ここ数日、入園式・入学式を迎えられたご家族をよくお見かけしました。

春、この時期ならではの光景で微笑ましいです。

本日は一昨日ブログのつづきとして、お弁当話し第二弾です。

海外のランチボックスと比べると、日本のお弁当はシンプルなものからご褒美になるような豪華なものまで多種多様、彩りも豊かです。

（各国それぞれの特徴があって、個人的にはそれもまた好きですが）

日本を代表するお弁当、皆さまお馴染み『幕の内弁当』。

その誕生は江戸時代、娯楽の圧倒的人気 ”芝居見物” が始まりとのこと。

当時の芝居は一日かけて演じられ、観客は飲食をしながら観劇しました。

その幕間に提供されたからお弁当だからという説、また幕の内側で役者が食べたことに由来する説、相撲取りの小結が幕の内力士であることから”小さなおむすび”の入っている弁当を幕の内弁当と呼ぶようになった説など、語源は諸説あるようですが…

天保８年起稿『守貞謾稿』によると、笹折に焼握飯１０個と玉子焼き、蒲鉾、煮物などが入っており、大変評判が良かったため次第には芝居に限らず病院見舞いや贈答用にも用いられていったとのこと。

資料によると、「製造販売していた仕出し屋「万久」は、江戸時代末期には高級料亭に発展します。成功の背景には醤油の普及がありました。江戸時代後期、醬油は江戸周辺で大量に生産されるようになりました。醤油で煮〆た煮物の濃い味は、米飯の味を引き立て食欲を増進させます。煮物は一度に大量に作ることができ、醤油の持つ殺菌力で日持ちがします。」

確かにお弁当の味付けはちょっと濃いめで、冷めても美味しく感じられることが重要視されています。

このようないきさつもあって「幕の内弁当」はお弁当ブランド第１号になったというわけですね。

１８６８年、新しい時代・明治が始まると、時代の合言葉は「富国強兵」と「文明開化」。

特に文明開化の象徴は鉄道であったようです。

明治５年、新橋―横浜間が開通し、明治末までにほぼ全国の幹線網が完成したとのことですので、日本人はそれこそお弁当を食べながらよく働いています。

鉄道の旅は便利でしたが長旅だったということで、乗客のためのお弁当…「駅弁」が売り出されていったのです。

明治１８年最初の駅弁は握飯と沢庵を竹皮に包んだものだったようですが、今では地域の味と特徴を活かした駅弁がなんと３５００種類以上もあるそうです。

”地方の料理を移動時に楽しむ”というみんな大好き駅弁は日本独自の文化のひとつでしょう。

（ここ名古屋といえばやはりひつまぶしや天むす、名古屋コーチンやエビフライが入った駅弁が定番人気です。）

岩波書店刊『ビゴー日本素描集』の中には、明治時代日本に暮らしていたフランス人風刺漫画家ジョルジュ・ビゴーの作品で、駅のホームにて折詰弁当とビールと思われる瓶が盆状の箱にのせられ、駅弁販売をする様子が描かれているものがあります。

ドラマや映画で観たことのある光景ですね。

現在ではデパ地下でのお弁当の種類の豊富さ、迷いながらもついつい買ってしまいます。

お弁当専門店も増え、多様な働き方のある現代の需要に重宝しますね。

随分前になりますが、スタッフ I ”キャラ弁”をせがまれたことがあり、数回だけしぶしぶ⁈挑戦しました。

お世辞にも器用とは言えない部類ですので、早朝からどっと疲れた記憶が…（汗）

あんな大変な作業を常々されている世のお父さん、お母さん、尊敬します！

しかし小さな箱に詰められたお弁当ほど、家族の愛情を感じるものもないかもしれません。

It seems that the first ekiben in 1887 was made by wrapping rice and Takuan in bamboo skin, but now there are more than 3,500 types of ekiben that take advantage of the taste and characteristics of the region.

Ekiben, which everyone loves to “enjoy local cuisine on the move,” is one of Japan’s unique cultures.

