先日、久しぶりに美術館に行ってきました。

東京の大学に行っている友人が夏休みということで帰ってきていたので、会うついでに愛知県の美術館でやっている展覧会を見ようということになり、一緒に行ってきました。

わたしも夏休みに入っていて久しぶりに外に出るので、ものすごく暑いかも…と心配していましたが、当日は曇りで風もあり、家で引きこもっていたわたしの体にも優しい日でした。

家で常にエアコンの効いた部屋で過ごしていると、久しぶりに外に出るとき少し心配になりませんか？

夏の暑さに耐えられるのかと…。

夏になると暑すぎて外出が億劫になり、展覧会なども行かなくなってしまうことが多いので誘ってくれたり、一緒に行ってくれる友人がいると助かります。

 

 

今回は「今行くならヤマザキマザックかなぁ」と友人が言ったことで新栄町にあるヤマザキマザック美術館に決まりました。

わたしもそこの特別展はチェックしていましたが、まぁいいやと思っていたので、普段なら行かないような展覧会に行けたことは良かったなと思いました。

 

 

「名古屋城からはじまる植物物語」という展覧会で、花鳥画や西洋植物画があったり、シーボルトや伊藤啓介について知ることのできる展覧会でした。写真撮影は禁止だったので会場内の写真はありませんが、展覧会について話していこうと思います。

 

「名古屋城からはじまる」と名前にある通り、展覧会に入ってすぐにあるのは、天井板絵、名古屋城本丸御殿障壁画復元模写でした。そこから進んでいくと、植物の画が多くありました。

その中で記憶に残っているものがあり、それは人の形をした人参です。

昔の物なので、水分も抜けて手のひらより小さいのですが、展示用の透明ケースの中の綿の上に乗っていて、何とも面白い状態でした。植物の絵など真面目なものばかりだと思っていたので、不意をつかれてクスッと笑ってしまいました。

ちなみに、人参は人の形に近いほど効能がすぐれていると言われているそうです。

そこから進むと、家具などもあり、植物の絵しかないと思っていたので嬉しかったです。

その家具もすごく美しいものばかりで、見とれてしまいました。その中に大きな時計があったのですが、それは時刻通り動いていて、耳を澄ますとチクタクと音がしていました。

 

この展覧会では、行く前は植物の絵（図）しかないんだろうなぁ～と思っていたのですが、行ってみると植物の絵（図）だけでなく、人型の人参やアンティークな家具、河童や魚の絵、ランプや大きな壺など色々なモノを見ることが出来ました。

 

また、本草学者である伊藤圭介についてやその師であるシーボルトとの関係性などを知ることができました。

師であるシーボルトは伊藤圭介について「余は圭介氏の師であるとともに、圭介氏は余の師である」と言われたそうです。こんな師がいたら嬉しいですよね。

そして、特に面白かったのは、伊藤圭介の一日の食生活です。そんなことまで書く必要ある！？と思いましたが、それがなかなかに面白かったので書くべきだなと思いました。伊藤圭介はよく食べる人のようです、毎日同じ食事でも文句も言わず食べるそうです。

また、「雄しべ」「雌しべ」「花粉」という言葉を作ったことでも知られているそうで、それを聞くと、すごい人なんだ！と思いますよね。

彼は、名古屋出身で、愛知県名古屋市の平和公園内にも碑が建立されているそうです。

そして、東山動植物園では伊藤圭介記念室というものもあるそうです。展覧会に飾ってあるものも所蔵場所が東山動植物園になっているものがありました。

 

「名古屋城からはじまる植物物語」は、予備知識がなくても予想以上に楽しめました。

会期は8月２９日までで、今月には終わってしまいますが、もしご興味のある方は無理のない範囲で行ってみて下さい。

A friend of mine who went to a university in Tokyo was back because it was summer vacation, so I decided to see an exhibition at a museum in Aichi prefecture, so I went with him.

I was also in the summer vacation and went out for the first time in a long time, so I was worried that it might be extremely hot … but it was cloudy and windy, and it was a day that was kind to my body, who was withdrawn at home.

If you spend your time at home in an air-conditioned room, don’t you worry a little when you go out for the first time in a while?

Can you withstand the heat of summer?

In the summer, it’s too hot to go out, and I often don’t go to exhibitions, so it would be helpful if I had a friend who would invite me or go with me.

 

 

 

This time, my friend said, “If I go now, I wonder if it’s Yamazaki Mazak,” so I decided to go to the Yamazaki Mazak Museum in Shineicho.

I also checked the special exhibition there, but I thought it was okay, so I was glad that I could go to an exhibition that I wouldn’t normally go to.

At the exhibition “Botanical Story Beginning with Nagoya Castle”, there were bird-and-flower paintings and Western botanical paintings, and you could learn about Siebold and Keisuke Ito. There are no photos inside the venue as photography was prohibited, but I would like to talk about the exhibition.

 

As the name “starts from Nagoya Castle”, immediately after entering the exhibition, there was a ceiling panel painting and a copy of the restoration of the Nagoya Castle Honmaru Palace barrier painting. Proceeding from there, there were many pictures of plants.

One of them is memorable, which is a carrot in the shape of a person.

It’s an old one, so it’s smaller than the palm of your hand because it’s drained of water, but it was in a very interesting state because it was on cotton in a transparent case for exhibition. I thought that all the paintings of plants were serious, so I was surprised and laughed.

By the way, it is said that the closer the carrot is to the shape of a person, the better the effect.

When I proceeded from there, I was happy because I thought that there were only furniture and other paintings of plants.

The furniture was also very beautiful and I was fascinated by it. There was a big clock in it, but it was moving on time, and when I listened, it made a ticking sound.

 

Before I went to this exhibition, I thought that there was only a picture of a plant (figure), but when I went there, it was not only a picture of a plant (figure), but also a humanoid carrot and antique. I was able to see various things such as furniture, pictures of river children and fish, lamps and large jars.

 

In addition, I was able to learn about Keisuke Ito, a scholar of Honzogaku, and his relationship with his teacher, Siebold.

Siebold, the teacher, said about Keisuke Ito, “I am Keisuke’s teacher, and Keisuke is my teacher.” I would be happy if there was such a teacher.

And what was particularly interesting was Keisuke Ito’s daily diet. You need to write such a thing! ?? I thought, but I thought it should be written because it was quite interesting. Keisuke Ito seems to be a frequent eater, and he seems to eat the same meal every day without complaining.

He is also known for coining the words “stamen,” “pistil,” and “pollen,” and when you hear that, he’s an amazing person! I think that.

He is from Nagoya, and a monument is also erected in Heiwa Park in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture.

And at Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Garden, there is also a Keisuke Ito Memorial Room. Some of the items displayed in the exhibition were held at the Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Garden.

 

I enjoyed the “Plant Story Starting from Nagoya Castle” more than I expected without any prior knowledge.

The session ends on August 29th and will end this month, but if you are interested, please do so within a reasonable range.
