なんとなく年始のバタバタが少々落ち着まいりました。生活を彩る何かしらの行事ごとやイベントも嫌いではないのですが、つまらない日々ではありますが淡々と流れていくこの平常モードも嫌いではありません。

 

そんな日々の中において、昨年に引き続き「気になったものは観ておこう。」が今年の目標でもあるのですが、その第一弾は昨年末から名古屋市美術館で開催されております

 

「ガウディとサグラダ・ファミリア展」

 

 

 

 

行って参りました。

 

 

昨年、たまたま家族が実際にサグラダ・ファミリアを訪れておりまして、まあまあ面白い画像をもらえましたので画像多めでお届けいたします。

 

あの独創的な未完成建造物サグラダ・ファミリアスサグラダ。誰もが知っている有名な建築家アントニ・ガウディの作ではりますがあまりにも歳月がかかり過ぎてしまって、工事中のイメージの方が色濃く印象に残っておりますのですが…。

 

 

 

 

 

 

ファミリアペイン・バルセロナを中心に活動した（1852-1926）彼が創り出した世界遺産に登録された独創的な建築群は、バルセロナの街を鮮やかに彩り、今なお訪れる世界中の人々に驚きと感動を与えており、それらを深く知ることができました。

この展覧会は、140年以上の時を経ていよいよ完成への道が見えてきたサグラダ・ファミリア聖堂にスポットを当て、100点を超える図面や模型、写真、資料、さらには最新の映像をまじえながら、サグラダ・ファミリア聖堂の造形の秘密に迫り、ガウディ建築のオリジナリティーを明らかにするという展覧会でありました。

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ところで、サグラダ・ファミリアが、いつ完成するのかは今世生きてきた人類にとっては大変気になるところであります。が、ご存じの方もおいででしょうが、なんと2026年聖堂中央の一番高い塔である「イエスの塔」の完成を目指しております。

 

ガウディがサグラダ・ファミリアの設計・建設に携わったのは彼が３１歳からでして、亡くなる７３歳まで彼はその人生を捧げるようにその設計建設に取り組みます。54年間捧げてきたのか…と、感慨深いと思ってしまいそうですが、ご存じの通り、彼の構想は壮大でして、この聖堂自分たちの代で完成するとは考えていなかったようであります。

 

そのため後世の仲間たちのために自分が描いた複雑な造形を、誰もが理解できるように模型として残しており、そのおかげでガウディが亡くなった後も聖堂を作り続けることが可能だったようであります。

 

しかし、これまでの道のりは容易なものではありませんでした。

 

スペインの内戦によって模型が破壊されたり、建設費の捻出などで建設は危機的な状況に。内戦後はその模型の復元するところから始ます。そればばかりではなく１４０年もの間、幾度も建設は危機に直面し中断をします。が、それでもなおガウディの意思を引き継いだ人々によって建設は続けられているのは、サグラダ・ファミリアの完成は、この140年の時間の中でもはや人類の希望に近いものにだんだんとなっていったのでしょうか。

 

また、現在は日本人の外尾悦郎さんが主任彫刻家として活躍していることも有名ですが、模型のなくなった個所を外尾氏らが試行錯誤し取り組んでいる番組などを先日拝見したしましたが、最後に掲げる「イエスの塔」にむかって、だんだんと様々な人の夢や希望が形となっているようにみえてもきました。

また、展覧会の中ではガウディが、サグラダ･ファミリアに込めた全てを彼のバックグランドからも紐解いております。

 

「人間は創造しない。人間は発見し、その発見から出発する」という言葉を残したガウディは、世界中の建築様式を学び、大自然から有機的なフォルムや幾何学的な法則を発見し研究することで、独自の造形原理を作り上げていきましたが、サグラダ･ファミリアを創るにあたって実験的な試みをしたり、別の建造物を計画していた試作品や設計図などは意外と面白かったです。

 

その一つに、彼がサグラダ･ファミリア試作として建てたとされているコロニア・グエル教会の逆さ釣り実験なども再現されております。ガウディが生んだ最高傑作はサグラダ・ファミリア聖堂ではなく、コロニア・グエル教会などともいわれており、岡本太郎氏や数々の建築家も評価しているようであります。

コロニア・グエル教会の画像をもらえ、訪れた本人に聞きますと、「サグラダファミリアがコンパクトに集められている」とのことでした。まさに「人間は創造しない。人間は発見し、その発見から出発する」を表現した教会ですね。

