一昨日の夜は見事な満月でした。ご覧になった方も多いのではないでしょうか。

風光舎のあるこちら名古屋では、はっきりと満月が見えましたよ。

みなさまのお住いの地域ではいかがでしたでしょうか。

 

夕方６時近くに私は車の運転していたのですが、坂の上に差し掛かると大きな満月が目の前に現れました。

出始めたばかりの月はひときわ大きく、一人で「わー、きれい！」と、ただただ感動しながら運転していました。

 

ここのところ月の光が冴えわたっていますよね。寒くなり、空気が澄んできた証拠ですね。

ところで、この満月にも名前がついているんですって。

初めて知ったのですが、ネイティブアメリカンの間では「ハンターズムーン」と呼ばれるらしいです。

 

ただ、このハンターズムーンは何月になるのか決まっていないらしいですが．．．。

もう一つ、同じようにこの月の満月はこれ、と名前が決まっていない月があるらしいです。

それが「ハーベストムーン」です。

「ハーベストムーン」が「秋分の日に最も近い満月」というルールのようで、年によって９月だったり１０月だったりするみたいです。そして、「ハンターズムーン」は「ハーベストムーンの次の満月」というルールなので、これまた、１０月だったり１１月だったりするようです。

でも、１１月の満月は「ビーバームーン」が広く紹介されているため、「ハンターズムーン」は存在感が薄いまま終わる年もあるようです。(泣）

 

「ハンターズムーン」の名前の由来は、狩りのシーズンだからなんですって。

ネイティブアメリカンたちはその昔、厳しい冬に備えるために、前の月の「ハーベストムーン」では農作物を収穫し、その翌月は狩りで肉を集めていたようです。

 

他にも「ウルフムーン」「ピンクムーン」「ストロベリームーン」「ブルームーン」「スーパームーン」など、日本でも最近ではよく聞く名前の満月も多いです。

ネイティブアメリカンたちが名付けた満月の名前は、人々の生活の営みや自然へのまなざしを感じさせてくれますね。

 

ちなみに、２３時５７分に満ちた満月。私もその時間くらいに明るく光る満月を写真に収めましたので、ここに掲載させていただきます。

虹のような月輪がかかり、とてもきれいな満月を愛でることができました。

How was it in your area?

I was driving a car near 6 pm, but when I approached the top of the hill, a big full moon appeared in front of me.

The moon, which had just begun to appear, was extremely large, and I was just impressed when I was driving alone, saying, “Wow, it’s beautiful!”

 

The moonlight is clear these days, isn’t it? It’s proof that it’s getting colder and the air is clearer.

By the way, this full moon also has a name.

I first learned that it is called “Hunters Moon” among Native Americans.

 

However, it seems that it has not been decided what month this Hunter’s Moon will be. .. .. ..

Similarly, it seems that there is a month whose name has not been decided as this is the full moon of this month.

That is “Harvest Moon”.

It seems that “harvest moon” is the rule that “the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox day”, and it may be September or October depending on the year. And since “Hunters Moon” is a rule of “the next full moon after the harvest moon”, it seems that it is also October or November.

However, since the full moon in November is widely introduced as “Beaver Moon”, it seems that there are some years when “Hunters Moon” ends with a weak presence. (Crying)

 

The name “Hunters Moon” comes from the hunting season.

It seems that Native Americans used to harvest crops in the previous month’s “Harvest Moon” and hunt for meat the following month to prepare for the harsh winter.

 

In addition, there are many full moons with names that are often heard in Japan these days, such as “Wolf Moon,” “Pink Moon,” “Strawberry Moon,” “Blue Moon,” and “Super Moon.”

The name of the full moon, named by Native Americans, makes us feel the way people live and look at nature.

 

By the way, the full moon was full at 23:57. I also took a picture of the full moon that shines brightly around that time, so I will post it here.

I was able to admire the beautiful full moon with a rainbow-like moon ring.
