明日からいよいよ８月。

 

なんて８月の予定などを巡らしていたところに、昨日は突然のカムチャツカの地震による津波警報の発令。昨日は避難など大変な時間を過ごされた方もおいででしょう。注意報など早く解除されることを祈ることしかできない自分ですが、東日本大震災や近々ですとトカラ列島の群発地震や能登半島地震などを思い出すと、いつどこで起こるかわからない地震への備えの大切さについて再び肝に銘じた昨日でありました。

 

 

 

 

さてさてこの８月、どう過ごすか思いあぐねている方もおいででしょうか。私もその中の一人なのですが、その悩みの一つがこの猛暑なのですが、日中のお出かけはちょっとい厳しいな…なんてみなさま、ならば夜のお出かけはどうでしょう。この夏の愛知県内のサマーナイトの営業やイベントを少しご紹介いたしましょう。

 

 

 

 

＊　名古屋港水族館【名古屋市】

「サマーナイトアクアリウム」

名古屋港水族館はサマーナイトアクアリウム期間中は20:00まで延長開館されます。夜の魚たちの様子や、ゆっくり寛ぐペンギンの寝姿など、夜ならではの見どころ盛りだくさん。大人気のイルカのナイトパフォーマンスも必見でして、昼間とは一味違う夜の海の仲間たちの様子は気になりますね。

「ナイトZOO＆GARDEN」

夏の夜に園内をライトアップし、いつもとは違う雰囲気で動物を鑑賞できる大人気イベント「ナイトZOO＆GARDEN」が開催されます。ライトアップも毎年違った雰囲気を出してるようです。日中お昼寝ばかりしてるあの動物たちの活動している姿を観察できるのはこの時期だけですので、ここか行くべきか笑。

「宵の明治村」開催日は開村時間を20:30まで延長して毎年大好評の花火競演や野外ステージショーのほか、今年は体感型プロジェクションマッピング「夏夜の賑わい」などの各種イベントが開催されているそうです。また、浴衣を着て「宵の明治村」開催日に行くと入村料がなんと半額になるという！。

愛・地球博20周年の節目の今年は旧万博会場にて2025年3月25日（火）～2025年9月25日（木）までイベントが開催中です。8月は夏イベントを開催しているようです。歴史を楽しく学べる大規模な水鉄砲合戦や愛知の魅力を発信するブースの出展や学び講座などを開催する「エンジョイサマー」、盆踊りをはじめ大学生によるステージや光るドローンによるショー、縁日屋台など、夏の夜を楽しむ「ナイトファンタジー」の２つのイベントを開催しています。

omorrow is the last day of August.

Just as I was thinking about my plans for August, a tsunami warning was suddenly issued yesterday due to the earthquake in Kamchatka. I am sure some of you had a hard time evacuating yesterday. I can only pray that the warning will be lifted soon, but remembering the Great East Japan Earthquake, and in the near future, the Tokara Islands earthquake swarm and the Noto Peninsula earthquake, I was reminded yesterday of the importance of being prepared for earthquakes, which can happen anywhere and at any time.

 

Now, I wonder if there are some of you who are wondering how to spend this August. I am one of them, and one of my problems is the intense heat. How about a night out? Here are some of the summer nighttime events and activities in Aichi Prefecture this summer.

 

Nagoya Port Aquarium (Nagoya City) Summer Night Aquarium

The Port of Nagoya Aquarium will be open until 20:00 during the Summer Night Aquarium. There are many nighttime attractions, such as the sight of fish at night and the sleeping penguins relaxing in their beds. The popular night performance of dolphins is also a must-see, and it will be interesting to see the sea friends at night, which are different from those in the daytime.

Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Garden (Nagoya City) Night ZOO & GARDEN

Night ZOO & GARDEN” is a very popular event in which the zoo is lit up on a summer night and visitors can see the animals in a different atmosphere than usual. The lights seem to create a different atmosphere every year. This is the only time of the year when you can observe the animals in action, as they are always napping during the day.

Also, if you wear a yukata (light cotton kimono) on the day of “Yoi no Meiji-mura”, the entrance fee will be reduced to half price!

Two events are being held: “Enjoy Summer,” which includes a large scale water gun battle where visitors can enjoy learning about history, booth exhibits and learning courses on the attractions of Aichi, and “Night Fantasy,” where visitors can enjoy summer nights with Bon Odori dancing, a stage by university students, a glowing drone show, fair stalls, and more! The “Night Fantasy” is a summer nighttime event that includes a Bon dance, a university student stage, a glowing drone show, and fair food stands.
