名古屋は雪が積もってホワイトクリスマスですね。

 

朝から電車の遅延など、飲食店の方は繁忙期にも関わらずお忙しいと思います。

 

Nはいつもイベントの日は、混むのでずらしてお祝いしたりいたします。

 

 

 

秋田県出身の知人は、雪になると東北魂がうずくとおおはしゃぎ。

 

ちょっと雪かきしてくる！と嬉しそうにしておりました。

 

猫はこたつで丸くなると言いますが、うちの猫は肉球が冷たくなるまではしゃいで、外を眺めておりました。

 

秋田の雪はさらさらですが、名古屋の雪は硬くてべちゃべちゃです。

 

それを忘れてクリスマスだからというだけで白い服で来てしまい、大失敗。

 

既に、雪の泥はねの汚れがついておりました。

 

これからデートの方は、服装選びにはお気を付けください。

 

 

フィンランドに行った際に購入した、ソレルのブーツやモフモフのフライトキャップがあるのですが、こちらでは暑すぎて使えません。（－８℃のフィンランドでは丁度いい）

 

雪のふった今日こそ使うべきでした。

 

覚王山周辺は坂が多く、大変滑りやすくなっておりますので、御来店の際はご注意ください。

 

あ、受験生もいる家庭では滑りやすいは禁句でございますね。

 

本日はクリスマスの曲を店内でかけて、少しでもクリスマス気分を味わおうと思います。

 

 

 

東京の知人からメルヘンなイルミネーションの写真が送られてきました。

 

白馬の馬車に乗れるなんてロマンチックですね。

 

ここらへんでは、有名なのはなばなの里イルミネーションでしょうか。

 

ずっと昔にいちご狩りに行ってから中々行けておりません。

 

昔は長島スパーランドが目的でしたが、最近は湯あみの島の温泉かジャズドリーム長島でお買い物ですね。

 

クリスマスということもあって、隣のロンドンカップケーキにはひっきりなしにお客様がいらっしゃいます。

 

クリスマスと言えば思い出すのは、フィンランドにいる本場のサンタさんの話です。

 

フィンランドのロヴァニエミにサンタクロース村がございます。

 

首都のヘルシンキからは国内線で１時間２０分、列車では１０～１２時間半かかります。

 

Nは、特別寝台車のサンタクロースエクスプレス号というので行きました。

 

シャワー室がありましたが、常に満室で狭く使える状態ではないので仕方なく断念。

 

部屋の小さな手洗いで顔を洗ったり、中々経験できない体験でございました。

 

寒さと列車や水やドアなどいろんな音が混ざって寝れないかと思いきや、真っ白な銀世界を眺めているうちにいつの間にか爆睡しておりました。

 

 

 

実際に行ったサンタクロース村は、絵本の中にいるかのような素敵なところでした。

 

本物のサンタさんと写真が撮れますが、並んでいたのと、グッズを買って身につけないとかなりの塩対応をされると聞いていたのでやめておきました。

 

そんな塩対応のサンタさんを見ると悲しくなってしまいそうです。

 

サンタさんよりテンションがあがったのはやはり本場のトナカイです。

 

体の半分以上ある大きな角、穏やかな顔、気品のある佇まい、とてもかっこよかったです。

 

トナカイは、鹿の仲間では唯一、雌雄共に角を持ちます。

 

雄の角は大きく90〜120cmで雌は30〜40cm程度もあるとか。

 

雪や柔らかいツンドラ地面に適応するために蹄は半月型で広く、凹みがあります。

 

足の肉球部分は夏季にはスポンジのようになっていますが、冬には硬くなります。

 

広い蹄は泳ぐのにも役立ち、時速11kmほどで泳ぐことができます。

 

また時速80kmほどで走ることもでき、水陸どちらも得意です。

 

摂氏-60℃まで耐えられますが、-15℃を超えると辛いそうです。

 

寿命は15〜18年くらいなので、犬や猫と同じくらいでしょうか。

 

人でも寒かったり、お酒を飲んだりしたら鼻が赤くなる人いるのと似ているとか。

 

調べてみますとたしかにうっすらピンクがかったトナカイの写真が出てきました。

 

あの歌は間違いではなかったのですね。

 

ここまでトナカイについて可愛いとお話してまいりましたが、実はこのトナカイ食べられるのです。

 

レッドリストにのっているので、食べられる場所はかぎられているそうですが、Nもいただいてきました。

 

特に嫌なにおいなどもなかったのを覚えております。

 

