毎日本当に暑いですね…。

お出かけに、出勤に、日傘がかかせない方も多いかと思います。

日本ほど日傘を使う国は珍しいと言われますが、外国人へのアンケートで、「日本の夏の暑さ対策で、感心した・驚いた対策があるか」という項目の１位は、「日傘をさす」（46％）だったそう。ちなみに、海外では日焼け止めクリームを塗るのが主流で、日傘を差すのは主に年配の方のようです。日傘をさすというのは、日本や中国といった東アジア圏特有の文化のようですね。

ちなみに、雨傘よりも日傘のほうが歴史が長く、起源はなんと、約4000年前。エジプトやペルシャなどの彫刻画や壁画に、アテネの貴婦人たちが日傘を従者に持たせて歩く絵が残されています。

ところが、よく使うからこそ、日本の傘の消費量はとても多く、日本洋傘振興協会の調査によると、日本では年間約1.3億本もの洋傘が消費されているそうです。そのうち約8,000万本がビニール傘であると推定されています。ビニール傘は手ごろな分、置き忘れてしまったり、すぐに捨ててしまったりする方も多いかもしれません。しかし、傘はリサイクルが難しく焼却や埋め立てで処分するしかなく、深刻な環境問題となっているようです。

「駅から出たら雨が降っていた」「家に帰るだけとはいえ雨に濡れたくない」「傘をどこかに置き忘れた」

こんな経験は誰にもあると思います。持っていない、忘れたときに限って必要になるのが傘というものですが、この数字をみると、ちょっとビニール傘を簡単に買うのをやめようかなと考えさせられます。

職人さんに心を込めて作られることもあれば、工場で大量に作られる傘もあります。長年に渡って誰かを日差しや雨から守る傘もあれば、簡単に電車などに忘れられてしまったり、「誰かが忘れていった傘だから使っていいよ」なんて何人もの手に渡ったりする傘もあります。人の一生のように考えると、宿命とも思えるこの傘の数奇な一生…。

傘の寿命は2～3年と言われますが、少しでも長く使って、傘＝使い捨ての概念が無くなればいいなと思います。

It is really hot every day….

Many of you probably need a parasol when you go out or to work.

It is said that it is rare for a country to use parasols as much as Japan does, but according to a survey of foreigners, the top item on the question “Are there any countermeasures against the summer heat in Japan that impressed or surprised you? Incidentally, it seems that in other countries, applying sunscreen cream is the mainstream, and parasols are mainly used by older people. It seems that the use of parasols is a cultural practice unique to East Asian countries such as Japan and China.

Incidentally, parasols have a longer history than rain umbrellas, dating back some 4,000 years. Sculptures and wall paintings from Egypt and Persia show Athenian ladies walking with parasols in the hands of their attendants.

However, because they are used so often, the consumption of umbrellas in Japan is very high. According to a survey by the Japan Umbrella Promotion Association, about 130 million parasols are consumed annually in Japan. It is estimated that about 80 million of these umbrellas are vinyl umbrellas. Because of the affordability of plastic umbrellas, many people may misplace them or throw them away immediately. However, umbrellas are difficult to recycle and must be disposed of by incineration or landfill, which has become a serious environmental problem.

We have all had this experience: “It was raining when I got out of the station,” “I don’t want to get wet even if I am only going home,” or “I left my umbrella somewhere.”

I left my umbrella somewhere. Umbrellas are only needed when you don’t have one with you or have forgotten it, but these figures make me think that I should stop buying vinyl umbrellas so easily.

Some umbrellas are made with care by craftsmen, while others are mass-produced in factories. Some umbrellas protect someone from the sun or rain for many years, while others are easily forgotten on a train or in the hands of several people who say, “Someone forgot it, so you can use it. If you think of it like a person’s life, this odd life may be the fate of umbrellas.

It is said that the lifespan of an umbrella is two to three years, but I hope that people will use umbrellas for as long as possible and the concept of umbrellas as disposable items will disappear.

実は、隅田焼を目にするのは初めてでして。

面白いですね、ずっと目線が追ってしまうんですよ…。ふざけが発動して大喜利みたいに思わずセリフをつけてしまいそうですが、それはやめておくとして。

隅田焼の特徴でもあるこのモチーフが気になって、他にもいろいろ隅田焼の作品を検索したりして見たいたのですが、立体でリアルなその人物や動物などの一つ一つにストーリーがあり、またその一つ一つのストーリが器全体にループして繋がっていくようであります。ぐるぐると器に広がる永遠に終わらないストーリーを知らず知らずじっと追ってしまうのですが、たとえばこれが陶板だったとしたら、ストーリーは陶板の端で途切れてしまったのでしょうね。

さてさてこの隅田焼、あの東京の隅田の辺りの焼き物？隅田にそんな焼き物の土の採れるところなんてあったのか？なんて普通思えてくるのだが。場所はあの隅田で間違いないのですが、ルーツは実は愛知県瀬戸市にあるようです。

