冷たい雨がしとしとと降る肌寒い名古屋。３連休前の金曜日いかがお過ごしでしょうか。

 

私は季節の変わり目と低気圧とで、体がどんと重く、寒暖差アレルギー疑惑です。

でもまだ疑惑ですので、そんなブルーな気持ちを晴らすためにも、出勤後すぐお店の掃除開始。

（以前のブログでも雨の日はお掃除するのに丁度良いいお話もさせていただきましたよね～。）

床掃除や、棚の整理など集中していると、いつのまにか頭が痛いこと、体が重いことなど忘れて、すっきりした気持ちになっていました。

今日は一日雨の予報ですので、午後は温かいコーヒーでも飲みながら、古美術のお勉強をしたいと思います。

 

 

さて、先日覚王山・日泰寺にて「日・タイ文化フェスティバル２０２２」が開催されました。

なんといっても私、大のエスニック料理好きでして、東南アジア大好きなのです。

タイ料理やベトナム料理など食べに行きますと、パクチーマシマシにして、むしゃむしゃ食べてしまうほど…。

パクチーって好き嫌い分かれると思うのですが、皆さまはどうでしょうか。パクチーマシマシ派ですか？

 

そんな日本とタイ、食と文化のスペシャル競演ということで、これは行くしかない！！ですよね。

 

 

・・・はい。行ってきました。

もう日泰寺に到着するとあの懐かしい香りが…。新型コロナウイルスが流行する前、最後の旅行もベトナムでした。

 

そもそも覚王山・日泰寺の説明から始めると、タイ「シャム国」国王から寄贈された釈迦の舎利（遺骨）をまつるため、明治３７年（１９０４年）建立された日本唯一の超宗派の国際的寺院です。

山号は釈迦を表わす、”覚王”寺号は日タイの友好を願い”日泰寺”と名付けられ、ガンダーラ式宗安塔は、全国でもまれな一大石造塔なのです。

開門時間は５時～１７時、また本堂内の納経所にて御朱印帳に御朱印を書いていただくこともできます。（こちらの受付時間は９時～１４時までとなります）

 

いつもは静寂な日泰寺ですが、タイフェス開催時はかなり賑わっていて、２日間で２万人以上の方が来場されたとか。

飲食ブース、物販情報ブース、リラクゼーションブースや座禅体験なども行われていました。

本堂でお参りしたあと、まずは飲食ブースに移動、トムヤムクンや、パッタイ、カオマンガイやガパオライスなど大好きな物ばかりで全部食べたかったのですが、候補を絞ってトムヤムクン、パッタイなどいただきました。

トムヤムクンは辛さ控えめで食べやすく、とっても美味、パッタイも美味しく完食。

またタイの方もたくさん来ていて、「サワディカー」とタイ語が聞こえてきて、タイにいるかのような感じで楽しかったです。

 

たくさんの魅力溢れる覚王山、今回は日タイフェスでしたが、定期的に縁日など開かれているようなので皆さまも是非機会があれば行ってみてください。

Hello everyone. This is staff M.

It’s chilly in Nagoya with the cold rain pouring down. How are you spending the Friday before the three-day weekend? My body is heavy due to the change of season and low pressure, and I suspect that I am allergic to temperature differences.

 

But I’m still skeptical, so I started cleaning the shop as soon as I got to work, in order to clear up such a blue feeling. (In my previous blog, I also talked about how good it is to clean up on rainy days.) When I was concentrating on cleaning the floor and organizing the shelves, I suddenly forgot that my head was hurting and that my body was heavy, and I felt refreshed. It’s forecast to rain all day today, so I’d like to study antiques while drinking hot coffee in the afternoon.

 

By the way, the other day, the “Japan-Thai Culture Festival 2022” was held at Kakuozan Nittaiji Temple. After all, I am a big fan of ethnic food, and I love Southeast Asia. When I go out to eat Thai or Vietnamese food, I end up munching on coriander. I think that cilantro is divided into likes and dislikes, but what about everyone? Are you a coriander? This is a special competition between Japan and Thailand, food and culture, so I have no choice but to go! ! Isn’t it?

···yes. I went. When I arrived at Nittaiji Temple, I could smell that nostalgic scent. Before the outbreak of the new coronavirus, my last trip was also to Vietnam.

 

Kakuozan Nittaiji Temple is the only temple in Japan that was established in 1904 as an international temple of a cross-sect, in order to enshrine the relics (remains) of the Buddha donated by the King of Siam, Thailand. It’s a temple. The name of the mountain represents Buddha, and the name of the temple is “Kakuo”, which was named “Nittaiji” in hopes of friendship between Japan and Thailand. The gate is open from 5:00 to 17:00, and you can also write your goshuin in the goshuincho at the stamp office in the main hall. (Reception hours are from 9:00 to 14:00)

 

Nittaiji Temple is usually quiet, but it was quite lively when the Thai Festival was held, with more than 20,000 people visiting over the two days. Eating and drinking booths, product sales information booths, relaxation booths, and Zen meditation experiences were also held. After visiting the main hall, I first moved to the eating and drinking booth, and I wanted to eat all of my favorite things such as Tom Yum Goong, Pad Thai, Khao Man Gai and Gapao Rice, but I narrowed down the candidates and had Tom Yum Goong and Pad Thai. Tom Yum Kung is moderately spicy and easy to eat, very delicious, Pad Thai is also delicious and complete. Also, there were many Thai people who came, and I could hear Thai saying “Sawasdika”, and it felt like I was in Thailand and it was fun.

 

Kakuozan is full of charm, and this time it was the Japan-Thai Festival, but it seems that fairs and other events are held regularly, so if you have the chance, please visit. In that case, we would appreciate it if you could stop by “Antique Fukosha Nagoya store”.