フィンランドの北東、ロヴァニエミに実在するサンタクロース村には、世界中の国々からサンタクロース宛に、毎年70万通を超えるお手紙が届きます。

サンタクロース村「サンタクロースからの手紙」は、サンタクロース事務局が、このグリーティングセンターと契約しているフィンランドから届くクリスマスレターです。

 

来年、サンタクロースに手紙を書いてみてはいかがでしょうか。

 

年末年始の大掃除の前に物を減らして、お部屋をすっきりさせてみてはいかがでしょうか？

皆さま、こんにちは。スタッフMです。

先日久しぶりに筋違いをしてしまいまして・・運転するのも一苦労でしたが、ようやく治ってきました。参考までに、もし筋違いや寝違えをしてしまった場合は、脇の下を優しくマッサージしてあげると治りやすいようです。

私も試してみたのですが、だいぶ良くなりましたのでこれは効果大かもしれません。

 

そもそも今回私は筋違いをしてしまったのですが、寝違えとは何が違うのか気になった方もいらっしゃるのではないでしょうか。

 

寝違えは、たいてい背骨の歪みによる関節のひどい固着と捻挫の合わせ技だそうです。合わせ技だなんて聞いてしまったら、そりゃあんなに痛いわけだ…と納得いたしました（笑）

筋違いは湿布や消炎剤だけで治ることも多いようですが、寝違えは下手するとかなり長引いてしまうこともあるのだとか。

思い出してみれば、昔寝違えをしてしまい1週間ほど痛みが続いたこともあったような…

 

私の勝手な理解では、寝違えは寝て起きた時に痛かったら寝違えで、日中に痛めてしまうことを筋違いと言うのだとばかり思っていました。

今回筋違いになりマッサージと湿布ですぐ治りましたが、寝違いはとっても厄介なので日頃から正しい姿勢を心掛けたり、ストレッチをして予防しなければいけませんね。

 

近頃のスタッフMの痛かった話はここまでにして、先日出勤しましたらまた少し店内のレイアウトが変わっていたのでちょっとだけお店したいと思います。

 

 

今までは、外から店内を見ると福助が待ち構えていたと思いますが、現在は古伊万里の大壺と李朝写しの飾り棚が窓際に飾られております。

 

李朝写しに関しては、太陽の光を浴びるとキラキラと輝きとても美しく見とれてしまいます。

古伊万里の大壺はもう当店の古株でおなじみですよね。

李朝の家具はここ最近若者の間でも大人気の商品になりますので、気になる方はぜひ店頭にて直接ご覧ください。

I also tried it, but it got a lot better, so this may be effective. In the first place, this time I had a twisted muscle, but some of you may be wondering what is different from a crooked sleep.

 

It seems that crooked sleep is usually a combination of a severe fixation and a sprain of the joint due to the distortion of the spine. When I heard that it was a combination technique, I was convinced that it hurt so much (laughs) Stiff muscles can often be cured with only compresses and anti-inflammatory agents, but crooked sleep can last quite a long time if you’re not good at it. When I think about it, there was a time when I had a crick in my sleep and the pain lasted for about a week.

 

In my selfish understanding, I just thought that cricks are cricks if it hurts when you wake up from sleep, and that it hurts during the day. This time I had a strained muscle and it was quickly cured with a massage and a compress, but it is very troublesome to sleep in the wrong place, so I have to keep in mind the correct posture on a daily basis and do some stretching to prevent it.

先日からの寒波で日本海側を中心に大雪による渋滞や停電など大変な状況になっておりますね。たいへん心配しております。こちらの地域の皆様どうかお気を付けくださいませ。そして早急な復旧を願うばかりです。

 

そんな寒波が明日からまた襲ってくるそうでして、前回よりも強い寒波が長く影響して心配ではあります。明日からJPCZが再び発生する可能性があり、寒波によりさらに広い地域で雪を降らしたり寒気が流れ込んでくるということですから、このクリスマス寒波とにかく備えておきたいと思っております。がしかし、個人的なことではありますがクリスマスのお引越しが気になります。

 

そんな寒さの中ではありますが先日、名駅を通りかかりましたところ、今年もクリスマスツリーが登場しておりました！。今年はグリーンと白の電飾をモチーフにしたツリーのようですね。

 

 

 

 

TVでも某テーマパークや、有名人による街の点灯式などがニュースになったりと、毎年毎年様々なデザインや趣向をこらして、クリスマスツリーも多様化、そしてイルミネーションも兼ねてイベント化の時代。

 

昨年一昨年はクリスマスツリーを楽しむ気持ちすらなかったような気がいたしますが、今年は少しずつ楽しめるような気がしてやっぱりある方がいいなとしみじみ思った次第です。

 

ちょっと検索してみたのですが、今年もいろいろなツリーが登場しているようです。

 

