Hello everyone.

When I went to Kyoto the other day, I entered a coffee shop.

I searched for “# Kyoto Cafe” on Instagram in advance to find out if there was something I was interested in.

Since I’m going alone, I was looking for a place where I could enter even by myself, and I found a nice coffee shop that I didn’t care about, so I decided to stop by and included it in my plan.

The coffee shop is “Coffee Soiree” in Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto.

It is a good old coffee shop that opened in 1948 (Showa 23) and continues to this day.

The name of the restaurant, Soiree, means “night party” or “nice night” in French. Surprisingly, the interior of the store is blue-lit, but I think it should match the meaning of “night party” and “nice night”.

And the blue lighting in the store was decided by Mr. Rokuro Uemura, a dyer who is a friend of the founder, from the advice that “a light that makes women look beautiful”. Therefore, it was sometimes used as a meeting place. For women, it may be a good date spot.

In addition, blue lighting has a high relaxing effect and a calming effect. I just introduced blue lighting to the streets in a British city. In some cases, the number of crimes has decreased. Blue lighting … It’s a good thing.

(The letters on the menu table in the photo mean “Welcome to you” in French. That’s wonderful.)

There are many pictures on the wall inside the store, so you may have seen it! There was even something I thought. Women’s drawings were also drawn on coasters and cups, and were drawn by Seiji Togo. That’s right … You’ve probably seen it.

Have you ever heard of the name Seiji Togo? You may understand it by looking at the picture. I think many people have seen it once.

As a beautiful painter of the Showa era, he prevailed in the postwar period and seems to have been used in many bookstore magazines and wrapping paper. The female figure depicted is sweet and very attractive.

At the cafe Soiree, the founder was interested in decorating it because it fits the image of the store, but he was taken by the Nika Association writer to visit the store.

After that, he drew many beautiful women. Therefore, it seems that the paintings other than Seiji Togo are mainly decorated by the members of the Nika Association. It’s the result of coincidence.

There are many menus, and I was at a loss because of all the attractive looks. So I asked for a popular place called Jelly Punch Float.

It contained jellies of various colors and was very cute.

The cider used here was released in 1889 and is said to be a gentle carbonic acid made by the same manufacturing method for over 100 years. I felt particular about it.

I wondered if the recent youth language “emoi” would fit.

(Emo … It seems to be used when you are attacked by comfortable nostalgia and good sentimental)

The inside of the store and the menu were nice and very nice, but for some reason I came up with the word “store turnover” and went out early … If I had a chance, I would definitely like to go and take a closer look at the store with my friends.

You can also see the photos inside the store on the Soiree website, and there is also an official Instagram, so

If you are interested, please take a look.

Hello everyone, this is Staff Y.

It seems that some areas have issued heavy rain warnings today, so please pay close attention to news and other information.

Many of you know that the description in history textbooks has changed significantly over the last decade or so. Prince Shotoku became Prince Shotoku, and the establishment of the Kamakura Shogunate was from 1192 to 1185. It is a world of history that is often thought to have little change compared to other fields, but as research progresses, new interpretations and new facts are being announced one after another. However, on the other hand, it is also true that there are still many unsolved mysteries in Japanese history.

Among them, the following three major themes are said to be particularly popular and popular. The ancient “Yamatai country”. “Honnoji Incident” during the Warring States period. “Ryoma Sakamoto Darkness” at the end of the Edo period. These mysteries and elucidation itself have a history, and it is really interesting to explore them. This time, let’s update about “Yamatai Kuni” where the information is complicated every time.

Yamatai is one of the countries that existed in ancient Japan and was ruled by the Queen. Although it is mentioned in Chinese history books, it is still unclear where it was in Japan, and various places are making a name for themselves based on various interpretations. It has a long history, and it is said that a full-scale debate about the location of Yamatai began in the latter half of the Edo period, and the controversy continues even after the Meiji Restoration with the participation of Arai Hakuseki and Motoori Norinaga.

It is often divided into the Kinki theory that it was in the Kinki region and the Kyushu theory that it was in the central and northern part of Kyushu. There is no choice but to prove it from the evidence from the excavation survey. In addition, the description of “Wei Shi Yajinden” is not accurate, and the fact that the distance and direction can be read arbitrarily depending on the reading and interpretation may be a factor that heated up the position discussion.

At that time, Japan did not yet have a unified nation, so it is thought that the great tribes were allotted to each place, and the large, medium and small tribes were competing for victory, or repeating merging and merging, and there are such ruins in each place. This has also complicated the Yamatai dispute, but it seems to be recognized as Japan’s longest mystery that various theories have been confused over the past 200 years. I can’t show you all of them here, but I’m sorry to say that there is no decisive factor anyway.

The issue is also divided in what factors can prove that it was Yamatai country, but for example, evidence such as wooden tablets and marks that Himiko exchanged messengers with Wei appears, and it is clear from burial items etc. If there is a grave that can be identified as Himiko’s, it seems that it will be solved by itself, but it would be nice if such relics came out conveniently, but unfortunately such a thing has not been found yet.

This time, a research group of the Dating Research Department of the Institute for Space and Global Environment, Nagoya University investigated the peach seeds excavated in 2009 at the Makimuku site (northwest of Mt. Miwa) in Sakurai City, Nara Prefecture. It turned out that it was a peach seed that was eaten for almost 100 years from 135 to 230 AD, and released an argument that there might have been a Yamatai country that matches the age of this site. That is. The factor is that peach seeds are a new way of thinking.

