ホットコーヒーが沁みる朝、ぐっと冷え込む日が続いています。気付けば11月もあと1週間となり、来年のカレンダーや手帳を買い求める季節になりました。

ところで、いつもみなさんが使っているカレンダーは「どっち」ですか？

何のことかと言いますと、「日曜始まり」か「月曜始まり」かということです。

週の始まりをどちらにするかは人それぞれかと思いますが、どうやら手帳は月曜始まりが多いのに対して、カレンダーは日曜始まりが多いようです。日曜始まりにしなければいけないという決まりや規格はないようですが、日本で売られているカレンダーの約9割は日曜始まりだそう。

カレンダーが日曜から始まりが多い背景には、宗教的な要素が背景にあるようです。

日本が太陽暦を採用したのは1872年（明治5年）。それまでは月の満ち欠けを基準にした太陰暦が使われていました。太陰暦では現在の曜日の代わりに「大安」「友引」などの六曜が使われていました。

ユダヤ教では安息日は土曜日、キリスト教の礼拝日は日曜日と違いはありますが、キリスト教でも、週の始まりは日曜日です。このように、歴史・文化的に、暦上の週の始まりは日曜日とされ、このため、日本でも太陽暦の導入とともに日曜日が週の始まりとして、今でもカレンダーの多くが日曜始まりになっているようです。

ところが、キリスト教の国が多いはずのヨーロッパのカレンダーは、現在では月曜日始まりが多いといいます。

これは、1971年のISO（国際標準化機構）の勧告で、官公庁や多くの企業の始業に合わせて実務上、週の始まりは月曜からにするという規定ができたためだそうです。

ルーツは同じでも、現在ではアメリカや日本では日曜始まり、ヨーロッパでは月曜始まりが主流となっているそうです。

一方、手帳の品ぞろえは月曜始まりが主流のようです。 月曜始まりの考え方は1973年のオイルショックなどの影響で、企業などが週休2日制を導入したことがきっかけ。手帳はこのライフスタイルの変化に合わせ、80年代末ごろから月曜始まりが主流となったようです。ビジネスシーンにおいては月曜から予定を書き込める方が使い勝手が良いのでしょう。

パッと見るだけで日付が分かるのがカレンダーの良いところ。日曜始まりに見慣れているのに急に変えたら見にくく感じます。今年は癒しを求めて、犬や猫のカレンダーを買おうかと迷っているのですが、結局いつも同じもを使うような気がします。なかなか冒険できません。

みなさまこんにちは、スタッフＹでございます。

先日忘れてましたが、どうやら豊田市の豊田スタジアムをメイン会場に始まったラリージャパンに合わせ、航空自衛隊「ブルーインパルス」が21日、同市上空にハートなどを描いて開幕に花を添えていたそうです。

6機がさまざまな隊形に変化しながら飛行。旋回したり、スモークで絵を描いたり、12演目を披露したり、六つの円を描き、空に花を咲かせる「さくら」や、5機が太陽の光のように扇状に広がる「サンライズ」などを披露し、観客たちを沸かせたそうなのです。ブルーインパルスは小牧から飛びたったようでして、たぶんお店の上を飛んだはずなのですが残念ながら気が付かず。とはいえ、ジェット噴射しながら飛んでるわけではないですから、豊田スタジアムに行って実際に口を開けながらてみたかったですね。

ところで、あの一糸乱れぬジェット飛行ですがその燃料はご存知の通り油。ですが、最近はその燃料にも航空業界ではカーボンニュートラルな代替航空燃料「SAF」の取り合いが起こっているようなのです。

カーボンニュートラルな代替航空燃料とはなんぞや？と、お思いでしょうが、その一つに微細藻類ユーグレナ（ミドリムシ）の研究で知られるユーグレナがあります。要はバイオ燃料ということなのですが、このユーグレナは、使用済みの食用油9割とユーグレナから抽出されるユーグレナ油脂1割が原料でして、日本でも各社が国産SAFの大量生産を目指して頑張っているようなのですが需要が追い付かない状態のようです。

