スタッフYです。本来は珈琲がすきなのですが、ここのところ違うお茶にチャレンジしています。

今日は、紅茶にしてみました。

なぜ、紅茶にチャレンジしているのかと申しますと、日本生理人類学という学会の論文にて紅茶の香りが

女性の睡眠の質を高めることが明らかになったとのこと。

睡眠の質が良くない自覚がある健常な女性20名を対象に選出し、試験品は、紅茶の香り

（ダージリン紅茶の芳香蒸留水：アロマウォーター）とプラセボに水を用いての実験。

被験者の自宅寝室にて、超音波式ディフューザーを用いて、就寝時に紅茶の香りを揮散させる期間と水を

揮散させる期間の各1週間実施したそうです。

実験結果によると、なんと被検者の平均入眠時間が平均30分が15分以下となっており、睡眠時間も平均30分増えているとのこと。

とまぁ、こんな具合でスタッフYの人体実験が始まりました。

 

 

寝る前に紅茶の香りをかげばよいとのことですが、一旦紅茶派にシフトしてしまいますと、日中も紅茶生活になってしまった次第です。

最近いただいているのは、日本で生産された紅茶。

味覚を文章に落とし込むのは非常に難しいのですが、すっきりとした喉越しで、この紅茶のお里は日本だよねと、わかります。

日本茶の茶葉の記憶が私に沁みついているからでしょうかね、抵抗なく好きでした。

 

日本人と紅茶の出会いは、天皇でも将軍でもなく、意外なことに伊勢の船頭『大黒屋光太夫』という方。

1782年（天明２）12月、伊勢の白子浜（鈴鹿市）の出港し、江戸を目指していたのですが、駿河沖で暴風雨に遭遇し、

ロシアアラスカにある島に漂着します。その時の船積みの荷物が雛人形や、錦の衣装、陶器、金銀の品々だったため、

また、当時ロシアの船長や航海士は上流階級だったため、光太夫も身分ある行商人と誤解されたようです。

来賓待遇だったとか笑。

そこになんと、エカテリーナ二世に日本に帰る直訴ができるチャンスが到来、女帝も何度も光太夫を宮中へ招待して、

光太夫は日本について語ることがあったとか。後に、花柄の描かれたティーカップや＆ソーサ―で紅茶でのおもてなしを

受けたとの報告が残っております。

光太夫さん、高価な船積みの荷物のお陰ですごく貴重な体験をされましたね。

 

というわけで、店主から早々にいただきましたホワイトデーのお菓子（ありがとうございます）と共に、

人体実験いやいや、おいしくお菓子と紅茶いただきます。
