二月も残すところあと一週間ほどとなりましたね。

2021年が始まってから、もう二ヵ月も経ってしまうなんて、にわかには信じられません！

スタッフYさんが、素敵な美術館の絵本を紹介してくださいましたので、今日は美術館のお話をしようと思います。

私は毎日、「今日は何の日」か調べることを楽しみにしています。

毎日が誰かの誕生日であったり、記念日であったりすることを実感いたします。

 

さて本日、2月20日は…

 

ニューヨークにメトロポリタン美術館が開館した日　だそうです。

メトロポリタン美術館は、一日で巡ることは困難であると言われるほどの規模を誇る、世界最大級の美術館だと言われています。ルーブル美術館、エルミタージュ美術館と並び、世界三大美術館のひとつにも数えられますね。

古代エジプトから、現代美術まで幅広い時代に渡る作品が展示されています。

 

1870年に設立され、ちょうど昨年で150周年を迎えています。そのことを記念して、150周年記念特別展も開催されていたそうです。

 

メトロポリタン美術館、いつか行ってみたいものです。

（私はゴッホの「糸杉のある麦畑」を一度見てみたいです。皆さまが、「一度見てみたい！」と思う絵画はなんでしょうか。）

 

本日の名古屋は日差しが暖かく、風も穏やかで過ごしやすい陽気です。

昼間には少し暖かくなりますが、朝夕はまだまだ寒さ厳しいですね。

寒暖差の激しい一日が続きますが、お体にお気をつけてお過ごしください。

Staff Y introduced us to a wonderful picture book of a museum, so today I would like to talk about a museum.

Today, February 20th… It’s the day the Metropolitan Museum of Art opened.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is said to be one of the largest museums in the world, boasting a scale that is said to be difficult to watch all the works in a day. Along with the Louvre Museum and the Hermitage Museum, it is one of the three major museums in the world.

Works from ancient Egypt to contemporary art are on display.

I would like to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art someday.

(I would like to see Van Gogh’s “Wheat Field with Cypress” . What kind of painting do you think “I want to see!”?)

The temperature of Nagoya is warm and the wind is calm today. It gets a little warm in the daytime, but it’s still cold in the morning and evening. The temperature difference will continue for a long day, please take good care of your health.
