１０月に入りいよいよお出かけしたくなるシーズンになってまいりましたね。本日は三連休の最終日の方もいらっしゃるかと思われます。皆さま連休楽しんでおりますでしょうか。

 

私も先日墓参りにて里帰りなどで出かけておりましたが、久しぶりに渋滞に遭遇いたしました。ですが、少しばかり渋滞までもが懐かしく思ったのですが、だんだんとこればかりはやはりスムーズに進んでほしいものだと、以前の感覚が蘇って参りました。

 

ところで、時折ブログで綴っておりますが古美術風光舎のございますここ尾張地方は、やはり戦国武将にまつわる神社仏閣やゆかりの品などが多い地区でございます。私は県外出身ですので、若かりし頃教科書でお勉強した地名や三英傑や戦国武将にまつわる建造物やゆかりの品などを間近に目にしたり触れられたりしますと、身近にあるかつてのリアルにわくわくしてくるのですが、もとよりこちらにお住まいの方にとっては日常なのでしょうね、皆様いたって普通です笑。

いやいや、これってすごいですから、と、声を大にしていいたいのですが、先日も、とあるところに訪れてとてもそれを思った次第です。

 

以前から気になっておりました清州（清須）城に寄り道してまいりました。

ご存知の方もおいででしょうが、東海道新幹線岐阜羽島駅から名古屋駅にかけての車窓を眺めておりますと、突如あられるあのお城。あれ、清州城なのですが、本来の清州城は別のところにあり（もちろんのこっておりませんが）こちらは新しく建てた模造天守でございます。

 

清州城、大河ドラマや戦国ものの映画などに幾度となく登場いたしますが、先だって某テレビ局が制作しておりました「清須会議」はまさにこの城でのお話。また、昨年の大河ドラマ「麒麟がくる」や来年の放映の大河ドラマ「どうする家康」にはもちろん登場いたしますので、戦国時代のストーリには必ず「清州城」は登場致します。

 

元々清州城は、室町時代応永12年（1405年）、尾張国の守護職であった斯波義重により守護所であった下津城の別郭として建てられたのが清州城の始まりのようですが、弘治元年（1555年）に織田信長が那古野城(なごやじょう)から入城し、永禄3年（1560年）の桶狭間の戦いに勝利し、天下統一への第一歩を踏み出したのもここ清州城。

 

また、本能寺の変でたおれた信長の後継者および遺領の配分を決めるため清州城で開かれたあの天正10年（1582年）「清州会議」を行った場所でもありますが、その後城主となった次男（信雄）によって改修された清州城は、天守を備えた東西1.6km、南北2.8kmにも及ぶ巨大な郭域となったようであります。

また、その後城主は、織田家から豊臣秀次、福島正則と移り、天下分け目の関ヶ原の戦いでは、東軍の最前線の城として重要な軍事拠点でもあったようです。

 

このように尾張国の中心はもともと清洲であったですが、徳川家康の命により慶長17年（1612年）頃から元和2年（1616年）ころまでに行われた清洲からその後名古屋への都市の移転いたします。これを清州越し（きよすごし）と呼ぶようですが、名古屋城の築城により清州城は廃城となってしまい、その建物や石垣などは解体され名古屋城の資材となったようでして、私も知らなかったのですが、名古屋城に移された西北隅櫓は清洲城の遺構だったようですね。

 

そんな誰もが一度は耳にする「清州城」、私も以前から気になっていたのですが、先日近くを通ることがございましてちょっと寄り道してまいりました。

お天気よかったんで、いいが写真取れました。

 

 

 

 

現在の天守は、平成元年（1989年）に旧・清洲町の町制100周年を記念して、清洲城跡に隣接する「清洲地域文化広場」内に建設された鉄筋コンクリート造の模擬天守でありますが、模造とはいえ美しいですよ。こちらは天守閣の裏からの写真でありますが、小さな天守閣ですが石垣も立派ですね。そんなことも堪能できます。

 

天守閣の屋根には金色に輝く鯱をいただき、晴天に美しく輝いております笑。内部は「黒木書院」「芸能の間」が作られ、清須城下の都市機能の全貌を知る「清須城と城下町」がテーマの展示などがされており、戦国時代の清須城下の喧騒や信長公麾下の武将たちの暮らしなど清須の全貌を体感することができます。

 

また、もともと清州城のあった清洲古城跡公園にも、五条川の護岸工事の際に発掘された当時の本丸石垣の一部が移設復元されていおり、お庭なども綺麗に整えられておりますので、ゆっくりと時間を過ごすとこができます。

 

今度は正面側にに周ってみました。

 

 

 

 

天守正面の五条川に架かる赤い橋は「大手橋」。もともとあった清州城（清州城跡）はこの橋を渡った清州古城跡公園内にあるのですが、こちらからの角度が実は橋とともに撮影スポットになっておりまして。

 

何故こちらの新しい天守閣に来たかったかと申しますとこの時間帯の写真では全く伝わらないのですが、この橋に夜、提灯のような街灯がともるのですが、その写真がInstagram等で「千と千尋の神隠し」に出てくる「油屋」のモデルではないか？という噂があるとかないとか。それをちょっと確認してみたくなりまして笑。

 

残念ながら、夜まで撮影をこころみることはできませんでしたので、帰ってInstagram等で検索をして、「千と千尋の神隠し」の「油屋」を見て検証もしてみましたが、似てるような似てないような笑。

 

ですが大手橋と天守閣を朧照らす提灯（街灯）の写真は、ちょっと自分が千尋になったような不思議な感覚になりますので、ご興味のございます方は是非一度検索して、または実際に訪れて検証してみてくださいませ。

 

また、こちらの橋が架かる五条川は護岸の桜も大変素晴らしく愛知県の桜の名所でも有名でありますので、新幹線の車窓から気になった皆さま、その時期に途中下車してみるのもよいかもしれませんね。

It’s October and it’s time to go out! Today is the last day of a three-day weekend for some of you. I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays.

