白露の候、夏のお疲れが出やすい時期となりましたが、皆さまお元気でお過ごしでしょうか。

そういえば、昨年も呟いた気がするのですが暦の上では今年ですと9月8日(金)から9月22日(金)が「白露」といる時季であります。同じ時期に使える時候の挨拶としては“仲秋の候（ちゅうしゅうのこう）”“爽秋の候（そうしゅうのこう）”“清涼の候（せいりょうのこう）”“秋晴の候（あきばれのこう）”があるのですが、実際のところ台風一過により暑さがぶり返した地域も多いのではないでしょうか…。本日も「白露」とはほど遠い暑さの予感ですね。

白露とは、残暑は遠のき秋の気配が色濃くなっていく早朝などに草木の先や花に露(つゆ)が結び、白く光って見える…といった時季ですが、本日の自分は日傘をさして夏の洋服で出勤、お茶も冷たいままだし。なのに先日は某所でおせちの予約のチラシをもらったり、今朝のTVは栗蒸し羊羹を作っている映像が流れたりと、個人的な感想ですが９月は時候と気候が一番乖離しているな感じております。そして、夏の暑さや疲れを引きずりつつも、やっと心地よく活動できるなと次なる秋の計画や味覚の期待を馳せる、なんとも入り乱れた、一言で言えば落ち着かない季節だな…とも思います。

そんな中、一旦片付けものをしたりして落ち着いた暮らしにリセットしようと先日家の片付け始めたのですが、やはりまだ暑かったのでクローゼットや大きな物は断念。（暑さでちょっとくらっとした。）その日の体調もあるかと思いますが、家の中が大丈夫とは必ずしもいえないようですね。気を取り直して、クーラー至近距離のチェストの中の小さなものから始めることとしましたのですが、小さなものを掘り返してみますと（笑）結構な量の不要物がでてきました。いつも思うのですが、これだけ片づけただけでもよくこんなに入っていたものだなと感心致しますので、これから時候がよくなって大きなものを片付け始めたらどんなことになるのか、今はあまり考えないようにしておきましょう…。

このように片付けものを始めますと、つい夢中になって暑さや給水を忘れたりします。ほんとうに危ないな…と、実感致しましたので、お片付けを時候が良くなって始めようと計画されているかたもいらっしゃるかと思いますが、意識的に休憩や給水の時間をはさむくらいでちょうどよい気がいたしました。

The weather is getting colder and the summer fatigue is starting to show, I hope you are all doing well.

By the way, as I think I mentioned last year, this year’s “Hakuro” or “white dew” season runs from September 8 (Fri.) to September 22 (Fri.) according to the calendar.

In fact, the typhoon has passed, and the heat may have returned to many areas…. Today, too, we have a feeling that the heat is far from “White Dew”.

 

The white dew is when dew forms on the tips of plants and flowers in the early morning as the lingering summer heat fades away and the first hints of autumn appear, leaving them glowing white. However, I went to work today under a parasol and in summer clothes, and my tea is still cold.

And while the heat and fatigue of summer are still lingering in the air, we are finally able to work comfortably, and we are looking forward to the next autumn plans and tastes.

 

In the midst of all this, I started tidying up the house the other day to reset my life to a more settled state, but it was still too hot, so I gave up on closets and large items (I was a bit dizzy from the heat). (I was a little dizzy from the heat…). I guess it depends on your physical condition that day, but it seems that the house is not always okay.

I decided to get myself together and start with the small items in the chest of drawers in close proximity to the cooler, but when I dug through the small items (lol), I found quite a bit of unwanted stuff. I am always amazed at how much stuff was in the chest, so I will try not to think too much about what will happen when the weather improves and I start cleaning out the big stuff.

 

When I start cleaning up like this, I get carried away and forget about the heat and water supply. I think some of you may be planning to start cleaning up when the weather improves, but I think it is just as well to take a conscious break and drink some water.
