先週は陽気に誘われて花を愛でに出掛けたいような日が続きました。
本日は一転して春の嵐かと思いきや、覚王山辺りは未だそれ程ではありません。
街路樹の花々は静かに雨中に佇んでいます。

先週は桜の開花も各地で聞かれ、
ここ名古屋でも17日に開花宣言がなされましたね。
名古屋市の桜の標本木は、古美術風光舎にも程近い
千種区日和町（ひよりちょう）の小高い丘の上にある
「名古屋気象台」の敷地内にございます。

また近隣の平和公園「櫻の園」には
1500本もの桜の木が植わり満開時はなかなか壮観なんですよ。
以前は宴席やBBQで賑やかでしたが、
今年はまだ　静かに花見の散歩を楽しめることでしょう。

最近、桜を見ると思い出す不思議な光景があります。
北陸の春は東海地方よりも一週間程も遅く、
３年程前には４月上旬に桜が満開でした。
その満開の桜に降り積もる雪。
春先のたった一日だけ、
吹雪で一面真っ白になったことがあったのです。
それはちょうど告別式当日で、
まるで故人からのメッセージのようでした。

そしてまた翌日には何事もなかったかのように
積もった雪は消えていました。
雪国とはいえ春先になっては先ずありえない事象で、
その景色はいつまでも心に残っています。

その時に譲り受けた茶道具、
名古屋に持ち帰ってから実は一度も蓋を開けていません。
自分でも今気が付きましたが、もしかしたら、
なんだか玉手箱のような気がしているのかも知れません。
箱を開けたら想い出までもが煙になって消えてしまいそうな…？
いやいや、そんなことはないですよね。
実母が生前に選んでいたお道具です、
そろそろ使ってみたいと思います。

満開の桜も、人の命も儚いものです。
だからこそ大切にしたいと思えるのですね。

The cherry tree specimens in Nagoya are close to the antique art style building

Also, in the surrounding peace park “Sakura-no-en”

It used to be lively with banquets and BBQ,

Recently, when I see the cherry blossoms, there is a mysterious sight that I remember.
Spring in Hokuriku is about a week later than in the Tokai region,
About three years ago, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom in early April.
The snow that falls on the cherry blossoms in full bloom.
Only one day in early spring
There was a time when it was completely white due to a snowstorm.
It was just the day of the farewell ceremony
It was like a message from the deceased.

And again as if nothing had happened the next day
The accumulated snow had disappeared.
Even though it is a snowy country, it is a sight that is unlikely in early spring,
The scenery is forever memorable.

The tea utensils that I received at that time
I have checked the contents of the box once, but
Actually, I haven’t opened the lid since I returned to Nagoya.
I noticed it now, but maybe
It might have felt like a Tamatebako.
If you open the box, your memories will disappear …?
No, that’s not the case.
This is the tool my mother chose during her lifetime.
I would like to use it soon.

The cherry blossoms in full bloom and the lives of people are ephemeral.
That’s why you want to cherish it.
