９月も終わりとなり、この時期になりますといろいろかわったり終わってしまうものがありますね。

いつも拝見しております朝の連続テレビ小説「らんまん」も、いよいよ明日で放送が終わるようでして、「牧野日本植物図鑑」の完成どうなるのか気になることろであります。それと同時に妻の寿恵子（劇中ではこちらのお名前）さんの容体も心配であります。

 

そんな「らんまん」において、現在劇中で万太郎が研究執筆活動をしている場所、東京都練馬区大泉。

実際、牧野富太郎は東京都練馬区大泉にて晩年研究執筆をしておりまして、現在そちらは練馬区立牧野記念庭園となっております。以前ブログにて呟いておりましたが、実はそちらの庭園へ今年の５月に訪れて参りました。

 

 

 

 

劇中のセットの様子と現在牧野記念庭園となっている牧野富太郎の実際の邸宅を見比べてみることがちょっと面白かったので、本日はその時の様子をお写真を多めにてお届けいたします。

 

現在、牧野記念庭園は、植物学者牧野富太郎博士（1862-1957）の邸宅の跡地として昭和33年（1958年）年より一般公開されております。（入場料は何と無料）牧野博士は大正15年（1926年）、当時は野趣豊かであった大泉の地に居を構え、昭和32年に満94歳の生涯を終えるまで、こちらの自邸の庭を「我が植物園」としてこよなく大切にしておりまして、園内は現在もそんな牧野先生のコレクションした植物が美しく手入れされております。また、2008（平成20）年、老朽化による改修工事のため一時休園しておりましたが、2010年8月にリニューアル・オープン。街の中の小さな庭園でありますが美しく整備しており、庭園の中には牧野邸がそのままの状態を保存、展示されております。

 

劇中のお部屋も、まあぐちゃぐちゃでありますが、リアル牧野邸も同じくぐちゃぐちゃでして笑。ついつい劇中のお部屋と見比べてしまいますが、リアル牧野先生の持ち物や書籍、机上の様子など、今でも執筆しているかのようにぐちゃぐちゃなのですが、そこに愛らしさを感じるのは私だけでしょうか。

 

 

 

 

 

 

また、庭園には約300種類の草木類が生育しており、それらのなかには壽衛子さんを偲んで植えられた「スエコザサ」やサクラ‘仙台屋せんだいや’、ヘラノキなどの珍しい種類の植物も数多くあり、学問的にも貴重なものと評されているようですが、それについては素人の私にはよくわからなかったのですが、とにかくお手入れがどこもされており、緑が生き生きとしております。

 

そして、こちらが「スエコザサ」。園の隅っこにさりげなく植えております。ほんの一角なのですがこの空間はどことなく特別な場所に思えてきますね。

 

 

 

 

予測なのですが、きっと「スエコザサ」を命名するシーンがきっと劇中にて登場するとは思うのですが、その場面をどのように表現するのか。今から気になってしかたありません。どんな時もお互い支えあった万太郎と寿恵子のことを思いますと、（勝手に）今から胸がジーンとなってきたりして。

 

 

 

 

 

それにしても、実際に眺めてまいりました「スエコザサ」、生き生きとしたその青い葉をたくましくもしなやかに風になびかせている姿が、壽衛子さんもきっとこの植物のような人だったのだなとちょっと思えてきたり致します。

 

現在は小さな植物園ではありますが、牧野先生と壽恵子さんの思いがぎゅっと詰まった小さいけれど、どこかほっこりする庭園ですので機会のございます方、是非訪れてみてくださいませ。

It is the end of September, and many things change and come to an end around this time of year.
The morning TV serial “Ranman,” which I always watch, will finally finish airing tomorrow, and I am anxious to see how the “Makino’s Japan Botanical Guide” will be completed. At the same time, I am worried about the condition of my wife, Jueko (her name in the movie).

In “Ranman,” Mantaro is currently doing research and writing in Oizumi, Nerima-ku, Tokyo. In fact, Tomitaro Makino spent his later years researching and writing in Oizumi, Nerima-ku, Tokyo, which is now the Nerima Makino Memorial Garden. As I mentioned in my blog before, I actually visited the park in May of this year.

It was interesting to compare the set of the movie with the actual residence of Tomitaro Makino, which is now the Makino Memorial Garden.

Today, the Makino Memorial Garden is the former residence of botanist Dr. Tomitaro Makino (1862-1957), and has been open to the public since 1958. （In 1926, Dr. Makino settled in Oizumi, which at that time was rich in wildness, and until his death in 1957 at the age of 94, he cherished this garden as “my botanical garden”. The garden is still beautifully maintained with plants from Dr. Makino’s collection. The garden was temporarily closed in 2008 for renovation work due to aging, but reopened in August 2010. Although it is a small garden in the city, it has been beautifully maintained, and the Makino Residence is preserved and exhibited in its original state in the garden.

The rooms in the movie are a mess, but the real Makino House is just as messy. I couldn’t help but compare it with the room in the play. The real Makino’s belongings, books, desk, etc. are a mess, as if he was still writing, but maybe it is just me who finds it endearing.

There are about 300 kinds of plants and trees growing in the garden, including many rare species such as ‘suekozasa’, cherry ‘sendaiya sendaiya’, and hellebores planted in memory of Jueko, which are regarded as valuable from a scholarly point of view. I don’t know about them, but they are well cared for and the greenery is vibrant.

And here is the “suekozasa”. It is casually planted in a corner of the garden. Although it is only a small corner, this space seems somehow special.

I am sure that the scene where the “suekozasa” is named will appear in the play. I can’t help but wonder how they will express that scene. I can’t help but feel a bit emotional when I think of Mantaro and Jueko, who supported each other through thick and thin.

I was able to see the “sueko-zasa” in person, and its vivid blue leaves waving in the wind, and I could imagine that Jueko must have been a person like this plant.

Although it is only a small botanical garden now, it is a small but somehow relaxing park that is filled with the thoughts of Dr. Makino and Jueko, so please visit it if you have a chance.
