うららかな春の陽気が続く頃となりました、名古屋も昨日は汗ばんでしまうほどの暖かさと言いますか、暑さと言った方が正しいのか、そんな気候でございます。

今日も昨日と同じく暖かなお花見日和ですね。名古屋の桜は今週がピークのようでして、すでに所々葉桜になってしまっている木もちらほら…。お花見される方は寒暖差がありますので、羽織るものをお忘れなく楽しんできてください。

 

そういえば今朝知ったのですが、アメリカのThe New York Times(ニューヨークタイムズ)が「５２Places to Go in ２０２３」（２０２３年に行くべき５２か所）を発表し、イギリスの首都ロンドンに続く２番目に岩手県・盛岡市が紹介されたそうです。

紹介文には、東京からすぐ行ける、人混みなく歩いて回れる宝石的スポットと書かれていて、山々に囲まれた盛岡市は、日本の高速鉄道新幹線で東京から北へ数時間という点、また市街地は街歩きにとても適していて、大正時代に建てられた西洋と東洋の建築美が融合した建造物、近代的なホテル、歴史を感じさせる旅館（伝統的な宿泊施設）、蛇行して流れる川などの素材にあふれているのも魅力の一つと書かれていたそうです。

 

世界的に紹介された盛岡市、私はまだ一度も行ったことがないので今回は紹介された場所を皆さまと一緒に知って次回の旅行に生かしたいと思います。

 

まずは「盛岡城跡公園」（岩手公園）。

春は桜の名所として、夏は街の中心に緑の木陰をつくり、秋には見事な紅葉スポットに、冬は墨絵のような雪景色にすっぽりと包まれライトアップされた石垣が幻想的な冬の夜を演出する盛岡城跡公園。

なんて素敵な紹介文なのでしょう！春夏秋冬いつ行っても楽しめるスポット、ここは欠かせないです。ちなみに私は、冬は少し苦手ですが、墨絵のような雪景色はかなり気になります。

 

次に「中津川」。

こちらは市内を流れる一級河川。夏には鮎釣りを楽しむ事ができて、秋には産卵をために遡上するサケが見られるそうなんです。市内を流れる川でサケが見られるとは名古屋にいたら味わうことのできない体験ですよね。

 

食事編ですと・・・

「NAGASAWA COFFEE」。

コーヒー生豆の仕入れ、焙煎から抽出、そして提供まですべて一貫して手掛けるロースターカフェ。ドイツ製の焙煎機を使用し、独自の焙煎をすることで地元の方から愛されるコーヒーを作り続けているそうです。わたくし大のコーヒー好きですのでこちらは是非行ってみたい場所の一つです！

 

そして最後に、「BOOKNERD」(ブックナード)。

”BOOKNERD”は直訳すると”本オタク”という意味で、１５坪ほどの店内に本オタクの店主がセレクトした新刊本や古書、洋書や和書を常時約５０００冊取り揃えているのだとか。そして２０１８年より出版も手掛けていて、あの有名な”くどうれいん”　作家のデビュー作「わたしを空腹にしないほうがいい」の版元でもあるそうです。

こちらの「BOOKNERD」のお店周辺には、他にも行列ができる焼菓子店や、プリンとコーヒーが有名な喫茶店や、和食と骨董のお店などが軒を連ねているそうなので、とっても気になります。

 

調べれば調べるほど、魅力的な場所ということがとっても伝わりました。

きっとニューヨークタイムズでも取り上げられて今まで以上に大人気の旅行先となったこととは思いますが、是非とも年内には一度訪れてみたいと思います。

It’s about time the sunny weather of spring continues, and the weather in Nagoya was warm enough to make me sweaty yesterday.

Today is also a warm day for cherry blossom viewing, just like yesterday. The cherry blossoms in Nagoya seem to be at their peak this week, and some trees have already turned into leaves. If you are going to see the cherry blossoms, there is a difference in temperature, so please don’t forget to wear something to enjoy.

 

Speaking of which, I learned this morning that The New York Times in the United States announced “52 Places to Go in 2023” (52 places to go in 2023), the second after London, the capital of England. It seems that Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture, was introduced.

The introduction describes it as a gem of a spot that can be easily reached from Tokyo by foot without the crowds. The city area is very suitable for walking around the city, with buildings built in the Taisho period that combine the architectural beauty of the West and the East, modern hotels, historical inns (traditional lodging facilities), and meandering rivers. It seems that it was written that one of the attractions is that it is full of materials such as rivers.

 

I have never been to Morioka City, which has been introduced to the world, so I would like to learn about the places introduced this time with everyone and make use of them for my next trip.

First, “Morioka Castle Ruins Park” (Iwate Park).

In spring, it is a famous spot for cherry blossoms, in summer, it creates a shade of greenery in the center of the city, in autumn, it is a spot for beautiful autumn leaves, and in winter, it is a fantastic winter with a stone wall that is completely wrapped in a snowscape that looks like an ink painting and is lit up. Morioka Castle Ruins Park presents the night of the night.

What a lovely introduction! This is a must-see spot that you can enjoy at any time of the year. By the way, I’m not good at winter, but I’m quite curious about the snowy scenery like ink painting.

 

Next is “Nakatsugawa”.

This is a river that flows through the city. In the summer, you can enjoy fishing for sweetfish, and in the fall, you can see salmon swimming upstream to spawn. Seeing salmon in the rivers that run through the city is an experience that you cannot get if you are in Nagoya.

 

When it comes to food…

“NAGASAWA COFFEE”.

A roaster cafe that consistently handles everything from purchasing green coffee beans, roasting to extraction, and serving. It seems that they continue to make coffee that is loved by the locals by using a German-made roasting machine and roasting their own. I’m a big coffee lover, so this is one of the places I’d like to visit!

 

And finally, “BOOKNERD”.

“BOOKNERD” literally translates to “book otaku,” and the 5,000-square-meter store has about 5,000 new and old books, foreign and Japanese books selected by the book otaku shop owner. And since 2018, he has also been involved in publishing, and is said to be the publisher of the famous “Kudorain” writer’s debut work, “Don’t let me go hungry.”

Around this “BOOKNERD” shop, there are other baked confectionery shops where people line up, coffee shops famous for pudding and coffee, Japanese food shops and antique shops, so I am very interested. will be

 

The more I looked into it, the more I realized that it was a very attractive place.

I’m sure it’s been featured in the New York Times and has become a more popular travel destination than ever before, but I definitely want to visit it at least once this year.
