突然ですが、『びじゅチューン！』ってご存じですか？子どもに人気の美術番組で、NHK　Eテレでで2013年から放送されているものです。でも、子ども番組と侮るなかれ。世界の美術をユニークな歌とアニメーションで紹介する番組で、日本の絵画・世界の絵画・立体物構造物の３ジャンルから著名な美術作品をテーマに作られる、1分半前後のオリジナルソングが面白いんですよ。毎回5分間の番組の中でオリジナルソング→曲、作品の趣旨解説→オリジナルソングという構成で紹介してくれます。

 

みなさんもよくご存じでしょう『風神雷神図屏風』も紹介されていました。こちらは、黄金に輝く天空を、風をはらんで疾走する風神と、筋肉隆々な身体を見せつけて雷鳴を轟かせる雷神が、躍動感あふれる様子で描かれた俵屋宗達の作品です。三十三間堂の千手観音の眷属である風神雷神の一対をモデルに２神だけを独立して描いたとされている作品で、金の屏風に風神と雷神が描かれる構図はインパクトが強く、一度は目にしたことがある方が多いのではないでしょうか。

 

その『風神雷神図屏風』が『びじゅチューン！』の手に掛かれば、とたんにポップなものに変わってしまうのです。もともと俵屋宗達が描いた風神雷神の表情が、人間的で親しみのある笑顔に見えるのですが、それを作者井上涼さんは見逃さなかったのでしょうね。『びじゅチューン！』の作品の中では、風神と雷神が恋人かのように描き、金屏風の前で密かに待ち合わせをする設定になっているのです。「あなたといれば　どこだってキンキラ☆」です。もう、高尚な美術作品をモチーフに今の人にもピンとくる内容で、クスクスと笑える作品にしてくれています。それだけでなく、本物にも興味を持って調べたくなったり、見に行きたくなりませんか？実際に私の友人は、子どもとこの番組を見ていてハマり、長期の休みには本物を見に現地までいく旅行をしていました。この『風神雷神図屛風』を見に京都の建仁寺に行ったという話を聞き、芸術が身近に感じられて素敵だなと思いました。

 

こちらの番組が出来た経緯は、『日曜美術館』を担当するNHKエデュケーショナルの倉森京子さんが、美術番組を高尚と思う人が多いことから美術の入り口になるような番組を検討していた時に、別番組で出会った映像作家の井上涼さんを直感で気に入りオファーしたことで出来たようです。その目論見は大成功だったのではないでしょうか。2013年から8年も続いて愛される番組になりましたし、私の友人のように番組が引き金になって美術作品を見に行きたくなった方が全国にどれだけいたでしょう。

 

クスっと笑える作品で私が好きなのがもう1つあります。それがサンドロ・ボッティチェッリの『春（プリマヴェーラ）』を題材にした「プリマヴェーラに家庭訪問」という作品です。原作は、春の森に集う古代神話の神々を描いた作品で、あまりにも有名です。

春の主人公ヴィーナスが女学生の設定で始まりますが、今日が家庭訪問だということを家族に伝え忘れていたのです。そこで帰りに携帯メールからそのことを伝えると、家族みんながてんやわんやになって、みんながそれぞれにおかしなことをしだすのです。その家族というのが、『春』の中に描かれる神々ですが…。家の中は散らかり放題だからと、西風の神ゼフェロスがビューっと一吹き、風で片付けようとしますが、失敗。それを見たクロリスが口から花をだすという発作がおこり…。もう、こうなったあるがままにみせよう、とみんなが踊りだすのです。なぜ踊るのかというと理由は、いつも春だから。浮かれてしまう家族たちを、ありのままに見せて、先生も一緒に踊りましょう、というどうにでもなれの境地です。

原作を知っていると、『びじゅチューン』でコミカルに描かれる登場人物たちが身近に感じられて愛おしくなります。だって、現実でもこんなことがおこりそうですもんね。もし知らなくても、原作を調べてみたくなり、さらに行ける距離であれば、その作品を直接見に出掛けたくなります。

 

今は、Eテレで毎週月曜の午後１１時１５分から放送していて、再放送も週に3回あるようです。でも、手っ取り早いのはユーチューブですね。『びじゅチューン！』と検索すると、たくさんの作品たちが出てきます。もしご興味があったら、ご覧になってみてください。

When I heard that I went to Kenninji Temple in Kyoto to see this “Fujin and Raijinzu Ryofu”, I thought it was wonderful to feel the art close to me.

 

The reason why this program was made is that Kyoko Kuramori of NHK Educational, who is in charge of “Sunday Art Museum”, is considering a program that will be the entrance to art because many people think that art programs are noble. At that time, it seems that he was able to make an offer by intuitively liking Ryo Inoue, a videographer he met on another program. I think her plan was a great success. It has been a beloved show for eight years since 2013, and how many people in the country like my friends would want to go see a work of art triggered by the show.

 

There is another work that makes me laugh and I like it. That is the work “Home visit to Primavera” based on Sandro Botticelli’s “Spring (Primavera)”. The original is a work that depicts the gods of ancient myths gathering in the spring forest, and is too famous.

 

The spring protagonist Venus begins in a schoolgirl setting, but she forgets to tell her family that today is a home visit. Then, when I tell them from my cell phone on my way home, the whole family becomes sick and everyone starts to do strange things. The family is the gods depicted in “Spring” … Zephyros, the god of the wind, blows at the house and tries to get rid of it with the wind, but he fails. When Chloris saw it, he had a seizure of flowers coming out of his mouth. Everyone starts to dance to show it as it is. The reason why I dance is because it’s always spring. It’s a place where you can show your family as they are and let the teacher dance with you.

 

If you know the original, you will feel close to the characters depicted comically in “Biju Tune” and you will love them. Because, even in reality, this is likely to happen.
