皆さま、こんにちは。あたたかな春の日、いかがお過ごしですか。

今日は春分の日ですね。

春分の日には、昼と夜がほぼ同じ長さとなるそうです。夜が長かった冬を越し、これからはだんだんと日が長くなっていくんですね。やったー

春分の日も迎え、春到来といった感じがします。タンポポを持って歩く子どもの姿を見かけました。

春の訪れは大きく分けて、三つの段階に分けることができるそうです。まず一番初めに訪れるのは「光の春」。

確かに、冬から春へ変わる頃には、徐々に晴れた日が増えて、太陽の光を感じられるようになりますね。だいたい二月頃の陽気を光の春と呼ぶそうです。このころ、冬眠から目覚める生き物も多いですよね。

次に訪れるのは「音の春」です。だいたい三月に、音の春は訪れるそうです。

確かに、春分の日でもある今日は、「雀始巣」と、雀たちが巣を作り出す頃でもあります。街では雀の鳴き声や、鶯の鳴き声も聞くことができますね。また、雪が降る地方では、雪解けの音も聞こえてくる頃なのではないでしょうか。

そして、最後に訪れるのは「気温の春」です。気温の春が訪れるのはだいたい四月頃と言われています。一気に気温が上がり、あたたかな日が続きます。気温の春へは、あともう少しといったところでしょうか。

ところで、雀始巣とも言いますが、雀の巣ってあまり見たことがありませんよね。雀自体は街中で見ることも多いのですが。

雀は巣を、人の身長よりも高い場所に作ることが多いそうです。また、どんなに小さな隙間や穴にも潜り込み、巣を作るので探すのは容易ではないそうです…　いつか偶然に見つけてみたいものですね。

春分の日は、「自然をたたえ、生物をいつくしむ」と目的が定められているようです。

皆さまもぜひ、窓を開けて鳥の鳴き声に耳を澄ませてみたり、身の周りの自然を今一度、意識してみてはいかがでしょうか。

”絶景美術館”ナンバーワン、島根県の『足立美術館』をつぶやきます。

こちらの庭園は１８年連続日本一にも選ばれているので、遠方の方でも訪れている方は多いと思います。

四季ごとに絵画のような庭園を堪能していらっしゃる方_羨ましいです。

先月、フランスの旅行ガイドブック「ミシュラン・グリーンガイド・ジャポン」において、足立美術館の日本庭園が、山陰エリアで唯一となる最高評価の”三つ星”として掲載されたとの記事がありました。

三つ星は[わざわざ旅行する価値がある]という評価です。

世界に誇れる最も有名な日本庭園はこちらということになりますね。

時が経つのを忘れたければ、まずはここでしょう…とスタッフI も思います。

最近人気の傾向として、名品を収蔵しているだけではなく、展示作品以外に建築や庭園、風景なども重要視した美術館が多いように思われます。

敷地に足を踏み入れた途端、心ときめき穏やかになるあの感覚は大事ですよね。

多角的な魅力を秘めた空間は本当に心が解き放たれ、静寂な時間に贅沢を感じられます。

足立美術館では専属の庭師さん達が毎朝のチェックで、どんなちっぽけなゴミや異変も見逃さないという徹底ぶりをテレビで見たことがあります。

５万坪にもおよぶ日本庭園は実に多様なことでも有名です。

もちろん実際には及ばないと思いますが、完璧に整えられた主庭「枯山水庭」を珈琲を飲みながらおうちで見るのも今ならではの楽しみ方でいいかもしれません。

先日、古美術風光舎名古屋店のあります愛知県、いよいよ桜の開花宣言を致しました。

このところ、一気に春めいてきて桜のみならずいろいろな花や木が目を覚ましましたね。街にはモクレン、ユキヤナギ、ジンチョウゲ、ボケ、ミモザ、スイセン、コブシ、そしてサクラなどなど。これ、スタッフＹが、今朝の出勤途中に見た木々の花です。何故か、我が家のご近所さんのサクラはソメイヨシノではないのでしょうか、もう見頃といわんばかり咲いていました。