隅田焼の始まりは幕末。瀬戸の初代井上良齋が江戸へ行って製陶を始め、明治8年(1875)に島田惣兵衛の協力で隅田川西岸の橋場町で瀬戸伝統の登り窯を築きます。その土は瀬戸から蛙目粘土を運び、陶磁器に器面に貼り付けた炻器質のやきもの造形物（ストーンウェア）を貼り付ける高浮彫の技法で装飾され、赤や黒の塗料し、上部に釉薬をかけ流し仕上げる独特の作風であります。

今までの日本の陶磁器にはなかった自由奔放な表現が江戸の文化を漂わせてその独特の作風が魅力でして、当時から盛んに欧米に輸出されたようで、初代や二代良齊を慕って故郷の瀬戸からやってきた人々も窯で学んでいたそうです。

なんといてもその特徴はそのモチーフなのですが、江戸情緒を感じさせる愛すべき町人風の人物や子ども、仏教や僧侶、猿、象、龍、虎などのエキゾチックなモチーフを立体的に造形し器面に貼り付けられています。また、浅草に近いため相撲に関わる作品も見られ親近感も感じられたり。

またその独特の色彩もモチーフをいきいきとさせているようにも思えます。釉薬をかけず露胎の部分は、上絵の具を焼き付けるのではなく、赤や黒の塗料を使って仕上げてるのですが、瀬戸では上絵付きの技術が発達していなかったこととや、輸出にあたり東洋の魅力をイメージさせた漆の色を表現したことにもあるようですね。

これらは、もしかしたら瀬戸から江戸に出てきた初代井上良齋が、江戸の華やかな町文化に触れて驚いたことや珍しい風景に魅了され、それらを表現したかったのかなと勝手に思っているのですが、そんな初代井上良齋が驚いた風景が意外にも海外の方にもウケたのでしょうか笑。海外の方にもその日常のモチーフや色使いが新鮮にそして魅力的に映ったのでしょうね。

また、この隅田焼の二代良齋は明治33年(1900)にパリ万国博覧会で金牌を受賞しています。ですが二代良齋は現地で轆轤の妙技を披露して間もなく逝去します。帝室技芸員任命を夢見た人々は彼の死を惜しんだといいますから、もし彼が帝室技芸員に任命されていたとしたら、隅田焼の歴史も少しかわっていたのかな…。

そのくらい令和生きる自分にもまだまだインパクトのある隅田焼でありました。

Actually, this is the first time I’ve seen Sumida-yaki.

It’s funny, my eyes follow it all the way…. I feel like my joking around might be triggered and I might unintentionally add a line like a big joke, but I’m not going to do that.

I was curious about this motif, which is a characteristic of Sumida-yaki, and I wanted to search for other Sumida-yaki works to see them. If this were a ceramic plate, for example, the story would have been interrupted at the edge of the plate.

Now, is this Sumida-yaki pottery from the Sumida area of Tokyo? Was there a place in Sumida where such clay for pottery could be found? It seems to me that there was no place in Sumida where such clay for pottery could be found. The location is definitely that Sumida, but the roots of Sumida-yaki are actually in Seto City, Aichi Prefecture.

Sumida pottery began at the end of the Edo period. Ryosai Inoue, the first generation of Seto potters, went to Edo to begin pottery making, and in 1875, with the help of Sohei Shimada, he built a traditional Seto climbing kiln in Hashiba-cho on the west bank of the Sumida River. The clay was brought from Seto and decorated with the high relief technique of pasting stoneware on the surface of the ceramic ware, which was painted red or black and glazed over the top to create a unique style.

The free and unrestrained expression that had never been seen in Japanese ceramics until now was an appealing characteristic of the Edo culture, and it was actively exported to Europe and the U.S. from that time.

The most distinctive feature of this pottery is its motifs, which include lovable Edo style people, children, Buddhism, Buddhist monks, monkeys, elephants, dragons, tigers, and other exotic motifs, which are sculpted and pasted on the surface. Also, because of its proximity to Asakusa, some of the works are related to sumo wrestling, giving visitors a sense of familiarity with the sport.

The unique colors also seem to bring the motifs to life. The unglazed, exposed areas are finished with red and black paints instead of overglaze paints, which may be due to the fact that overglaze painting techniques were not developed in Seto, and also due to the lacquer colors used for export, which evoke an oriental charm.

I wonder if Ryosai Inoue I, who came to Edo from Seto, was surprised by the gorgeous town culture of Edo and was fascinated by the unusual scenery and wanted to express them. The motifs and colors of everyday life must have looked fresh and attractive to foreign people.

Ryosai Ⅱ of Sumida-yaki was awarded a gold medal at the World Exposition in Paris in 1900, but Ryosai Ⅱ did not win the gold medal there. However, Ryosai II passed away shortly after demonstrating his skill on the potter’s wheel there. It is said that those who dreamed of being appointed as a member of the Imperial Household Artisans regretted his death, so if he had been appointed as a member of the Imperial Household Artisans, the history of Sumida-yaki would have been a little different….