I was visiting my hometown the other day and encountered traffic jams for the first time in a long time, which made me nostalgic, but I gradually came to realize that I wish things would go more smoothly.

 

As I mentioned before, the Owari area, where Fumikosha Antiques is located, is home to many shrines and temples related to warlords of the Warring States period. I am from outside of the prefecture, so when I see and touch the names of places I studied in textbooks when I was young, as well as buildings and artifacts related to the three heroes, I feel a precious sense of being in real contact with the history of the warlords who lived in the area. However, for those who live here, it must be a daily life, and everyone is quite normal. I want to say out loud that this is amazing, and I was reminded of this the other day when I visited a certain place.

 

I stopped by Kiyosu (Kiyosu) Castle, which I have been curious about for a long time.

As some of you may know, when you look out the window of the Tokaido Shinkansen train between Gifu-Hashima Station and Nagoya Station, that castle suddenly appears. It is Seishu Castle.

Kiyosu Castle has appeared many times in Taiga dramas and movies about the Warring States period, and a certain TV station recently produced a story called “The Kiyosu Conference” about this very castle. In addition, Kiyosu Castle is featured in last year’s historical drama “Kirin ga Kuru” and next year’s “Doubtful Ieyasu,” so Kiyosu Castle is always a part of the story of the Warring States Period.

 

Seishu Castle was originally built in 1405 (Oei 12) during the Muromachi period (1336-1573) as a separate fortification from Shimotsu Castle, which was a guardhouse of the Owari Province, by Yoshishige Shiba, a governor of the Owari Province. It was here at Cheongju Castle that Oda Nobunaga took his first step toward unifying Japan by winning the Battle of Okehazama in 1560.

 

It was also the site of the “Cheongju Conference” held at Cheongju Castle in 1582 to decide on Nobunaga’s successor after his death in the Honnoji Incident and the distribution of his estate. The castle was renovated by his second son (Nobuo), who became the lord of Cheongju Castle.

 

Later, the lord of the castle shifted from the Oda family to Toyotomi Hidetsugu and Fukushima Masanori, and during the Battle of Sekigahara, which divided the country, the castle was an important military base as a frontline castle for the Eastern Army.

 

The center of Owari Province was originally Kiyosu, but the city was relocated from Kiyosu to Nagoya by order of Ieyasu Tokugawa from around 1612 (Keicho 17) to around 1616 (Genna 2). This is called Kiyosugoshi, but Kiyosu Castle was abandoned when Nagoya Castle was built, and its buildings and stonewalls were dismantled and used as materials for Nagoya Castle.

I did not know this, but it seems that the northwest corner turret that was moved to Nagoya Castle was a relic of Kiyosu Castle.

 

I have always been curious about Kiyosu Castle, which everyone has heard about at least once, and the other day I happened to pass by the castle and stopped by for a visit.

The weather was fine, so I was able to get some good photos.

 

 

 

The current keep is a mock-up of a reinforced concrete structure built in 1989 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the town organization of the former Kiyosu-cho, in the “Kiyosu Community Cultural Plaza” adjacent to the ruins of Kiyosu Castle, and although it is a replica, it is beautiful. This is a photo from the back of the castle tower, and although it is small, the stonewalls can be appreciated.

Inside the “Kuroki Shoin” and the “Performing Arts Room,” there are exhibits on the theme of “Kiyosu Castle and the Castle Town,” which gives a complete picture of the urban functions of the Kiyosu Castle area during the Warring States Period and the lives of the warriors under the command of Lord Nobunaga, etc. You can experience the whole picture of Kiyosu.

In the Kiyosu Old Castle Ruins Park, a part of the stone wall of the main castle, which was excavated during the revetment of the Gojo River, has been relocated and restored, and the garden is beautifully landscaped, allowing visitors to spend time at leisure.

 

Now we went around to the front side.

 

 

 

The red bridge across the Gojo River in front of the castle tower is called Ote Bridge.

The angle from here is actually a good spot to take pictures with the bridge. The reason for this is that, although the photo taken at this time of day does not show it at all, the bridge is lit by lantern-like streetlights at night, and there are rumors on Instagram, etc. that the photo may be the model for the “Aburaya” in “Spirited Away. Unfortunately, I could not try to take pictures until nighttime, so I went back home and searched on Instagram, etc. to see the “Aburaya” in “Spirited Away” to verify the rumors, but the resemblance was not that great.

However, the photo of the Ote Bridge and the lanterns (street lamps) lighting up the castle tower makes me feel as if I were Spirited Away, so if you are interested, please search and check it out.

 

The Gojo River, where this bridge crosses, is also famous for its wonderful cherry blossoms along its banks.