聖火リレーが各都道府県に到着と連日ニュースになっていますね。

こんにちは、スタッフY  です。

ここ愛知県もいよいよ聖火リレーが昨日、一昨日と到着いたしました。

愛知県瀬戸市からスタートし、名古屋市や愛知県内の市町村を経由し、豊田市へ。

ランナーの皆さまお疲れ様。本当に良い笑顔をされて走っていましたよね。次の方へとトーチを渡す際に、トーチの受け渡しと共に、みなさまの笑顔も受け渡っていたのが印象的でした。大勢の方がなかなか近くで応援とはいかない中、私も映像を通してですが、応援いたしました。

好奇心がいつも取っ散らかっているのでとりあえず見ておこうと、一昨年日本オリンピックミュージアムにてトーチを見にいってきました。今となっては、悲しいかな随分と遠い記憶です。

ですが、印象は日本の細かな技術、ていねいなものづくりの精神を本当に反映しているトーチです。実に、繊細な作りだなと、素人の私でも分かりました。

デザイナーは「ガラスの茶室」などで知られる吉岡徳仁さんです。

今回のトーチは高さ71センチ、重さ約1.2キロ。上から見るとトーチの上部は桜の花びらのように5つに分かれており、5つの部分から上がった炎が頂点部分でひとつなるというデザイン。まさに、炎をデザインしたとのこと。聖火ランナー1人ずつに配布され（みなさん、いただけるんですね）予備を含めると1万本以上が製造される予定。

吉岡さんは今回のトーチに対して、

炎のかたちをデザインしました。この光り輝くトーチは、桜型の多面体の造形により太陽の光を反射し、聖火ランナーに輝きを与えるようにデザインされています。ランナーは常に動きますから、トーチはそのたびにきらきらと光を放ち、見ている人にも光を与える。そのシーンを思い浮かべながらデザインしました。

デザインのきっかけは、被災地の子どもたちとみんなで、桜のエンブレムを描いたことで、子どもたちが描いた力強い桜の絵のように、被災地の方々が苦悩を乗り越え、立ち上がる姿を世界の人々に伝えたい。その想いでデザインをさせていただきましました。とのこと。

材料もまた東日本大震災の復興仮設住宅にアルミサッシを提供していた企業が、役割を終えた仮設住宅の解体が始まっていたので、そのアルミニウムを使えるかもしれないということで、それは素晴らしいと、再利用。ここにも、吉岡さんのメッセージが込められていますね。

当時制作された頃には、吉岡さんもきっとこの状況を知る由もなかったでしょう。

状況はかわってしまいましたが、気持ちは一緒ですよね。何度でも立ち上がる希望を象徴する炎として、日本の桜の開花と共に、この桜のトーチがそれを手にして走るランナーさんにより、たくさんの方々へむけて、日本全国駆け巡ってほしいものです。

私も、走ろうかなぁ。

My curiosity is messed up, so I went to see the torch at the Japan Olympic Museum two years ago to see it for the time being, but alas, it’s a long memory.

However, the impression is a torch that reflects Japan’s detailed technology and the spirit of careful manufacturing. As an amateur, I realized that it was really delicate.

The designer is Tokujin Yoshioka, who is known for his “Glass Tea Room”.

The torch this time is 71 cm high and weighs about 1.2 kg. When viewed from above, the upper part of the torch is divided into five parts like cherry blossom petals, and the flame that rises from the five parts becomes one at the top. He said he designed the flame. It will be distributed to each torchbearer (everyone can get it), and if you include the spare, more than 10,000 will be manufactured.

The reason for the design was to draw the cherry blossom emblem together with the children in the disaster area, and to show the people of the world how the people in the disaster area overcome their distress and stand up like the powerful picture of cherry blossoms drawn by the children. 日本人はこの行楽に携えていくお弁当が本当に好きなようです。

そしてこのお弁当文化、今新たな関心を呼んでいるようで…

小さな箱にバラエティに富んだ様々なおかずが彩り美しく詰められている日本のお弁当は、日本独自の食文化。

お弁当に炊いたご飯が一般となったのは、１７世紀末のこと。

江戸時代の元禄の頃、それまでの朝夕二食から一日三食の食習慣が定着。

昼食としてお弁当が広まっていったそうです。

時間が経ってもご飯が傷まず、冷めてもおいしく食べられるように工夫された弁当箱が、皆さまご存じ「曲げわっぱ」。

檜や杉で作った曲げ物で通気性に優れ、木肌が余分な水分を吸収し、米粒の表面をアミノ酸の膜で包むという優れもの。

先人たちの知識と技のおかげでおいしくいただけます。感謝^^

『泰平の世の経済の発展は人々の生活を安定させ、暮らしを楽しむ気持ちの余裕ももたらしました。享保年間に八代将軍吉宗が飛鳥山などへ数千本の桜を植樹し、庶民の花見を奨励したことから、花見は年中行事ともいえる楽しみになりました。宵の中心にはお弁当があり、「花見弁当」はみんなで楽しむもの、重箱に詰められたご馳走は花見気分をさらに高揚させ、仲間の絆を深めました。重箱は重ねると小さくなり、広げると多くの料理を一度に供することができます。携行しやすいように提げ手を付けた「提重」も登場しました。江戸時代後期には多くの料理本が出版され、料理指南も載っており、お弁当の副菜や彩り、詰め方にも工夫をこらすようになります。お弁当はみんなで楽しむものになりました。』

