神社好きスタッフｍは、先日『津島神社』に行って参りました。

 

 

津島神社は、愛知県津島市にあり除疫、授福の神である牛頭天王信仰の中心社で、かつては「津島牛頭天王社（つしまごずてんのうしゃ）」と称されていました。

540年、欽明（きんめい）天皇元年の鎮座と伝えられており、1470余年もの歴史を誇ります。

御祭神は建速須佐之男命（たけはやすさのおのみこと）。

御相殿には建速須佐之男命の御子・大穴牟遅命（おおなむちのみこと）がお祀りされています。

京都の八坂神社と並ぶ天王社として崇められ、全国に3000以上点在する津島神社の総本社でもあります。

「尾張津島天王祭」という大祭でも有名で、日本三大川祭りの一つに数えられます。

尾張の夏の夜の風物詩となるこちらの御祭は、天王川にまきわら船が浮かぶのですが、そこにはおびただしい数の提灯が灯され、灯と水の織り成す幻想的な情景は時代絵巻そのものです。

 

そんな素敵な津島神社で先日は、11月の風物詩である「菊花展」を開催されていました。

偶然でしたが、せっかくなので拝見させていただきました。

菊と一言でいっても種類がたくさんありまして、思わず見入ってしまいました。

オードックスなものから、花火のようなもの、花びらが反っているものなど、本当に様々です。

愛知県は菊の生産量が全国１位ですが、その県で行われる菊花展ですのでそれはそれは圧巻です。

It is revered as a Tenno shrine along with Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto, and is also the head office of Tsushima Shrine, which is scattered all over the country.

It is also famous for the “Owari Tsushima Tenno Matsuri” festival, and is one of the three major river festivals in Japan.

At this festival, which is a feature of Owari’s summer nights, a Makiwara boat floats on the Tenno River, but numerous lanterns are lit there, and the fantastic scenery of the lights and water is the period picture scroll itself. is.

 

The other day, at such a wonderful Tsushima Shrine, the “Kikuhana Exhibition”, which is a tradition of November, was held.

It was a coincidence, but I took a look at it because it was a big deal.

There are many types of chrysanthemums, and I was surprised to see them.

There are a lot of things, from audible things to things like fireworks and things with warped petals.

Aichi Prefecture has the highest production of chrysanthemums in Japan, but it is a masterpiece because it is a chrysanthemum flower exhibition held in that prefecture.