Sumida-yaki still has such an impact on me, even though I live in 2038.

先日買取に伺ったお宅に素敵なステンドグラスのフロアランプが飾られていました。お聞きするとお客様ご自身がご趣味で製作されたとのこと。手先がよほど器用でなければ作れない作品だと素人目にも分かるほど美しいランプでございました。

昔親に連れて行ってもらっていた昔ながらの喫茶店のステンドグラスのランプが素敵だった思い出から、自分でもいくつか購入しています。小さなランプでも明かりを灯すと想像以上の存在感があります。子ども部屋に小さなフクロウのステンドグラスを置いていたのですが、ある日ベッドに入る前に一日の出来事をそのフクロウに報告している子供の姿を偶然目にし、そーっとドアを閉めました。柔らかい光が安心感を与えるのでしょうか。日々忙しくてゆっくり話を聞いてあげられていないのかと反省もしましたが、本人は覚えていないそうです。

朝ドラの「あんぱん」で主人公のたかしが暮らす医師の伯父の家は診療所も兼ねていて素敵な和洋折衷の建物です。ダイニングでの食事のシーンでよく映り込む壁のステンドグラスにいつも目を奪われます。イケメンの登場人物たちを押しのけて目に飛び込んでくる可愛らしい印象のステンドグラスは日本の古い家屋にもしっくり馴染んでいます。優しい光が注ぎ込み美しいのです。外の光の強弱によっても日々変化が楽しむことができ憧れます。

ステンドグラスは中世ヨーロッパでキリスト教の普及と共に聖書の内容を分かりやすく伝える役目も果たしていました。大きな窓にはめ込まれた聖書の物語が描かれたステンドグラスの美しさは当時の人々にとっては衝撃だったのではないでしょうか。現在の技法はこの頃に既に完成していたと言われています。

日本でも大正時代から昭和初期にかけて建築装飾として広く普及し、ホテルや百貨店などで人々の目を楽しませました。この頃にアール・デコ様式の幾何学模様のデザインのステンドクラスが登場し人気だったとか。

この幾何学模様のステンドグラスが私は結構好みです。いつか飾れたらいいなという願望と共に、いや小さいものでいいから製作にチャレンジしてみる？などとまた好奇心だけが空回りしております。

A lovely stained glass floor lamp was displayed at a house we visited the other day. When we asked about it, we were told that the customer herself had made it as a hobby. The lamp was so beautiful that even the untrained eye could see that it could only have been made by someone who was very dexterous with his or her hands.

I have a fond memory of stained glass lamps in an old-fashioned coffee shop that my parents used to take me to, and I have bought a few myself. Even a small lamp has more presence than I imagined when lit. I had a small stained glass owl in my child’s room, and one day I happened to see my child reporting the day’s events to the owl before going to bed, and gently closed the door. The soft light of the room made him feel safe. I reflected on the fact that I was so busy that I had not been able to listen to him slowly, but he said he did not remember.

In the morning drama “Anpan,” the main character Takashi lives in his uncle’s house, a doctor, which also serves as a clinic and is a lovely blend of Japanese and Western architecture. The stained glass windows on the walls, which are often reflected in the dining room scene, always catch my attention. The lovely impression of the stained glass that catches the eye over the handsome characters blends in nicely with the old Japanese house. The gentle light pouring in is absolutely beautiful. I admire the way it seems to change day by day depending on the intensity of the light outside.

In medieval Europe, stained glass served the role of conveying the contents of the Bible in an easy-to-understand manner along with the spread of Christianity. The beauty of stained glass windows with biblical stories painted in large windows must have been a shock to the people of that time. It is said that the present technique was already completed at this time.

In Japan, stained glass spread widely as architectural decoration from the Taisho era (1912-1926) to the early Showa era (1926-1989), delighting the eyes of people in hotels, department stores, and other places. Around this time, stained glass with geometric designs in the Art Deco.

I quite like this geometric pattern stained glass. I hope to be able to decorate it someday, or maybe I should try my hand at making a small one. My curiosity is running away with me again.

このところ話題になっている映画「国宝」、ご覧になられた方もおいででしょうか。

先日やっと観に行けたのですが、上映時間が3時間という長編の映画ですので3時間自分の集中力がもつのか…と、まずはそこが不安だったのですが、見終わった時はそんな不安すっかり忘れていました。これは観に行かれたみなさん仰っておりましたが本当だったようですね笑。

ストーリーについてはネタバレになりますのでここでは控えておきますが、観終わった後に何を感じ取ったか？といいますと、圧倒と共に「筆舌に尽くし難い」が３時間後の感想でありました。

なぜ感想がうまく出てこずなのですが、まずはこの作品を書くにあたり3年間歌舞伎の黒衣を纏い楽屋に入った経験を血肉にし書き上げた原作者の吉田修一さんの本気度からはじまり、数々の名作を作り上げた李相白監督や撮影、演出、指導などなど世界最高峰のスタッフの手にかかるとこうなるんだ…といった感動と、そしてなによりも主役の吉沢亮さんのみならず出演された俳優の方々がここまで本気に映画に向きあうとあの域にまで達するのか…という感動と納得で、凄いものをみると唸るしかなかったといったあの状況なのでしょう。