そのような中で、各国の航空会社は石油由来のジェット燃料から早くSAFに切り替えたいのですが、取り合いが起こってる状態のようです。去る9月24日に開催されたF1日本グランプリと、その前日のリハーサルで飛行した航空自衛隊のブルーインパルスにはミドリムシから作られた代替ジェット燃料が使われていたようですが、使用済み食用油を伝っているということで、ジェット飛行の際にはちょっとこんがりした美味しそうな匂いがするのかな…などとくだらない想像ばかりが浮かびました。

今回の飛行がどんな燃料が使われたかはわかりませんが、使用済み食用油もこうやって使われる時代になっていくのなら揚げ物をして食べる罪悪感も、油を片づけるイライラ感も少しは薄まりそうな気がします。

よし、今日は揚げ物にしよう笑。

I forgot to mention this the other day, but apparently the Japan Air Self-Defense Force “Blue Impulse” flew over Toyota City on the 21st to add flowers to the opening of Rally Japan, which started at the Toyota Stadium in Toyota City as its main venue, by drawing hearts and other shapes in the sky over the city.

Six aircraft flew in various formations. みなさまこんにちは、スタッフYでございます。

今日の名古屋は素晴らしい秋晴れです。少々風はありますが、こんな日は若い子たちはおしゃピクとかするのでしょうか。そんな空を羨ましく眺めながら本日もブログ綴っていきたいと思います。

最近絵画の買取をご希望されるお客様が多いのですが、その際に画の状態などを拝見いたします。圧倒的に風景画が多いのですが、やはり海、山や建物、そして空が多く描かれております。描き方は様々、「空」一つにも作家によってこんなにも捉え方が違うのか…と、驚きます。また、有名な西洋画ですと、ゴッホの空なんて雲がトグロを巻いてなんだか混沌とした気持ちになったり、モネの「日傘をさす女性」なんて空に流れる雲が爽やかな気持ちにさせてたり。西洋画では雲が作家の心理描写をあらわすことのできる特徴的なアイテムのように私には伝わります。

なぜそんなことを思ったのかと言いますと、９月から開催されている東京・渋谷区立松濤美術館の「空の発見」という展覧会が先日まで開催されていたようでして。残念ながら行くことはできなかったのですが、かつての日本美術には青い空に白い雲の表現がほとんど出てこないということを、これまでの歴史的な流れと共に作品を通して知ることが出来る展覧会だったようでして、それぞれの時代やお国での「空」の描き方が気になってきました。

そういえば先日訪れた相国寺展の応挙や若冲などの画もそうでしたが、日本のかつての絵画はそういうものだと無意識のうちに「そんなもんだ」と、我々は認識しておりますが、そういえば「空」なんてなかったな笑と、今さら気が付きました。

もう少し詳しく調べて見ますと、近世以前では「金雲」とか「一文字ぼかし」などが定番の表現し、屏風絵などのイメージを思い浮かべるとこれがお決まりの空の描き方でありました。西洋美術の影響を受ける前の日本美術における空の扱いは演出効果であったり、空があることを示す記号的表現であったり、文字入れのための余白として描かれるものであり、自然現象として描写する対象ではなかったようです。

私がこのイメージで思い出すのが「洛中洛外図屏風」なのですが、これまで多くの絵師により描かれておりますが、どの「洛中洛外図屏風」も視覚効果とダイナミックな場面の展開を空じゃなくて雲によって上手く使っているというか、ストーリを持たせていますよね。

詳しくは、画面を覆う「金雲」「すやり霞」といった手法というようですが、現実の空を描写したものではなく、視覚効果をもたらす演出としての表現様式のひとつ。西洋の概念にどっぷり浸かった現代の目からすると、これらはむしろ画期的に感じるのでしょうか。ですが、受け継がれた遺伝的な刷り込みもあるのでしょうか、我々には「金」で表現されていても誰もが「雲」だとわかりますし、そこが「空なんだ」ともわかります。逆に西洋の方にはこの金のもこもこは何に見えるのでしょうね。

また、場所や時間が異なる場面同士を繋ぎ余計なものを省いて見せたいものを際立たせ、画面を華やかに装飾する効果も。「繋ぐ」「省く」「飾る」と複数の機能を持ち合わせて、なんてかわいらしくて面白い手法だろうと思います。