岐阜県各務原市の水族館アクア・トトぎふでは、デンキウナギが放つ電気でイルミネーションを光らせる一風変わったクリスマスツリーがで展示され、訪れる人たちを楽しませているとか。

 

はたまた、北海道室蘭市の港では、コンブで作った変わり種のクリスマスツリーが登場しておりました。これはこれで気になる。

 

海外のニュースでは、ノルウェーが第2次世界大戦中に英国から受けた支援への感謝の印として、1947年以来毎年英国にクリスマスにツリーを寄贈しているのですが、 そのツリーに対し「元気がない」とか「垂れ下がっている」などと賛否両論だとかないとか。飾りをつけてみてはどうなのか…。

 

そんな折、私がちょっと気になって見に行きたいなと思っておりますのは、スイス・ジュネーブ最古の独立マニュファクチュール、パテック フィリップによるクリスマスツリー。

この度日本で初めて新宿住友ビル三角広場に飾られているとのことでして、高さ8メートルにものぼるツリーは、時計の歯車やゼンマイを象った本社エントランスのオブジェ“スパイラル”で飾られおり、頂上にはパテック フィリップのエンブレムである“カラトラバ”がひと際明るく輝いております。

 

さらにツリーの上には、幻想的な光を映し出す大小12個のダイヤ型の装飾が空中で舞うように煌めいており、20分ごとに繰り広げられるライティングショーでは、音で時を知らせるミニットリピーターのゴングも響きわたり、美しい光と音色で構成されていることのとですので、一度見てみたいですね。

 

そんな名駅のクリスマスツリーも通り過ぎただけだったのですが、エスカレーターを上りながら、ちょうどツリーを高いところからも見ることができまして。みなさんツリーを楽しそうに眺めてていたり、話したり、笑顔で写真を撮っていたりとツリーを囲むように笑顔の輪ができておりましてなんともよい風景でありました。

やっぱりクリスマスツリーはいいな。今年は皆さまどんなクリスマスツリーみれましたか？

The cold wave is expected to hit again tomorrow, and I am worried that it will be stronger than the last one and affect us for a longer period of time. I would like to be prepared for this Christmas cold wave anyway, because there is a possibility that the JPCZ will occur again tomorrow, and the cold wave will bring snow and cold air to an even wider area. However, on a personal note, I am wondering if it will be safe to move in during the Christmas season.

 

The other day, I passed by Meieki Station and saw a Christmas tree decorated with green and white lights. This year, the tree seems to be decorated in the motif of green and white lights.

 

Christmas trees are becoming more and more diversified, with various designs and elaborate decorations and illuminations, and the Christmas tree lighting ceremonies in certain theme parks or by celebrities have become news on TV.

Last year and the year before, I don’t think I even enjoyed Christmas trees, but this year I feel like I can enjoy them a little more, and I sincerely feel that it is better to have them.

 

I did a little searching and found that there are a variety of Christmas trees on the market this year.

At Aqua Toto Gifu, an aquarium in Kakamigahara City, Gifu Prefecture, an unusual Christmas tree that is illuminated by electric lights emitted by electric eels is on display for visitors’ enjoyment.

 

And at a port in Muroran City, Hokkaido, an unusual Christmas tree made of kelp was on display. This is curious.

 

According to overseas news, Norway has donated a tree to the UK every Christmas since 1947 as a token of gratitude for the support it received from the UK during World War II, but there is some controversy over the tree, saying that it is “listless” and “drooping. How about putting up some decorations…?

 

I am a little curious about the Christmas tree by Patek Philippe, the oldest independent manufacture in Geneva, Switzerland, and would like to go see it. The 8-meter high tree is decorated with a spiral, an object at the entrance of the headquarters that resembles a watch wheel or a spring, and at the top is the Patek Philippe emblem, the “Patek Philippe Christmas Tree”. At the top of the tree, Patek Philippe’s emblem, the “Calatrava,” shines brightly.

今年も残すところ１０日となり、年内最後の出勤までスタッフM のカウントダウンでも始めてみようかと考えております。

ニュースでも雪の影響で大変な方も多くいらっしゃるようで、本当に心配です。

 

２３日（金）から２５日（日）は再び冬型の気圧配置が強まるとのことで、「クリスマス寒波」となる予想。こちら名古屋もクリスマスイブからクリスマスにかけて”ホワイトクリスマス”となるようでして、きっとロマンチックなクリスマスを過ごされる方が多そうです。

 

もし何も予定がないという方いらっしゃいましたら、風光舎は通常通り営業しておりますので是非お待ちしております。

 

 

