昨日のお昼間の暖かさといい、本日も日中は暖かく春のような暖かさが続いております。

この気温は週末まで続くそうですが、来週からはまた冬の寒さに戻るようです。皆さまくれぐれも体調にお気をつけください。

 

さて、先日姪っ子が1歳の誕生日を迎えました。

あっという間に過ぎた日々…まだ１年前にはお腹にいたのに今ではつたい歩きができるようになりまして、成長の早さに驚かされています。

 

そして最近は何でも真似をするようになりまして、消毒を手になじませている動作を見ながら真似してきたり、筋トレ中腕立て伏せをしているときの声真似をしてきたりなど（笑）

もう姪っ子の前で下手なことはできないなぁ…なんて。

 

 

話が戻りますが、１歳の誕生日といえば赤ちゃんが最初に迎える大切な記念日ですよね。

アメリカでは「ファーストバースデー」と言われ、大切な記念日として盛大にお祝いする文化があります。

もちろん日本でも古くから１歳の誕生日をお祝いする慣しがたくさんあり今回は実際に選び取りや、一升餅を背負ってみたりしました。

 

 

この一升餅の由来は、「一生（一升）食べるものに困らないように」と願いを込めて一升餅を背負わせて成長を願うというものです。

また一升餅の形にも意味があり、「一生円満な人生を送れるように」という願いも込められているそうです。

約２キロの重たいお餅をイヤイヤ背負わされる様子も可愛らしく、微笑ましたかったのですが相当重かったようで後ろに倒れそうになりながら座り込んでしまいすぐに嫌になり自分でおろしていました。

 

この一升餅を背負った様子にも様々な意味がありまして。立ち上がったら「立身出世する」、座ったら「家を継いでくれる」、転んだら「厄を落とした」などの意味を持っています。

 

 

また選び取りも１歳のお祝いで昔から行われている行事の１つ。

子供の目の前に様々なアイテムを置いて一番興味を持ったものを子供に選び取ってもらいます。

何を選び取ったかによって子供の将来の職業や未来を占うという行事でして、最近ではカード型になっているので相当悩んでおりましたが最終的には満足そうに１枚選んでおりました。選ばれたカードは記念に残しておくこともできて、もう少し大きくなったら幸せな思い出話として盛り上がりそうです。

 

 

こうやって１歳のお誕生日を元気に祝えたことにまずは感謝をしつつ、来年再来年そしてこの先ずっとどうか健康で美しい人生を歩んでほしいです。これは姪っ子だけではなくこの世の中にいるすべての人に向けても言えます。

And recently, I’ve started to imitate everything, such as imitating while watching the action of rubbing the disinfectant on my hands, and imitating the voice when I’m doing push-ups during muscle training.　I can’t do anything bad in front of my niece anymore… I can’t believe it.

 

 

Back to the topic, the 1st birthday is the first important anniversary for a baby to reach. In the United States, it is said to be a “first birthday”, and there is a culture of celebrating it grandly as an important anniversary. Of course, in Japan, there are many customs to celebrate the 1st birthday from ancient times, so this time I actually picked one and tried carrying a rice cake on my back.

 

The origin of this issho mochi is to wish for growth by carrying the issho mochi on the back with the wish that “I will not be troubled with food for the rest of my life.” The shape of the issho mochi also has a meaning, and it is said that the wish is to “live a happy life for the rest of your life.”

 

I wanted to smile, but it was so heavy that I almost fell backwards and sat down, and soon got tired of it and put it down by myself. There are various meanings in the appearance of carrying this issho mochi. If you stand up, you will be successful in life. If you sit down, you will inherit the family.

 

Selecting is also one of the events that have been held for a long time to celebrate one year old. Place a variety of items in front of your child and let them choose the one that interests them the most.

 

It was an event to foretell a child’s future occupation and future depending on what he chose. Recently, it was a card type, so I was worried about it, but in the end I chose one with a satisfied look. rice field. You can keep the selected card as a memento, and when it gets a little older, it will be a lively story of happy memories.

 

First of all, I am grateful that I was able to celebrate my 1st birthday in this way, and I hope that next year and the year after next, and for the rest of my life, I will live a healthy and beautiful life. This can be said not only for my niece but also for everyone in this world.
