

入場して近くで見ても興奮は止まりませんでした。自分とは全く違う形、違う環境で生きている生き物…なんとも不思議です。

シャチかイルカか選べと言われたら、わたしはどちらかといえばイルカ派ですかね…。皆さまはどちら派なのでしょうか？気になります…。

ちなみにわたしは当日、イルカのパフォーマンス、シャチの公開トレーニング、マイワシのトルネード、ダイバーコミュニケーションといったイベントを見ることが出来ました。平日に行ったのですが、多くのパフォーマンスを見ることができて楽しかったです。

水族館は動物園とはまた違った感覚を味わうことが出来ます。動物園に行っても動物の姿を受け入れることが出来るのですが、水族館の動物は理解できないのです。自分とは全く違うからでしょうか？特にペンギンがそうですね。動物園にいるペンギンと水族館に居るペンギンは一緒なのに…なぜか別の生き物に見えてしまいます。わたしだけなのでしょうか？？

そういえば、水族館に行って初めてダイバーコミュニケーション（ダイバーが水槽の中で魚の映像を撮りながら、その魚について説明する）というイベントを見ていたのですが、魚ももちろん人気なのですが、意外とダイバーさんも人気だなと思いました。イベント後は水槽越しにお客さんと写真を撮っていたりしていて面白かったです。

現在、名古屋港水族館はコロナの影響で土日祝日は事前予約が必要であったり、手でヒトデなどを触れるイベントが中止になっていたりしますが、十分楽しめると思いますので、ご興味のある方は無理のない範囲でぜひ行かれてみて下さい。

The Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium has a large aquarium right after the entrance, and you can meet dolphins and orca, which is not an exaggeration to say that it is the main part of the aquarium. I saw it live for the first time in a long time, so I stopped before passing the ticket … I was so happy that I could see it closer if I showed the ticket and entered inside.

みなさま、こんにちは。スタッフｍです。

スタッフYさんの彩リレーを再度引継ぎまして、今日も紅葉情報を…。

先日、奈良県にあります室生寺（むろうじ）に行って参りました。

室生寺は、奈良時代の６８０年に天武天皇の勅命をもって修験道の祖・役小角（えんのおづぬ）が初めて建てたと伝えられています。

また、他の文献によると、桓武天皇が皇太子の時に病に臥し、室生山中での延寿祈祷により回復したそうです。

それが縁で、平安初期の延暦年間（７８２ー８０６）、天皇の勅命により興福寺（法相宗）の高僧・賢環（けんきょう）が弟子の修圓（しゅえん）とともに建てたと伝えられています。

さらに、承和２年（８３５）に真言宗の祖・弘法大師空海が遺言された『御遺告（ごゆいこう）』には、唐（中国）の師・恵果から授かった「如意宝珠（にょいほうじゅ）」という国に平和をもたらし、人々の願いをかなえるインド伝来の珠を、室生寺で修業した賢慧（けんね）に託して、善如龍王の棲む精進峰に大切に納めたと伝えられています。

もともと室生の山は、奈良時代すでに『古事記』『日本書紀』に登場する水を司るオカミ（龗、龍を意味する）の神を祀る聖地（ミムロ）であったと考えられています。

つまり、その龍神の神様にこの如意宝珠を捧げるために弘法大師・空海が室生寺にそれを祀ったようです。

その証拠に、室生寺の元々の名前は「善如龍王寺」といったようですよ。

そんなわけで、室生寺はそれ以降、真言宗の重要な道場の一つとして篤い信仰を集めています。

また、弘法大師空海と言えば、高野山に真言宗の総本山、金剛峯寺を建立したことで知られていますが、その高野山も近年までは「女人結界（女人禁制）」が定められ、境内に女性が入ることはかないませんでした。