それらがあとからあとから「そういえばあのシーンは…」とか「あの踊りをもう一回みたいな」とかいろいろ自分の中から湧いてきているといったといった状況です。

そんな中、一つ気になった点が映画を観ているはずなのに、本物の歌舞伎を見ているのか？ドキュメンタリーを見ているのか？といった自分が今何を観ているのか、わからなくなるような感覚がありました。

それもそのはず、この作品の撮影カメラマン、ソフィアン・エル・ファニさんは過去の作品にも全編手持ちカメラの作品などで本当に生々しく芝居を撮っている作品が多く見られます。

『国宝』は全編ということはないのですが、ここぞという時には手持ちカメラのようでして、歌舞伎を撮っているようでいながら演じる者の心のうちを撮ろうというというタイミングに、フィアンさんの手持ちカメラでの撮影。センスが最も生きた瞬間だったようですね。今回の作品も役者の方々の表情にカメラがとても寄っています。普段みることのできない歌舞伎の演者側からの目線や状況の中、役者さんの表情を繊細に捉えながら、これはフィクションなのか？といった錯覚を時折起こしておりました。それがとても印象的であとから「あのシーンは手持ちカメラだったな…」なんて今日も反芻しているのですが。

また、彼にとっては「歌舞伎」とは異文化の世界。カメラを通してこの異文化の世界がどんなふうに見え、どんなふうに撮りたかくなったのかというのは我々とは必ず違っているとは思うので、そういった彼の中のフィルターを通しての「国宝」も引きこまれていったところでもあったのでしょうか。

とまあ「筆舌に尽くし難い」まとまらないところがいくつもいくつもあとから出てきまして、実はもう一回みにいこうかな…なんて思っているのですが。

またあの大きな映画のスクリーンに引き込まれていくとすると、３時間後、今度こそは気の利いた感想の一言がでるのでしょうか…。

I wonder if any of you have seen the movie “National Treasure,” which has been the talk of the town recently.

I finally went to see the movie the other day. It is a 3-hour long movie, so I was worried about whether my concentration would last for 3 hours… but when I finished watching it, I forgot all about my worries. I was worried about whether I would be able to concentrate for 3 hours… but when I finished the movie, I had forgotten all my worries.

I won’t spoil the story here, but what did I feel after watching it? Well… “I can’t describe it” was my impression after 3 hours.

I wondered why my impressions did not come out well….

First of all, I was impressed by the seriousness of the author, Shuichi Yoshida, who wrote this film based on his three years of experience in the backstage of a Kabuki theater in black, and by the world’s best staff, including director Sang-Baek Lee, who has created many masterpieces, cinematographers, directors, and instructors. I could not help but roar with emotion and understanding that not only Ryo Yoshizawa, the lead actor, but all the actors in the film were so serious about the film that they could reach such a level of commitment.

I was so impressed and satisfied that I could not help but roar with satisfaction that the actors who appeared in the film had reached such a level of seriousness.

One thing that bothered me was that even though I was supposed to be watching a movie, I was wondering if I was watching a real kabuki performance or a documentary. Is it watching a documentary? I had a feeling that I was not sure what I was watching at the moment.

This is because the cameraman for this film, Sofiane El Fani, has shot many of his past films with hand-held cameras and other techniques that capture the play in a truly vivid manner.

In “National Treasure,” although not a full-length film, it seemed that he used a hand-held camera when the occasion called for it, and although it seemed like he was filming kabuki, he used his hand-held camera at the right moment to capture the heart of the performers. It seems that this was the moment when his sense of style was most alive. In this film, too, the camera was very close to the actors’ expressions. The camera delicately captured the actors’ facial expressions from the perspective of the performers, which is something you cannot usually see in kabuki. I sometimes had the illusion that this was fiction. It was so impressive that I still think about it today, “That scene was done with a hand-held camera….

Kabuki” is a world of different cultures for him. I am sure that the way he saw and wanted to capture this different culture through his camera was different from ours, so I wonder if the “national treasure” through his filter was part of what drew him to it.

I am thinking of going back to see the movie again….

If I am drawn into that big movie screen again, I wonder if I will be able to make a witty comment this time after 3 hours….