愛知県に来て、桜の名所なるものを追っかけたことはないのですが、愛知県で有名な桜のスポットとして、ご紹介しますと

岡崎公園（岡崎市　ソメイヨシノ800本、圧巻です。）

名古屋城（名古屋市　名古屋城と桜が一緒に鑑賞できます）

鶴舞公園(名古屋市昭和区　750本のソメイヨシノが）

乙川の桜並木（岡崎市　濃いピンクの葵桜の見事な桜並木）

五条川の桜並木（犬山市　五条川に覆いかぶさるように咲き誇ります）

犬山城(犬山市　現存城好きには桜とのコラボたまりません）

そして、古美術風光舎名古屋店のご近所の東山公園や山崎川や徳川園なども桜の名所です。

こと、岡崎公園のサクラは徳川家康公が生まれた岡崎城跡を整備した公園で、復元された3層5階の天守閣がそびえています。園内にある桜は主にソメイヨシノで、岡崎公園とその周辺に約800本の桜が咲き誇ります。桜の大きな古木も多く圧巻。

この環境下もあり、今年は残念ながら、訪れることは控えようかなと思っているのですが、もとより人混みが苦手。実は、いつも違う桜の楽しみ方をしています。それは、『誰も知らない桜スポット探し』。

別に、1本の桜の木でもいいんです。この場所で、この時期に、この桜の木を見るのが、楽しみだなぁという桜のスポットを見つけるんです。

私の『誰も知らない桜スポット』は、自宅近くの公園のような丘のようなところに咲く丘の上の桜。桜の季節といっても、そこに訪れるのは、お弁当をもって子供さんと遊びに来るご近所さんくらいでしょうか。教えたいのですが、うーん内緒にしておきますね。スタッフY調べによりますと、きっと来週あたりに見頃がくるのではないかとふんでします。

今年は、そこでポットに用意した珈琲をいただくと企んでいますが、さていつ決行となるでしょうか。

For some reason, the cherry blossoms in my neighborhood are probably Yoshino cherry trees, and they are already in full bloom.

I have never come to Aichi prefecture and chased the famous cherry blossom spots, but I would like to introduce it as a famous cherry blossom spot in Aichi prefecture.

My “Sakura spot that nobody knows” is the cherry blossoms on the hill that bloom in a park-like place near my house. Even though it’s the cherry blossom season, the only people who visit there are neighbors who come to play with their children with their lunch boxes. I’d like to tell you, but I’ll keep it a secret. According to Staff Y’s research, I’m sure the best time to see it will come around next week. This year, I’m planning to have the coffee prepared in the pot there, but will it be decided at any moment?

三月も中旬にさしかかり、彼岸桜が美しく咲きはじめましたね。

彼岸桜の花言葉は「独立」と言われています。他の桜とは異なる開花時期でありながらも、気高く美しく咲いていることからこのような花言葉が生まれたそうです。

今日三月十七日は、横光利一の誕生日です。

横光利一は、大正時代から昭和時代にかけて活躍した小説家です。

菊池寛（この間もブログに登場しましたね！芥川賞と直木賞の設立者であり、著名な小説家でもあった彼は、多くの人に慕われていたんですね…）に師事した彼は、川端康成とともに新感覚派を牽引しました。小説の神様と称されていたこともあるそうです。

新感覚派とは、これまでの文学のあり方に反対し、感覚的な新しいものを追い求めた作家たちのグループです。擬人法や暗喩を多く用いた、感覚的な文体が特徴です。

皆さまは、横光利一の短編小説『蠅』をお読みになったことはありますか。

彼の文壇出世作ともなった作品で、新感覚派の中心ともされています。

蠅の眼を通した眼下の人々の様子が、まるで映像のように描きだされています。ラストにおいては、多くの解釈が生まれ、当時の人々も賛否両論だったそうです。蠅の視点を提示することで、作者は何を伝えたかったのでしょうか。

