２月も残すところあと二日。２月は１年の中でもあっという間に終わってしまう月というイメージでしたが、今年は特にそう感じました。というくだりも毎年のような気がいたします（笑）

”一月往ぬる二月逃げる三月去る（いぬるにげつにげるさんげつさる）”という言葉遊びがあるように、この調子ですと３月もあっという間に過ぎて４月になってしまうのでしょうね…

 

一刻一刻を大切に過ごしたいものです。

 

 

さて、最近ＳＮＳや近所のお花屋さんなどでチューリップをよく見かけます。

チューリップは私の大好きなお花の１つでして、春の訪れを知らせてくれるような見ているとワクワクした気分にさせてくれます。

赤や黄色、白、ピンク、オレンジなど鮮やかな色とりどりの花を咲かせ早咲きのものだと３月くらいから咲き始めます。いつも桜の開花の時期と重なるため、世間は桜見の話題で持ち切りになりますがチューリップも負けられないくらい春の主役です。

 

そんなチューリップの種類や特徴について少しご説明させていただきます。

チューリップの由来は花の形が、頭に巻くターバンに似ていることから、ペルシャ語でターバンを意味する「Tulipan（チューリッパ）」や、トルコ語でターバンを意味する「Tulband（トゥルバンド）」に由来する球根植物です。

 

トルコから中央アジアにかけての地域で野生種が多く見つかっており、原種だけでも１００種類を超えると言われているそうです。そして現在までにたくさんの品種が作られており、５０００品種以上が登録されています。

 

色を問わずチューリップ全体の花言葉は「思いやり」「博愛」とされていますが、実は色によってより深い花言葉があるのだそうです。

いくつか調べたものをご紹介させていただきます。

 

赤いチューリップ：「真実の愛」、「愛の告白」

白いチューリップ：「失われた恋」、「新しい恋」

黄色のチューリップ：「名声」、「望みのない恋」

オレンジ色のチューリップ：「照れ屋」

ピンク色のチューリップ：「愛の芽生え」、「誠実な愛」

黒いチューリップ：「私を忘れて」

紫色のチューリップ：「不滅の愛」、「永遠の愛」

 

明るい印象の花言葉もあれば、少しネガティブな花言葉もありますのでプレゼントする際は要注意になりますが、花言葉を意識しなければ、シックな印象の黒や紫も大人っぽくて素敵です。

 

またチューリップはバラと同じように贈り物の場合は本数によっても意味が変わってきます。

本数の説明は少し長くなってしまいますのでこちらのブログでは省略いたしますが、なんともロマンチックで是非色と本数で受け取ってみたいものです。

Only two days left in February. I had an image that February would end in a blink of an eye, but this year I felt that way. I feel like every year．Just as there is a play on words, “Inuru ni getsu nigeru san getsu saru” (inur ni getsu ni geru san getsu saru), “January goes away, February runs away, and March leaves.” I guess it’s gone… I want to cherish every moment.

 

Recently, I often see tulips on social media and at local flower shops. Tulips are one of my favorite flowers and I get excited when I see them as they signal the arrival of spring. Brightly colored flowers such as red, yellow, white, pink, and orange bloom, and early blooming flowers start blooming around March. Because it always overlaps with the cherry blossom season, the world is talking about cherry blossom viewing, but tulips are the main protagonist of spring.

 

I will explain a little about the types and characteristics of such tulips. The name tulip is derived from the shape of the flower, which resembles a turban wrapped around the head. It is a bulbous plant from which Many wild species have been found in the region from Turkey to Central Asia, and it is said that there are more than 100 original species alone. To date, many varieties have been produced, and more than 5,000 varieties have been registered.

 

Regardless of color, the flower language of tulips is said to be “compassion” and “benevolence,” but in fact, it seems that there is a deeper flower language depending on the color. I will introduce you to some of the things I investigated.

 

Red tulip: “true love”, “confession of love”

White Tulip: “Lost Love”, “New Love”

Yellow tulips: “fame”, “hopeless love”

Orange Tulip: “Shyness”

Pink tulips: “Blooming Love”, “Sincere Love”

Black Tulip: “Forget Me”

Purple tulip: ‘immortal love’, ‘eternal love’

 

Some flowers have a bright impression, while others have a slightly negative meaning, so be careful when giving them as a gift.

 

Also, just like roses, tulips have different meanings depending on the number of gifts. Since the explanation of the number is a little long, I will omit it in this blog, but it is very romantic and I would like to receive it by color and number.
