本日は春の陽気が一転、全国的に荒れ模様の様子ですね。

天候は気分や行動力に多少の影響はあるでしょう。

ゴールデンウイークを控えているこの時期でも海外渡航はままなりませんし、地域によってはお出かけも難しいことと思います。

世相に反映し、バーチャルトリップなどが盛んのようですが、皆さまはオンラインでそのような体験をされたことがあるでしょうか。

もっと手軽に世界を感じるために、そのような類の書籍もたくさん出版されています。

ジャンルやシリーズも豊富で見飽きません。

私個人的には、有名映画の舞台になった海外都市などを見るのが好きです。

パワー溢れる街、ロマンチックな風景、スリリングな絶景、エキゾチックな雰囲気…

世界各国、本当に様々で独特な空気感を持っていますね。

 

その中でも最近惹かれた場所のひとつに、中世の街並みを感じるベルギーがあります。

まだ訪れたことはないのですが、よくチョコレートやワッフル、たまにビールは口にします笑。

（牛肉をビールだけで煮込んだ郷土料理は近々チャレンジしてみます！）

映画に登場するベルギーの名所はいくつかありますが、皆さまもよく知る児童文学『フランダースの犬』が最も有名でしょうか。

こちらは１９世紀、ベルギー北部のフランドル地方を舞台にした小説です。

貧しくとも健気にがんばる少年と犬の友情を描いた悲劇が涙なしでは観られない名作ですが、やはりルーベンスの秀作が印象的でもあります。

アントワープにある「ノートルダム大聖堂」。

大聖堂の鐘楼部分（その巨大さ１２０メートルを超える！）が世界遺産にも登録されているので、人気観光スポットでもありますね。

１３５２年から１７０年 ⁈もの歳月を費やして造られた壮大なゴシック様式とのこと。

ネロが劇中で観たいと願っていたルーベンスの祭壇画はさぞ圧巻でしょう。

ルーベンスのコレクションが充実していることでは「アントワープ王立美術館」もそのひとつです。

ヤン・ファン・エイクやブリューゲルなどのフランドル絵画や、１４世紀以降の絵画など７６００点が収蔵されているとのことです。

ヨーロッパ芸術満喫ツアーですね。

 

ベルギーつながりの作品として、皆さまの中にも少年少女時代の愛読書だった方もおられるでしょう、『タンタンの冒険』シリーズ。

エルジェのペンネームで知られる著者のジョルジュ・レミはベルギー出身であります。

こちらの物語は子供向けと侮ることなけれ、大人もハマる読み物ではないかと思います。

政治的要素は含まず、少年記者・タンタンが世界中を巡り難事件を解決していく多くのシリーズの中でも「なぞのユニコーン号」だけが舞台をベルギーとしているそうです。

（私は、冒頭で主人公が骨董市を訪れる場面がなんだか好きです）

純粋な冒険物語に沿って、読者も少しは疑似体験できる気がします。

人間今すぐ叶わないとなると余計に欲する性分が出てくるのでしょうか…

行きたいリストばかりが溜まり、ここで何を綴っても虚しいような気もしてきましたが…笑

聖母大聖堂のステンドグラスから差し込む光を浴びる体験を早くできるよう、今は祈るばかりです。

One of the places I’ve been attracted to recently is Belgium, where you can feel the medieval cityscape.

I haven’t visited it yet, but I often eat chocolate, waffles, and sometimes beer.

(I will try the local cuisine of beef stewed only with beer soon!)

There are several Belgian sights in the movie, but is the children’s literature “Dog of Flanders”, which you are familiar with, the most famous?

This is a novel set in the Flanders region of northern Belgium in the 19th century.

The tragedy of the friendship between a poor but healthy boy and a dog cannot be seen without tears, but Rubens’s excellent work is also impressive.

“Notre Dame Cathedral” in Antwerp.

The bell tower of the cathedral (which is over 120 meters in size!) Is registered as a World Heritage Site, so it is also a popular tourist spot.

It is a magnificent Gothic style built from 1352 to 170 years⁈.

The Rubens altarpiece that Nero wanted to see in the play would be a masterpiece.

The Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp is one of the rich collections of Rubens.

It is said that 7,600 paintings such as Flemish paintings such as Jan van Eyck and Bruegel and paintings from the 14th century onwards are stored.

It’s a European art enjoyment tour.

 

As a Belgian-related work, some of you may have loved reading when you were a boy or girl, the “Adventures of Tintin” series.

The author, Georges Remi, known by Hergé’s pseudonym, is from Belgium.

This story should not be dismissed as being for children, and I think it is a reading material that adults will love.

It does not include political elements, and among the many series in which the boy reporter Tantan travels around the world to solve difficult cases, only the “Mysterious Unicorn” is set in Belgium.

(I like the scene where the main character visits the antique market at the beginning)

Along with the pure adventure story, I feel that the reader can experience a little simulated experience.

If humans don’t come true right now, will there be more sexuality they want …

I had a lot of lists I wanted to go to, and I felt like it was empty no matter what I spelled here … lol

Now I just pray for a quicker experience of being exposed to the light shining through the stained glass of the Cathedral of Our Lady.