お弁当の歴史、深かったのですね。

こんにちは！古美術風光舎です。

こちら名古屋店にご来店下さるお客様の中にも

茶道を嗜まれる方が大勢いらっしゃいます。

 
そのような皆さまにおかれましては、
『各服点(かくふくだて)』についてのお聞き及びはございましたでしょうか？
（流派によっては違う呼称で同じようなお点前があるのかも知れません。）

いわゆる抹茶には濃茶・薄茶とありますが、

本来、厳粛な雰囲気の中、

その場に居る皆さまで喫み回していただく濃茶こそが

一座での絆を深める大切なものだと聞いております。

しかしながら、現在のこの世相ではその機会を持つことは大変難しいですね。

そんな世相の中でもお濃茶の精神を受け継ぐために

行われているのが『各服点』なのです。

濃茶各服点を考案されたのは、茶道裏千家第13代お家元・圓能斎鉄中（えんのうさいてっちゅう）宗室。

 
約100年前のこと、日本で、そして世界でもスペイン風邪が流行していました。

今日の新型コロナウイルスの流行で危惧されているように、

第一波よりも第二波で多くの尊い命が失われた厳しい時代でした。

そのような中で考案された新しいお点前なのでした。

 
裏千家 第14代宗匠 淡々斎 宗室の著書『風興集』の一節も紹介させていただきますが、成程と思います。

「濃茶は一碗の茶を各自喫み回すことが規定でありまして、すなわち親しみを増す意味で大切なことでありますが、時勢の進化に伴い、衛生思想が著しく発達してまいりまして、すでに宴会の献酬、すなわち盃の交換をするさえ問題にされる時代であります。そんな際に、幾ら厳粛な基調の下に行われるお茶にしても、連客の中には、老人もあれば病人もある、また常に在ってはならぬことでありますが、保健上から見ても、最も危険性の伴う人と同席した場合、いわず語らず気が臆して、同一碗で喫み回すことなどの、躊躇せられることもあります。これらのことに心をつけて、客に嫌忌の念を起こさしめないように謀らうのも、亭主の真情でありました、客に敬意を払った真実な所作でありましょう。 」（淡々斎 千宗室著/淡交社）

（ちなみに現在、茶道裏千家のお家元は第16代坐忘斎玄黙（ざぼうさいげんもく）宗室です。）

新しいことをすると批判されるのが常ですが、

それでも歴代のお家元が新しいお点前を考案されるのは、

やはり茶の湯の精神を守っていくためなのですね。

茶道だけでなく、今の生活全般において変わってしまった沢山のことがあります。

たとえ様式は変わったとしても、その本質を見失わなわずに大切にしていきたいものです。

先月、実はどうしてもいきたくて、気を付けながら行って参りましたよ、静嘉堂文庫美術館へ。

目的はひとつ。『曜変天目』です。

ここ、静嘉堂文庫美術館は、岩崎弥之助（三菱第二代目社長）らのコレクションを収めた美術館。『陽変天目が落ち着いて見られるのは、ここでしょう。』と、お連れさんが教えてくれ、ほいほいとついて行った次第です。場所は、都内世田谷区、二子玉川駅から少し離れた閑静な住宅街。岩崎彌之助（三菱第二代社長）の別宅ということもあり、静かな美術館の中、贅沢にも本当にゆったりと曜変天目を鑑賞することができたんです。暫く、展示のガラスケースをじーっと張り付いてのぞき込みました。時に、丸の内の三菱一号館美術館でも展示されることもあるようですが、その時はたくさんの人でこのように張り付いて鑑賞などはできないようです。

HPによると、「曜変」とは、元来「窯変」を意味した言葉とされ、文献で「星」または「輝く」を意味する「曜」の字が当てられるようになるのは、15世紀前半頃からである。室町時代の文献『君台観左右帳記』において、「曜変」は、唐物茶碗「土之物」（陶製の茶碗）のうち、もっとも貴重で高価な茶碗として、分類格付けされてきた。福建省建窯の焼成品で、これは偶然の所産と見られている。
静嘉堂文庫美術館所蔵の曜変天目（茶碗）は、もと徳川将軍家所蔵であったものが、三代将軍・家光の時代、春日局を経て、後に淀藩主となる稲葉家へ伝えられたとされる。今日、世界中で現存する曜変天目（完形品）は、日本にある三碗のみ、京都・大徳寺龍光院、大阪・藤田美術館所蔵の各一碗と本碗で、すべてが国宝に指定されている。とのこと。