そんな「空や雲」という表現が一般化するのは近世以降でして、西洋の影響を受けた洋風画や泥絵、浮世絵などを中心に、日本の絵画にも青空が広がり始めるのです。また、プルシアンブルーの輸入もそれを後押ししたようでして、それまで描きたい対象にフォーカスして描いていた日本美術は、この泥絵のように視野を切り取る＝視野を一点に固定する表現を試みるようになります。ですが、当時の日本人にとって斬新なルールであったため、必ずしも好まれたわけではなかったようです。これまで描きたいものを描きたいように描いてきたのですから当然でしょうね。

It is a beautiful autumn day in Nagoya today. There is a bit of wind, but I wonder if young people are having a picnic on a day like this. I would like to write this blog today while looking at such a sky with envy.

Recently, we have had many customers who wish to purchase paintings, and at that time, we inspect the condition of the paintings. The overwhelming majority of the paintings are landscapes, with many depicting seascapes, mountains, buildings, and the sky. The way of painting varies, and it is surprising to see how differently even a single “sky” is perceived by different artists. In famous Western paintings, Van Gogh’s sky is somewhat chaotic with clouds rolling in a sprawling pattern, while Monet’s “Woman with a Parasol” is refreshing with clouds flowing in the sky. In Western painting, clouds seem to me to be a characteristic item that can express the artist’s psychological portrayal.

The reason why I was thinking of this is that an exhibition titled “Discovering the Sky” at the Shoto Museum of Art in Shibuya, Tokyo, which has been held since September, was on until the other day. Unfortunately, I was not able to go to the exhibition, but it seemed to be an exhibition where I could learn through the artworks, along with historical trends, that in the past, expressions of white clouds against a blue sky rarely appeared in Japanese art, which made me curious about how the “sky” was depicted in each period and country.

Come to think of it, the paintings by Okyo and Jakuchu at the Shokokuji temple exhibition that we visited the other day were like that, and we subconsciously recognize that that is how Japanese paintings used to be, but now that I think of it, I realized that there was no such thing as “sky”.

いよいよ我が家でも様々な防寒グッズを引っ張り出し、冬支度を始めております。

夏に整理していた時には、こんな暑苦しいものを使う日が来るのかという思いでしたが、今朝の冷たい風を受けて、そうそう冬の空気ってこんな感じだったと目が覚めました。

自分の想像力の乏しさを実感します。まさに喉元過ぎれば熱さを忘れるということでしょうか。

さて先日、バタバタと朝の支度をしておりましたらテレビに丸い地球の映像が流れてきました。何の気なしに見ておりましたら高校生による撮影との解説。驚いて注意を向けると、愛知県の旭丘高校の天文部が撮影に成功したとのこと。高校生にそんなことが可能なの？と半信半疑でしたが本当でした。

高校のHPには「SB（スペースバルーン）プロジェクト」と題された試みが載っており、「生徒の力のみでバルーンを成層圏まで飛ばし、地球の写真を撮りたい！」とあります。

現在、民間の企業や大学で上空３０kmほどまで打ち上げ、周囲の気象データなどをとる高度気球が活用されているが、最後までGPSで追跡し無事に回収できたケースは少ないようです。

旭丘高校の天文部はこの試み見事成功したわけですが、バルーンを放つ瞬間から回収するまでの映像が公開されており、まるで自分が宇宙へ打ち上げられているかのような感覚を体験できます。

ところで成層圏とはどのあたりなのでしょうか。現在は１９６１年に世界気象機関で分類されたものが基準となっており、地上から約１０kmまでを対流圏（飛行機が飛ぶ範囲）、約１０kmから５０kmを成層圏、約５０kmから８０kmを中間圏、約８０kmから約５００kmをオーロラなどが観測できる熱圏と呼ぶそうです。

ちなみに宇宙と呼ばれる範囲は一般的には大気がほとんど無くなる地表からの高度１００kmから先とされていますが、国際法上の合意がないことから「宇宙空間」は法的には定義されていないのだそうです。ちょっと意外でした。