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

それにしても、小さなころから「生きている間に完成はみられるのだろうか。」と、誰しもぼんやり思っていたサグラダ・ファミリア。いよいよ完成が近づいてきております。建築に140年かかった建造物が完成する瞬間なんて立ち会うことはないでしょうから、感動と緊張が入り混じったような味わったことのない気持ちが今から湧いてきております。

 

その瞬間は、世界中も自分もどんなことになるのか今から楽しみではありますが、先にも述べた「気になったものは観ておこう。」のあの自分の目標が、いつか「完成したサグラダ・ファミリア」になる日が来てほしいものです。

I am feeling a little calmed down after the flurry of activities at the beginning of the New Year. I don’t dislike some events that add color to my life, but I also don’t dislike the normal mode of my life, where the days are boring but flow by without much effort.

 

In these days, my goal for this year is to “watch what interests me,” as I did last year. The first one is the exhibition “Gaudi and Sagrada Fountain,” which has been held at the Nagoya City Art Museum since the end of last year.

I went to the exhibition.

 

My family happened to visit the Sagrada Familia last year, and I was able to get some interesting images of it, so I’m going to share them with you here.

 

Sagrada Familias Sagrada, the original unfinished building. It is the work of the famous architect Antoni Gaudi, who is well known to everyone, but it has taken so long that the image of the building under construction leaves a stronger impression.

 

The creative architectural works, registered as a World Heritage Site, created by Antoni Gaudí (1852-1926), who worked mainly in the Familia Pane Barcelona, brightly colored the city of Barcelona and continue to surprise and inspire visitors from all over the world.

This exhibition focuses on the Sagrada Familia Cathedral, which after more than 140 years is finally on its way to completion, and through the use of more than 100 drawings, models, photographs, documents, and the latest video images, it will reveal the originality of Gaudi’s architecture and the secrets of the cathedral’s form. The exhibition was to reveal the originality of Gaudi’s architecture.

 

 

By the way, when will the Sagrada Familia be completed is a matter of great concern for the human race in this lifetime. As some of you may know, the tallest tower in the center of the cathedral, the “Tower of Jesus,” is scheduled to be completed in 2026.

 

Gaudi started working on the design and construction of the Sagrada Familia when he was 31 years old, and he devoted his life to it until his death at the age of 73. As you know, his vision was so grandiose that he did not expect the cathedral to be completed in his own lifetime.

He therefore left behind a model for future generations so that everyone could understand the intricate forms he had drawn, which enabled him to continue building the cathedral even after his death.

 

However, the path to this point has not been an easy one.

 

The Spanish Civil War destroyed the model, and the construction of the cathedral was in a critical situation due to the need to raise funds for the construction. After the civil war, the project began with the restoration of the model. The construction of the building was also interrupted by crises many times during the 140 years of its existence. However, the people who inherited Gaudi’s will continued the construction of the Sagrada Familia.

I watched a program the other day in which Etsuro Sotoo, a Japanese sculptor, is currently active as the chief sculptor, and I saw a program in which Sotoo and others were working on the missing parts of the model through trial and error. The tower of Jesus” is the last one.

The exhibition also unravels everything that Gaudi put into the Sagrada Familia from his background.

 

Gaudi’s words, “Man does not create. Gaudí studied architectural styles from all over the world, discovered and researched organic forms and geometric laws from nature, and developed his own principles of form. The prototypes and blueprints of the structures he planned to build were surprisingly interesting.

 

One such example is a reproduction of the Colònia Güell Church, which he is said to have built as a prototype of the Sagrada Familia, including an experiment in upside-down fishing. It is said that Gaudi’s masterpiece is not the Sagrada Familia Cathedral, but the Colonia Güell Church, which Taro Okamoto and many other architects have also evaluated.

When I was given an image of Colonia Güell Church and asked by the person who visited it, he said, “The Sagrada Familia is collected in a compact manner. This is exactly what he said, “Man does not create. Man discovers and departs from his discoveries.

 

 

Even so, since I was a small child, I have always wondered if I would ever see the completion of the church in my lifetime. Everyone has wondered vaguely about the Sagrada Familia since they were small children, “Will it be completed while I am still alive? The completion of the building is finally approaching. I will probably never witness the moment of completion of a structure that took 140 years to build, so I am now feeling a mixture of excitement and nervousness that I have never experienced before.

 

I am looking forward to seeing what the world and myself will be like at that moment, but as I mentioned earlier, my goal of “seeing what I am interested in” will one day be realized. I hope that one day my goal of “I’ll see what I like” will become “the completed Sagrada Familia”.