According to the release of Nagoya University, a large amount of 2800 peach seeds were excavated from the pit of the site of a large building at Makimuku Heritage, 12 of which were measured by radiocarbon dating and 12 of them. Was found to be likely to have been abandoned in the pit in about the same year.

There may be an error due to the length of life of the organism, but since peaches produce fruits every year, the seeds are only a sample for that year, and it seems that it is suitable for radiocarbon dating. I see. So far, radiocarbon dating surveys have not been conducted on the remains of animals and plants excavated from the Makimuku site, earthenware, wood products, etc., and peaches that are well preserved and suitable as annual samples were used. Yet another research group examined two peach species excavated from the same pit and found that they were of the same age.

In oriental civilizations, including Japan, the fruit called peach has long been prized as an object of festivals, beliefs, and spells like apples in the West. Being in China is like studying on a blog before …

Around this time, there is a folkloric debate about peaches, and as with Yamatai, nationalism is involved and it is in a complicated and troublesome state, but the plant itself called peaches is native to China, and peaches are There is no doubt that the peach worship is of Chinese origin, such as the Queen Mother of the West who ate and gained immortality and the legend of Taoyuan Township. The story of throwing a peach at Izanamino Mikoto, who chased Izanagi Nomikoto, in “Kojiki” is also considered to be a depiction from Chinese folklore. It is said that peaches (drupes) have been cultivated in China for more than 6000 years, and it was probably passed on to Japan. It is inferred that it is highly likely that it is the location of Yamatai country because it is linked to the excavation of a large number of peach seeds at Makimuku Heritage and the ages match.

The Makimuku heritage site, which has been thought to be from the 4th century, has been strongly suggested to be from the 3rd century by recent research, and there is a deep-rooted chopstick grave burial mound called Himiko’s grave. Will the peach seeds excavated from the Makimuku heritage site, which is also a transitional site, put an end to the Yamatai dispute? Shall we?

Today from the hot topics in the streets .

First of all, it seems that the sweets “Piyorin” from here in Nagoya have become a hot topic again.

Local sweets in the shape of a lovely chick that can only be bought at Nagoya Station.

Today, July 1st is the 10th anniversary of our birth. Crackling crackling.

A few years ago, the “Piyorin Challenge” became a hot topic on SNS.

Piyorin is so soft that it easily loses its shape, and when you open the box, your face collapses! With this difficulty, can you safely bring Piyorin home? There were a lot of people who challenged like a game.

Whether it succeeds or fails, it’s rather a miserable appearance of Piyorin who has failed and messed up .

It seems that it was exciting on SNS that that person could post a photo with impact.

Many of the processes for making Piyorin are manual work, so it will take a considerable amount of time to complete.

I think it’s a difficult task to put the combs, eyes, beaks, feathers, etc. made of chocolate in exquisite positions that look lovely.

(I was finishing the bread on the panda’s face in the bread class. The expression changes a lot depending on where the small parts are attached. I’m sorry that I often end up with a ugly chaos. Because it was completed with a nice face …)

Then, what spurred the latest popularity was the “snack” of Souta Fujii’s throne.

A game with Masayuki Toyoshima Ryuo at the Nagoya Nogakudo the other day.

The sweets I ordered for the afternoon snack on the first day were this “Piyorin Ice”, which made the internet rush.

Since the official website is temporarily down, I’m impressed by everyone’s eyes.

This is a collaboration Piyorin, and it seems that the vanilla ice cream using Nagoya Cochin eggs and the inside are mango sorbet instead of pudding.

It seems that it will be sold at the Nagoya Marriott Associa Hotel from today, and staff I who visited early one day unfortunately could not meet Ice Piyorin and cried.

At this time, you will be healed by such a heartwarming topic.

The chicks are unconditionally too cute.

I think it would be interesting to get a good “new Nagoya specialty” when you see it from outside the prefecture, as well as those who live in or near Nagoya.

From Aichi Prefecture connection to the next topic.

The pre-event entitled “Ghibli Park, one year to open” will be held, and Ghibli fans all over the country will have more fun from now on.

From July 17th, the “Ghibli Exposition” will be held at the Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art.

Focusing on “Howl’s Castle”, architectural models will be open to the public, and in the area called “Nekobas Atelier”, arts and crafts collected from the east and west will be exhibited in a space that can only be seen this time. Yeah.

You will also want to look back at the many masterpieces.

It is said that the only Western confectionery in the world that uses Ghibli characters will be manufactured, so will this be a hot topic on the Internet again?

Nagoya is often said to be a little sad because there are few things to see and shopping is inconvenient, but if it gets noticed, it has the power to rise in popularity at once.

I am writing every day that our staff can refer to the spots and recommendations introduced on this blog as much as possible, but I think that I will try it for my outing plan and a little challenge. I hope you can get a chance.

If you notice it, it will be in the second half of July as early as July.

We have to deal with various changes every day, such as unstable weather and sudden heat, but I hope that even chicks will have more and more small fun.

And from today to tomorrow, there is a fear of heavy rain at the warning level nationwide, so please be careful.