さて、少し前になりますが、大府で開催された「器と暮らし市」に行ってまいりました。

常滑焼、瀬戸焼、美濃焼、有名な焼き物など個性が光る作品がたくさんありました。

 

作家さんが直接どのような想いで作られたのか、お話をしながら作品について教えてくれる時間はとっても貴重で贅沢な時間でした。

自宅にぜひともお迎えしたい器ばかりでかなり悩んでしまいましたが、可愛らしいそばちょこを２ついただいて帰宅。

 

器と暮らし市では、焼き物だけでなく道具や焼き菓子、フードトラック、またワークショップも開催していてとっても気になるものだらけでした。

今回は「オノモト商店」の小麦粉・添加物不使用のスパイスキーマカレーもいただいたのですが、本当に美味しくてまたどこかで出会えたら食べたくなる味でした。

 

そしてもうひとつ気になったのが、「タフティング」のワークショップです。

一度やってみたいと思っていたのですが、こんな場所で機会が訪れるなんて！！

 

タフティングとは、「タフティングガン」と呼ばれる銃のような機械で、ガンの先端にニードルがついていて、そちらに毛糸をセットして布に押し当て毛糸を植え込んでいくというもので、ハンドメイドのラグなどが作れます。

是非体験してみたいと思ったのですが、予約がいっぱいで残念ながら体験できませんでした…

一度やってみたかったのですが、今回もおあずけということで絶対に来年には体験してみたいと思います！

 

「器と暮らし市」にてお気に入りのものを手に入れることもできましたし、とっても楽しいイベントでした。また次回、機会がありましたら参加したいと思います。

There are only 10 days left this year, and I’m thinking of starting a staff M countdown until the last work day of the year. It seems that there are many people who are having a hard time due to the snow in the news, so I am really worried.

 

From the 23rd (Friday) to the 25th (Sunday), the winter-type pressure pattern is expected to strengthen again, and it is expected to be a “Christmas cold wave.” From Christmas Eve to Christmas here in Nagoya, it will be a “white Christmas”, so I’m sure there will be a lot of people spending a romantic Christmas there.

If you don’t have any plans, Fukousha will be open as usual, so we are waiting for you.

 

A little while ago, I went to the “Vessels and Living Market” held in Obu. There were many unique works such as Tokoname ware, Seto ware, Mino ware, and famous pottery.

 

It was a very precious and luxurious time to talk with the artist directly about what kind of thoughts they had when they made it, and to tell them about their works. I had a lot of trouble with all the bowls I wanted to welcome to my home, but I got two cute sobachoko and went home.

 

At the tableware and living market, there were not only pottery but also tools, baked sweets, food trucks, and workshops. This time, I also had the spiced curry from Onomoto Shoten, which does not use flour or additives.

 

Another thing that caught my attention was the tufting workshop. I’ve always wanted to try it once, but I never thought I’d have the opportunity in a place like this! !

 

Tufting is a gun-like machine called a “tufting gun” with a needle attached to the tip of the gun. You can make rugs etc. I really wanted to try it, but unfortunately I couldn’t because it was fully booked… I wanted to try it once, but this time I’ll definitely try it again next year!

 

I was able to get my favorite things at the “Vessels and Living Market”, and it was a very fun event. I would like to participate again next time if there is an opportunity.

先日、知人のオペラを見に岐阜に行って参りました。

 

コンサートは好きでよく行っておりましたが、オペラは中々行かないので貴重な経験でございました。

 

パイプオルガンのある広々とした空間でしたので、音が豪華で素敵でした。

 

岐阜バスに久しぶりに乗ったのですが、マナカが使えないので現金を握りしめて足りるかドキドキ。

 

しかも、初めてのホールで入り口がわからず、全面ガラス張りのドアをかたっぱしから引いていると、中から慌てて係りの人がいらして「こっちこっち！」と指をされる始末。

 

Nは完全に不審者でしたが、何とか中に入ることができました。

 

そして、開演後でしたので、２階のテラス席へ案内され、休憩中に１階に移動するように促されました。

 

景色が良かったので、「この場所でもいいですよ」とお伝えすると「ここは開放しておりませんので、下の階へご移動ください」とのこと。

 

色々といつも通りのうっかりNでございました。

 

さて、先日若宮八幡宮に行って参りました。

 

 

 

若宮八幡宮は白川公園と名古屋パルコの間にございます。

 

いつも通る道なのですが、中に入ったことがないということで行ってみますと、大きな木彫りの虎がおりました。

 

もうすぐ寅年も終わりですね。

 

Nは虎が大好きで、東山動植物の虎を１人で３０分以上見続けていることもございます。

 

動物占いで虎の方とも相性がいい気がします。

 