とにかく簡単に焼けるものではない、と研究者も陶芸家も口を揃える曜変天目。つまり何万個、何十万個に一つ、偶然が重なってできたものだから稀少価値があるのでしょうか。そして、すべてが国宝に指定されて、日本に三碗しかないのがまたファンタジーですよね。

ではなぜ中国で作られたにもかかわらず、中国に曜変天目は存在しない？と、長い間考えられてきたのですが、なんと２００９年、南宋の都があった杭州市内の工事現場から出土したとのこと。これはいったい…。

曜変天目の破片は、全体の70％近くが残り、国宝三碗と同じ斑文や光彩も備えており、学術的な発掘ではなく、工事現場からの出土なので、一定の留保は必要ですが、出土地点は南宋王朝の迎賓館、あるいは皇妃の邸宅に当たる場所のとのこと。さらに宮殿銘を刻した白磁や青磁など、宮廷用磁器の破片が一緒に見つかっていることから、曜変天目が南宋の宮廷文物だったと判明しました。

さらに17年、再び杭州で曜変天目の破片が出土したりと、そちらもやはり曜変天目の特徴を備えるいるようです。ですが、完璧なる曜変天目が日本しか存在しないことから、中国では斑文や光彩を不吉として排除したのではという説もあります。曜変天目が宮廷文物になるほど高い評価を受けていたのであれば、その説は当を失しますね。日本の曜変天目も、かつて南宋宮廷にあったものだったのでしょうか。この謎も陽変天目が皆を引き付けてやまない魅力なんでしょうね。

なんて蘊蓄はさておき、お碗を見つめていると、本当にひきこまれる妖艶な艶やかな小宇宙…。などと私が説明してしまうと、とても台無しになってしまうので、皆さま、機会がありましたら是非一度ご自分の目で鑑賞なさってみて下さい。

佐藤可士和さんといえば、今治タオルのロゴや、ユニクロやセブンイレブンのロゴマーク、楽天のシンボルマークなど多種多様な方面でご活躍のクリエイティブディレクター。皆さま、ぜったい「あ、あれね！」と、佐藤さんのロゴに触れて生活していると思います。

シンプルなロゴにも、たくさんの決まり事、緻密な計算、などデザイナーさんのお仕事がわかる展覧会ですね。

ところで、新しい環境にむけてお片付けや整理整頓をされた皆さま、お片付け、大変だった方も多いのではないでしょうか。終わられた方もまだ途中の方も、まずはお疲れ様です。

そうそう、今朝の新聞に、こちらの佐藤可士和さんが整理についての記事がありました。テレビでも何度か拝見しましたが、佐藤さんのオフィス、大きな机と椅子しかない本当にすっきりとした環境なんですよね。

『ここは、物を生み出す場なので、余計なものがあると、そっちに影響されてしまいます。まっさらな、キャンバスのようにしておきたいんです。デザインは、整理そのものです。たくさんの問題点の中から課題を抽出し、コンセプトを立て、バラバラだったものに一つの視点を提示する。整理はクリエイティブな営み。デサインそのものなんです。』とのこと。

佐藤さんの、デサインやお仕事へのアプローチの仕方が、整理整頓に結びついているとは。シンプルだけど物事すべてへの、このアプローチの仕方、スタッフＹ理想です。

4月に入りましたね。
和風月名は卯月(うづき)。卯の花の咲く月ということからです。
卯の花ではありませんが、この辺りの植え込みの
雪柳の白い花も繊細で綺麗です。

名古屋あたりには何ケ月も冬季休業する美術館ってありますでしょうか？
冬季休業といっても、ほとんどは年末年始を挟んでの
数週間の休館といった感じですよね。

ご紹介する『木村茶道美術館』は
毎年12月～翌年3月まで４ヵ月間も休館するんです！
新潟県柏崎市にあるんです。雪国っぽいですね!?
（名古屋辺りからですと高速道路を利用して車で4～5時間でしょうか。）

けれども休業期間が長いからというわけで、
この美術館を取り上げたわけではないんですよ。

こちらでは、なんと館蔵品の茶道具を実際に使用して、
毎日お茶席を楽しめるのです。
国宝や重文などはないですが、
通常はガラス越しに見るだけの貴重で素晴らしい茶道具を
実際に手に取り使って楽しめるというのは、
唯一この美術館のみ！
わざわざ茨城県や山形県、そして名古屋あたりから通う（←それはスタッフT）