現代の私たちも人によって異なる、さまざまな印象を受けると思います。ぜひ読んでみてください。

（個人的に好きな「裏切りのサーカス」の脚本家ピーター・ストローハンということで楽しみに観ました。）

ざっくりですが、オランダ画家のカレル・ファブリティウスの名画『ゴシキヒワ』を巡る物語です。

この映画にも素敵なアンティークショップが登場していました。

本日のセイコー社の置時計はこのお店にぴったりはまる！

アンティークのよさは、このお品は元のご主人のそばで何を見てきたのだろうと想像を巡らせるところ。

海外渡航がまだまだ辛抱で、大分うずうずが溜まってきた季節の変わり目。

みなさま、こんにちは。スタッフYです。

昨晩、NHKにて東大寺二月堂の修二会の放映をしておりましたね。

炎と闇の秘儀、素晴らしかったですね。撮影用のライトは一切使用せず、暗闇にともる炎のみの暗めの映像がとてもよかったんです。どうせなら自分も炎と闇に包まれようと、リビングの照明を全部消して、TV越しに修二会の体験をしました。

お恥ずかしながら、修二会のことはあまり知らずにここまで生きておりました。二月堂から、お松明の火の粉が降ってくる様子しかイメージがなく、お恥ずかしい限りです。今年は、一般の方が訪れることができないとのことでしたが、NHKでその儀式の間近に迫る映像の放映が、初心者に優しい解説付きで、私のような者にはとてもありがたかったです。

一つのおこされた神聖な炎を分け継ぎながら、やがてお松明となり、40キロのお松明を持つ童子らが火の粉のを降りかざしながら回廊を走る姿は圧巻。「やけどは大丈夫か?!」などと私のように、品のないことを口走ってはいけません。映像でなければ見れない間近の『お松明』の火の粉を浴びたような迫力に身の引き締まる思いでした。

ところで、14日間もある修二会の儀式のなかで、『走り』という、儀式があることをスタッフY、初めて知ったのですが、ご存知だったでしょうか。二月堂の本尊であられます十一面間観音像（絶対秘仏）の周りを最初11人の童子たちがぐるぐるとまわりはじめ、やがて童子がだんだんと減っていき、最後は二人の童子が走り出すという儀式。これは、兜率天の１日（人間世界の４００年）に少しでも近づき追いつく為の儀式のようです。静かな暗闇と炎の世界の中、童子が次々に走る姿が映し出され、どこを切り取っても神聖な絵のようでした。また、儀式の中で発するお言葉や動作や儀式そのものが中国から伝わった仏教儀式の流れを汲んでいるのでしょうね、どことなく大陸を意識させられます。1270年前からの儀式ですので、その流れが色濃くのこっているのは、確か。修二会の儀式一つ一つに、1270年前へ時間旅行をした錯覚に陥ります。本当に、貴重な儀式ですね。

今年は、お水取りの儀式は中止となりましたが、こうして儀式を間近に静かで厳かな映像を見れたことは、それはそれでよかったと思うことにしました。

Last night, you were broadcasting the Shuni-e of Todaiji Nigatsudo on NHK

The mystery of fire and darkness was wonderful. I didn’t use any shooting lights, and I really liked the dark image of only the flames that accompany the darkness. In any case, I turned off all the lights in the living room and experienced the Shuni-e through the TV, so that I could be surrounded by flames and darkness.

I’m ashamed to say that I lived up to this point without knowing much about the Shuni-e. I can only imagine the sparks of torches falling from Nigatsudo, which is embarrassing. It was said that the general public could not visit this year, but NHK aired a video of the ritual approaching, with commentary that was kind to beginners, and I was very grateful to someone like me.

