昨日、久しぶりにボルダリングに行って参りました。

 

 

ボルダリングとは、クライミングの一種で、最低限の道具で岩や人工の壁面などを登るスポーツでございます。

 

「岩の塊」「大きい丸い岩」を意味する英語が語源だそうです。

 

なので腕が今パンパンの筋肉痛なのです。

 

今朝もお店のシャッターやペットボトルを開けるのに一苦労致しました。

 

初めてボルダリングをした知人は「楽しいけど腕が痛すぎてもうしたくない」と言っておりました。

 

きっと、この筋肉痛を乗り越えて楽しさが勝った人が通うのでしょうね。

 

Nはこの腕の痛みを忘れたころにまた上って、思い出すのを繰り返しております。

 

 

常連さんや店員さんはいとも簡単にひょいひょい登っていくので、簡単そうに見えるのですが、次にどこに足をのせたらいいのか、手をどうしたらいいのかわからずにパニックになります。

 

店員さんにいたっては、壁にしるしやシールを貼るために登らなければならないので、その作業がとても大変そうでした。

 

クライミングと言えば、興行収入は2100万ドルの第91回アカデミー賞長編ドキュメンタリー映画賞を含む多数の賞を獲得した「フリーソロ」というドキュメント映画を思い出します。

 

 

ロッククライマーであるアレックス・オノルドの2017年6月のエル・キャピタンへのフリーソロ・クライミングでの挑戦の様子がまとめられております。

 

アレックスには現在は妻と子供がいるのですが、夫がいつしぬかわからない状態で待ち続けるのは、心臓がいくつあっても足りないですよね。

 

先日もクレイジージャーニーの人類未踏の洞窟探検をしている男性の特集をしていたのですが、「妻はこんな危険なことしてるなんて知らないです。あはは」と笑っていて、驚きました。

 

確かに、心配になるので知らない方がいいこともあるかもしれません。

 

何回も観たいけど、もう見たくないというほど手に汗握る思いを致しました。

 

あれほど緊張してみたドキュメンタリー映画はありません。

 

ボルダリングと骨董を結びつけるものは無いかと考えたところ、石皿が出てきました。

 

石皿（いしざら、英:Metateまたはmealing stone）とは、皿型の磨製石器で穀物や木の実を磨り潰す目的で使用されたと考えられる道具の一つでございます。

 

日本や中国を含め世界各地で発見されており、北中米では「メタテ」との名称で呼ばれるそうです。

 

 

石皿の上にクルミなどの木の実をのせ、たたき石で割ります。

 

たたき石は使っているうちにくぼんできます。

磨石で木の実などを磨りつぶします。

磨石は使っているうちに表面がツルツルになっていきます。

 

素材は主に安山岩や砂岩など転石や河原石の石核を素材にする場合が多いです。

 

定住化の普及した縄文時代全期を通じて出土し、特に早期以降の集落遺跡で多く出土致します。

The regulars and staff climb up the stairs so easily that it looks easy, but I panic because I don’t know where to put my feet or what to do with my hands.

 

As for the store clerk, he had to climb up to put a sign or sticker on the wall, so the work seemed to be very difficult.

 

Speaking of climbing, I’m reminded of the documentary film “Free Solo,” which won numerous awards, including the 91st Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature, which grossed $21 million at the box office.