街の中心にあり、普段何気なく見ている場所ですが、この機会に調べてみました。

 

基本的には本宮の摂・末社として主祭神の御子(みこ)を神に祀(まつ)る社(やしろ)をいいますが、ときに本宮に対してその主神の分霊を勧請(かんじょう)した社を若宮といい、また非業の死を遂げた怨霊(おんりょう)を慰め鎮めるために祀った社を若宮と称する例も少なくありません。

 

若宮神社は、治承年間（1177～1180年）、平重盛が丹波の国守をしていた時、山城の国（京都府南部）石清水八幡宮の権殿に祀られている御祭神・仁徳天皇の御分霊を、この地に迎えたものと伝えられています。

 

若宮八幡宮のご祭神は、「仁徳天皇」「応神天皇」「武内宿禰命(たけのうちすくねのみこと)」で、家内安全、国家安泰のご利益があります。 境内にはクスノキや銀杏、橘、桜などの木が枝を広げております。

 

社伝によれば、奈良時代初期の養老2年（718年）に勧請されたそうです。

 

一説に、甲賀武士53家の一つ、大河原氏の祖である足利又太郎を祀っているとか。

 

商売繁盛や選挙にご利益がある神様として知られ、各地から熱心な参拝者が訪れます。

 

境内社に熱田神社、津島神社、愛宕神社、そして元伊勢の伝承が残る皇大神宮がございます。

Well, the other day I went to Wakamiya Hachimangu Shrine.

 

 

 

 

Wakamiya Hachimangu Shrine is located between Shirakawa Park and Nagoya Parco.

 

It’s a road I always pass, but I’ve never been inside, so when I went there, there was a big carved tiger.

 

The Year of the Tiger is almost over.

 

N loves tigers, and has been watching tigers in Higashiyama fauna and flora for more than 30 minutes by himself.

 

I feel that it is compatible with tigers in animal fortune-telling.

 

Located in the center of the city, it is a place that I usually look at casually, but I took this opportunity to check it out.

 

Basically, it refers to a shrine that enshrines the child of the main enshrined deity as a subordinate and subordinate shrine of the main shrine. A shrine is called Wakamiya, and there are many cases where a shrine enshrined to comfort and appease a vengeful spirit who died violently is called Wakamiya.

It is famous for matchmaking and the “Kamimusubi Wishing Cord”, and the limited-edition goshuin on the 1st of each month is also popular.

 

 

It was built in the Shoima market in Nagoya (near present-day Nagoya Castle) during the reign of Emperor Monmu (697-707).

In 1532, the shrine building was destroyed by fire when Oda Nobuhide attacked Nagoya Castle.

It was rebuilt in Tenmon 8 (1539), and 200 koku of shrine land was donated by Lord “Toyotomi Hideyoshi”.

本日の名古屋、風もあり少々冷えまして朝から寒かったですね。寒波の厳しい地域の皆様にくらべましたら、「そんなでもないぞと。」と、お𠮟りをうけそうですが、いやあ寒かったですね。

 

ところで、そろそろクリスマスが近づいてまいりましたが、皆様クリスマスのご予定はきまっておりますでしょうか？私は、家族の引っ越しになってしまいまして、引っ越しクリスマスとなりそうです。

ですが今年のクリスマス、昨年に比べてやはり少々盛り上がっているような気がするのは私だけでしょうか…。お店のディスプレイも昨年よりどことなく派手。先日も久しぶりにイルミネーションをみまして、なんだか随分お目にかかってなかった久しぶり感がありましたね。

 

そんな矢先、先日シュトーレンをいただいたきました。このシュトーレンどうも綺麗に食べれませんね笑。お砂糖を見事に散財してしまいまして、食べるが難しい…。

 

 

 

 

シュトーレン、発祥の地は皆さまご存知かと思いますがお国はドイツ。

ドイツ・ザクセン州のドレスデン（Dresden）と考えられおりますが、文献で残っている最古の記録は14世紀（1329年）、現在のザクセン地方にあるナウムブルク（Naumburg）の司教にあてた『クリスマスの贈り物』が始りのようです。

 

表面にはたっぷりと白い砂糖がまぶされておりまして、先ほど切り分ける時に大変苦戦したのですが、この真っ白で細長い形をしたシュトーレンの形が、まるで白いおくるみにつつまれた幼子のイエス・キリストのように見えることから、司教への献上品としてふさわしいとされたとのこと。

 

私のいただいたシュトーレンの中身はナッツやドライフルーツがいろいろ入っておりますが、シュトーレンが誕生した当初のシュトーレンは、オーツ麦とイースト、水、菜種油だけのシンプルな材料で作られていたようでありす。カトリックの教えでは断食期間はバターと牛乳を食べることが禁じられており、いたってシンプルな食べ物だったようであります。