今年もやってまいりました。スーパーや産直売り場には梅やらっきょうが並び始め、「さあどうぞ漬けてください」と言わんばかりにあの赤い蓋の保存瓶やらが所狭しと陳列されています。

歳を重ねるごとに健康へのこだわりなんかも出てくるのでしょうか。友人の中には家で使う調味料のほとんどを手仕込みしている強者がいます。同じようにできれば理想ですが、そんな気力も体力も丁寧さも持ち合わせていない私。いつからか、毎年食べきれる量であること、自分の負担になり過ぎないもの、家族が食べてくれるものだけを手仕込みするようになりました。

そういった理由で最近では「らっきょう」と「紅ショウガ」だけは必ず漬けています。

まずは美味しいらっきょうを手に入れたい…。

らっきょうといえば、日本一収穫・出荷量を誇る鳥取県ですね。

鳥取県と言えば鳥取砂丘が頭に浮かびます。日本の砂丘の代名詞とも言える（たぶん）鳥取砂丘。

でも実は、砂地の面積で言えば鳥取砂丘はNo.1ではないそうです。青森の猿ヶ森砂丘、新潟の新潟砂丘など鳥取砂丘より広い砂丘は全国各地にあるようです。

夏となれば砂地の表面温度は60～70℃にまで上がり、冬には日本海の荒波と北風が直に吹きつけ、砂全体が面が雪に覆われることも珍しくないそう。こうしてみると鳥取砂丘って、とっても過酷。

当たり前ですが、全て砂ですので、田んぼや畑の土のように、土が水をふくむことができません。

おまけに海が近く風が強いので、塩分が多く運ばれます。加えて風で砂が動いてしまい、時間をかけて土壌を豊かにするということが難しいのだそうです。

保水力が弱い。塩分が多い。養分が少ない。土が風で動く。

農業をやる土地としては、あまりにも向いていなくて欠点だらけです。では、なぜこの地でらっきょうが名産品となったのでしょうか。

なぜって、それはらっきょうしか育たなかったからなのです。

鳥取のらっきょうの歴史を紐解けば、江戸時代に参勤交代の付け人が江戸の小石川薬園から持ち帰ったことが始まりと伝えられています。

当時は少数の農家が、桃や桑とともに自家用として栽培していたそうです。しかし、なにせ保水力ゼロの砂地。果樹は全く大きくならず、生き残ったのはらっきょうだけ。

らっきょうは、雨がほとんど降らなくても栽培でき、さらに雪の多い冬に生育するため、砂が移動し、乾燥するという砂丘のマイナス環境に見事に適応しました。さらにその生命力は、農作物の天敵でもある高い塩分濃度（ほぼ塩害）すらも乗り越えることができたのです。

シャキシャキとした歯ごたえと色白な見た目が特徴の鳥取県産のらっきょう。

実は、栄養たっぷりの土地でらっきょうをつくると、玉ねぎのような飴色になるのだそう。砂丘のように、ほとんど栄養がない土地だと真っ白になります。栄養素を保持する保肥力が弱いから砂丘だからこそ、輝くような色白の砂丘らっきょうが生まれるのだそうです。砂丘の栄養不足さまさまですね。

今年は昨年よりたくさん漬けました。きらきらしたらっきょうはとても可愛いです。

「我が子は特別かわいい」なんていいますが、どうやら、らっきょうにも当てはまるようです。

It’s that time of year again. Supermarkets and produce stands are beginning to stock plums and rakkyo, and the red-lidded storage jars are crammed full of them, as if to say, “Go ahead and pickle your own.

As I get older, I wonder if I am becoming more particular about my health. One of my friends makes most of the seasonings she uses at home by hand. It would be ideal if I could do the same, but I don’t have the energy, stamina, or politeness to do so. Somewhere along the line, I began to hand-prepare only what I could eat every year, what would not be too much of a burden on me, and what my family would eat.

For these reasons, recently I have been pickling only “rakkyo” and “red ginger” without fail.

First of all, I want to get good rakkyo….

Speaking of rakkyo, Tottori Prefecture boasts the largest harvest and shipment of rakkyo in Japan.

When I think of Tottori Prefecture, the Tottori Sand Dunes come to mind. The Tottori Sand Dunes are (probably) synonymous with sand dunes in Japan.

But in fact, in terms of sand area, the Tottori Sand Dunes are not No. 1. There are sand dunes larger than the Tottori Sand Dunes all over Japan, such as the Sarugamori Sand Dunes in Aomori and the Niigata Sand Dunes in Niigata.

In summer, the surface temperature of the sand rises to 60-70℃, and in winter, the rough waves and north winds of the Sea of Japan blow directly against the sand, and it is not unusual for the entire sand surface to be covered with snow. In this way, the Tottori Sand Dunes are very harsh.

As a matter of course, the sand is all sand, so the soil cannot absorb water like the soil in rice paddies and fields.

In addition, the proximity to the ocean and strong winds carry a lot of salt. In addition, the sand is moved by the wind, making it difficult to enrich the soil over time.

Weak water retention capacity. High salt content. Low nutrients. The soil moves with the wind.

It is a land too unsuitable for agriculture and full of shortcomings. Then, why did rakkyo become a specialty in this area?

The reason is that it was the only place where they could grow it.

The history of Tottori’s rakkyo dates back to the Edo period (1603-1867), when a follower of the Edo shogunate brought back rakkyo from Koishikawa Yakuen in Edo (now Tokyo).