それにしましても高校生パワーには驚かされます。高額な機材を揃えるためにクラウドファンディングを立ち上げ企業などから寄付を募ったり、成層圏に気球を飛ばすための国の許可を取得する手続きなど全て生徒が行ったそうです。

それぞれの生徒が自分の得意分野を生かし、バルーンの設計、プログラミング、飛行軌道の計算、広報などを担当したそうです。打ち上げから機体の回収まで見事に成功させた高校生に拍手を送りたい気持ちです。

Finally, we have started to prepare for winter by pulling out various thermal goods at our house.
When I was organizing them in the summer, I wondered if the day would ever come when I would have to use such hot and stuffy things, but this morning’s cold wind woke me up and I realized that yes, this is what winter air feels like.
I realize how little imagination I have. I guess it’s just like the heat of the air.
The other day, as I was getting ready in the morning, I saw an image of the round earth on TV. As I casually watched it, I heard an explanation that it was taken by high school students. When I turned my attention to it, I found out that the astronomy club of Asahigaoka High School in Aichi Prefecture had succeeded in taking the picture. I was skeptical, wondering if it was possible for high school students to do such a thing. I was skeptical, but it was true.
On the high school’s website, there is an attempt titled “SB (Space Balloon) Project,” which says, “We want to fly a balloon to the stratosphere and take pictures of the Earth using only the students’ power! and “We want to fly the balloon to the stratosphere and take pictures of the Earth using only the students’ power!

Incidentally, the range of space is generally considered to be from an altitude of 100 km above the surface of the earth, where the atmosphere is almost completely gone, but since there is no agreement under international law, “outer space” is not legally defined. This was a bit surprising.
I am still amazed at the power of high school students. The students did everything from raising donations from companies through crowdfunding in order to purchase expensive equipment to obtaining government permission to fly a balloon into the stratosphere.
Each student was responsible for designing the balloon, programming it, calculating its flight trajectory, and publicizing it, taking advantage of their own areas of expertise. We would like to applaud the high school students who successfully completed everything from the launch to the recovery of the aircraft.

昨夜から一気に気温が下がり、名古屋も昨日より寒く感じるので、コートを使い始めました。寒くなってきたので、鍋好きとしては、より美味しく食べられる季節になりうれしい面もあります。

今週から寒くなるという予報でしたので、まだ暖かい今がチャンス！と、少し前のことですが、姉妹で予定を合わせ、何年ぶりになるでしょうか。久しぶりに実家の障子の張り替えをすることになりました。

ですが、我らは張り替え初心者。果たしてどのくらいのクオリティで仕上がるのか？こんなことなら、母がいるうちに一緒にやっておけばよかった…。

木枠に紙を貼り付けた障子は、長い歴史がある日本の伝統的な和の建具ですが、その歴史は古く、遡れば平安時代にはすでに存在していたといわれています。現在使われている障子は、寝殿造りの外回りに使われていた、遣戸（やりど）が原型だとされています。

当時は襖や引き戸、屏風なども含めて「障子」と呼ばれていました。それが平安時代後期に現代の障子に繋がる「明障子」が作られるようになり、襖とは明確に区別されるようになりました。

室町時代になると書院造りに障子が使われるようになり、生活のなかでも一般化しました。障子紙が書院紙とも呼ばれているのは、書院で使われていたころの名残だといわれています。

さらに江戸時代に入ると組子に工夫を凝らしたものが作られるようになり、さまざまな種類の障子が生み出されました。インテリア性だけでなく、室内の太陽光や外の風景の取り入れ具合によって様々な障子があります。

下部に腰板と呼ばれる板が張られている「腰板障子」や戸枠の一部をガラスにした「雪見障子」、戸を閉めたままでも猫が自由に出入りできる「猫間障子」など他にも様々な障子があるようです。

障子の張り替えで、おそらく初心者一番の難関…それは桟への糊づけ。
糊で貼ると聞いただけで、なぜかとっても難易度が高そうに聞こえるのですが、この昔ながらの糊で貼る方法は、建具にも優しく安価に仕上がるコスパ抜群の貼り方なんだそうで。

