先日、京都国立近代美術館に行ってきました。

駆け込みで「ピピロッティ・リスト；あなたの眼はわたしの島」展を見に行きました。

友人に「結構よかったから、時間があったら行った方がいいよ～」と言われたので、行きたいと思い行動してしまいました。予定が合うのが最終日しかなかったので、その日に行きましたが結構人がいるなぁという印象があります。それだけ人気ということですかね…。

展覧会のポスターも色鮮やかで、おしゃれな雰囲気なので目を引きますよね。つぶれた人の顔も気になりますし…。

 

 

 

京都駅から京都国立近代美術館まではバス一本で行けたのでアクセスも良く、京都国立近代美術館の左前には赤くて大きな大鳥居があるので目印にもなります。そして、その大きな大鳥居をついでに見られるのも嬉しいですね。

近くには川が流れており、橋もかかっています。わたしが見たときには、カモが３羽泳いでいてとても可愛かったです。

京都国立近代美術館付近には、他にも有名な施設や場所があるので付近で色々まわってみるのもいいかもしれませんね。

 

この展示、わたしが行ったときは写真撮影が禁止になっていたので展覧会の様子がわかる写真はありませんが、とても素敵だったので話していきますね。

 

 

展示の仕方が自由で、まるでオシャレなミュージックビデオの中にいるような感覚になりました。

映像作品、音楽を融合させた作品も多く、子どもから大人まで楽しめる展示です。実際に来場者の中に家族で来ている人もたくさんいました。何も知らない人でも、感覚的に楽しめる展覧会です。

普通の展覧会の展示の仕方と大いに違い、まず入口で靴を脱ぎます。

会場内は靴を脱いだ状態で回るのですが、それだけでなぜかすごくプライベート空間のような気持になりました。

 

会場内に入ると、不思議な形の物や、ミラーのような素材の球体が吊り下げられていたり、不思議な空間です。

進んでいくと、ソファや棚、テーブルなどの家具が置いてある大きな部屋に辿り着きます。

置いてあるものは確かに身近なものですが、部屋のライトや壁紙、物の色が鮮やかで独特なので異空間にいるような感覚になります。ソファや椅子には実際に座ることができ、体験型、没入型のような、空間と一体できる状態です。ソファにはプロジェクターで映像が流されていたりするので、自分が座ると自分の体に映像が映されてなんとも言えない気持ちになりました。

 

展示の中でも驚いたものが、ベッドに横になって鑑賞する作品です。

天井から吊り下げられた不思議な形の板に投影された映像と音楽をベッドで横になりながら鑑賞します。ベッドは２人が横になれるサイズで、１つの部屋に７個の大きなベッドが置いてありそれだけで迫力があります。個人的には、周りの人、大人から子どもまで見ず知らずの他人が一緒に横になって映像を見ているのを見ることが変な状況だなと思ってしまいました。

終始リラックスして見ることのできる空間でした。

 

ピピロッティ・リストという人はビデオアートとインスタレーションを主にやっています。

ピピロッティの作品には、共通して女性性というテーマがありフェミニズムアートにおいても高い評価を受けています。

今回の展示は公式のHPにもある通り、身体、女性、自然、エコロジーをテーマにしています。展示作品は、五感を刺激してくれる面白いものばかりでした。

もう展覧会は終了してしまいましたが、ピピロッティ・リストと調べて動画欄を開くと彼女の作品を少し見ることが出来ます。

今回の展覧会でもあった「Ever is Over All」という作品がとても面白かったです。

映像の中で楽しそうに歩く女性が何台もの車の窓ガラスを割っていくのですが、途中で女性警官ともにこやかに挨拶を交わし、え？と思いながらもふふっと笑ってしまうようなシュールさがあります。

この作品はネットにあるので見ることができます。

The other day, I went to the National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto.

I rushed to see the “Pipilotti Rist; Your Eyes are My Island” exhibition.

My friend said, “It’s good, so if you have time, you should go”, so I wanted to go and acted. The schedule was only on the last day, so I went there on that day, but I get the impression that there are quite a few people. Is that so popular?

The posters of the exhibition are also colorful and have a fashionable atmosphere, so they are eye-catching. I’m also worried about the face of a crushed person …

It is easy to access from Kyoto Station to the National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto by a single bus, and there is a large red torii gate on the left front of the National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto, which is also a landmark. And it’s nice to see the big torii while you’re at it.

A river runs nearby and there is a bridge. When I saw it, three ducks were swimming and it was very cute.

There are other famous facilities and places near the National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto, so it might be a good idea to take a look around.

When I went to this exhibition, photography was prohibited, so I don’t have any pictures that show the state of the exhibition, but it was very nice, so I will talk about it.

The way of exhibition is free, and it makes me feel like I’m in a fashionable music video.

There are many works that combine video works and music, and it is an exhibition that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike. Many of the visitors actually came with their families. It is an exhibition that even people who do not know anything can enjoy it sensuously.

It’s very different from the way of exhibiting in a normal exhibition, first take off your shoes at the entrance.

I went around the venue with my shoes off, but for some reason it made me feel like a private space.

 

When you enter the venue, it is a mysterious space where strangely shaped objects and spheres made of materials such as mirrors are hung.

As you proceed, you will reach a large room with furniture such as sofas, shelves and tables.

The things that are placed are certainly familiar, but the lights, wallpaper, and colors of the things in the room are bright and unique, so it makes you feel like you are in a different space. You can actually sit on the sofa or chair, and you can integrate it with the space, such as experience-based or immersive. Images are being projected on the sofa by a projector, so when I sat down, the images were projected on my body, which made me feel uncomfortable.

 

One of the most surprising things in the exhibition is the work that you lie down on your bed and appreciate.

Watch the images and music projected on a mysteriously shaped board suspended from the ceiling while lying down on the bed. The bed is sized to allow two people to lie down, and there are seven large beds in one room, which is powerful by itself. Personally, I thought it was a strange situation to see strangers, from adults to children, lying down and watching the video.

It was a space where you could relax and see from beginning to end.

A person named Pipilotti Rist is mainly involved in video art and installation.

Pipilotti’s works have a common theme of femininity and are highly regarded in feminist art.

As you can see on the official website, this exhibition focuses on the theme of body, women, nature, and ecology. The exhibited works were all interesting and stimulated the five senses.

The exhibition is over, but you can see a little of her work by searching the Pipilotti List and opening the video section.

The work “Ever is Over All”, which was also this exhibition, was very interesting.

A woman walking happily in the video breaks the windowpanes of many cars, but on the way, she and the female police officer greet each other with a smile, huh? There is a surrealism that makes you laugh softly while thinking.