At that time, a small number of farmers cultivated it for their own use along with peaches and mulberries. However, the sandy soil had no water retention capacity. Fruit trees did not grow at all, and the only survivor was rakkyo.

Rakkyo can be cultivated even when there is almost no rainfall, and since it grows in winter when there is a lot of snow, it has adapted well to the negative environment of the sand dunes, where the sand moves and dries out. Furthermore, its vitality has been able to overcome even the natural enemy of crops, the high salt concentration (almost salt damage).

Tottori Prefecture’s rakkyo is characterized by its crunchy texture and colorful appearance.

In fact, when rakkyo is grown in a land rich in nutrients, it becomes a candy-like color like onions. If the land is almost devoid of nutrients, such as sand dunes, it turns pure white. The dunes are not strong enough to retain nutrients, and it is because of this that the dunes produce the shining white color of the rakkyo. The dunes are not nourished well enough.

This year we pickled more than last year. The sparkling cucumbers are very cute.

They say, “My child is especially cute,” and it seems to be true for the cherries as well.

先日のスタッフHのアンサーブログになってしまうのですが、たしかにこのところ昭和レトロが各方面流行っていますよね。

仕事がら買取などでお伺するお宅でも昭和世代のレコードなどの買取のご相談もあり（弊店、レコードなどの買取も承っております。）当時流行ったアーティストの話で盛り上がることもあったりするのですが、昭和世代の自分にとっては「レトロといわれても…。いや、確かにレトロか…笑」などと思わざる負えない自分もドストライク昭和世代であります。

自分自身も昭和レトロになっていて、先日も健康診断や各種検査をこなしその結果に一喜一憂をしていたり、時間とはなんて残酷なんでしょう。

そんな昭和レトロのブーム、今、昭和歌謡が若い世代にけっこう刺さっているようですよね。

このところ昭和歌謡と令和の今はやっている曲をいろいろ混ぜて、様々な世代でも楽しめるようにしている番組をよく観るのですが、ゲストが令和世代と昭和世代だったりして「自分はあっち側だな笑」と、はい、認めます。

そんな昭和歌謡なんですが、昭和世代が楽しむかと思いきや、実は令和世代もその曲や当時のファションなどなど楽しんでいるようですね。あのキャッチーでコッテリした感じの曲（言い方）が、刺さっているようでちょっとびっくりでして、昭和世代にとっては「え、そこ？」と言いたいところなのですが、逆にそこが新鮮なのでしょうね。

というわけで、先日懐かしく昭和歌謡なるものを聴いていたのですが、今でも松田聖子さんの曲を恐ろしいことに全部振り付きで歌えるわけですよ…。これが昭和歌謡の底力か。みんなTVの前に張り付き、同じ流行りの曲を聴き、同じように曲や振りを覚えていた記憶がよみがえります。それはそれで楽しかったですけどね。

時が流れて令和ともなりますとアーティストも多いですし、曲の作り方も様々、TVのみならず配信など世に送り出すツールも様々になり、好きなアーティスや曲をどんどん選ぶことができるようになってきて、選ぶのは大変だけど選択肢も多種多様。サブスクなどで知らないアーティストや曲にすぐに巡り合えるのは昭和世代でもそれはそれで楽しいですし、そんな選択肢の一つとしての昭和歌謡なのでしょうね。

そんな昭和歌謡を聴いている若い人に、当時のリアルな様子などを話せることだけはちょっと優越感ではありますが、レトロになった昭和歌謡とレトロになった自分自身に少々驚く今日この頃であります。

As time goes by and 2025 comes around, there are many artists, many different ways of making songs, and many different tools for distributing songs to the world, not only through TV, but also through distribution, and we can choose the artists and songs we like more and more. It is fun for the Showa generation to be able to quickly come across artists and songs they do not know through subscriptions, etc., and I guess Showa songs are one such option.

I feel a little superior to be able to talk to young people who listen to such Showa songs about what it was like back then, but I am a little surprised at how “retro” Showa songs have become and how retro I am nowadays.

最近、若者の間では密かに昭和レトロの品が流行っているようで、花柄やポップな色合いの家電製品、ガラス食器などの復刻版が人気だそうです。ほんの少し前まで実家にあったような、もしかしたら今でも戸棚の奥から出てきそうなカラフルなポットや鍋などが、シックでスタイリッシュな家電人気を経て、今の若い人たちには新鮮で可愛いく映るようです。

先日家族が外出から帰るなり、「今日やっと見つけた！」と興奮しているので何事かと思いましたら、ガチャガチャで購入したという昔なつかしい「コインシリンダー」でした。えっ、大昔に私も持っていましたけれど…とそのキティちゃん柄の赤いコインシリンダーが付いたキーホルダーをまじまじと眺めてしまいました。これが今になってまた流行っているのかと呆然としました。