とはいえ、ハケで糊を塗るのは難しそうだし、後片付けも面倒そうなので避けたい…。そこで、今回使ったのはハケがいらない障子紙のり。

ホームセンターなどで購入できますので、初心者の方や自信のない方、面倒くさがり屋さんは迷わずセレクトしてみてください（笑）桟にガイドを引っ掛けてすべらせていくだけなので、私のような不器用な人でもずれたりする心配がなく、均一に糊を塗っていけました。

多分この糊を考えた人が天才なのですが、初めて塗ってもきれいに塗れることに、謎の自信が湧いてくる不思議。

初心者ならではのちょっとした失敗はありましたが、大きなトラブルはなく、とてもキレイに仕上がりました。何事もやってみるものです。

今回は子どもたちも一緒にやりました（やらされた）が、全員初めての経験だったので思いの外楽しんでできました。寒くなる前に少しづつ大掃除ならぬこまめな小掃除をして、今年こそは慌てない年末を過ごしたいです。

The temperature has dropped dramatically since last night, and Nagoya feels colder than yesterday, so I have started to use my coat. As it is getting colder, as a nabe (hot pot) lover, I am happy that it is the season to eat more delicious nabe.

The forecast was that it would get colder from this week, so now is a good time when it is still warm! A while ago, my sisters and I made plans to go out for the first time in many years. We decided to replace the shoji screens in my parents’ house for the first time in many years.

But we are beginners at re-covering. How good would the quality be? If it was going to be like this, I should have done it with my mother while she was still here….

Shoji screens, which are made of paper pasted onto a wooden frame, are traditional Japanese fixtures with a long history. The shoji used today is believed to have originated as yarido, which were used in the outbuildings of the shinden-zukuri style.

At that time, sliding doors, sliding screens, and folding screens were also called “shoji. In the late Heian period (794-1185), “myojoshi,” which are related to modern shoji, were produced, and they came to be clearly distinguished from fusuma (sliding doors).

In the Muromachi period (1333-1573), shoji screens came to be used in shoin-style architecture and became common in daily life. It is said that shoji paper, also called shoin paper, is a remnant from the days when it was used in shoin rooms.

In the Edo period (1603-1867), shoji paper was used for various purposes, and various types of shoji paper were produced. There are various types of shoji, depending not only on interior design but also on the amount of sunlight inside the room and the scenery outside.

There are also various other types of shoji, such as “koshiita shoji,” which have a board called koshiita at the bottom, “yukimi shoji,” which have part of the door frame made of glass, and “nekoma shoji,” which allow cats to freely enter and exit even when the door is closed.

Perhaps the most difficult part of re-covering shoji screens for beginners is gluing them to the cleats.
Just hearing the word “gluing” makes it sound very difficult, but this traditional method of gluing is said to be the most cost-effective and inexpensive way of gluing, as it is gentle to the fittings.

However, applying glue with a brush sounds difficult, and cleanup is messy, so I would prefer to avoid it…. So this time we used glue for shoji paper, which does not require a brush.

You can buy it at home centers, so beginners, those who are not confident, or those who are lazy should not hesitate to select it. (Laughs) Since all I had to do was hook the guide to the cleats and slide it on, even a clumsy person like me could apply the glue evenly without worrying about it shifting.

Perhaps the person who came up with this glue is a genius, but the fact that I was able to apply it cleanly for the first time gave me a mysterious confidence boost.

There were a few little mistakes that only a beginner can make, but there were no major problems and it turned out very beautifully. It is something that can be tried.

This time, the children did it together (they were made to do it), and since it was the first experience for all of them, they enjoyed it more than I thought they would. I would like to do a little bit of cleaning before it gets cold, and welcome the New Year without any haste.