 

シンプルすぎる材料ゆえに、そっけない味になってしまうシュトーレン。

そこに不満を持ったザクセン（ドイツの地名）選帝侯エルンストと弟アルブレヒトが、1430年にローマ教皇へ「バター・牛乳摂取禁止令」の撤廃を懇願したというのですから、底知れぬ食べ物に対する欲求は、国、時代問わずといったところでしょうか。

 

選帝侯というのは、神聖ローマ帝国の君主に対する選挙権を持った特別な貴族のことでして、この時は許可されませんでしたが、1491年に教皇インノセント8世が、教会の建設費用と引き換えに、菜種油ではなくバターを使用しても良いという許可「バター食用許可証（Butterbrief）」を公布いたしました。バターを使うことだけがこんなにも困難な時代もあったのか。

 

この公布はザクセン選帝侯の宮廷でのみ有効だったのですが、これをきっかけに、バターと牛乳を使用したシュトレンが公国全体に広まります。

 

そして、ハインリッヒ・ドラスドという宮廷のパン職人が、乾燥フルーツなどを加えて工夫したことで、シュトーレンは「シンプルな材料で作られたそっけない味のパン」から、「華やかなお祝いのお菓子」へと変貌し、今日に伝わるシュトーレンと進化していきます。

 

その後ザクセン公国では、シュトーレンを毎年クリスマスに宮廷に献上するのが習慣となるのですが、1500年頃には、『クリスマスのキリストパン』という名前で、ドレスデンのシュトリーツェル・マルクトで、クリスマスシュトーレンが販売され始めました。

 

1730年には、アウグスト強王（アウグスト2世）が2万4000人を招いたパーティーの最後に出す1.8トンものシュトーレンをパン屋組合に注文したとのこと。この超巨大シュトーレンは8日間かけて焼かれ、1.6メートルのナイフで客の前でさばかれたと言われておりますが、どんなシュトーレンだったのでしょうか笑。

 

様々な美味しいスィーツが登場しております現在においては、クリスマスまでにゆっくり少しずづいただくシュトーレンは味も見た目もいささか地味目なお菓子となってきておりますが、平和の象徴のようなあのシュトーレンが現在の味形に完成するまでに、そんな「たたかい？」の歴史があったとは驚きですね。

 

今年くらいそのたたかいの歴史を噛みしめながら、ゆっくりいただいてもいいのではと思っております。

The other day, I received a Stollen. I can’t seem to eat this Stollen without making it look pretty, lol. I’ve wasted a lot of sugar and it’s difficult to eat….

 

As you may know, Stollen originated in Germany.

The earliest known written record of Stollen dates back to the 14th century (1329), when a Christmas gift was sent to the bishop of Naumburg in what is now the Saxony region.

 

The surface of the stollen was covered with so much white sugar that I had a hard time cutting it into pieces, but it was considered a suitable gift for the bishop because the pure white, elongated shape of the stollen looked like the infant Jesus Christ wrapped in a white wrap. The contents of the Stollen that I received were from the bishop of Naxos.

 

The stollen I have received is filled with various nuts and dried fruits, but the original stollen was made with simple ingredients: oats, yeast, water, and rapeseed oil. Catholic teaching forbade the consumption of butter and milk during the fasting period, so it was a very simple food.

 

Stollen is made from too simple ingredients, and the taste is bland.

Dissatisfied with this, Elector Ernst of Saxony (the name of a place in Germany) and his brother Albrecht petitioned the Pope in 1430 for the abolition of the “prohibition of butter and milk.

 

Electors were special aristocrats who had the right to vote for the monarch of the Holy Roman Empire, and in 1491, Pope Innocent VIII issued a “Butterbrief,” which allowed the use of butter instead of rapeseed oil, in exchange for money to build a church. 本日の猫ちゃんニュースは、N白黒猫ちゃんと黒猫ちゃんに会う、の二本立てでございます。

 

白黒猫ちゃんはきっと先日お会いした猫ちゃんだと思われます。

 

 

車が来ていたので、猫がいますよ、というのを目線で伝えつつ、無事に渡りきるのを確認してからお見送り。

 

小さな子供もそうですが、車の後ろや曲がり角にいると全く気づきません。

 

実は先日、自転車に乗っていたところ、警察に止められてしまいました。

 

知り合いに自転車を借りたところ、ライトが壊れておりまして、しかも私が全身真っ黒の服を着ていたもので危ないとのこと。

 

