本日も、ここ名古屋も熱中症警戒アラートが。昔とは暑さのレベルがこのところ違ってきていますが、昔は、あんなに夏休みを楽しみにしていたのに、暑いのがいいか寒いのがいいかといわれると、今の自分は暑いのはちょっと…。と、なってきております。このところの、暑さが苦手になった方、皆さまどのように夏をのりきっているのでしょうか。何かしらアイディアをいただきたいものです。

 

と、暑さの真っただ中、やる気も体力も奪われ、いかがなものかとここ最近げんなりしてきた今日この頃ですが、それよりも、ここ最近、夏の蚊などの虫対策が気になり始めました。セミの鳴き声、台風、湿気、外注対策と日本の夏は、本当にいろいろ厳しい…。

 

そんな中、このとことろ、香りで虫の対策をするグッズがいろいろでまわってきておりますよね。

ドラッグストアで、購入できる虫よけも結局は香りに由来するのですが、ここ最近の、少しでも夏を快適に乗り切る方法として、アロマでの虫よけ対策を試してみました。少しお話しましょう。

 

アロマによる虫対策ですが、なにがよいのかと申しますと、ドラッグストアの虫よけと香りによる効果であることは同じではあります。が、心地よい香りにさらに、嫌な害虫をブロックできるという一石二鳥が、うれしいポイント。

 

どんなアロマが虫除けに使えるのか、虫が嫌う香りとして有名なアロマをピックアップしてみますね。

 

多くはこれらの精油とよばれるオイルでブレンドし(詳細は割愛いたします）、それらを希釈してスプレーで使用したりしますが、意外と直接使用するとかぶれたりも心配ですので、デリケートなお肌に使うものは市販の物、掃除に使うのは手作りものと使い分けるとよいとのことです。

また、それらの植物を育てている方は、それらを乾燥して使用して、そのまま置いておいてもよいようです。が、ペパーミントなどは少量で香りも強く刺激も強いので使用の際は、少量でも大丈夫そうですね。

 

あくまでも、このようなアロマの香りを身にまとうことで虫を遠ざけ、刺されにくくすることができるということでこうしたアロマを使った虫除けには「殺虫」効果はありません。あくまでも目的は「防虫」。虫を寄せ付けないための対策ということをお忘れなく。

Meanwhile, there are various goods that use scents to prevent insects.

Insect repellents that can be purchased at drug stores are ultimately derived from the scent, but recently, as a way to survive the summer comfortably, I tried aromatherapy insect repellent measures. Let’s talk a little.

 

It is a countermeasure against insects by aroma, but what is good is that it is the same effect by insect repellent and scent of drug stores. However, the nice point is that two birds with one stone can block unpleasant pests with a pleasant scent.

 

Let’s pick up the aroma that is famous as a scent that insects dislike, what kind of aroma can be used for insect repellent.

etc. It is mainly effective for plants with strong scents that seem to have strong leaves, such as Labiatae, Asteraceae, and Gramineae.

 

As you can see, there are many people who grow this Labiatae plant such as peppermint, so it takes time to water it, but while other plants are suffering from pests, it does not attract much insects. If you praise the vibrant green without betraying, the insects may not like this quirky scent. My house is also grown near the entrance and windows, but it certainly doesn’t come with insects. I was staring at the mint green outside the window.

 

Most of them are blended with an oil called essential oil (details are omitted), diluted and used in a spray, but unexpectedly direct use may cause a rash, so use it for delicate skin. It is recommended to use commercially available products and handmade products for cleaning.

Also, those who grow those plants seem to be able to dry them and use them and leave them as they are. However, a small amount of peppermint etc. has a strong scent and a strong stimulus, so it seems that a small amount is okay when using it.

 

To the last, wearing such an aroma scent keeps insects away and makes them less likely to be bitten, so insect repellent using such aromas does not have an “insecticidal” effect. The purpose is “insect repellent”. Don’t forget to take measures to keep insects away.