今日は岐阜県方面を少し車で走ったのですが、岐阜は紅葉がまさに今でした。お天気がもう少し良ければいい写真がとれたのですが、山々の紅葉は圧巻でしたよ。

今年の紅葉は紅葉の見頃は、秋（9～11月）の気温が低いと早まり、高いと遅れます。2024年は残暑の影響で平均気温が高くなり、10月までに見頃を迎えた山々は、東日本を中心に平年よりやや遅い見頃になっています。

皆さまこんにちは、スタッフＴでございます。

今日の名古屋、曇り空のおかげか少し肌寒く感じますが、この時期にしてははやり暖かい気がいたしますね。来週からは寒くなるようですが、ようやく季節に追いついてきた感じでしょうか。

街中に溢れるクリスマスデコレーションを見ても、暖かさのせいかいまいちしっくりこなかったのですが、ようやくそろそろ準備しようかなという気持ちになれそうです。

それにしても、毎年思うことなのですが、お店に並ぶクリスマス飾り、どんどん早くなっていませんか。ハロウィンが終わるといきなりクリスマスというのはいくらなんでもと毎年思ってしまいます。

他の国はどうかというと、クリスマス仕様になっているところはほぼなく、日本だけが異様に早いようです。

アメリカでは、この時期はサンクス・ギビング・デー（感謝祭）という非常に大事な祝日があります。11月になってすぐにクリスマスのデコレーションをすればお客様からのクレームの嵐になりそうです。

ハロウィーンにせよ、クリスマスにせよ、もとはといえば、欧米の習慣。それを日本に持ち込んだものです。
ですが、サンクス・ギビングデーだけは、日本に持ち込もうにも、持ち込みようがありません。なにしろ、始まりがボストンへの移民がインディアンに助けられたことですので。

そのため、というか、しようがないので、日本では１０月３１日のハロウィーンが終わると、いきなりクリスマスになってしまうというカラクリのようです。

いつだったか、日本の遊園地で、クリスマスの飾りつけとともに、「世界一早いクリスマス」というキャッチ・フレーズをつけたのを見たことがありますが、ちょっと恥ずかしく思ったことを思い出します。

ですが、海外文化の中の「おいしいところ」だけを持ってきて、日本文化とミックスさせてひとつのものにしてしまう「いいとこどり」の精神も捨てたものではありません。

クリスマスカードのバリエーションもどんどん進化して、日本でしか見られないようなデザインや精巧な作りのものが生まれていて、和風のクリスマスカードなどはプレゼントにも喜ばれるようです。
年々簡素化している我が家のクリスマスですが、今年はちょっと華やかにしてみようかなという気持ちになってきております。さてさて、どうしようかな。

Today in Nagoya, it feels a little chilly thanks to cloudy skies, but it is still warm for this time of the year. It is going to get colder from next week, but it seems like we are finally catching up with the season.

I have been looking at all the Christmas decorations around town, but maybe it’s because of the warm weather that I haven’t felt quite right, but I finally feel like it’s time to get ready.

But I think that every year, the Christmas decorations in the stores are getting earlier and earlier. Every year I wonder if it is too much to ask for Christmas to suddenly appear after Halloween is over.

In other countries, there are almost no Christmas decorations, and only in Japan it seems to be unusually early.

In the U.S., Thanksgiving Day is a very important holiday, and if we put up Christmas decorations as soon as November, we are likely to receive a storm of complaints from customers.

Whether it is Halloween or Christmas, it is originally a Western custom. They were brought to Japan.
However, Thanksgiving Day is the one custom that we cannot bring to Japan. After all, it all started when immigrants to Boston were helped by the Indians.

Therefore, or rather, because there is no way to bring it into Japan, it seems to be a trick that after Halloween on October 31st, it suddenly becomes Christmas in Japan.

I remember seeing an amusement park in Japan once, with Christmas decorations and the catch phrase “the world’s earliest Christmas,” which made me feel a little embarrassed.

However, the spirit of “ichokodori,” or taking the “best parts” of foreign cultures and mixing them with Japanese culture to create a single product, is not something that should be abandoned.

Christmas card variations are evolving rapidly, with designs and elaborate creations that can only be found in Japan, and Japanese-style Christmas cards seem to be a popular choice for gifts.
Our family’s Christmas season has been getting simpler and simpler year by year, but this year, we are thinking of making it a little more festive. Now, what shall I do?

