先日金曜ロードショーで放送された「リメンバーミー」はご覧になりましたか？

 

私は初めて観たのですが、作中のカラフルな世界観がとても綺麗で色の組み合わせや死者の国の輝き方とか、色合いがすごく素敵でした。

実際に、この作品の舞台モデルとなったメキシコ・Guanajuato（グアナファト）は「世界で最もカラフルな街」として世界中で有名で、ビビットカラーの家々が立ち並び、「おとぎの国のよう」「おもちゃ箱をひっくり返したような街」とも言われているんです。

 

もっと詳しく、あのシーンが良かった！！などとお話したいところですが、ネタバレになってしまうといけないので、皆さま一度観てみてください。

 

 

今回、リメンバーミーを観た方はお気づきの方もいらっしゃるとは思いますが、作中で渡辺直美さんが日本語吹き替え版声優を務めました、物語の舞台となる「死者の国」で主人公・ミゲルが出会う芸術家フリーダ・カーロが出てきました。

彼女は「情熱の画家」と呼ばれ、鮮やかな自然や動物、濃く印象的な眉毛の自画像に見覚えのある方もいるのではないでしょうか。

また時代を切り拓いた革新的な女性の象徴として世界中の人々から愛される存在として知られていますよね。民族芸術の第一人者、セルフポートレイトの先駆者…画家として様々な顔を持つ彼女はまた、壮絶な人生を送った人物でもあります。

 

幼少の頃、交通事故で生死をさまよう大怪我を負い、３か月の間ベットでの生活を余儀なくされ、痛みと孤独に耐える毎日を送っていました。

彼女の作品を象徴するセルフポートレイト作品はこのころから描かれます。ベットに寝そべり、鏡に映る自分自身を描く制作スタイルが彼女のアイデンティティを形成したとも言われています。

波乱万丈な人生を歩むとともに、様々な主題に取り組んだフリーダの作品は民族芸術やフェミニン・アート、シュルレアリスムなど多方面で高く評価されています。

 

私も初めてフリーダ・カーロの作品を見たとき、とても衝撃的だったことを覚えています。

ですが、その作品の背景や解説などを調べると、その作品の魅力にハマってしまいました。

 

ひとつの映画から、芸術を知り、また芸術家の生い立ちや背景をを知ると、気持ちが強く伝わってきて時間も忘れて調べ始めてしまいます..

I’m sure some of you may have noticed this time, but Naomi Watanabe acted as the voice actor for the Japanese version of the story, the main character in the story’s “Country of the Dead”.・ The artist Frida Kahlo, whom Miguel meets, has appeared.

Called a “passionate painter,” she may be familiar with the vibrant nature, animals, and self-portraits of her dark and striking eyebrows.

It is also known as a symbol of innovative women who pioneered the times and is loved by people all over the world. A leading figure in folk art, a pioneer of self-portraits … With various faces as a painter, she is also a person who has lived a spectacular life.

When he was a child, he was seriously injured in a car accident and was forced to live in bed for three months, spending every day enduring pain and loneliness.

Self-portrait works that symbolize her work will be drawn from around this time. It is said that her production style of lying on the bed and drawing herself in the mirror formed her identity.

Frida’s works, which have lived a turbulent life and tackled various themes, are highly regarded in various fields such as folk art, feminine art, and surrealism.

 

I remember being very shocked when I first saw Frida Kahlo’s work. However, when I looked up the background and commentary of the work, I fell in love with the work.

If you know the art from one movie, and also the background and background of the artist, you will feel strongly and forget the time and start to investigate.

This is a work of Japanese Western-style painter “Seiji Togo”. What did you first imagine when you saw this work? I will tell you again in the next blog.
