昨日は大寒。このところの寒さで、どうもインドア生活に傾向しておりまして、雪も心配ですので趣味のドライブもなかなか好きなところには行けておりません。これはいかんと思っておりますが、如何せん寒いのでいたしかたありませんね。

 

そんな中ですが先日、私にいつも映画、文学、エンタメなどなど新しい情報をおしえてくれます親友と、映画を観に行ってまいりました。この作品、大変大変印象に残りましたので本日はそのお話を少し。

 

「HOUSE　OF　GUCCI」

 

 

そう、歌わないレディー・ガガが演技一本で映画で勝負しておりますことは、皆様緒ご存じかと思いますが、他にもアカデミー俳優たちが、レディー・ガガ（2ノミネート1受賞『アリー/スター誕生』’18）、ジャレッド・レト（1受賞『ダラス・バイヤーズクラブ』’13）、ジェレミー・アイアンズ（1受賞『運命の逆転』’90）、アル・パチーノ（9ノミネート1受賞『セント・オブ・ウーマン/夢の香り』’92）などの錚々たるアカデミー賞やオスカー賞の俳優たちが、崩壊していくグッチ家の人々を演じる作品であります。

 

また、受賞こそしていないもののアダム・ドライバー（彼は『スター・ウォーズ』シリーズ続三部作のカイロ・レン役でしたよね。）もサルマ・ハエックもノミネート経験ありと、まあ豪華キャスト。また、この演技合戦に負けず脇でキラリと光るのは、マウリツィオの二番目のパートナー、パオラ・フランキを演じる仏俳優カミーユ・コッタンとあとでわかるわけであります。

 

と、こんなことをつらつらと述べていますと、私がかなり映画通のように勘違いされてしまいそうですが、実はわたくし、ガガとアルパチーノ以外の俳優の方々の情報はまったくない状態で映画鑑賞に臨んでおりました。

 

ですが、どの俳優さんもたぶん実際の方はこんな感じだったんじゃないだろうかと、この素人のわたくしにもその様子をかなり彷彿させるであろう、なりきりの本気度が大変伝わった作品でありました。その後、俳優さんたちの素晴らしい経歴を知るのですから、これぞまさに実証でありますね。また、実際のパトリツィとマウリツィオ・グッチの写真を見ることがありましたが、ガガとアダムドライバーのお二人の寄せ方が完ぺきでして、これはこれは参りました笑…。

 

さて、その作品の内容ですがネタバレになりますので、詳しくはお伝え出来ませんがGUCCI監修のもと実話に基づきます。言わずと知れた世界に誇るファッションブランドの創業者の孫であるマウリツィオ・グッチが、妻パトリツィアの指示で殺害されるという大スキャンダルが起こったのが、1995年。本作はマウリツィオとパトリツィアが出会った1970年代から約20年にわたるグッチ一族の“お家騒動”を、ブランドのすべてをコントロールしようとしたパトリツィアを中心に描いていく作品であります。

 

また、この作品、冒頭で述べました、俳優陣の素晴らしさもですが他にも注目ポイントも多く、巨大ブランドの細やかな舞台裏も随所に。バッタもの（模造商品）への対応、ファッションショーの内幕のほか、〈グッチ〉ならではの革のこだわりや、美術館に収められた超レアな紳士靴の使われ方、そしてデザイナーとして雇われたトム・フォードの大胆な発想など、残念な結末へと向かっていくストーリではあるのですが、シーンごとに変わるレディー・ガガの装いやNYの直営店が日本人客でにぎわう懐かしい情景時代や昭和世代には懐かしいにカルチャーもなども再現されており、そのディテール探しも楽しい。

 

 

また、作品のメインの舞台はイタリアのミラノなのですが、街の中心部から自然豊かな湖畔や牧場やニューヨーク、スイスなどロケによる映像、そしてなによりもゴージャスなGUCCI家の様子などなどど“ビジュアリスト”と呼ばれるリドリー・スコット監督の持ち味が本当に細部から映像に至るまで行き届いているいろいろ見ごたえのある作品でありました。

“HOUSE OF GUCCI”

Also, I sometimes saw pictures of actual Patrizi and Maurizio Gucci, but the way Gaga and Adam Driver got together was perfect, and this is what I came up with … lol.

In 1995, a major scandal occurred in which Maurizio Gucci, the grandson of the founder of a world-renowned fashion brand, was killed at the direction of his wife Patrizia. Also, as I mentioned at the beginning of this work, the actors are wonderful, but there are also many other points of interest, and the detailed behind-the-scenes of the huge brand is everywhere. In addition to dealing with batters (imitation products), the inner curtain of fashion shows, the commitment to leather unique to Gucci, how to use ultra-rare men’s shoes stored in museums, and Tom Hired as a designer Although it is a story that leads to a disappointing ending such as Ford’s bold idea, in the nostalgic scene era and the Showa generation where the clothes of Lady Gaga that change with each scene and the directly managed stores in NY are crowded with Japanese customers.
