あっという間に6月も半分が終わろうとしております。本日の名古屋は蒸し蒸しとした暑さですが、昨日よりはマシといったところでしょうか。

昨日は真夏まではいきませんが、３０度超えで先日のスタッフHのかき氷写真を見て気持ちだけでも涼みました。

 

さて、本日は久しぶりに”古美術学習の日”とさせていただこうと思います。

というのも「古伊万里入門」という本を発見いたしまして。古伊万里について、種類、釉薬などは以前ご紹介させていただきましたので今回は文様について少し掘り下げてみようと思います。

 

 

「古伊万里の面白さの一つは文様の多様さにある」

古伊万里の多様な文様の中でもやはり植物文様が多くを占めています。菊や牡丹、椿、藤、そして今の季節多く見かける紫陽花などは花弁が文様の主部分となり、そちらに枯枝が描かれるのに対し、松、竹、梅、蘇鉄などは樹木として描かれることが多いようです。

菊や梅などは菊花文、梅花文として花弁部分だけでも単独でも描かれます。銀杏は葉が文様として用いられ、また瓜や茄子など野菜類も実は多く描かれているんです。

また動物文様も多様で、鶴、鷲、鶏や兎、栗鼠（リス）、鹿、馬などの身近な獣禽類や虎や獅子などの勇ましい動物も多く描かれ、鳳凰や麒麟、龍など想像上の動物も多いです。

また鮎、鯉などの魚や貝、鮑、蟹、海老なども文様としてよく描かれていて、波や流水といった自然文様と組み合わされたりもします。

 

他にも、人物文様は、唐人や唐子、蘭人などが見られ、すぐに見たらわかるものと単に人物としかわからないものも多くあります。自然や風景も同じく特定の風景ではなくかなり定型化された山水文が多く描かれているのが特徴だそうです。

最後に建物や器物文様は、楼閣や城、東屋の家屋類から舟、帆掛舟、筏なども文様として多く描かれます。

Today, after a long time, I would like to call it “Antiquities Learning Day”.

Because I found a book called “Introduction to Koimari”. I have previously introduced the types and glazes of Ko-Imari, so this time I would like to delve a little deeper into the patterns.

“One of the interesting things about Ko-Imari lies in the variety of patterns.”

Among the various patterns of Ko-Imari, plant patterns account for the majority. Chrysanthemums, peonies, camellias, wisterias, and hydrangea, which are often seen in this season, have petals as the main part of the pattern, and dead branches are drawn there. It seems that there are many

Chrysanthemums and plums are drawn as chrysanthemum and plum blossom patterns, either alone or on their petals. Ginkgo leaves are used as a pattern, and vegetables such as melons and eggplants are also often drawn.

Animal patterns are also diverse, with familiar animals such as cranes, eagles, chickens, rabbits, squirrels (squirrels), deer, and horses, as well as brave animals such as tigers and lions. There are also many animals of

Fish such as sweetfish and carp, shellfish, abalone, crab, and shrimp are also often drawn as patterns, and are sometimes combined with natural patterns such as waves and running water.

 

In addition, there are many patterns of people, such as Tojin, Karako, Ranjin, etc., and there are many things that can be recognized immediately and those that can only be recognized as a person. It seems that nature and scenery are also characterized by the fact that there are many stylized landscapes rather than specific landscapes.

Finally, with regard to patterns on buildings and utensils, many patterns are drawn on buildings, castles, pavilion houses, boats, sailing boats, and rafts.