ヘルメットもありましたが、サイズが合わずかぶれず、知り合いの自転車だったので、盗難車か確認。

 

などなど、事情を説明したらわかっていただけましたが、少しドキドキ致しました。

 

しかも、私がこちらの方が道が広くて安全だと思っていたところが、事故が多発している場所で、向こうの道を通るようにとのことでした。

 

 

全てのチョイスを間違っていたNですが、警察の方のお陰で安全に帰ることが出来ました。

 

皆さまもくれぐれも事故など起こさぬよう、巻き込まれぬようお気を付けくださいませ。

 

さて、今日は先日行ってきました高架下のギャラリーカフェをご紹介したいと思います。

 

 

こちらのおしゃれカフェ、ガレットやクレープと一緒に​、シードル・ナチュラルワイン・クラフトビールなどが楽しめます。

 

 

Nはサーモンのガレットをいただきました。

 

もちもちの生地が美味しく、意外にボリューミーでお腹いっぱいになりました。

 

 

ギャラリーでは、作家さんやそれにまつわるPOP UPの企画展を随時開催しているそうです。

 

今回はおしゃれなサボテンがたくさんございました。

 

 

 

サボテンの天ぷらをどこかでいただいたのですが、忘れてしまいました。

 

サボテンが食卓に並ぶ日も近いかもしれませんね。

 

 

 

サボテンの前には可愛い食器が。

 

お皿もシンプルで使いやすそうですし、可愛いですね。

 

オーダー家具の展示や販売や、オーダー家具のサンプルや木工小物を注文・販売もしているそうです。

 

おしゃれなキッチンや家具もあったので、そこで調理するのかと思っていたのですが、サンプルだったのですね。

 

 

他には、電動工具を取り揃え、自由に製作できるDIYに最適なレンタルスペースもあり、最近流行のDIYを始めるのにも良さそうです。

 

ちなみに、今日と明日はしめ縄作りとアイシングクッキー作りをしているそうで、仕事が無ければNも参加したいくらい楽しそうな内容でした。

 

 

 

 

年末のドラァグクイーンイベントもかなり気になりますが、仕事なので断念。

年末にかけてどこも工事をしているところが多く、迂回することが多くなってまいりました。

今日は迂回先で白黒猫とシャム猫に会えたので少しほっこり幸せな気分に。

 

 

 

この前は、まだコロコロの小さな黒猫が４匹、路地裏の隙間を走っていくのを見かけました。

 

こんな寒空の下、どこへ行くのか心配ですが、怖がらせないようにあまり深追いしないでおきます。

 

先日、念願のゴッホアライブに行って参りました。

 

 

 

１２月１０日から２０２３年３月５日まで旧ボストン美術館で開催されている、アートでございます。

 

４０分間の映像作品を、ビーズクッションに座りながらゆったり見ることが出来ます。

 

うっかり、というかやはり寝てしまいました。

 

 

 

薄暗くて、ゆったりした音楽の中、ゴッホの作品を見ているととても心地のよい気分になってしまいました。

 

どこに座るかでまた違った見方が出来ると思いますので、何回でも楽しめると思います。

 

ゴッホのひまわり畑や、部屋など、ARでゴッホさんのキャラクターの写真が撮れたり、子供でも楽しむことができます。

 

 

 

 

後でInstagramを見てみますと、ひまわり畑に顔を寄せて可愛く映え写真を撮っている女の子がおりまして、なるほどこう撮るのかと勉強になりました。

 

 

 

ゴッホと言えば、前に展示会に行った際に、ゴッホの片耳ピアスがグッズで売っていたのが、衝撃的すぎて忘れられません。

 

 

 

今回は可愛らしいグラスなどでしたので安心です。

 

知っているようで知らないゴッホ、こんな絵もあったんだと再発見できる展示でした。

 

寝てしまったので、次回はしっかり見届けようと思います。

The other day, I went to the long-awaited Van Gogh Alive.

 

This is an art exhibition being held at the Old Museum of Fine Arts, Boston from December 10th to March 5th, 2023.

 

You can watch a 40-minute video work while sitting on a bead cushion.

 

I accidentally fell asleep.

 

Looking at Van Gogh’s work in the dark and relaxing music made me feel very comfortable.

 

Depending on where you sit, you can see things differently, so you can enjoy it as many times as you like.

 

You can take pictures of Van Gogh’s characters such as Van Gogh’s sunflower fields and rooms with AR, and even children can enjoy it.

 

When I looked at Instagram later, there was a girl who was taking cute pictures with her face in the sunflower field.

 

Speaking of Van Gogh, when I went to an exhibition before, Van Gogh’s one ear piercing was sold as goods, it was so shocking that I can’t forget it.