そうです。女人は修行者の心を乱すからという理由で、聖域への立ち入りを禁止されていたのです。

そんな時代にあっても女性たちを迎えていた「女人高野」と呼ばれるお寺が四つありました。

その一つがこの室生寺でした。

そんな歴史があった室生寺で、当時の女の人に思いを馳せながら境内を散策してきました。

太鼓橋を渡り、受付を済ませると、立派な寶物殿が目に入ります。

こちらは令和の時代に入ってから、仏像仏具の文化財を永く良好な状態で守り、後世に伝えるために建てられたようです。

こちらでは国宝の釈迦如来坐像や十一面観音菩薩立像など、平安時代に作られた仏様を拝むことができます。

釈迦如来坐像は榧の木の一本造りですが、一本の木からこのようなお釈迦様を彫るとは、仏師の頭の中はどうなっていたのか心底驚きました。

そこにはもちろん日々の鍛錬もありますが、神がかったものも感じずにはいられません。

他にも重要文化財など、一度は社会の便覧で見たことがあるようなすごいものばかりが並んでいました。

そして、仁王門から入り、鎧坂を登ると重要文化財の弥勒堂と国宝の金堂が現われます。

また少し登ると国宝の本堂があり、お坊さんの有難いお話が聞けました。

さらにもう少し登ると国宝の五重塔が目の前に…。

こちらは室生寺最古の建物で、平安時代の初期に建てられたものです。

さらに、そこから４００段近く階段を登ると、最終ゴールの奥之院です。

途中で何度も休憩しながら、１５分近く登りました。

山の頂上にある奥之院から見る景色は素晴らしく、登った甲斐がありました。

また、如意宝珠が祀られているであろう山を有難く拝むこともでき満足して下りてきました。

山の中はそこまで色付いていませんでしたが、室生寺の入り口辺りはモミジやイチョウが色付いていたので、紅葉も楽しむことができました。

室生の地に行き神社仏閣を巡ることが今回の目的でしたが、結果的に彩られた山も見ることができ、行楽の秋にぴったりの小旅行となりました。

「龍隠れの里に眠る秘宝　清流の幻想と命の祈り」Dragon Night Walkというイベントが、１１月２０日から２３日まで行われ、期間中は１７時から１９時までライトアップもされるようです。

Furthermore, in the second year of Jōwa (835), the founder of the Shingon sect, Kobo Daishi Kukai, made a statement in “Goyuiko”, which was given by the teacher of Tang (China), Huiguo. It is said that the pearls from India that bring peace to the country called “Ihoju” and fulfill the wishes of the people were entrusted to Kenne, who trained at Murouji Temple, and carefully delivered to the Shingon peak where Zennyo Ryuo lives. Originally, the mountain of Murou is thought to have been a sacred place (Mimuro) that enshrines the god of the wolf (meaning dragon, dragon) that controls water that appeared in “Kojiki” and “Nihonshoki” in the Nara period.

In other words, it seems that Kobo Daishi Kukai enshrined it at Murouji Temple in order to offer this jewel to the god of the dragon god.

The proof is that the original name of Murouji is “Zennyo Ryuoji”.

That is why Murouji has since been worshiped as one of the important dojos of the Shingon sect.

Koyasan Kukai is known for having built Kongobuji Temple, the head temple of the Shingon sect, on Mt. Koya, but until recently, Mt. Did not enter.

Here you can worship Buddhas made during the Heian period, such as the sitting statue of Shaka Nyorai, a national treasure, and the statue of the Eleven-faced Kannon Bodhisattva.

The sitting statue of Shaka Nyorai is made of a single tree, but I was really surprised at what happened to the Buddha’s head when carving such a Buddha from a single tree.

Of course, there are daily disciplines, but I can’t help but feel the godliness.

If you climb a little further, you will see the five-storied pagoda, a national treasure, in front of you.

This is the oldest building in Murouji, built in the early Heian period.

Furthermore, if you climb the stairs for nearly 400 steps from there, you will reach the final goal, Okunoin.

I climbed for nearly 15 minutes, taking breaks many times along the way.

The view from Okunoin on the top of the mountain was wonderful and it was worth climbing.

Also, I was grateful to be able to worship the mountain where the jewels are enshrined, and I was satisfied with the descent.

The mountains were not so colored, but the maples and ginkgo trees were colored around the entrance of Murouji Temple, so I was able to enjoy the autumn leaves.

