今朝のことです。外を歩いておりましたらどこかしら、あの秋の香りが薄っすら漂ってきました。

金木犀でした。少し涼しくなった風の中に混じっていたのでしょうが、見渡したところ金木犀らしき木は見当たりませんが、間違いないあの香りです。私の鼻先を一瞬横切って行っただけなのですが、いつもなんだか切ない気持ちにさせてくれるのは私だけでしょうか。暑さが長引いたせいでしょうか、秋が思いのほか近寄っていたことに気づいた今朝でありました。

 

そんな今朝だっのですが、奈良旅の続編をお休みしまして、本日は勝手に号外。

ここ愛知県出身、藤井壮太棋士が前人未到の八冠達成いたしました！。愛知県も、昨夜からこのニュースでもちきり。おめでとうございます。

 

昨夜の対局ご覧になりましたでしょうか。

第71期王座戦5番勝負第4局にて、将棋の藤井聡太七冠（21）と永瀬拓矢王座（31）との対局にてなんと終盤も終盤、終局たしか10分ほど前だったでしょうか一気に展開が変わり、3勝1敗として前人未到の全八冠独占を達成。午後9時前の終局前、終盤の10分間で大きく二転三転する流れの局面にネット上では驚きの声があがりました。

 

私もLIVEにてこの対局をみておりましたが、こんなことがあるのだろうか？と、素人ながら手に汗をにぎりながらの対局でありました。

終盤に差し掛かり、すでに1分将棋に持ち込まれていたのですが、122手まではAIの判定は永井王座が99％藤井七冠1％と、永井王座に完全に勝ちが見えておりました。私も第5局目にはいるな…と、気持ちは次の対局に入っていたのですが、そのあとからの一手で一気に藤井七冠が優勢に一気に流れが変わります。

あれ？と、思ったのもつかの間あれよあれよと時間にして10分ほどでありました138手目で藤井七冠が勝ちとなる驚きの展開でありました。TV局はじめ関係者の方はバタバタでしたでしょうね…。

 

藤井八冠誕生の瞬間をみれたことは大変うれしかったのですが、私がとても印象的でいてかっこいいと思ったのは122手目以降の永井王座の姿でありました。

 

122手目以降の彼の頭中に渦巻く将棋盤にもはや追い込まれた悪手にアタマをかかえて天をあおぐ姿、どちらかというと永井王座の本気で戦いでのその追い込まれる姿に大変引き込まれました。（すみません。）自分があの場にあの状況でしたら、絶叫しながら将棋盤をなぎ倒していただろうな笑と思うのですが、お二人ともあのような局面でも棋士としての礼節を保ち、最後まで素晴らしい姿でしたね。これぞAI同士の将棋ではみれない人間ならではの、そしていいろな意味で歴史に残る激戦だったともいます。

 

また、前人未到の藤井八冠誕生と共にこの対局の最後の場面は間違いなく自分の記憶に残ると思うのですが、八冠の棋士を自分が生きている間にお目にかかれるなんてですよね。

 

それにても、先日のラグビーワールドカップもそうですが、彼らのようにあのように本気で臨むことなんて、自分の生活にはそんなにはない。だからでしょうか、昨日の対局のこらえながらもあのむき出しの姿に思いを馳せてしまいがちなのですが、それにしてもLIVEにはほんとかなわないな…と昨夜もあらてめて思うのでした。

It was this morning. As I was walking outside, I could smell the scent of autumn somewhere in the air.

It was a golden osmanthus. It must have been mixed in with the slightly cooler breeze, but I couldn’t find any trees that looked like a golden osmanthus as I looked around, but I was sure it was that scent. It only crossed my nose for a moment, but is it just me or does it always make me feel somewhat sad? Perhaps it was the prolonged hot weather, but this morning I realized that autumn was closer than I had expected.

 

I will not write a sequel to my trip to Nara this morning, but I would like to take the liberty of writing an extra issue today.

Sota Fujii, a professional Go player from Aichi Prefecture, has won an unprecedented 8th championship! This news has been all over Aichi Prefecture since last night. Congratulations!

 

 

Did you see the game last night?

In the 4th game of the 71st Oza Tournament between Sota Fujii (21), the 7th crown winner, and Takuya Nagase (31), the game was in its final stages, and about 10 minutes before the end of the game, the game changed dramatically and Fujii won 3-1, achieving an unprecedented monopoly of all 8 championships. Before the end of the game, before 9:00 p.m., the game changed dramatically in the last 10 minutes of the game, and the internet was filled with astonishment.

 

I was also watching the game live and wondered if such a thing was possible. I was sweating while watching the game, even though I am an amateur.

The game was already in the endgame, and the game had already been played for one minute, but by the 122nd move, the AI had determined that Oza Nagai had 99% and Shichikan Fujii had 1%, so it looked like Oza Nagai was completely winning. I thought that I was in the 5th game, and my mind was on to the next game, but one move later, the game changed to the favor of Fujii Shichikan at once.

I thought, “What’s going on? The TV station and other people involved must have been in a flurry of activity….

 

I was very happy to see the moment of the birth of Fujii’s 8th crown, but what I thought was very impressive and cool was Nagai’s appearance from move 122 onwards.

 

I was rather attracted by the way Nagai Oza was driven into a corner by the seriousness of the battle. （I am sorry.) If I had been in that situation, I would have screamed and knocked down the Shogi board, but both of them kept their civility as professionals in such a situation, and they were wonderful until the end. This is the kind of battle that cannot be seen in Shogi played by AI players, but only by humans, and in a good way, it was a fierce battle that will remain in history.

 

Also, the final scene of this game with the birth of the unprecedented Fujii 8-kan will definitely remain in my memory, and it was a great opportunity for me to see the 8-kan player while I am still alive.

 

Then again, like the Rugby World Cup the other day, I don’t have that many chances in my life to be as serious as they were in that way. That’s probably why I tend to think about the way they played the game last night, with all their patience, but I still think that I really can’t compete with LIVE… again last night.
