本日は動物のお話をしていこうと思います。

最近見た映画？になるんでしょうか？

「ワイルド・メトロポリス‐躍動する動物たち‐」のシーズン１を見ました。

５０分程度のものなので映画に比べると短くドラマ感覚で見ることが出来ます。

 

内容はニューヨークなどの都市に適応し暮らしている動物たちの紹介です。

自然界にはなかったものを上手に利用し都市生活に順応している動物たちの新たな生態に迫る！という感じで色々な場所の色々な動物たちの紹介が続きます。

２０１８年に公開されたものなので、今現在はどうなっているのかは分かりませんが、面白かったので少しだけ話していきたいと思います。

 

まず映像が始まってすぐにカワウソの都市生活が紹介されました。

シンガポールの都市で暮らすカワウソの家族たちの都市内での引っ越しのお話です。シンガポールは川などの水域が多いので陸と水のどちらも必要とするカワウソにとっては暮らしやすいかもしれませんし、引っ越しの際も川を利用して新しい住処を探します。

川があるのでそこで魚などの餌を確保するようです。ちなみにカワウソは自分の体重の４分の１の量のご飯を一日に摂取するそうで、まだ小さい子供のカワウソは魚を取ることは難しいので、親や年上の兄弟の取ったものを貰って食べます。

もちろん都市なので他の動物たちに遭遇することもあります。

散歩している犬に遭遇した時はカワウソ４匹ほどで威嚇し犬を追い払っていました。

 

 

都市と言われれば…ニューヨークは欠かせないですね。

そんなニューヨークでは蟻が都市に適応しています。

ニューヨークに住む蟻の数はおよそニューヨーク市民の２００倍だそうです。

まぁ蟻は小さいのでそれくらいいいても不思議ではないですね。

そしてニューヨークの蟻はそこで年間約６万個のホットドッグを食べているそうです。（地面に落ちているものなどです）元々ホットドッグは蟻に適した食べ物ではありませんが、順応していった結果ですね…。

 

また、映像を見ていて都市と言っていいのか？と思ったのですがアマゾンの川に暮らすカワイルカがいるそうです。これは都市に暮らすというより、人と暮らすカワイルカといった感じですね。

ここに住む人たちは、網漁をする時にボートの上から魚をチラつかせてそれをカワイルカに与えます。カワイルカが来ることによってそれに怯えた魚は網側に来るそうです。ある意味チームプレイですね。

そして、そこに住む人々はそのイルカに感謝もしているので採れた魚の半分はカワイルカに与えるそうです。カワイルカは手軽に食料を手に入れることができ、人々もカワイルカのおかげでより多くの魚を採ることができます。

そのカワイルカはそこに住む子供たちと川の中で遊んでいたり、主従関係のない友達のような関係に見えました。

 

タイにあるロッブリーという地域では、猿が街中に普通に暮らしていました。

日本では街に猿が１匹でも現れるとニュースになりますが…。

日本でいう奈良県に鹿がいっぱいいて鹿せんべいが売っているような感じですね。

その地域では、寺院に多くの食べ物をお供えするのですが、それらを猿が食べているという状況でした。

その寺院の見た目も動物園の猿山のような作りで、猿の数も相まって見た目は動物園でした。もちろん観光地にもなっていたようです。

そんなタイのロッブリーが現在どのような状況なのか気になったので、調べてみると２０２０年の記事が出てきました。

コロナの影響で観光客が減り、凶暴化した猿たちが手に負えない状態のようです。事態を収束するために住人たちが餌を与えるようにしたそうですが、その結果猿の繁殖力が強くなり数が増加しました。住居に網をかけたり、猿の侵入を防いでいるそうです。

猿は自由に生活し、人間はまるで檻の中にいます。

少しでも均衡が崩れると、このようになってしまうのですね…。

 

わたしは公園でカラスの巣を見たことがあるのですが、その中にハンガーがありました。

それも問題視されているようですが、ある意味都市で順応した結果だと思っています。

都市生活は動物にとって危険が多いですが、メリットがデメリットを上回るようですね…。

Since there is a river, it seems to secure food such as fish there. By the way, it seems that otters consume a quarter of their body weight in a day, and it is difficult for otters of young children to catch fish, so I got the ones taken by my parents and older siblings. I will eat it.

Of course, since it is a city, you may encounter other animals.

When I encountered a dog walking, I threatened to drive away the dog with about 4 otters.

Speaking of cities … New York is indispensable.

In New York, ants are adapting to the city.

The number of ants living in New York is about 200 times that of New Yorkers.

Well, ants are small, so it’s no wonder it’s that good.

And ants in New York eat about 60,000 hot dogs there every year. Originally, hot dogs are not suitable food for ants, but they are the result of acclimatization.

 

Also, is it okay to call it a city while watching the video? I thought that there are dolphins living in the Amazon river. It’s more like a dolphin living with people than living in a city.

People who live here flick the fish from the top of the boat and give it to the dolphins when fishing nets. It is said that the fish that are frightened by the arrival of the Kawa dolphin will come to the net side. It’s a team play in a sense.

And the people who live there are also grateful for the dolphins, so half of the fish they catch will be given to the dolphins. Platanistoidea is easy to get food for, and people can catch more fish thanks to the platanistoidea.

The platanistoidea was playing in the river with the children who lived there, and looked like a friend with no master-slave relationship.

 

In the area of ​​Lopburi in Thailand, monkeys lived normally in the city.