The purpose of this trip was to go to the land of Murou and visit the shrines and temples, but as a result, I could see the colorful mountains, and it was a perfect excursion for the autumn of the resort.

皆様こんにちは、スタッフYです。

このところスタッフ間でも美術展などへ訪れた報告が多くなりましたが、皆さまは芸術文化などに触れる機会は復活いたしましたでしょうか。このところ今週末もどこぞの美術館へ行こうと、チェックに余念がなく落ち着かない私であります。

さて、話は変わりますが、先日から「東郷青児」作品を弊店舗ギャラリーにて飾っております。

よって店舗ギャラリーにて一人、贅沢にも東郷作品を鑑賞致しまして、そして贅沢な空間の中お仕事を進めている次第でございますが、

まずは、一緒に鑑賞いたしましょう。

「東郷青児」　油絵　『桃色のジュミーズ』　（33.0㎝✕24.0cm）

東郷青児初期の作品と思われます。

小さな作品ですが、淡い白ですが存在感のあるのフレームの中に、同じく淡い白の女性が薄い桃色のシュミーズを纏い、東郷青児らしい女性のやわらかさ、優しさがぎゅっと詰まったような作品ですね。

東郷作品全盛期に幼少期を過ごした私としては、どこか懐かしくもあり、でもしっかりと脳裏に焼き付いて、私が当時かっこいいなぁと思っていた大人の女性像と東郷作品の女性はどことなくリンク致します。

そうそう、こんなゆるふわパーマのゴージャスな女優さん当時いらっしゃいましたよね。当時流行った化繊のテレテレのサイケな柄のワンピースを着て、つけまつげをつけた強気なメイクをして、新しい時代の女性のやわらかさや強さをみにつけ颯爽と歩いていたような。そんな時代だったなと当時の大人の女性を思い起こしております。昭和世代のみなさんには、とてもエモいのでは。

ところで、この作品とこの作品のイメージを壊さない額縁との全体の印象が、私が気になっておりました。こちらの作品は作品の色に額縁をあえて合わせたのでしょうか。東郷は、後期には版画や彫刻も手掛け、はたまた雑貨のデザインや本の装釘も数多くみられますし、当時から額縁もきっと作品を構成する重要なとしてこだわっていたのでしょうね。すこし、横から撮影もしてみましたが、作品をのぞき込むような深さが、さらに作品を引き付けます。ですが、作品を台無しにすることのない一体感のある淡い白が、空間をあたたかくしてくれます。

Therefore, I am lavishly appreciating Togo’s works alone at the store gallery, and I am working in a luxurious space.

First of all, let’s watch it together.

“Seiji Togo” oil painting “Peach-colored Jummies” (33.0 cm ✕ 24.0 cm)

It seems to be an early work of Seiji Togo.

It’s a small work, but it’s a work in which a pale white woman wears a pale pink chemise in a frame that is pale white but has a strong presence, and the softness and tenderness of a woman like Seiji Togo is tightly packed. Hey.

For me, who spent my childhood in the heyday of Togo’s work, I feel nostalgic, but it firmly burned into my mind, and the image of an adult woman I thought was cool at that time and the woman of Togo’s work are somehow linked. ..

Oh yeah, there was such a gorgeous actress with a loose perm at that time. Wearing a dress with a psychedelic pattern of synthetic fiber tele-tele, which was popular at the time, wearing a bullish make-up with false eyelashes, it seems that she was walking dashingly to see the softness and strength of women of the new era. I remember the adult woman at that time that it was such an era. I think it’s very emo for the Showa generation.

By the way, I was interested in the overall impression of this work and the frame that does not destroy the image of this work. Did this work dare to match the frame with the color of the work? In the latter half of the year, Togo also worked on prints and sculptures, and there were many designs for miscellaneous goods and book bindings, and from that time on, the picture frame must have been an important part of the work. I tried shooting from the side a little, but the depth of looking into the work makes it even more attractive. However, the pale white with a sense of unity that does not ruin the work warms the space.