本日１１月１５日は「七五三」の日ですね。

今朝のニュースで「ペットの七五三」の様子が流れていて驚きました。ご祈祷の間も飼い主の膝の上でおとなしく座っており、写真に撮られ慣れているのか、写真館での撮影もしっかりとカメラ目線で愛くるしい表情を見せていました。我が家の七五三のドタバタ劇を思い起こすと、信じられないような羨ましいよう複雑な気持ちがいたしました。

さて最近お伺いしたお宅で聞いたお話ですが、ご実家をしばらく空き家にされている間に空き巣に入られたそうです。

窓ガラスを破り侵入されていたようで、空き家とはいえ恐ろしいお話ですね。

物騒なニュースが増えてきておりますので、皆さまくれぐれもお気を付けくださいませ。

様々なタイプの防犯グッズの売れ行きも伸びているようで、人が通ると反応するセンサーなどお手頃なお値段で売られているようです。私も実家に設置しようかと考えております。（人感センサーは壊されないように、なるべく高い所に設置しするとよいそうです。）

泥棒の事前の電話リサーチも巧妙になってきているようで、「お久しぶりです」などの会話からはじまり、マニュアルなどに従って、家族構成や平日の予定など聞き出すようですのでご家族の方にも注意喚起してみてはいかがでしょうか。

私の両親も「絶対に大丈夫！」といつも言いますが、かなりの技術を駆使して向かってきますので油断大敵です！

という私も気を引き締めてまいります。

今年もあとわずかとなりました。皆さまどうか穏やかに過ごせますように。

Today, November 15, is “Shichi-Go-San” day.
I was surprised to see a scene of a “pet’s 75th birthday” on the news this morning. The pet was sitting quietly on its owner’s lap during the prayer, and it seemed to be accustomed to being photographed, looking at the camera and showing a lovely expression. When I recalled our family’s Shichi-Go-San slapstick event, I had mixed feelings of disbelief and envy.
I recently visited a home where the family’s house had been vacant for some time and was burglarized.
It seems that the break-in occurred by breaking the window glass, which is a frightening story even though the house was vacant.
As the number of disturbing news is increasing, we would like to ask everyone to please be careful.
It seems that the sales of various types of security goods are increasing, such as sensors that react when people pass by, and they are sold at reasonable prices. I am thinking of installing one at my parents’ house. (I heard that it is best to install the motion sensors as high up as possible to prevent them from being broken.)
It seems that thieves are becoming more and more sophisticated in their research in advance by phone, starting with a conversation such as “It’s been a while. They may start with a conversation such as “It’s been a long time.” According to a manual, they may ask about your family structure and weekday plans, so it is a good idea to alert your family members.
My parents always say, “It’s absolutely safe! but they are very skilled and will be coming at you, so be on your guard!
I will be on my toes as well.

先日の予告通り行って参りましたよ…。

『相国寺承天閣美術館開館40周年記念 相国寺展──金閣・銀閣　鳳凰がみつめた美の歴史〗

朝から臨んだのですが思っていたよりも大盛況でして、チケット売り場は長蛇の列が。いきなり焦りましたが、チケットは前売りを購入しておりましたのでほっとしながら展示会場へ。

展示は時代ごと5章にわかれておりまして、いきなり開祖である夢想疎石の像や墨蹟などに圧倒されました。会場内の沢山の人で展示物の近づくのもなかなかの状態です。そんな時のために今回は音声ガイドを奮発しまして、ナビゲーター向井理さんの声に癒されながらの鑑賞。人込みを待つ間、向井さんの音声でしばし待ちながらの鑑賞となりました。

今回の展示でいきなり印象的だったのは、その保存状態の素晴らしさです。どの作品も当時の色が鮮明に残っており、保存状態のよさに感心致しました。教科書でおなじみの足利義満像も教科書のとおりの鮮明さでした。また、室町幕府の御用絵師とされる相国寺の画僧、如拙や周文から雪舟、狩野派、若冲など、どの時代の作品にも芸術家を育てることに注力を注いでいた相国寺の意向が伝わってきます。

個人的に好きだったのは、周文の「十牛絵巻」でしょうか。ちょっとアニメチックな10の展開の物語なのですが、その画の繊細さもそうですが、周文のアニメ（失礼しました）の流れ方も大切な尊い教えにもかかわらず、ちょっとくすっと笑えて来ました。

