名古屋は最近、連日暖かく長袖では少し汗をかいてしまうような天気です。

私のブログはいつもはじめに天気を語りがちと知人に言われました。笑

スタッフＭの恒例としてしまおうか悩み中です。

 

ちなみに、天気の良い日は今週まで。来週は天気も崩れ、雨が降るそうです。

お天気の話はここら辺にして、昨日のブログで私が「今いちばん行ってみたいところ」についてＬＡの美術館を取り上げさせていただきましたが、今日はブログの最後にも少し書かせていただいたニュージーランドの街について書かせていただきます。

 

私が訪れたのは、ニュージーランドの首都、ウェリントン。ちなみにニュージーランドの首都はオークランドじゃないの？！と思った方いらっしゃったのではないでしょうか。

私も身内がウェリントンに留学をしていたこともあり、旅行に行くことにしたのですが、それまでてっきりオークランドが首都だと思っていました。

でもニュージーランドで何か起きると映される国会議事堂もちゃんとこのウェリントンにあるんですよ。

 

 

ウェリントンはクック海峡に面する北島最南端部に位置し、比較的小さい都市ですが、水辺の遊歩道、砂浜、活気のある港、カラフルな家屋など。多くの見どころがあります。

 

 

今回は私が実際に行ってみて、是非皆さまにも行っていただきたいというおすすめの場所が３つあるのでご紹介させてください。

 

 

 

まず１つ目に、ニュージーランド国立博物館「テ・パパトンガレワ」です。

 

 

 

１９８８年にオープンしたニュージーランドの文化や歴史について学ぶことができる博物館で、「テ・パパ・トンガレワ」とはニュージーランドの先住民マオリ族の使うマオリ語で「宝のある場所」という意味です。その名の通り、展示品は２万５０００点にものぼります。

 

ニュージーランドの案内板は英語とマオリ語の２つで書かれていたり、国歌の一番の歌詞もマオリ語になっているくらい先住民族の文化をとても大切にしている国です。ニュージーランドという国を知るには、一番良い博物館になっていると思います。

 

 

 

 

次に２つ目、「ウェリントン植物園」。

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ウェリントン市街を走る名物にもなっている赤いケーブルカーに乗ってアクセスすることができる植物園で、２５ヘクタールの広大な園内には、たくさんの緑と花々であふれていて、ヒーリングにはぴったりの場所でした。

日本ではあまり見ることのない花にも出会えたりと、退屈せずに見てまわることができます。

またウェリントンはそこまで大きくない街なので、ケーブルカーで行った先の高台から街全体を見渡すことができます。街の景色と花々の組み合わせが最高のスポットです。

 

 

 

 

最後に３つ目、「キューバ・ストリート」。

 

 

 

ウェリントンを満喫するには外せない場所で、おしゃれなカフェや美味しいレストラン、雑貨屋などが軒を連ねます。

時間帯によっては、ストリートミュージシャンや、大道芸人のパフォーマンスも楽しむことができ、私が実際に行った時も、パフォーマンスをしていて和気藹々としていました。

 

 

通りの建物も独特な作りになっていて、見ているだけでも楽しむことができたり…

 

またウェリントンはヨーロッパからも注目される程、カフェ文化が盛んなので、若い方はカフェ巡りなんかされても楽しいかもしれません。実際に、ちょっと歩けばカフェが見つかり、コーヒー好きの私にはたまらない場所でした。

 

まだまだおすすめしたいところですが、ここらへんにしておきます。

 

実際に行ってみた感想として、ウェリントンの街全体がアートのような感じで、お散歩するだけでも楽しむことができる街だと思いました。旅行大好きな私としては、また行きたい国です。

I’ve talked about the weather around here, and yesterday’s blog covered the LA museum about “the place I want to go the most”, but today I wrote a little about New Zealand at the end of the blog. I will write about the city of New Zealand.

 

I visited Wellington, the capital of New Zealand. By the way, isn’t Auckland the capital of New Zealand? !! I think there was someone who thought that. Since my relatives were studying abroad in Wellington, I decided to go on a trip, but until then I thought that Auckland was the capital. But the Capitol, which is supposed to happen in New Zealand, is also in Wellington.

 

Wellington is a relatively small city on the southernmost tip of the North Island facing the Cook Strait, but with waterside promenades, sandy beaches, lively harbors and colorful houses. There are many attractions.

 

The first is the Museum of New Zealand Te Papatongarewa.

Opened in 1988, it is a museum where you can learn about New Zealand’s culture and history. “Te Papa Tongarewa” is a Maori word used by New Zealand’s indigenous Maori people to mean “a place with treasure.” As the name suggests, there are 25,000 exhibits.New Zealand’s information board is written in both English and Maori, and the first lyrics of the national anthem are also in Maori, so it is a country that values ​​indigenous culture very much. I think it’s the best museum to get to know New Zealand.

 

Next is the “Wellington Botanic Garden”.

A botanical garden accessible by ride on the red cable car, which is also a specialty of the city of Wellington, the vast 25-hectare garden is full of greenery and flowers, making it a perfect place for healing. bottom. You can see flowers that you rarely see in Japan without getting bored. Wellington isn’t that big, so you can see the whole city from the hills ahead by cable car. The combination of city views and flowers is the best spot.

 

Finally, the third one is “Cuba Street”.

It’s a must-see place to enjoy Wellington, with fashionable cafes, delicious restaurants and general merchandise stores. Depending on the time of day, I could enjoy the performances of street musicians and street performers, and when I actually went there, I was performing and being harmonious.The buildings on the street are also unique, and you can enjoy them just by looking at them … Wellington has a lot of cafe culture that attracts attention from Europe, so young people may enjoy visiting cafes. In fact, I found a cafe just a short walk away, and it was an irresistible place for me, who loves coffee.

When I actually went there, I thought that the whole city of Wellington was like art, and I could enjoy it just by taking a walk. As a travel lover, I want to go there again.