コインシリンダー、ご存知でしょうか？コインのサイズの筒型のケースの中にバネが入っていて硬貨を上から押し込んで収納でき、１枚取ると次のコインが下から押し上げられてくるというものです。最近はキャッシュレス化が進み、スマホでほとんどの支払いが済んでしまう時代ですが、自動販売機や個人商店などで硬貨がどうしても必要になる場面もあるようで、コインケースの売れ行きが伸びているとか。でもお釣りの硬貨の量が多かったらどうするの？などと余計な心配もしてしまいますが、良いのです可愛ければ、という若者の声が聞こえてきます。

洋服なども、私の親世代が着ていたような柄のシャツやセーターを若い人が着ているのを見かけることもあります。古着屋さんで手に入れたのか、それとも本当に家族から譲り受けたのか上手に着こなしていて感心します。もちろん若さという武器を持っていることも大きいのでしょうが、その柔軟さには驚きます。

もう消えてしまったかと思っていたデジカメの人気も再燃しているようで、クリアで高度な処理を経た画質を追い求めてきたスマホのカメラから一周して、デジカメのノスタルジックに仕上がる写真の絵が独特で格好良く見えるのだそう。初めてデジカメが登場した時は画期的な商品だと驚きました。それまで一枚一枚慎重にシャッターを切っていたのに、何度でも撮り直しては消せるので、とりあえずパシャパシャ撮りまくるのが楽しかったのを覚えています。子供にも気軽に渡して、「何でも撮っていいよー」と言うと、溝の中で腹ばいになって蟻を撮ったりしていて結構面白い写真が仕上がりました。もしかしたらカメラを構えてシャッターを切るということ自体も若者には新鮮なのかもしれませんね。

もう一つ、処分しようと思っていたら家族に止められた電化製品がカセットレコーダーです。さすがにカセットテープは売ってないのではと思っていましたら、少量ながら購入できるそうです。これも写真と同じで、クリアでない、少しこもったような音が若い人には新鮮でカッコいいのだそうです。そういえば、昔流行っていたお気に入りの曲をその時期ごとにテープに録音して自分のベスト盤を作っていたような。ベスト盤という言葉すら懐かしい。実家で捨てられていなければもう一度聞いてみたくなりました。もしかしたら泣いてしまうかもしれません。処分していたら聞けなくなるところでした。

技術は進歩しますが、常に最新のものが最高とは限らないと改めて考えさせられます。

最近は昭和レトロ展なども開催されているようで、機会があれば訪れたいです。

色々と思い出しながら懐かしい時代の空気を思い出し、脳が活性化した気がいたします。

それにしましても今回のブログで何回「若者」と書いたでしょうか…。

I looked at the key chain with the red coin cylinder with the kitty-chan pattern on it. I was stunned to see that this is now back in fashion.

Have you ever heard of coin cylinders? It is a tubular case the size of a coin with a spring inside that allows coins to be pushed in from above and stored, and when one is taken out, the next coin is pushed up from below. However, there are some situations where coins are absolutely necessary, such as in vending machines and private stores, and sales of coin cases are increasing. But what if the amount of coins in change is too large? But I can hear young people saying, “It doesn’t matter, as long as it’s cute.

In terms of clothing, I sometimes see young people wearing shirts and sweaters with patterns that my parents’ generation used to wear. I am impressed by how well they wear them, whether they got them at a secondhand clothing store or whether they really got them from family members. Of course, they probably have youth as a weapon, but I am amazed at how flexible they are.

The popularity of digital cameras, which I thought had already disappeared, seems to be rekindling, and the nostalgic pictures of digital cameras look unique and cool, taking a break from the clear and highly processed image quality of smartphone cameras. When digital cameras first appeared on the market, I was amazed at what a revolutionary product they were. I remember how much fun it was to just snap away anyway, because I could re-shoot and erase as many times as I wanted, even though I had been carefully clicking the shutter on each picture until then. I handed it casually to my children and told them that they could take pictures of anything, and they would lie on their stomachs in the ditch and take pictures of ants, which turned out to be quite interesting. Perhaps the very act of holding up a camera and releasing the shutter is new to young people.

Another electrical appliance that I was thinking of getting rid of, but was stopped by my family, was my cassette recorder. I thought that cassette tapes might not be sold, but I was told that they are available in small quantities. This is the same as the one in the picture, but the non-clear, slightly muffled sound is fresh and cool for young people. Come to think of it, I used to record my favorite songs that were popular in the past on tapes at different times of the year and make my own best of recordings. I even miss the term “best of”. I would like to listen to it again if it hasn’t been thrown away at my parents’ house. Maybe I would cry. I would not have been able to listen to it if I had gotten rid of it.

Technology advances, but it makes me think again that the latest is not always the best.

Recently, there seems to be a Showa Retro exhibition being held, and I would like to visit it if I have the chance.

I feel like my brain has been revitalized as I recall the atmosphere of a nostalgic era while reminiscing about various things.

And how many times have I used the word “youth” in this blog?