常連さんもいるんですよ！

これは収集者・木村寒香庵翁の
「使ってこそお道具であり、使わなければお道具が死んでしまいます。」との考えから、
開館以来この方式を取入れてきたのです。

美術館によれば＿
ここは「故香庵翁の無私の行為に感激した人達と
翁に教わりお世話になったお弟子さん達の
ボランティア精神により成り立っている組織です。

春爛漫。４月のはじまりです。

その言葉通り、光あふれんばかりに春の花たちが咲き乱れています。

そして本日、企業の入社式を迎えられた新入社員の方々も多いことと思います。

昨年は対面式による開催を見送るところがほとんどでしたでしょうか。

その形はオンライン併用へと様変わりしましたね。

今年は徐々に対面式も復活の兆しがあることと思います。

この時期、環境の変化に順応しながら新たなチャレンジをしていく方たちを見ると、こちらまで刺激をもらい意欲的になれます。

個人的に、冬眠していた気持ちや体がパーッと解き放たれるようでこの季節は好きです。

ちなみにエイプリルフールは、あんなにわくわくしていた子ども時代はどこへやら、この年齢になっては自分の発した言葉のその後の責任を取る方が大変なので、すっかり興味がなくなってしまいました笑。

こんにちは。スタッフYです。

ここ愛知県名古屋市千種区も、そろそろ満開のピークをこえてきました。来年までまたお別れなので、しっかりと記憶にとどめておきたいと思い、古美術風光舎名古屋店にも、満開の桜を生けてみました。

前回にもお伝えしましたが、我流なので、生けてるとは言えませんね。投げ入れただけのようですが。でも、大丈夫。お花が美しいので、助けられています。そして、本日の花瓶は鋳物の花瓶。控えめな鋳物が、本来のお花のよさを引き立て、またまた我流の私を助けてくれました。

私だけではないと思うのですがこうやって、ただ桜を投げ入れているだけでも、いつも不思議な感覚になりませんか。

最初は、日々の色々なことをあれこれと考えながら、あーでもない、こーでもないと自分にもお花にも雑な対話をしているのですが、

だんだん、集中力が高くなっているのか、リラックスしているのかわからない、自分とお花しかいないようなゾーンに入っていることがあります。これを何と命名しようか。

ただシンプルに自分とお花に向き合うだけの時間ですが、お花の顔や枝ぶりと対話しているつもりが、自然と無の自分と対話してるんですね。

仕事の事、日常生活の事、家族や周りの人の事、解決しなかったことのヒントが不思議と浮かんできます。でも、悩み事はだいたいいつもどうでもよくなっていき、（私、人間の作りが単純ですね）晴れやかなやさしい気持ちになっていきます。

そして、「だいたいよし！。」と、我流に生けてたお花から離れ、花器を置き、整え、いつもの自分に戻っていきます。この、一連の流れが大好きです。

今年も、たくさんの桜が咲きましたが、残念ながら、有名な桜の名所に出掛けられない方もいらっしゃるでしょう。

最近、桜やお花の苗木を購入されている方も結構いらっしゃるとお聞きしました。

このテーブルの桜のように、一つの小さなお花でもいいんですね。慰め、癒してくれることは、違いありません。

Here in Chikusa Ward, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, the peak of full bloom is about to be reached. I’ll say goodbye again until next year, so I wanted to keep it in my memory, so I tried to plant cherry blossoms in full bloom at the antique art Fukosha Nagoya store.

As I mentioned last time, I can’t say that I’m alive because I’m my own style. It seems that I just threw it in. but it’s okay. The flowers are beautiful, so I am helped. And today’s vase is a casting vase. The discreet castings complemented the original goodness of the flowers and helped me again.

I don’t think I’m the only one, but just throwing in the cherry blossoms like this always makes me feel strange.

At first, while thinking about various things in my daily life, I have a rough dialogue with myself and flowers.

You may be in a zone where you don’t know if you’re more focused or relaxed, and you’re the only one with flowers. What should I name this?

It’s just a time to simply face yourself and the flowers, but I think I’m talking to the face and branches of the flowers, but I’m naturally talking to myself.

Mysteriously come up with hints about work, daily life, family and people around me, and things I didn’t solve. However, my worries usually don’t matter, and (I’m a simple human being), I feel radiant and kind.

Then, saying, “It’s almost okay!”, I move away from the flowers that lived in my own way, prepare the vessels, and return to my usual self. I love this series of flows.

Many cherry blossoms have bloomed this year as well, but unfortunately some people may not be able to go to the famous cherry blossom spots.

I heard that there are quite a few people who have recently purchased cherry blossoms and flower saplings.

Just like the cherry blossoms on this table, one small flower is fine. It must be comforting and healing.