そして、ぜったい外してはいけないのは国宝「無学祖元墨蹟（与長楽寺一翁偈語）」。祖元は来日して無学派（仏光派）の祖となり、鎌倉の建長寺・円覚寺に兼住して日本の臨済宗の発展の基礎をつくった僧侶なのですが、この墨蹟は来日してすぐに書かれたものらしいです。この墨蹟はいろいろなところに伝わり、現在はこの相国寺へ所蔵されております。この書の意味は仏を讃える詩のようですが、自分の能力のなさで読めないのがいささか残念でありますが。

そしてフライヤーにも掲載されているあの丸山応挙の「牡丹孔雀図」のリアルな色彩をみることができ、これは感動でありました。画からはみ出さんばかりの孔雀が脳裏に焼き付いています。また、なんといっても伊藤若冲作品の展示数の多さが多かったのですが、「鹿苑寺大書院障壁画」が多数会場いっぱいに展示されており、それはそれは圧巻であり、若冲ファンは是非あの空間に身を投じてほしいものです。

実際の大書院にしつらえた画像も流されおり、こんな映像をみてしまうとこれは絶対いつか現地（相国寺）へ足を運ばねばいけない…、そんなスイッチが入ってそわそわしてきたのですが、時計をみると入場からすでに2時間経っていたことにも驚きました。

『相国寺承天閣美術館開館40周年記念 相国寺展──金閣・銀閣　鳳凰がみつめた美の歴史〗は、11月27日まで愛知県美術館にて開催されておりますので、ご興味あります方はぜひ！。

As I announced the other day, I have been to the exhibition….

I went to the “Shokokuji Jotenkaku Art Museum 40th Anniversary Exhibition: The History of Beauty in the Golden and Silver Pavilions”.

I went to the exhibition in the morning, but it was more successful than I expected and there was a long line at the ticket counter. I was suddenly impatient, but I was relieved to go to the exhibition hall because I had purchased the ticket in advance.

The exhibition was divided into five chapters, one for each period. It was difficult to get close to the exhibits due to the large number of people in the exhibition hall. I was so excited to have an audio guide this time that I was able to enjoy the exhibits while being comforted by the voice of the navigator, Mr. Osamu Mukai. While waiting for the crowds to arrive, we waited for Mukai-san’s voice to soothe us while we viewed the exhibition.

What was suddenly impressive about this exhibition was the wonderful state of preservation. I was impressed by the excellent state of preservation. The statue of Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, familiar from textbooks, was just as clear as in the textbooks. Also, the works of the Shokokuji temple painters, from Jyotai and Shubun to Sesshu, Kano school, and Jakuchu, all of whom are considered to be the official painters of the Muromachi Shogunate, show the intention of the temple, which devoted itself to nurturing artists in every period.

My personal favorite was probably Shubun’s “Ten Cow Scrolls. It is a story of ten slightly cartoonish developments, and the way Shuwen’s animation (pardon the pun) flowed, as well as the delicacy of the paintings, made me giggle a little despite the important and precious teachings.

And the National Treasure “MUGAKU SOGEN Sumiseki (YO CHORAKU-ji ICHIO GEKI)” is not to be missed. Sogen was the founder of the Muhaku school (Bukko-ha) and a monk who lived at Kenchoji Temple and Engakuji Temple in Kamakura and laid the foundation for the development of the Rinzai school of Zen Buddhism in Japan. This ink rubbings was written soon after his arrival in Japan, and has been handed down to various places and is now in the possession of Shokokuji Temple. The meaning of this calligraphy seems to be a poem praising Buddha, though I regret that I cannot read it due to my poor ability.

I was also impressed to see the realistic colors of Maruyama Okyo’s “Peony and Peacock,” which is also shown on the flyer. The peacock, which almost protrudes from the painting, is burned into my mind. The most impressive thing about the exhibition was the large number of works by Jakuchu Ito, and the “Shoin paintings of Rokuonji Temple” were displayed in the entire exhibition hall.

The images of the actual Daishoin were also shown on the screen, which made me feel like I had to visit the temple someday… I was so excited that I was surprised to see that two hours had already passed since I entered the museum.

The exhibition “Shokokuji Jotenkaku Art Museum 40th Anniversary: The History of Beauty in the Golden and Silver Pavilions” will be held at the Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art until November 27, 2012.