無性に何か食べたくなる時は、身体に何か栄養素が足りない時だとも言われますが、最近の気候のせいか、はたまた歳のせいか、グレープフルーツやキウイなど少し酸っぱいものが食べたくなります。こんな時はどうやら、身体が疲れていたり、胃腸の調子が悪かったり、ストレスで食欲が落ちているなどの原因が考えられるそうです。なんとなく全部当てはまる気もするのですが、ビタミンCやカリウムの不足も原因の一つのようです。

スーパーで見かける白やピンク、赤いグレープフルーツ。勝手なイメージなんですが、なんとなくフロリダ。ところが実は原産地は西インド諸島バルバドス島なのだそう。しかも元々は、文旦とオレンジが自然に混ざってできたのだそうです。ちなみに文旦は高知県の土佐文旦が有名ですが、地域によっては「ザボン」「ボンタン」となどと呼ばれます。また最近「ポメロ」というグレープフルーツによく似た形の柑橘類をスーパーでも見かけますが、あれも文旦なのだそう。

話がそれましたが、「グレープフルーツ」という洋風な名前なので、てっきり欧米由来かと思ったら、思いっきりアジアのフルーツでした。とても香りが良いので、様々な香料としても使われています。

このアジア出身の柑橘類グレープフルーツは、ビタミンCをとても多く含み、1個食べるだけで1日に必要な量を概ね賄うことができます。

なんとなく体に良さそうなイメージのあるビタミンCは、本当に体に良いようで、肝臓の働きを助け、活性酸素を除去して、疲労を回復し、血管を守って出血を防ぎ、お肌にハリを与え、コレステロール値も安定させてくれるそうで、体にいいことしかありません。

また、グレープフルーツには薬膳的な働きもあるようで、その果肉は、食べ物を受け取る胃の働きを整えて、食欲不振や胃もたれを改善し、皮は、消化を促す働きを持っています。

あの独特な苦味が苦手という方もいるかと思いますが、あの独特な苦味はナリンギンというポリフェノールの一種。ナリンギンには抗酸化作用があり、老化予防や生活習慣病の予防にも効果があるようです。赤いグレープフルーツには、同じく抗酸化作用をもったリコピンも含まれていますので、血流改善や美肌効果なども期待できるのだそうです。

苦味には、興奮を鎮める“鎮静”、便通を促す“通便”などの働きがあるといわれます。グレープフルーツは、潤いを補うことで、こもった熱を冷ましたり、鎮静したりする力を補えるので、興奮気味でイライラしたときや、熱っぽくてカッカする時、ストレスで食欲が落ちている時などに食べるとよい果物。ですが、お薬を飲まれている方は飲み合わせが悪くなったりするので避けた方がいいこともあるそうです。また冷え性の方や高齢の方は、食べ過ぎると胃腸が冷えてしまうので、ご注意くださいね。

グレープフルーツのみずみずしい果汁は、体を潤し、消化を助け、ストレスを改善してくれます。私のようになんとなくイライラ気味、熱がこもりがち、ストレスで胃腸の調子が悪いという方は、とりあえずグレープフルーツジュースを飲んで深呼吸してみてくださいね。

It is said that when you feel a craving for something irresistibly, it is a time when your body lacks some nutrients. Perhaps it is because of the recent climate, or perhaps because of my age, I have a craving for slightly sour foods such as grapefruit and kiwi. Apparently, at times like this, the body is tired, the gastrointestinal tract is in bad shape, or stress is causing a loss of appetite, among other possible causes. Somehow I feel that all of these are true, but it seems that a lack of vitamin C and potassium is also one of the causes.

White, pink, and red grapefruits found in supermarkets. It is a selfish image, but they are somewhat Florida. In fact, however, its origin is the island of Barbados in the West Indies. Moreover, it is said that it was originally created by naturally mixing pomelos and oranges. The most famous pomelo is the Tosa pomelo from Kochi Prefecture, but it is also called “pomelo” or “bontan” depending on the region. Also, you may have recently seen a citrus fruit called “pomelo” in supermarkets, which looks similar to a grapefruit.

I digress. I thought the Western name “grapefruit” might have originated in Europe or America, but it is an Asian fruit. It is so fragrant that it is used as a flavoring agent in a variety of fragrances.

Grapefruit, a citrus fruit from Asia, contains a lot of vitamin C. Just one grapefruit is enough to meet your daily needs.

Vitamin C, which somehow seems to be good for the body, is really good for the body. It helps the liver function, removes active oxygen, relieves fatigue, protects blood vessels to prevent bleeding, gives skin elasticity, and stabilizes cholesterol levels, so it can only be good for the body.

Grapefruit also seems to have a medicinal function: its pulp regulates the function of the stomach, which receives food, and improves anorexia and lethargy, while its peel helps to promote digestion.

Some people may not like its distinctive bitter taste, but that distinctive bitterness is a type of polyphenol called naringin. Naringin has antioxidant properties and is effective in preventing aging and lifestyle-related diseases. Red grapefruits also contain lycopene, which also has antioxidant properties, so they can be expected to improve blood flow and beautify the skin.

The bitter taste is said to have a “calming” effect on excitement and a “bowel movement” effect.