 

This time it was a cute glass, so it’s safe.

 

It was an exhibition where I could rediscover Van Gogh, who seemed to know but didn’t know, that there was such a painting.

 

I fell asleep, so I’ll make sure to check it out next time.

今朝は寒さで目が覚めるほど冷えましたね。日本海側では断続的に雪が降り、５０ｃｍ以上積もったところもあるとか…

日本海側の方、急激に積雪が増加していますので車で移動される方は万全の雪道の装備で、お出かけくださいね。

 

こちら名古屋は日中太陽が当たると少し暖かいなと感じるくらいで、朝晩は外を歩いておりますと指が悴んでしまうほど寒くなりました。冷たい風も吹いていて私やはり寒いのは苦手。

 

午前中外で用事を済ませ、震えながらお店に戻り、ストーブをつけることが最近の日課でございます。

さて、今日は冬のこの時期あるあるについて少しお話させていただきます。

 

寒い時期になると朝すっきり起きられない、昼間のお仕事中に眠くなってしまうなど、冬になると眠くなってしまい日常生活に影響があり悩んでいる方も多いのではないでしょうか。

私もその一人でして…７～８時間しっかり寝ても、冬のこの時期になるとどうしても睡魔が来てしまい必死に睡魔と戦いながら過ごしております…

 

実はこの眠気、寝不足とは別に理由があるということを皆さまご存知でしたでしょうか？今日は冬に眠気があらわれる原因を少し調べてみたので共有させていただきますね。

 

調べてみたところ、やはり多くの方がこの冬の睡魔と戦っているようでして一番の大きな理由は「日照時間」が影響しているのだとか。

 

日照時間が短いこと、そして寒暖差が大きな原因だと言われています。

夜にスムーズな睡眠を促すためには、「メラトニン」と呼ばれる睡眠ホルモンが重要な役割を担っており、日中にはメラトニンの原料となる「セロトニン」という脳内ホルモンを作っておくことが重要だそうです。

セロトニンは日光を浴びることで分泌されますが、冬は日照時間が短くなるため、ほかの季節と比べると日光を浴びる時間も減りやすくなります。日光を浴びる時間が減ると、必然的にセロトニンやメラトニンの分泌量も減量してしまうことになります。

 

さらに、セロトニンには精神を安定させる働きもあるため、不足することで不安な感情やうつ状態を引き起こす可能性があることも懸念点だと言われています。

また冬はほかの季節と比べても昼夜の寒暖差が大きく、体温調節が難しくなりますので自律神経の乱れが起きやすくなり眠気を引き起こすとも言われています。

 

最近購入したアイテムで「まるでこたつ靴下」というこたつの中にいるような温かさがある靴下なのですが、履いてみて本当に驚きました。とっても温かくなります。やはり足元を温めるのは大切ですね。

あとは生姜湯などもいいですし、寝る前と起きてすぐ白湯を飲むと一日中体が温まり血液循環もよくなると言われています。

Well, today I would like to talk a little about this time of winter. In the cold season, there are many people who are worried about getting up in the morning, getting sleepy during the daytime work, and getting sleepy in the winter, which affects their daily life. I am one of them… Even if I sleep well for 7 to 8 hours, sleepiness inevitably comes at this time of winter, and I spend my days fighting desperately against sleepiness.

 

In fact, did you know that there is a reason apart from this drowsiness and lack of sleep? Today, I did a little research on the cause of sleepiness in winter, so I’d like to share it with you. When I researched it, it seems that many people are still fighting this winter’s sleepiness, and the biggest reason is that “daylight hours” are affecting.

 

It is said that the short daylight hours and the temperature difference are the main causes. In order to promote a smooth sleep at night, a sleep hormone called “ melatonin ” plays an important role, and it is important to make a brain hormone “ serotonin ” that is the raw material of melatonin during the day. That’s right.

 

Serotonin is secreted by exposure to sunlight, but since the hours of sunlight are shorter in winter, it is easier to spend less time in the sun than in other seasons. Less exposure to sunlight means less serotonin and melatonin production.

 

In addition, since serotonin also has a stabilizing effect on the mind, it is said to be a concern that a lack of it may cause anxiety and depression. In addition, compared to other seasons, the temperature difference between day and night is greater in winter, making it difficult to regulate body temperature.

 

Recently, I bought a pair of socks called “Kotatsu Socks” that make you feel like you’re inside a kotatsu. It gets very warm. It is important to keep your feet warm. Ginger hot water is also good, and it is said that drinking plain hot water before going to bed and immediately after waking up warms the body and improves blood circulation throughout the day.