While sharing one sacred flame, it eventually became a torch, and the sight of children with 40 kilograms of torches running down the corridor while hanging down the sparks is a masterpiece. The upcoming “Omatsuaki” ritual, which can only be seen in the video, was projected on the flames. Staff Y first learned that there was a ritual called “running” during the 14‐day Shuni-e ritual, but did you know that? At first, 11 children started to go around the eleven-faced Kannon statue (absolutely secret Buddha), which is the principal image of Nigatsudo, and then the number of children gradually decreased, and finally the two children started running. The ritual. This seems to be a ritual to get closer and catch up with Tushita’s day (400 years in the human world). The ritual projected as a child running only with flames in the quiet darkness was like a sacred picture no matter where it was cut. Also, each of the words and actions that are uttered in the ritual may be drawn from the flow of Buddhist rituals transmitted from China, which makes me somehow conscious of the continent. It’s a ritual from 1270 years ago, so it seems that the flow is strong. Each Shuni-e ritual is packed with time travel 1270 years ago.

This year, the water removal ritual was canceled, but I was happy to see the quiet and solemn footage of the ritual up close.

修二会の行事は、東大寺が建立された約1270年前から続いています。東大寺の長い歴史にあって、二度までもその大伽藍の大半が失われてしまった時ですら、修二会だけは「不退の行法」として、1270余年もの間一度も絶えることなく、連綿と今日に至るまで引き継がれてきたと言われています。1270年の間には、疫病や飢饉、そして災害もあったでしょう。また、戦いの世もあったでしょう。どんな時代にも続けてきた先人のたくましさを思うと、昨今の緊急事態なんて、きっと自分たちも乗り越えられるに違いないと思いながら、暗いリビングで炎をみつめていました。

というわけで、スタッフYのやりたいことリストにまた一つ「修二会の儀式に訪れる」が加わりました。

The Shuni-e event has been going on since about 1270 years before Todaiji was built. In the long history of Todaiji Temple, even when most of the large cathedral has been lost twice, the Shuni-e is the only “unrelenting practice” that has never stopped for more than 1270 years. みなさまこんにちは。今日は、スタッフYの趣味の話に少しだけお付き合いください。

先日、長年お知り合いのピアニストの方のリサイタルへ、行かせていただきました。

ここ一年くらい、直に会場で音楽を聴いたり、イベントに参加したりがなかったせいか、久しぶりのホールで聴く生のピアノの音色が、全身に沁みました。本物の音色がやっぱりいいいなぁとあらためて感動。そして、会場での久しぶりのお友達や知り合いの方々との再会。色々な意味で、こういう場面てやっぱりいいなぁと、またまた感動しました。このところ、パソコンや携帯の画面や、スピーカー越ごしの生活に少しずづ慣れよう慣れようと言い聞かせて、少し慣れてきたような気がしていた昨今ですが、広いホールで生のピアノの音色を何も介さない本物の音を聴き、いや、体感ですね体感すると、

「やっぱりこれよ。こうでなくっちゃ。」と、私、納得してしまいました。

それもそのはず、その日のプログラムは、私の大好きなラフマニノフの『楽興の時第3番、4番』が入っておりまして、ピアニストのI先生（なんで、私の聴きたかった曲がわかったのかな？）と、心の中で呟いてました。

ラフマニノフというと、みなさんきっと浅田真央さんのバンクーバーオリンピックで使われた曲『前奏曲　嬰ハ短調』、別名『鐘』は作品の中ではとても有名な曲ですのでご存知ですよね。

『楽興の時』は全6曲からなる楽曲ですが、『鐘』同様、ロシア出身の彼らしいどこか哀愁のある旋律でして、ことに、4番は是非本物のピアノで直に聞いてほしい1曲です。何度も迫りくる荒々しい波のように何度も押し寄せてくる左手の動きが、『こんなの弾けるわけないわよ！』といった、お家事情がバレないようになるまで相当弾きこまなくてはならないし、あくまでも主役は右手のメロディ。その美しい波の中から湧き上ってくる右手のメッセージを体感してほしいです。

私的には『鐘』よりしびれます。

Especially, No. 4 is one song that I really want you to listen to directly on a real piano.
