前回の「相続と骨董買取のお話」では、身近な空き家の片付けのお話から、まずは家の中の御品物のお片付けについて、不用品を「必要なもの」「捨てるもの」「保留するもの」に仕分けることについてのお話でした。

 

さて、それぞれ仕分けたところで、次にどう処分するかの問題がのしかかってきます。

ですが、「価値があるのか分からないけれどどこで売ればいいの？」「骨董品なら高く売りたいけれど、どこで買い取ってくれるの？」という疑問が湧いてきます。
ご自宅に眠っていた骨董品、形見や思い出の品など、大切な品々を少しでも高く売りたい気持ちは誰しも同じ。
ところが、骨董品は種類も価値も様々で、どこで売ればいいのか悩んでいる方も多いのではないでしょうか。

 

骨董品を売却する方法として、大きく分けて2つの方法があります。

1: メルカリなどのフリマアプリで売却する

2: 買取業者に依頼する

 

近年では、フリマアプリの利用者が増え、手軽に売買できることから、骨董品を売却する選択肢として人気が高まっています。しかし、骨董品は価値が判断しにくい場合も多く、専門知識がないと適切な価格で売却できない可能性もあります。

フリマアプリは、誰でも簡単に利用できる手軽さが魅力ですが、骨董品を売却する際には、いくつかの注意点があります。

１．価格交渉が発生する可能性がある

２．トラブル対応が発生する可能性がある

３．骨董品の価値が理解されていない場合、設定より低い価格で売却されてしまう可能性がある

４．出品から売れるまでに時間がかかる場合がある

５．梱包・発送の手間がかかる

 

フリマアプリですので、購入者との間でのさまざまなトラブルが考えられます。例えば、商品が届かなかった、商品が説明と違っていたなどのトラブルが発生した場合、出品者側が対応しなければなりません。

また、骨董品は、一般的な商品と比べて売れるまでに時間がかかる場合が多く、特に、価値の高い骨董品は、購入者が限られるため、売却までに時間がかかる可能性があるので、それまで手元に保管しておかなくてはいけません。

そして売却が決まったら、商品の発送は慎重に行わなければいけません。骨董品は壊れやすいものが多いため、丁寧に梱包する必要があります。また、発送の手続きも、一般的な商品と比べて手間がかかるなど、出品者側の負担が大きくなる場合があります。

 

一方、買取業者は、専門知識を持った鑑定士が査定を行うため、骨董品の価値を正しく評価してもらい、適切な価格で売却できる可能性が高いと考えられます。

また、査定に基づいて買取価格を提示しますので、購入者との価格交渉を行う必要がありません。

そして、商品は買い取られた時点で、買取業者が引き取りますので、梱包・発送の手間を省くことができます。特に、大きな品や自分では運ぶことが難しい品物は、無料で出張買取を利用することをおススメします。

In our previous discussion on “Inheritance and Antique Appraisal,” we started with the topic of clearing out vacant homes close to home. We talked about sorting the items inside the house into “necessary items,” “items to discard,” and “items to hold onto.”

 

Now, once you’ve sorted everything, the next problem looms: how to dispose of it.

Questions arise: “I don’t know if it has value, but where should I sell it?” or “If it’s an antique, I want to sell it for a good price, but where will they buy it?”
Everyone shares the desire to sell cherished items—antiques, heirlooms, or sentimental possessions—for the best possible price.
However, antiques vary greatly in type and value, leaving many unsure where to sell them.

 

There are two main methods for selling antiques:

1: Selling via flea market apps like Mercari
2: Using a professional buyer

 

In recent years, flea market apps have gained popularity as a selling option for antiques due to their ease of use and growing user base. However, antiques can be difficult to value accurately, and without specialized knowledge, you might not get a fair price.

While the ease of use for anyone is appealing, there are several points to note when selling antiques via flea market apps:

1. Price negotiation may occur
2. Potential for disputes arising
3. If the antique’s value isn’t understood, it may sell for less than the set price
4. Time may pass from listing to sale
5. Packing and shipping require effort

 

Since it’s a flea market app, various issues with buyers are possible. For example, if problems arise like the item not arriving or the item differing from the description, the seller must handle the situation.

Furthermore, antiques often take longer to sell compared to general merchandise. Especially for high-value antiques, the pool of potential buyers is limited, meaning it could take considerable time to sell. This means you must store the item until it sells.

Once a sale is confirmed, shipping must be handled with great care. Many antiques are fragile and require careful packaging. Shipping procedures themselves can also be more labor-intensive than for general goods, potentially increasing the seller’s burden.

 

On the other hand, with a buyer’s agent, appraisals are conducted by experts with specialized knowledge. This means the antique’s value is likely to be accurately assessed, increasing the possibility of selling it at a fair price.

Furthermore, they offer a purchase price based on their appraisal, eliminating the need for price negotiations with buyers.

Additionally, the dealer takes possession of the item upon purchase, saving you the trouble of packing and shipping. For large items or those difficult to transport yourself, we highly recommend utilizing our free on-site appraisal service.
