先日、ヤマザキマザック美術館にて「名古屋城からはじまる植物物語」を観た感想をこちらのブログで綴ったのですが、今回はその時に観たヤマザキマザック美術館の常設展について話していきたいと思います。

実はヤマザキマザック美術館の常設展に訪れた記憶がなく、もしかしたら初めてだったのかもしれません。

ヤマザキマザック美術館は２０１０年に開館しているそうなので、全然行ける距離なのに１１年間一度も行ったことがないことになりますね。

 

話を戻しますが、常設展を見て驚いたのは、内装の華やかさです。各部屋ごとで壁紙の色が違い、雰囲気が変わるなぁと思いました。そして、壁の色と掛けられた絵画がすごくはまっているものもあり、わざとかな？と友人と話していました。

美術館の常設展などは、作品を見るための空間ですが、ヤマザキマザック美術館の常設展は壁紙や内装もこだわっていて、まるで少しでけ飾られた絵画の時代にタイムスリップしたような感覚になりました。

 

 

常設展を見ていて、いいなと思う絵があったのですが、写真撮影が禁止のものだったので、写真撮影ができたものの中で気に入ったものを紹介していきたいと思います。

 

２つの作品の写真を撮ったのですが、どちらも同じ作家の物です。

いいなと思ったいくつかの作品が同じ作家のものだとなぞに嬉しくなります。

 

これらの作品は、フランスの画家モーリス・ドニによって描かれたもので、彼はナビ派の一員でもあります。（ナビ派とは、１９世紀末のパリで活動した前衛的な芸術家の集団）

ナビ派のメンバーには、ピエール・ボナールや、ポール・セリュジエ、アンリ・イベルスなどがいます。もし気になった方がいましたら、ぜひ調べてみてください。

 

彼は１８７０年にフランスのノルマンディー地方の海岸の町で生まれ、画家になってからも海と海岸線を好んで絵の主題としていたそうです。

わたしの撮った絵の写真の２枚の内１枚の「エウリュディケ」という作品も画面上半分に海が広がっていますね。

タイトルにあるエウリュディケとは、ギリシア神話に登場する森の木の精霊のことです。

 

 

また、ドニはアカデミーで将来のナビ派のメンバーとなる画家仲間に出会いました。ナビ派の「ナビ」とは、ヘブライ語で預言者を意味し、自分たちが新しい表現の形を作り出すという意思の表れだったそうです。

１９４３年にドニは交通事故が原因で死去しましたが、ドニの生涯を調べてみると、多くの画家と交流があり、色々な人（画家）に影響を及ぼしていたのではないかなと思います。

実際、ドニは最も早く絵画の平面性に注目した画家のひとりであると言われ、このことは、モダニスムの出発点であるともいえるそうです。

どんなことにおいても、多角的な視点が必要なんだなと思いました。

 

 

前回の「名古屋城からはじまる植物物語」では伊藤圭介の私生活（食生活）について展示してありました。今回は、常設展で気になった作家について少し調べてみましたが、画家の生涯や私生活は面白い内容もあったり、自分が好きな画家との繋がりがあったりと発見もあるので、皆さまももし気になる偉人などがいましたらぜひ調べてみてほしいなと思いました。

Actually, I don’t remember visiting the permanent exhibition at the Yamazaki Mazak Museum, so maybe it was my first time.

The Yamazaki Mazak Museum is said to have opened in 2010, so even though it’s within walking distance, you’ve never been there for 11 years.

 

Returning to the story, what surprised me when I saw the permanent exhibition was the gorgeous interior. I thought that the color of the wallpaper would be different in each room and the atmosphere would change. And there are some that the color of the wall and the paintings hung on it are very addictive, is it intentional? I was talking to a friend.

The permanent exhibition of the museum is a space for seeing the works, but the permanent exhibition of the Yamazaki Mazak Museum is particular about the wallpaper and interior, and it feels like a time slip in the era of paintings decorated with a little. I did.

When I was looking at the permanent exhibition, I found a picture that I liked, but photography was prohibited, so I would like to introduce some of the things I liked.

 

I took pictures of two works, both of which are from the same artist.

It makes me happy that some of the works I like are from the same artist.

 

These works were painted by the French painter Maurice Denis, who is also a member of the Les Nabis. (Les Nabis is a group of avant-garde artists who were active in Paris at the end of the 19th century)

Members of the Les Nabis include Pierre Bonnard, Paul Sérusier and Henri Ibers. If you are interested, please check it out.

 

He was born in 1870 in a coastal town in the Normandy region of France, and even after becoming a painter, he liked the sea and the coastline as the subject of his paintings.

One of the two pictures I took, “Eurydice,” also has the ocean in the upper half of the screen.

Eurydice in the title is the spirit of the forest tree that appears in Greek mythology.

Doni also met a fellow painter at the Academy who would become a member of the future Les Nabis. The Les Nabis “navi” means a prophet in Hebrew and is said to be an expression of their intention to create a new form of expression.

Doni died in a car accident in 1943, but looking at Doni’s life, he may have interacted with many painters and influenced various people (painters). I think.

In fact, Doni is said to be one of the earliest painters to pay attention to the flatness of paintings, which can be said to be the starting point of modernism.

I thought that we needed a multifaceted perspective in everything.

In the previous “Botanical Story Beginning with Nagoya Castle”, Keisuke Ito’s private life (dietary habits) was exhibited. This time, I did a little research on the artists I was interested in at the permanent exhibition, but I found that the life and personal life of the painter was interesting and that there was a connection with the painter I liked, so everyone.
