今朝は、春の訪れを告げるウグイスの鳴き声で目が覚めました。

早朝すぎて自分の目覚ましアラームより早かったので、もう少し遅いとありがたかったのですが…笑

夢半ばでしたので、ん⁈ まだ夢の中？と思うほど突然のさえずりにびっくりでした。

 

清々しく響き渡る「ホーホケキョ」のさえずりは、この時期のオスだけですね。

それも最初はうまく鳴けず、親の鳴き声を真似して習得していくのです。

練習中の若い鶯の鳴き方を映像で見たことがありますが、それはそれで何とも可愛らしく…。

たまに音程のちょっとズレた鳴き声を耳にすることもありますが、それは懸命に努力している声と思えば微笑ましいですよね。

自然界もみな健気に頑張っています。

 

日本三鳴鳥は、ウグイス・コマドリ・オオルリの三種。

オオルリもまた鳴き声と姿が美しいことで知られています。

オスは木の枝のてっぺん、一番目立つところでメスにアピールする姿がお決まりです。

複雑で変化に満ちたさえずりで長時間がんばって鳴くのですね。

スズメと同じくらいの小鳥なのにものすごいエネルギーとバイタリティがあるようです。

オオルリの雄は名前の通り、頭から背中・翼、・尾までが輝く瑠璃色、お腹は白いのでそのコントラストが見事と言われています。

それに対し雌は褐色なので、残念ながら地味です。

江戸時代、オオルリに学名を付けたシーボルトの図鑑では、雄と雌は別の品種になっているとのこと。

あまりにも色が違うので同じ鳥だとは思わなかったようですね。

 

人間界でも春になると、皆さん自然とカラフルな洋服を選びますよね。

おこもりの多い季節を終え、軽やかな装いで暖かい陽ざしの中へ自然と足が向かうのは、人間も植物も一緒ですね。

本日は思いがけず雨が降り出してしまいましたが、ウグイスが外へ誘ってくれているような朝を迎えられてちょっとほっこり気分です。

I was in the middle of a dream, so⁈ Still in a dream? I was surprised at the sudden song.

The refreshingly echoing “Hohokekyo” song is only for males at this time.

It doesn’t sound well at first, and you learn by imitating the parent’s bark.

I’ve seen a video of how a young warbler squeals while practicing, but it’s so cute .

Occasionally, I hear a cry that is slightly out of tune, but it’s funny to think of it as a hard-working voice.

Everyone in the natural world is doing their best.

 

The three Japanese songbirds are the Japanese bush warbler, robin, and blue-and-white flycatcher.

Blue-and-white flycatchers are also known for their beautiful calls and appearances.

It is customary for males to appeal to females at the top of tree branches, where they stand out most.

It’s a complex and varied song, and you’ll do your best for a long time.

Although it is a small bird as small as a sparrow, it seems to have tremendous energy and vitality.

As the name suggests, the male blue-and-white flycatcher has a bright lapis lazuli color from the head to the back, wings, and tail, and the belly is white, so the contrast is said to be wonderful.

On the other hand, females are brown, so unfortunately they are sober.

According to Siebold’s pictorial book, which gave Ooruri a scientific name during the Edo period, males and females are of different varieties.

You didn’t think they were the same bird because they were so different in color.

 

Even in the human world, when spring comes, everyone naturally chooses colorful clothes.
