我慢できずに除湿器をレンタルしましたが、届くのが１週間後でした。

それまでに梅雨が終わってほしいような、終わってほしくないような複雑な気持ちでございます。

今日は以前行った印象深い美術館をご紹介したいと思います。

三重県四日市市にあります、BANKO-archive-design-museumでございます。

特別展を見に行ったのですが、それはまた次回お話したいと思います。

現在は常設の明治〜昭和時代のデザイン性の高い萬古焼を展示しているそうです。

お店の名前のBANKOとは萬古焼のことなんですね。

こちら外観は普通のビルでして、ぼーっとしていると何も知らずに通り過ぎてしまいます。

外と違って中は真っ白なおしゃれな空間になっていまして、併設のカフェもございます。

チーズケーキが有名とのことで、私もいただいてまいりました。

こじんまりとした静かな空間にシンプルな展示でとても落ち着きます。

入り口から展示までの細道にはグッズが置いてあり、現代にも通じそうなおしゃれなアンティーク雑貨やお皿などが置いてあります。

一見手に取りにくそうな古いものや歴史のあるものでも、若い人が気軽に楽しめるような空間になっているのが素敵でした。

店内も小さいので、あまり人もおらずじっくり作品を見ることができます。

私が行ったときは、まだ古美術で働いておりませんでしたので、今行ったらまた違った見方ができそうです。

Today I would like to introduce you to the impressive museums I visited before.

This is BANKO-archive-design-museum located in Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture.

“Yokkaichi Banko ware” has been developed as a local industry in Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture since the Meiji era, and was designated as a traditional craft in 1979 (Showa 54). The purple mud teapot, which is one of the representative pottery of Banko, is said to be the best way to taste green tea because it contains a lot of natural iron.

Yokkaichi, the production center of Banko ware, is located along the Tokaido Line, and its culture and distribution have developed as a post town with excellent transportation. However, there are large kilns such as Seto, Mino, Tokoname, Shigaraki, and Kyoto around it, and it is difficult to collect soil suitable for pottery, so it was not a blessed environment.

However, that is why we have created our own originality through many ingenuity and ingenuity, such as the development of new technologies, modeling and design, and the development of distribution with overseas manufacturers, which are not found in other ceramic industries.

Especially from the Meiji to Showa eras, Banko ware, which was born from industry and is full of kitsch charm, appeals to our lives and sensibilities living in the present age.

Koichi Uchida, a ceramist, planned a museum to illuminate and archive the highly designed Banko ware, which was born from the wisdom of such an industry.

The logo design of the museum is done by Ayumi Ohashi, an illustrator and designer who is from Mie prefecture and has a connection with Yokkaichi city, Nobuhiro Yamaguchi, a graphic designer who handles all the graphics such as books and signs in the hall, and Makoto Koizumi, a designer who designs the museum. Doing.

Then, in November 2015, the “BANKO archive design museum” was opened on the first floor of the historic Manko Industrial Hall, which was built in 1954.

I went to see a special exhibition, and I would like to talk about it again next time.

Currently, it is said that Banko ware with high design from the Meiji to Showa period is on display.

The name of the restaurant, BANKO, is Banko ware.

The exterior looks like a normal building, and if you’re vacant, you’ll pass by without knowing anything.

Unlike the outside, the inside is a white and fashionable space, and there is also an attached cafe.

I also received it because the cheesecake is famous.

It is very calm with a simple exhibition in a small and quiet space.

Goods are placed on the narrow path from the entrance to the exhibition, and fashionable antique miscellaneous goods and plates that seem to be familiar to the present age are placed.

It was wonderful that the space was designed so that young people could easily enjoy it, even if it was old or old, which seemed difficult to pick up.

The inside of the store is small, so you can take a closer look at the works without too many people.

When I went, I hadn’t worked in antique art yet, so if I go now, I think I can see it in a different way.
