こんにちは。スタッフｍです。先日、名古屋市栄に出掛けた時に、「金シャチ」を見てきました。

名古屋で金シャチといえば、名古屋城の天守閣の上に君臨する、キンキラキンの一対のシャチホコです。どんなに遠くからみても太陽の光をうけてキラキラと輝く姿は立派で、名古屋のシンボルとして全国的にも有名ですよね。

でもその金シャチが、今だけ地上に降りてきているんです！現在、名古屋市栄の三越前のヒロバスで『名古屋城金シャチ特別展覧』というのが開催されています。4月10日から7月11日の３ヶ月限定で、名古屋城の金シャチが疫病退散と復興への道に導くシンボルとして、地上に降臨しています。

以前、ヘリコプターで屋根の上から地上に金シャチを運んでいた場面をニュースで見て度肝を抜かれました。だってヘリコプターで降ろすなんて予想だにしていないことでしたし、そのような方法は一度も見たことがなかったからです。その時から、私の気持ちは「絶対にこれは見に行かなくては！」の一択でした。でもなかなか機会に恵まれずにいました。そして気づくと6月の末。もうすぐ終わってしまう時期です。こんな間近で見られるのは生きているうちにあるかどうか？と思ったら、もう行くしかないですよね。

 

 

日曜の昼下がりでしたが、屋外の展覧会場はそこまで混雑していませんでした。息子と二人で１０００円の入場チケットを買い、一歩足を踏み入れると、そこには眩いかぎりの一対のシャチホコが…。それは予想以上に大きくてかなり驚きました。屋根の上にそびえる時に、遠くから見ても光輝くのが分かるくらいですから、やはりこれほどの大きさがないといけませんよね。

中ではルートが二つに別れ、金シャチに触るコースか、見るだけのコースかを選びます。私は、迷わず触れるコースを選びました。そちらはすこし並びますが、そんなのは気にならないくらい、目は金シャチにくぎ付けです。そして私の順番が来ました。

なんて神々しいんでしょう。ハガキくらいの厚さの１８金を全面に使用しているだけあって、なんというかシャチホコから出る圧がすごいんです。名古屋のシンボルを背負っている気概を感じさせてくれました。触れている時間はほんの数秒ではありましたが、その一瞬に流れるエネルギーたるや、すごいの一言です。（語彙力の無さはご勘弁を…。）

’’戦火で焼失した名古屋城が再建されたのは1959年。その後、金シャチが地上に降り立ったのは、1984年の名古屋城博、愛・地球博が開催された2005年の新世紀・名古屋城博。今回は3度目、16年ぶりとなります。

過去2回は城名での展示でしたが、本展では2体の金シャチが3か月間にわたって名古屋城を離れることになります。初代金シャチも含めて、約150年ぶりの城外での長期展示です。’’

Hello. It is staff m. The other day, when I went to Sakae, Nagoya, I saw “Kinshachi”.

Kinshachi in Nagoya is a pair of Kinkirakin’s shachihoko that reigns over the castle tower of Nagoya Castle. No matter how far you look at it, it’s brilliantly shining in the sunlight, and it’s famous nationwide as a symbol of Nagoya.

But that gold killer whale is just coming down to the ground! Currently, the “Nagoya Castle Kinshachi Special Exhibition” is being held at the Hirobus in front of Mitsukoshi in Sakae, Nagoya. For three months from April 10th to July 11th, the golden killer whale of Nagoya Castle has descended to the ground as a symbol that will lead the way to the end of the plague and reconstruction.

I was amazed to see the news about a helicopter carrying a gold killer whale from the roof to the ground. Because I didn’t expect it to be dropped off by helicopter, and I’ve never seen such a method. From that time on, my feelings were “I definitely have to go see this!” But I wasn’t blessed with the opportunity. And when I noticed it, it was the end of June. It’s almost over. Is it possible to see this up close while alive? If you think about it, you have no choice but to go.

It was early Sunday afternoon, but the outdoor exhibition hall wasn’t that crowded. I bought an admission ticket for 1000 yen with my son, and when I stepped in, there was a pair of dazzling prominent moths … It was bigger than I expected and I was quite surprised. When it rises on the roof, you can see it shining even from a distance, so it must be this big.

The route is divided into two, and you can choose between a course where you can touch the gold killer whale or a course where you can just see it. I chose a course that I could touch without hesitation. There are a few lines, but the eyes are glued to the gold killer whale so much that it doesn’t bother me. And it was my turn.

How divine! The pressure from the shachihoko is amazing because it uses 18K gold, which is about the thickness of a postcard. It made me feel the spirit of carrying the symbol of Nagoya. The time I was touching was only a few seconds, but the energy that flows in that moment is a great word. (Please forgive me for my lack of vocabulary …)

It was in 1959 that Nagoya Castle, which was burnt down in the war, was rebuilt. After that, Kinshachi landed on the ground at the Nagoya Castle Expo in 1984 and the New Century Nagoya Castle Expo in 2005 when the Aichi Expo 2005 was held. This is the third time in 16 years.

The past two exhibitions were under the name of the castle, but in this exhibition, two Kinshachi will leave Nagoya Castle for three months. This is a long-term exhibition outside the castle for the first time in about 150 years, including the first gold killer whale. “”
